Chapter 8, The Dilemma, and the Singer
Chapter 8, The Dilemma, and the Singer
The two singers brushed past the angered writer, the elder of them set on getting the other away from the man.
“Ryu! Ryu....matte o...” Shuichi said stammering slightly as he was dragged across the floor.
Ryuichi pulled him roughly back into his arms, and resumed dancing, this time to a slower song...and it seemed as if K had somehow gotten the singer to come and perform for everybody.
Shuichi looked up wide eyed at the singer and the backup singer, amazed by their beautiful voices.
~~I am Calling Calling now, Spirits rise and falling
Soboj ostat'sya dol'she...
Calling Calling, in the depth of longing
Soboj ostat'sya dol'she...
Stand alone... Where was life when it had a meaning...
Stand alone... Nothing's real anymore and...
...Beskonechnyj beg...
Poka zhiva ya mogu starat'sya na letu ne upast',
Ne razuchit'sya mechtat'...lyubit'...
...Beskonechnyj beg...~~
Ryuichi smiled, noting Shuichi's amazed expression.
“Ano...Ryu? What language is that?” he asked softly. Ryuichi chuckled,
“It's Russian, Shu-chan. That girl that's currently singing happens to be an old friend of Tohma's that K somehow managed to contact without him knowing.” He said snickering slightly as he watched Tohma's expression.
Yuki stopped, and looked at the singer(s), noting their somewhat ancient-looking outfits that seem Egyptian, not Russian. He shook his head and continued walking towards the two dancing singers.
After a while, Tohma walked up on stage halfway through, turned on his keyboard, and accompanied them further. The new bass-beat immediately got the others moving, but the writer was oblivious to the new addition.
He walked up to Ryuichi slowly, and tapped him on the shoulder once again. Ryuichi looked up slightly, only to be connected with a fist that has a very big ring on it. Shuichi gasped loudly in shock, causing the others around them to turn and look, wide-eyed.
The singer stopped, and looked at the scene, her eyes narrowing into slits. Her sunglasses prevented anyone from seeing her true eye color, but it didn't really matter to anyone else.
She stepped off the stage, and walked gracefully towards the three. She stopped, heaving Ryuichi gently off the floor, while giving Yuki a hard glare.
“Yuki-san. I advise you to keep your temper while in my presence. I do not take lightly to anger due to unappreciated feelings.” she said coldly, taking her sunglasses off for the first time that she has been there.
Yuki's eyes widened as her eyes came into full view, a slight scar on the side of her left cheek.
“Eiri-kun...please control yourself on these grounds.” Tohma said sliding up next to them. “I apologize for my brother's crude actions, Hikari-chan. Shall we continue?” he asked bowing to her slightly.
She smiled and put back on her glasses, throwing a last glare to Yuki.
“Also, Sakuma-san. Please do not provoke Yuki-san unnecessarily. While he may deserve it for various reasons, that is no reason to blatantly approach him in that manner.” she finished nodding to Ryuichi and Shuichi, heading back to the stage.
Shuichi gaped, his mouth opening and closing repeatedly.
“You look like a fish, doing that.” Hiro joked, walking up to his best friend, tapping him on the back friendly.
“Hi...Hiro! My god....did you see the color of her eyes?” he asked obviously impressed. Hiro rolled his eyes, threw his head back, and laughed.
“You should talk, Shu-chan.....you've got a weird eye color too.” he said teasing. Shuichi pouted and stuck out his tongue, punching Hiro lightly in the arm.
“Ha ha, very funny, Hiro. But it was so weird! Her eyes were bright red!” he cried enthusiastically waving his arms.
Yuki rubbed his forehead gingerly, glaring at the singer as she continued to sing.
“What the hell was that all about.....I wonder?” he asked himself.
“Ah, I'm sure you must be wondering who that young lady is!” a long blonde with a heavy American accent said, sliding up next to Yuki, pounding him once on the back. Yuki coughed and glared at the gaijin, obviously annoyed.
“That young lady used to be in the military, my young writer. I would advise you not to piss her off. She was a colonel in her time, at the age of 12, the youngest they've ever had.” he explained, grinning as Yuki's expression changed to shock.
'A colonel at the age of 12? And a singer? How the hell does Tohma meet these people?' he thought, plopping himself down in a chair.
“Yuki-san, Tohma-kun asked her to advise you and to help you control your temper. I hope you two will get along!” he sang cheerfully slapping him on the back again, walking away to play with the electronic equipment.
“What the hell was Tohma thinking?!” he mumbled angrily, watching the singers and Tohma play up on the stage.
He had a feeling for some reason that if he stepped out of line, he would be getting his ass handed to him on a silver platter. He prayed that he would get out of this alive.

Footnotes:
*grins * I know, I know, I'm evil, aren't I...to end it right there?
Don't worry, minna....there will be a sequel. The only reason why I ended it there was because of the new OC. Soooo yeah...
Keep in mind, that when I started this fic, I had absolutely no idea where it would end up. I thought randomly, “Hey, what would happen if I brought in one of my OC's into it?” and more insanity will commence, I know.
This Chapter is best read when listening to “Inner Universe”, which is the opening from Ghost in the Shell. (yes, that was the song in the lyrics) I always listen to music when I type....so I had to put that song in there. >.<;; I'm such a nerd.
The song can be found at gendou.com, or google search galbadia hotel.
Thanks again, read and review. I'll update again soon for the sequel!
