Scorpinac: Yes, they would have escaped, and I'm not planning on a return performance from those two. Is the level of smut ok, or do I need more and what do you suggest if I do need more smut?

'The Karthing boy has no true powers. His brilliant mind is the only true weapon he's got. He's the best to pick off first.' Var pondered watching Josh make his way to school.

'I love her...that's all there is to it. I love her. We may be a little too eager to jump into bed, but I do love her. I just wish these dark mages would stop harassing us.' Josh thought as he walked to school. The hairs on the back of his neck stand on end and a moment later a ball of magical energy heads his way. He manages to avoid and quickly ducks into an alley.
'Not the way I wanted to start my morning!' he frantically thought.

"You guys seen Josh?" Madison asked Lee and Sakura.
"Not yet," Sakura answered. "I'd say go ask Wulf and Meilin, but they've probably been in a closet ever since they got here."
"He's been feeling a little down because of the magical based foes we've had to fight." Madison explained.
"That's understandable. We've fought more mages than mad scientists or secretive security agencies." Lee responded and the trio see Josh looking haggard come over to them.
"Josh," Madison said coming over to the worn out genius.
"What happened?" Sakura asked.
"Var decided to say 'hello' to me this morning." Josh explained.
"Interesting," Eli began and everyone jumped except for Lee who gave Eli a death glare. "He goes after Josh. I thought he'd come after me or the two of you." he continued. Before anymore could be said on the matter, the bell rings and the group head for their homeroom.

'Why isn't he here? He came by this way in the morning but he isn't here. Where is that boy?' Var wondered. 'He takes this path back and forth to that place they call 'school', but he's changed his pattern. This one is smarter than I thought.'

'I know that using an intredimensional jump to get from home to school and back is lazy, but when you have a mage hunting you down like I do a jump becomes necessary. With dad working on another generation of reactors so he won't notice my use of a jump twice a day.' Josh mused getting out of his school uniform. 'Let's see if he'll be able to figure out why he can't jump me on the way to school.'

'I should have done this sooner.' Var thought under an illusion spell as he watches students enter the school. 'Now where...' he sees Josh appear out of no where and head inside . His last sight of the genius was of him greeting Madison before the door shut blocking Var's vision. 'He just appeared out of thin air. He has no magical powers so what is he doing to make it appear that he can teleport?' he continued to wonder.

"Well, so far my plan has worked, but how long that'll last is up to Var." Josh said to Madison as they walked down the halls of their school. The two stop at Madison's locker and Josh stands and admired Madison for a moment while she gathered her books for her morning classes. She could see out of the corner of her eye that her boyfriend was admiring her. She had been told by other girls in their school that dating a guy like Josh wasn't the 'in thing' to do. You didn't get popular by dating geeks like Josh. The boy was sociably awkward at best and had the tendency to ramble on when he was explaining anything scientific. Of course, the only reason why Josh wasn't bullied was because of his friendship with Lee and Wulf. Lee was the popular soccer player while Wulf was the one most of the girls drooled over when he'd walked with Meilin attached to him.
'So what if he's a geek. Most guys would just want to date me for my money. Even if we just like fucking, I'd not want to fuck anyone else.' she thought and then thought on the way that thought came out. 'We fuck, but I feel complete when we are doing that. I like wrapping myself protectively around him. I wouldn't want to see another girl looking at him. I guess me and Meilin are a couple of possessive girls.' she mused, but she knew that Meilin would say 'possessive bitches' instead.

"The boy can teleport like any powerful mage. The others who have tried would become frustrated at this and attack one of the more powerful members of this collection of heroes, but I've watched and seen them fail and I will not accept failure. I must be more patient and wait for another time to strike. The boy isn't perfect. He'll make a mistake and when that happens I'll take advantage of it. He seems to hang around that other girl who seems to have no powers what so ever. She just seems to be a close friend of the female master of the cards and others have gone after this 'Madison Taylor' only to be beaten back. I won't be so foolish. Angering the female master is not advisable. I will be patient in my dismantling of this group. I won't do what those other fools did. Fey thought he could just overpower them and that didn't work. Trenton was young and foolish. He believed that he needed to hurt Sakura by hurting Lee. That didn't work and he's rotting in the bowels of hell. Their foolish acts taut me what not to do against this group. I'll take out Karthing, then the rest will fall like a house of cards." Var mused aloud to himself.
