It was late afternoon and as usual, the team was practicing. Akagi divided the teams randomly into 2, and to Sakuragi\'s dismay, he had to be with his archrival... Rukawa. He had taken his love away from Sakuragi, the one and only girl he loved and the reason he played basketball... Haruko. He tried his very best to impress her yet her he met her eyes gaze upon his rival. He was defeated yet again and again still, he did not give up. He was ready to do ANYTHING to win her heart.

[Sakuragi] * That stupid Rukawa! Kitsune no baka!! Omae wa kurosu!! When will he ever stop boasting? He makes girls run after him... He makes MY Haruko run after him! Then he just snobs her?! What\'s his problem?! Grrrrrrr!! *

He glared at him but Rukawa looked away expressing some mockery in his eyes.

[Rukawa] * Do\'aho... what the hell is his problem? *

Sakuragi glared back. He looked at Haruko who\'s eyes were fixed at Rukawa. Then an idea hit him. He walked towards Rukawa.

[Sakuragi] * Maybe if I stayed near Rukawa, she would notice me too... hehe... perfect! I really am a tensai!! Hahaha!! But they might think that I....oh never mind... surely they won\'t think I\'ve got a thing for him... *

He glinted triumph in his eyes, as if it had already worked. He slowly moved closer and closer to Rukawa. Their bodies so close it almost touched.

[Rukawa] * What the hell is this imbecile thinking?? Does he... is he....?? Stupid... *

Haruko noticed Sakuragi\'s bizarre movements. She walked closer to Ayako and asked
[Haruko] Na, Ayako-chan... Has Sakuragi been like that lately?
[Ayako] Sakuragi? Of course he... ... he\'s always such a weirdo.
[Haruko] I mean now... he\'s staying really close to Rukawa-kun... Is he...??
[Ayako] Don\'t mind it... hehe... he\'s just trying to get your attention, again.

Ayako smirked and gave a smile at Haruko. Haruko blushed with the words that Ayako last said.
[Haruko] * He wryinrying to get my attention?? Sakuragi-kun.... *

She felt good that someone did like her, yet she felt bad she never really minded him. But they were only friends and that\'s the way it should be... just friends. Her heart was for only one boy, and that would be Rukawa. Though he didn\'t mind her, she\'ll always be there... waiting.
[Haruko] * I need to talk to him... I\'ll do it later. *

Sakuragi was still really close to Rukawa. Both of them could hardly move, they could\'t play. If someone tried to pass the ball to Rukawa, Sakuragi thought it was his and would get the ball. But
the opponent would steal the ball from him. If Rukawa had the ball, and tried to make a shot, Sakuragi\'s body would block him. He would lose balance when he shoots making his balls bounce of the ring.

Akagi noticed this but didn\'t give it much importance. Even though their performances were bad, he had figured that Sakuragi must have been doing somthing foolish again.
[Kogure] Akagi... Sakuragi and Rukawa are...
[Akagi] Leave them... it\'s not worth wasting our time with them. It\'s their problem, they fix it.

Kogure understood what Akagi meant. The whole team also noticed the two freshmen acting quite bizarre. They also understood that if Akagi didn\'t give a damn about it, they shouldn\'t either.
[Mistui] What the hell are they thinking?
[Miyagi] How the hell should i know?!
[Mistui] Maybe their....
[Miyagi] Sakuragi and Rukawa??!! Are you insane?!
[Mitsui] It was just a joke... geesh...

So the game went on, and the two were still immensly close. The two didn\'t seperate until the end. Haruko was staring at Rukawa all the time which made her also look at Sakuragi. Sakuragi would give little smiles at her. She in response would would smile back.
[Sakuragi] * Hahaha!! Tensai\'s wonderful plan had worked!! Now she would finally notice me!! *

Rukawa didn\'t talk to him. He just gave glares that were as good as words. Sakuragi, feeling superior, just smirked back. The game ended earlier than expected... the other team had won effortlessly with the two unable to move properly. Only then did Sakuragi seperate from Rukawa, his plan had worked! The gave a big grin when he saw Haruko moving close to him.
[Sakuragi] * This is it!! This is it!!! *

As Haruko moved forward, his heart pumped so hard it hurt. Yet he just stood there, waiting for his princessdrawdraw nearer... and nearer... and in front of him.
[Haruko] Sakuragi-kun...

Haruko blushed a shade of light crimson, so did Sakuragi. Her voice sounded like choirs of angels singing in his head. Then...
[Haruko] We\'re just... friends... right, Sakuragi-kun?

It was as if the choir had turned into dead moaning zombies from hell.
[Sakuragi] * Just friends?! After all I did, just friends???!!!! *

It felt like a hammer was bashing his head.
[Sakuragi] Sure, were just friends... ne, Haruko-chan?
[Sakuragi] Fuck!!!! What did i just say?!! Friends??!!! Shit!!!

Haruko gave an angelic smile.
[Haruko] Well, i have to go, oniichan is waiting for me. Ja ne, Sakuragi-kun...

She ran outside to meet her brother.

Her smile... weren\'t smiles supposed to make you feel better? Her smile made him hurt and ache so much inside. Why? Why did they have to be just friends? He looked at Rukawa, he saw what had happened... he smirked at him and mouthed \"do\'aho\". Sakuragi didn\'t say nor do anything. He just looked away and slowly exited the gym. He wanted t hom home, he wanted to be alone... he wanted to share the pain... with no one but himself.
[Sakuragi] Tseh... Why did I have to fall for someone who doesn\'t even give a damn about what I feel?! Rukawa is right... I am do\'aho..
Shit! Did I just... say that... Rukawa is right???!!! Fuck!

Then a cold, quiet yet soft voice responded from his back.
[Rukawa] Yeah, you did.

Sakuragi turned around... It was Rukawa.
[Sakuragi] Kitsune!!! Teme!!! Leave me alone will you?! Your the person I least wanna see right now!!
[Rukawa] I won\'t.

Sakuragi coudn\'t believe what he was seeing and hearing. There was Rukawa, he followed him going home and then he says he won\'t leave him alone?? He gets busted by his 51st girl for the hundredth or so... then this?!
[Sakuragi] Then I\'ll make you leave me alone!

Sakuragi ran as fast as his feet could take him. He didn\'t dare look back. He just ran, ran... that was all he couldnk ank about... that was all he could do. He finally reached his house, he opened the door and closed it. Just as he was about to fully close it a hand pushed it open. Rukawa had ran after him and now he was trying to invade his house. With all his might Sakuragi tried to close the door, but the other boy\'s force was too strong.
[Sakuragi] Stop it!!! I\'ll call the cops!!
[Rukawa] Fine, coward...
[Sakuragi] Coward? Maybe I am... for now...

Sakuragi let go of the door and ran upstairs to his room. He locked the door and rest his back on it for support, then slid down slowly finally sitting on the floor. He heard the door downstairs close, then footsteps on the stairs. The footsteps came to a halt in front of the door.
[Sakuragi] * Shit! What does he want from me?! Why won\'t he just leave me alone? *

Sakuragi made a fist then punched the floor.
[Sakuragi] Damn you kitsune!! Just leave me alone!!
[Rukawa] I won\'t... like what you did to me a while ago.
[Sakuragi] Listen, that wasn\'t for you idiot! It was for Haruko!
[Rukawa] I know baka... she busted you didn\'t she?
[Sakuragi] Why do you care? You have nothing to do with me anyway!
[Rukawa] Oh I care... a lot... why don\'t you just open the damn door.

[Sakuragi] * Is he trying to play with me?! He\'s trying to take advantage of my situation right now... tseh, I\'m tensai and I\'m not falling for that... *

[Sakuragi] I\'m not open the damn door and I\'m not falling for your stupid tricks!
[Rukawa] What tricks? This is not a trick...
[Sakuragi] Fuck! Just leave you bastard!
[Rukawa] I\'m not leaving. I\'m just staying right here and fix this.

[Sakuragi] * Fix what?! What is that bastard thinking?!*

[Sakuragi] Fix what?! Just tell me what you need and just leave!
[Rukawa] Leave? Sorry but I can\'t...
[Sakuragi] Just leave damn it!
[Rukawa] Show yourself coward... no wonder Haruko doesn\'t like you...
[Sakuragi] What\'s your problem? Just leave... She never will anyway...
[Rukawa] You\'re my problem...

Sakuragi haoughough. He wasn\'t a coward and he had enough of Rukawa\'s games. He slowly got up and hesitantly turned the doorknob. He closed his eyes while slowly opening the door. The door swung open then he slowly opened his eyes and looked up...

Rukawa was there sitting. His back was against the wall, his knees were bent and were spread open. Each arm was on top of one elbow. Then without looking up, he stood and faced Sakuragi.
[Rukawa] So, the coward went out of it\'s dark cage...
[Sakuragi] Teme... what do you want?
[Rukawa] Nothing really... just you.
[Sakuragi] What do you mean-

His voice was cut. In one swift move, Rukawa put his arms over Sakuragi\'s neck and kissed him passionately.Rukawa\'s tongue met Sakuragi\'s lips and forced it open. Their tongues met and Rukawa entangled his with Sakuragi. Sakuragi just stood there, giving into Rukawa\'s commands.
[Sakuragi] What the hell am I doing?! I\'m kissing kistune... Fuck!!

Sakuragi pushed Rukawa away. Rukawa flinched with pain as he hit his back on the wall. Sakuragi slowly moved backwards, then he stumbled. Yet he still continued to move backwards. He finally hit his bed and stopped. He hung his head low and griped the carpet with his hand.
[Sakuragi] Stop it... please just stop it.eaveeave me alone...

Rukawa recovered from his hit. He walked slowly towards the place Sakuragi was sitting. He squatted in front of Sakuragi and reached out his hand. He caressed his cheeks passionately.
[Rukawa] Sakuragi... I\'m here to help you...

Sakuragi looked up, his face was red with rage.
[Sakuragi] Help me?! Baka no kistune is going to help me?! Tseh, plain rubbish! Just leave me alone!

He slapped Rukawa\'s hand away.
[Rukawa] Listen, I know how you feel and I know what you were trying to do...
[Sakuragi] Well, I don\'t need your help... and more especially, I don\'t need it from you!

His face was redder now and so was the expression of rage in his face.
[Rukawa] Fine. Be that way, stay there and rot.

His voice changed from concerned to serious. Rukawa got up and walked towards the door. He was leaving... he was going away...
Rukawa\'s voice was echoing in his head... \" I\'m here to help you... I know how you feel... what you were trying to do... be that way...\"
[Sakuragi] * He is serious... he means it... I won\'t let you go that easily after getting my first real kiss! *

Sakuragi swiftly got up and ran tds Rds Rukawa, he was almost near the door oh his room. He grabbed Rukawa\'s wrist. Rukawa turned and Sakuragi hugged him tightly as if it were the last hug we would give somebody. The force was so strong that Rukawa fell backwards brining Sakuragi along with him. Rukawa once again flinched with pain, then gave a small smile... a very scarce small smile.

[Rukawa] Is that all I get? A hug?

Sakuragi smiled back and leaned forward.
[Sakuragi] Oh shut up...

Sakuragi kissed him passionately the way Rukawa did... except theat they both wanted it this time...
