Scorpinac: Point taken, but why are they the second most popular het pairing next to Lee and Sakura? There's just no evidence...never mind my random thoughts...they just like running away with me.

"The first attempt could not be made. He was sleeping with her last night. Had we tried we might have killed him as well."
"Damn," the head elder swears to the ninja assassin. "Then we shall go for the next plan."

He hadn't meant to fall asleep in her room, but he had enjoyed being so close to her. Now though, he was looking up into his mother's stern eyes.
"Did you know that anyone with magical senses can feel you when you do that?" she asked annoyance evidence in her voice.
"I apologize," Lee said sheepishly.
"That's one reason you should stay in Readington. There aren't any that can feel when you are being intimate with each other. Now get up and wake your future wife...breakfast will be served soon and the elders wish to see you afterwards." Yelan laid out and Lee sighed after she left. It was a good thing that she was a deep sleeper or she would have been embraced than he had been. Then, her eyes opened and Lee felt her grab a hold of him and hug him tightly.
"Lee...I've got..."
'Ah hell, her prophetic powers flared up again...that's never good.' he thought. "Don't worry, now we know to be careful today. C'mon, we've got to get ready for breakfast."

"You don't have those two star crossed lovers with you. This ought to be fun." Trenton said grinning in anticipation.
"Give it your best try, Trenton, but you'll just be embarrassed once again." Meilin taunted.
"We'll see about that," Trenton retorted and attacks.

"No...stop!" Lee complained as his sisters smother him with affection and Sakura giggles at Lee's predicament.
"Girls, that's enough." Yelan barks and the four sit down. Lee gives his mother a grateful look. "Don't get used to your presence, he'll be leaving after his business with the elders is concluded." she explained.
"Awe," they complain and Sakura giggled at Lee's expression.

"You see?" Trenton taunted, but he eats a blast from Eli.
"And yet, you can't beat me even with Shienna's powers. I've got to wonder if your body hasn't fully integrated her powers. If that's so, then we don't need Sakura and Lee to beat you." Eli brags but has to shield himself from a blast from Trenton.
"Why don't you shut up." he growled at the reincarnated mage.

"Do you realize the risk you put this family through every time you fight a threat like this 'Trenton'? You are the only male heir! You must understand this!" the head elder shouted.
"I am one of two masters of the Clow cards. The cards need both our magics in order to continue to exist. It would not matter where I am, some sort of magical threat will want to take me out." Lee retorts.
"That may be true, but you would be better protected here." a second interjects.
"Better protected, or better controlled?" Lee fired back. Yelan smirked at that remark made by her son.
"We must admit that you've turned out different from what we wanted." a third commented.

"Die," Trenton snarled and a killing blast almost takes out Shienna, but Eli deflect it away.
"I can't let you do that, Trenton." Eli said in a professorial tone angering the demon mage.
"We'll see who lets who do anything! You've been a thorn in my side since you returned to Readington.Now, I'm going to pluck you out!"

"I will not allow you to split us up." Lee stated holding onto Sakura's hand.
"Then we need to take care of that." the head elder says. She didn't know why, but Sakura had the urge to move just to the left a little. She does so, and the star shaped weapon misses her, but the gasp of pain and the indignant cry from Yelan alerted Sakura that Lee had been hurt.

"Damn," Trenton growled flexing his wing. He had used it as a shield in order to block Wulf's violent hammer shot. "You almost broke my wing."
"He'll break you in half if you let him." Meilin challenged. Seeing an opportunity, Josh fired off his freeze ray making the demon hiss in pain. An arrow pierces his damaged wing and two fiery attacks join in as well from Keroberos and Ember.
"You see, you can't win because your soul is so tainted with evil." Eli said readying another attack.
"Ahhh!" he shouts and leaves.

"Ooooohhh," Lee hissed as his mother cleaned the wound in his left arm.
"I cannot believe they would try and pull such a stunt as this!" Yelan railed. Sakura hugged Lee's right side and tried not to cry.
"That-that-that..." Sakura began but Lee pulled her closer.
"You avoided the blow." Lee comforted.
"But it almost..."
"It didn't. I'll be fine." Lee assured and Sakura hugged him tighter.
'I love you.' she sent now using their link to talk. 'If I were ever to lose...'
'You never will Sakura, you never willl.' he replies and Yelan admires the two's ability to communicate wordless. Deep within her soul, she wished that her husband was still around.

"Oh that was just a load of fun." Meilin remarked sarcastically.
"Guys, I got a message from Sakura, Meilin, the elders tried to kill her, but they ended up hurting Lee." Madison explained and Meilin's face turns purple.
"Fucking damned son of a bitch bastards!" she shouted and Wulf winces. His girlfriend's temper was out fully.
"Are they going to be alright?" Keroberos asks.
"She's fine, but Lee will be staying for a few more days. Sakura wanted to use the healing card, but Lee's mother stopped her." Madison relayed.
"That card relies on the magic of the users, and if the user is injured and attempts to use it on themselves the card will not be as effective." Yue explained.
"He's correct." Eli affirmed.
"Oh, and how would you know? That card wasn't originally in the deck!" Shienna Shouted.
"Will you please get off my ass?" Eli asked politely swearing.
"Even swears politely." Josh mused and Wulf rolls his eyes. Babysitting these two was becoming a pain in the butt.
