Chapter of the 9
It had been a week and Tatsumi had found no sign of the infamous doctor Muraki. Tsuzuki and Hisoka did all they could do to try and find any sign that would help find the neko who was so close to the normally cold hearted romance novelist.
Eiri couldn't write a single word in his novels while he worried about his lover. Shuichi was the only thing that filled Eiri's mind. He needed, no craved his boy. His appetite had also ran thin, but he still ate knowing that he needed the strength to save Shuichi when they found him. He sighed as he sat in his office alone, his laptop on with a picture of him a Shuichi set as the desktop background.
Another sigh left Eiri's lips as he turned off his laptop and reclined back in his chair, the sound of silence ringing in his ears. He didn't even bother to stand when he heard the front door open, signaling the return of the two shinigami who were helping to find Shuichi. He heard Tsuzuki complaining about being hungry and Hisoka scolding him before the sound of the older Shinigami's cell phone going off. Eiri sat up straight knowing that the call could only be about his kidnapped lover. He stood and walked to to the door to listen.
“...Really? Tatsumi that great so where is he?” Tsuzuki demanded in a serious tone. There was a pause showing that Tatsumi was speaking to Tsuzuki.
“Tsuzuki.” Hisoka pushed wanting to know what Tatsumi was saying.
Tsuzuki raised a hand telling Hisoka to hold on. “Alright. We'll leave right away. Be sure to get there as soon as you can Tatsumi we may need your help with this one.” The phone beeped as the call ended.
“Eiri. Come out here we have good news.” Hisoka called to the office door as he and Tsuzuki sat down on the couch and waited.
They didn't have to wait long before Eiri was out into the living room and sitting in a recliner. “Where is Shuichi?” He demanded quickly, obvious that he had been listening through the closed office door.
Tsukzi looked at Hisoka then began. “Tatsumi has located Muraki up in the mountains, in a part that is hard to get to by car or anything like that. We can make it to a certain point then we would have to walk.”
“Then let's hurry and go get Shuichi back.” Eiri was getting restless sitting around now that they knew the location of the psycho who took Shuichi.
“That's our plan, but we have to be careful once we get there.” Hisoka finally spoke again. “It might take Tatsumi a while to get there and since we are coming from bellow Muraki would have the upper had on knowing when we get there. He will probably have some of his dolls be out watching for us in the forest.”
“I don't give a damn what will happen I just want Shuichi back!” Eiri snapped. His fuse was getting shorter and shorter as they days slipped by him and it was almost to the end. “You said we'd be leaving right away? Then let's go.” he stood and went to his bedroom, grabbing a few things he might need on the way up the mountain.

Shuichi was standing on the balcheny of the room he had been living in for the past week. The only time he could leave it was when Muraki was with him but today he was to be locked in his room for most of the day, the doctor being gone doing some work. A lonely mew slipped past Shuichi's lips as he leaned against the railing and looked out over the trees of the forest. Normally the neko would enjoy such a seen, but he felt that something was missing, a key item to making the sight be enjoyable and he felt it was Eiri. He still had dreams about the man every night he slept especially after the encounter the week before. He moved slowly to go sit on a cushioned chair set out there for days like this. He mewed softly then winced, sore from all of the days and nights he was to endure the sick nature of the doctor. The chair felt soft and silky to his thighs and sore rear, he relaxed and closed his eyes, hoping he would be free from the place he was held in soon. Shuichi wished that despite the words of the doctor telling him he would die if he was without the mad doctor.

Tsuzuki and Hisoka led the way with Eiri following close behind. It didn't take them long by car to reach the point where they would have to begin walking to the hidden building in the forest where Shuichi was being held. The walk though would take a great deal of time, possibly half a day or as long as three days depending on how fast they went and how many times they needed to stop.
Despite how rough the terrain was it didn't slow Eiri down one bit. He pushed Tsuzuki to keep going whenever he would slow even a bit and same with Hisoka, but the empath didn't need to be told anything. He could sense the determination in Eiri. He could even sense the dull emotions of creatures obviously under the control of Muraki witch helped him keep his eyes open for any sign that they might have been seen or were being followed.
They continues on like that for a good part of the day before deciding to stop for a short rest. Eiri took this time to take a short nap and eat to keep his strength up. He would risk his life if he had to to save Shuichi. Tsuzuki and Hisoka watched the blond man sleep and sighed.
“He sure is determined to get Shuichi back.” Tsuzuki said quietly as not to wake the novelist.
“I know that better then you do Tsuzuki.” hisoka pointed out. “And we need to be careful. I can sense Muraki's dolls around us, but luckily we haven't been noticed.”
“That's good.” Tsuzuki stretched. “And at this rate we'll get there by sometime tomorrow afternoon. I thought it would take much longer then this.”
“Just don't forget who's lover Muraki took. Even though Eiri doesn't have any special powers or anything he would still give a good beating if he had the chance. I can sense it, he's killed before in his life and isn't afraid to do it again.”
“I saw that in his record. I looked him up to know just which two people we were dealing with.” Tsuzuki yawned.
“Get some rest. I'll stay up and keep watch for anything.” Hisoka said softly the feelings he held for Tsuzuki coming through more then they ever had.
“Mmm.. Alright...just be careful Hiso.” Tsuzuki mumbled before slipping off to sleep.
