Once in the car the twins immediately fell asleep. Chapter 18: snow castles

There they found Kai desperately trying to read a cooking manual as the twins ran circles around him. “Yo, can you distract these munchkins I’m trying to get ready in time so that our guests won’t starve.” But there was no need for this comment as the twins had already jumped in to Haji’s arms. “Otoosan! He coughed as the snow hit him unexpectedly in the face. “Saya it is very cold may we go inside for a while and come back out later?” she grinned at him “ ok but only for a few minutes.” “Arigatou.” They walked in to the eastern corridor winding stair cases until they came to their room. Haji pulled off his wet cloths dressing in a fresh pair of undergarments. He grabbed a blanket out of the closet and sat in front of the fire before looking up at Says struggling with the cords on her dress. “Would you like some help?” she sighed admitting defeated nodding. He dropped the blanket at his feet and stood behind her untying the hard knots. “Haji, why do you always tie them so tightly?” “Hmm?” he laid her dress next to his suit going in to the closet and puling out a new set of cloths for her. when he emerged she was bare folding her undergarments neatly on top of the sopping wet pile. “Saya?” she turned to meet him. he had seen her bear before every day in fact for she refused to let any one else dress her but the light of the fire shown brightly to make her curves more defined. “Haji I don’t want that. let me breath for once.” She walked over to the dresser drawers and pulled out one of his button down shirts. “Haji it’s ok right?” he nodded a slight smile appeared on his angular face. “Of course.” She turned toward the fire as she buttoned the long shirt reaching below her waist, leaving it open more at the top. “Haji if you grow any taller I could use your shirts as an evening gown.” She sighed sitting on the hearth grabbing the blanket patting the floor for him to come as well. He sat beside her nestled under the blanket. She scooted closer to him as she shivered slightly. Her wrapped her tightly in his arms kissing her neck and shoulder his sable tresses flowing over her moist skin. “Haji that tickles.” She placed a hand at his waist. The wind blew hard against the window causing it to burst open spreading snow all over the floor. Haji jumped up closing it and wrapping a rope tightly around it. But don’t hog all of the blankets like you usually do.” “Saya that was one time and I was sick.” “Haji?” she laid her head on his firm chest. “Hmm?” “Some day after Joel and amshell are gone will you stay here with me?” his hand rested on her middle. “I thought you wanted to travel” he felt her warm breath over his chest as she spoke softly. “I do want to travel. But I would like to come back here after all of that and settle for a while. Maybe continue the vineyard or finally find an animal that likes me, and maybe even have a family.” Her fingers traced the well defined ridges along his torso. “Saya, I will stay with you for the rest of my life if that is what you want.” “Arigatou.”

Chapter19: Nerdy party ..gives you wings

the two youngest queens came running up to them yelling. “otoosan, okaasan, kai, their here their here!” “Who’s here?” Kai leaned on the window “uncles David, Luis, and Akihiro,” “Aunties Mao, and Julia.” Saya captured Haji’s gaze then nodded in agreement. “All right all right bring them in.”

“Yo Haji I heard that you had a bit of a dip what is it with you chiropterans not wanting to take care of yourselves?” the large man patted his arm as he entered. “Kai how have you survived living here with these two I mean I only have Katsu and my lovely wife” he quickly stated as his better half entered as well “and our place is like a mad house!” “it’s simple really I just Call Saya and Haji in the room and they leave me to my work. i offered to build them a tree house but you know what they said? ‘why would we want a tree house when we have the same view from Haji’s shoulders!” they laughed as Kai brought out some of the trays of food. Saya followed setting some in front of Julia whispering “I have a favor to ask after dinner.” Before she left to gather more only to have it taken away by Haji who politely commented that she should enjoy the evening and socialize. The twins were mesmerized by the sight of Mou’s newborn and insisted on staying with him throughout the meal. After all of the plates were set out Haji seated himself beside Saya who found it amusing to pretend to move the hashi to her mouth but side swept at the last moment and pushed them in to her ever tolerant Chevalier’s. “Well I see you two are getting along even better than usual and that’s pretty hard to top.” She flushed at Akihiro’s statement. “it looks as though I do have a story after all.” He started to take his note book out of his vest pocket but Mao pressed her hand over his. “Aki you put that away right now. It’s their busyness not ours.” Saya leaned over to her companion whispering to him. “Haji I’m thirsty.” “As you wish.” He stood taking her hand and leading her in to the next room. He sat on a near by chair as she sat over him pushing back his collar and penetrating his flesh with her razor sharp teeth. The crowd dwindled and Kai finally went to bed after tucking the twins safely away in their own bed. Julia stayed in the den soon joined by Haji and his beloved queen. “everything is going all right isn’t it? Both healthy?” Haji placed a hand on her knee comforting her still. “You know that enzyme that you have been working on, the one that would make it possible for Haji and I to conceive? Could you explain about how it works?” Julia gave a slightly surprised nod. “it’s simple really. Haji’s blood has a certain let’s say barrier such as yours so that the chromosomes can not mach up. think of it like a cat mating with a dog sure they can though the need is not there yet they can not conceive. At the point I was two months ago I could only find a product in a hybrid like the shif. A lion and a tiger may produce a sterile offspring in a liger or a tion. But now since I have samples of both of your blood I can use I just use the small amount of blood that Haji has given me and electronically manipulate the barrier by changing the reseptants and the same with yours Saya. after that all I need is to inject each of your blood back in to your veins their for making you completely receptive of each other but sterile to any one else. For that I’m afraid I will need to spend even more time in the lab. Oh and it won’t change the potency but will only allow a conception so if in some truly misfortunate event that either of you were sterile to begin with I can not help you there and of course vice versa. Well I know that it’s late so I’ll be going come by the clinic tomorrow I still have some tests to run for the enzyme for your longer activity state since you have already solved the shorter sleep on your own it’s just a precaution. Haji please if you don’t want children with me now or.. ever then please just tell me.” he kissed her shoulder before turning back to her. “Saya of course I want children with you and when ever you are ready so will I be. I only mean to say that look around. Kai is under so much stress lately and the twins are every where. Do you not think that we should focus on them for the time being? If it is your wish I will leave right now barge in to Julia’s house and demand that she gives us the enzyme but Saya we have the rest of eternity to share our love and create a family. Can you not wait?” tears rolled down her face as her lips took his. She took the handkerchief that he gave her. “Haji I understand I can wait but answer me this how long?” he smiled wiping a charcoal lock away from her face. “not long, when the twins reach high school they should be able to help out how about then?” she held him tighter as he carried her to their bed room. “That sounds good but what if I am already asleep by then?” he laid her across the bed. “Well then I guess Julia will have some late nights in the lab.” She unbuttoned his shirt in the front running her hands over his thin muscular abdomen, smiling. “I guess so.” She reached for his pants but stopped as he kicked his shoes off saying “You know something? Chapter 20: before the bride can meet the groom

Before Haji knew it Mao and Kaori were busy helping Saya plan the wedding. Though most men would have been told to stay out of it by all especially the bride or at least ignored when decision making was in the works, Haji was different, though Mao and Kaori wanted him out, Saya would not give up on asking him about every little choice until he had given a confirmed and supported yes or no. this did not annoy him though it did become slightly bothersome being pushed out of the room by Mao and Kaori only to be pulled back by Saya. he had always been rather uneasy receiving gifts so the shower was aquwerd. But if that was not enough to make him scream when he found out that he couldn’t see her a whole day before the wedding he was utterly horrified how cruel it was to separate love. So as his payback no one in a thirty mile radius would be able to sleep until he saw his beloved Saya. Finally the day was upon them when there bond would become legal though there bond was stronger than anything could change besides the one thing that they at this time could not have.
