Chapter 24 You can Count on Asuna

Negi is in the bath and four of his students are tearing off his clothes. Not different from what usually happens when he’s here, but this time they will not stop with undressing him, they will do some very nasty things to him because Evangeline is controlling them.
But suddenly he has to sneeze and all the girls clothes are destroyed leaving them stark naked. He has gotten a little breathing space and he grabs his staff. For the first time his clothes-shattering sneeze is a help and not a problem. But Eva makes the girls attack him again.

“I gotta get away, I cannot fight all of them at the same time, I don’t want to hurt them, I must get out in the open and see if I can deal with them one by one.”

He flies naked through the window and out in the dark night. Eva is coming after him but he’s flying fast and low in between the buildings, he doesn’t want to fight her right now. He seems to have lost her but suddenly Yuuna and Makie are standing in front of him and he gets distracted for a second. They attack him and he loses his staff. They seem to be both stronger and faster than usual and Makie hits him with a kick in the face.

“Ouch, that hurt, but I don’t want to fight naked girls, they are my students, I must save them.”

But they want to fight and Yuuna jumps up on him from behind and sits on his shoulders. Makie goes into a clinch and they tear him down so he’s lying on his back. But it’s not knockout yet and Makie sits down on his bare hips holding his arms and Yuuna is sitting on his chest. She pushes her hips forward and Negi feels her belly towards his face and he knows what will come next. He can also feel Makie rubbing her abdomen against his.

“Noooo!” he screams and with one desperate twist he manages to fling them off and he catches his staff and quickly ascends up in the air.

“This leaves me no choice,” he says and starts to pronounce one of the most powerful spells he knows. They are coming after him, Yuuna with her basketball and Makie with her ribbon and he is hardly able to finish the spell, but when he does the score is settled.

The girls are lying lifeless on the ground and Negi checks if they have broken any bones or something. Luckily they haven’t suffered any physical damage, but he can’t just let them lie there, they will soon wake up.

“I’m sorry for doing this,” he says while he is tying them together by their hands while they are sitting with their backs towards a column. “I will come back for you as soon as this is over.”

“Asuna, please wake up.” Konoka is sitting in Asuna’s bed shaking her shoulders.

“Uh, what is it?” says Asuna half asleep.

“It’s Negi-kun. He went out for more than two hours ago and he hasn’t come back. I’m worried for him now when it’s all dark because of the blackout.”

“Yes, you’re right. I must go out looking for him.” Asuna sits up in the bed and she quickly climbs down and runs out.

“It’s so dark; I should have brought a flash light. I cannot see anything. And where shall I look?” But then she hears some noise and runs in the direction where it’s coming from. “This way leads to the big bridge.” She knows the campus pretty good from living here for several years. And she is right; on the middle of the bridge leading out of the campus Negi is fighting Evangeline and Chachamaru in a battle between mages. And Negi seems to be in trouble, he is sitting on the ground and Evangeline is bending over him. He knew Eva couldn’t leave the academy’s ground and he was trying to get out of there to attack her from the outside but she caught up with him just before the border and now she has the upper hand.

Asuna runs faster than she’d ever done before and jumps up and uses her speed to kick Evangeline hard in the face. Even kung fu expert Ku Fei couldn’t have done it better.

“You will never have my Negi-chan, you bloodsucking creep,” she is screaming.

Evangeline is thrown several meters through the air before she lands hard on the concrete. “Asuna again. How does she manage to break my magic barrier and hit me physically? Not even the boy has done that.”

“Negi, are you all right?”

“Yes I’m fine Asuna,” says Negi and rises up. “Thank you for…”

“It’s not time for that now. We must get away.” She grabs Negi’s hand and they run in safety behind the building nearest to the bridge. There’s a shed in front of them and they go inside.

“You stupid brat,” says Asuna when they can sit down. “Why did you go off to fight the vampire all by yourself? We are partners right? And we should do this together. Do you want to get killed? You know you can’t beat her alone.”

“I’m sorry Asuna, I just don’t wanted you to get involved…”

“I am already involved, and… you are so cold, you shouldn’t be naked at night time. She destroyed your clothes, just like you…”
Negi doesn’t answer, he doesn’t want to talk about it now, that it was not Evangeline who destroyed his clothes. Hopefully the four girls who were under Evangeline’s evil spell will not cause any more trouble.

“I will warm you, just relax.” She embraces him and rubs her hands on his back and chest. “Let’s lie down.“

The shed contains the things that are being used for the garden festival and they are sitting on a tent canvas. She lies down on her back with Negi on top of her.
