Raito’s chest heaved from where he had crashed down upon the older genius. He felt peaceful for the first time in quite awhile. The teen did not wonder about the criminals who were going unpunished while Kira was on this vacation in New York. He did not ponder an escape if police should come pouring through the door, this all having been some ploy to make him confess. The only thoughts that danced through his mind were ones filled with desire and care for Ryuuzaki.
L was having a much harder time catching his breath with the extra weight upon his torso, though he would never admit such a thing. “Raito~kun?”
The syllables landed like bricks against his skull, but the Yagami boy managed to wince out, “Hai?”
“Did you know, … that come has almost exactly the same chemical makeup as human blood?”
The teen chuckled softly against the older man’s chest. “Of course I know that,” Raito nipped softly at his lover’s damp chest.
“I suppose I should have realized that you were aware of such information, however, I never would have guessed you to be a fan of Brite~san.”
“I should think the same of you.” the teenager moved so that he was beside his lover, instead of on him.
“Shall we dress as Ghost and Steve next Halloween?” Ryuuzaki nuzzled his head against the boy’s shoulder.
“Iie,” a pause, “Zillah and Nothing.”
“Or, perhaps, Zillah and Ghost.”
The younger genius leaned up to look down at his boyfriend, “That doesn’t make any sense.”
L pulled him back down against the pillows, “Neither do we.”
Kira chuckled again, “True.” He opened his mouth to add something else, but changed his mind as he saw that the detective was already fast asleep against him. The boy smiled gently, realizing it was the first time he had seen him sleep without his usual sitting position. The criminal deity wrapped his arms around the slim form, drawing him near before joining him in slumber.
