Sakuragi Hanamichi.
The famous Basketball man who had brought Shohoku up to the pedestal for three consecutive years... is now in the walls of Fuji University... the 6th time defending champion in the Japan's NCAA.
The second semester had begun... and only then did the legendary redhead of the Kanagawa region came to existence in the campus. He was invited by the School president and the team's coach even while before he graduated... but he chose to stay in Kanagawa University.
It's all because of one girl... Akagi Haruko.
Hanamichi stopped and gazed upon the white towering building of the Fuji University. Haruko already has a boyfriend... her first relationship.
"It wouldn't hurt if we just become friends." Haruko's words reeled on his mind. Her sweet angelic voice never failed to amaze Hanamichi. For more than three years it had been the genius sportsman's inspiration... and motivation to excel in Basketball.
Hail! The long wait of hoping and praying to win Haruko's heart had ended. Hanamichi is now a new man... a new person... a new individual with new goals to meet.
He'll forget about Haruko.
Everything he had invested and lose are just a part of his past... never would it interfere with his prt ant and the future to come.
