A/N: Right well, first of all I own none of the characters in this fic, blah blah blah, you know what I\'m on about. As it says in the description, this parralels the manga, and contains quite a few direct quotes from the english translation of it. I\'ve never seen the anime, so it might be a little different if you\'re used to it. I wrote this becuase of my dissapointment in the lack of any kind of love story between Haru and Elie (that I could pick up, I may just be stupid and not seeing them, or maybe they just are put off until later in the series :P) I do have more written, but it needs some revising. Wether or not I post any more depends on what kind of response i get from you, the readers (so please review). This is also my first attempt at writing... well pretty much anything that wasn\'t for a grade (I hated english in school), so go easy on me. Sry about the lack of a title (I SUCK at titles) if you have an idea for one, let me know. :P Enjoy

A dark figure with blond hair stood over Haru and the others. \"The mother of the DB, Sinclaire... how do you have it!?\" Haru demanded. \"I told you\" the figure replied, \"I am the one who controls all DB, the Dark Bring Master! And you are the Rave Master, yes?\" Everyone was taken back. \"It seems we\'ve been recognized.\" exclaimed Let. \"What\'s it to you?\" Haru said as he glared at the Blond Demon. He drew his sword, Eisenmeteor, and charged at him. Haru swung and missed. The Blond Demon just kept walking passed Haru and grabbed Elie by the chin and kissed her deeply. Everyone was shocked, most of all Elie. She knocked him away. \"How horrible... that was... my first...\" Elie was on the ground crying. \"Kiss?\" the Blond Demon finished for her. He kept talking, but Haru didn\'t hear a word of it. \"HOW DARE YOU!!\" Haru shouted at the top of his lungs. He lunged at the Demon again with Musica and Let right behind him. But the Blond Demon needed only thrust his sword into the ground, causing a tremendous explosion knocking them away. Haru\'s ears were ringing, so he wasn\'t quite sure what the demon was saying as he walked away. \"GET BACK HERE YOU BASTARD!\" Haru yelled as he prepared to lunge again, only to be stopped by Musica. \"I hate to say it, but he\'s out of our league, besides, Elie needs you now.\"

Elie needs me... the words rang through Haru\'s mind. The opposite was just as true. \'If it hadn\'t been for Elie, I would have lost my will to go on long ago.\' Haru thought to himself. That incident with the Blond Demon wasn\'t the first time Haru had realized it. Their encounter with Seig Hart had a similar result. They had saved each other in that encounter, Haru having saved Elie from Etherion, and Elie having saved Haru from the elementalists altearith spell. Haru had felt so cold, so lonely inside that void. Then Elie came. He had said it himself while in the void, \"I feel so relaxed when you\'re with me.\" It had given him the strength to free himself from the void. Just before that had happened, he had admitted that he loved Elie. Unfortunately the words had lost their meaning in the heat of the battle. Even when he had said that he would do anything for her when she was on the verge of death, she just ended up down playing it later. Haru couldn\'t help but laugh. What started as a pledge to do anything ended up being shrunk down to a piggy back ride. It really didn\'t matter in the end. The girl he was infatuated with was still alive. That was enough for him.

Later, Haru was laying down in his room on the groups airship. They had just left Symphonia and were still undecided on where to head to next. Haru had been thinking about Elie more and more, especially now after the groups encounter with the Blond Demon. He wanted so badly to comfort Elie while she was so hurt emotionally. The truth was, he was just as upset that some one else had moved in and kissed Elie, as he was with the eomotional pain it caused her. They weren\'t going out or anything, and if anyone asked he would deny it, but he really did have feelings for her. If the Oracion Six hadn\'t moved in, maybe something would have happened between them then. Well, no sense thinking about what could have been. Still though...

Elie was looking at her self in the mirror. A lot had happened lately, and despite all of it, she had managed to stay her usual self. At least, on the outside. Between almost being killed by Sieg, and the uninvited kiss for the Blond Demon earlier that day, she was completely tattered emotionally. Haru\'s advances would be welcome, but she was too nervous and unsure of herself to accept them, thats why she always treated things like they had gone back to normal. Her image in the mirror started to blur. Everything was just so confusing. The kiss earlier had hurt, but the words the Demon said to her after words... \"You\'re not living, just existing.\" She let her good hand cover her face, her other still being broken from the days events, and threw herself on her bed and started crying.

Haru was almost asleep in his room when he heard something down the hall. He was a little upset at first that his sleep had been disturbed. As he started coming to he recognized what he was hearing. He got up, put some clothes on and went down the hall to Elie\'s room. He knocked on her door. \"Go away!\" she shouted through the door. \"Elie...\" Haru said quietly. Once Elie heard his voice she stopped and sat up on the bed. \"Haru...\" Haru slowly opened the door to her room and walked in. He wasn\'t very used to seeing her like this. Sadness was something that she rarely showed. Their eyes were locked on each others. Haru walked to her bed and sat down next to her. Slowly he reached his arm around her back, trying to comfort her. He didn\'t get far before Elie threw herself into his arms and continued crying. He could feel the roughness of her cast. All Haru could do was wrap his arms around her and comfort her. It was what he wanted to do earlier after the the kiss incident. And to tell the truth, it was what Elie really needed. \"I\'m sorry Elie\" Haru said. Elie looked up at him surprised. \"What?\" Elie replied, tears still dripping down her cheeks. \"Sorry that... I couldn\'t keep that bastard away from you.\" He said as he threw himself into her shoulder and started crying himself. \"That kiss was meant to be given to the man you felt close to, not taken by force. I... I couldn\'t protect you.\"

Elie lifted Haru\'s head from her shoulder and looked him in the eyes. \"I\'m sorry Eli-\" Elie cut him off by pressing her lips to his. Haru\'s eyes shot wide open by the act. \'Whats going on.\' Haru thought to himself \'She can\'t feel this way about me, can she?\' He closed his eyes and let himself get lost in the moment. Elie broke the kiss. \"You were right Haru, that kiss should have gone to the one I loved. I\'m sorry I didn\'t do it sooner...\" Haru was more surprised still by that comment. \"You mean.. you.. me...\" Elie gave him a sly grin. \"Yeah...\" Elie blushed. \'Wow... it feels really good to finally say that.\' She thought to herself as she threw herself back in his arms. \"Haru...\" \"Yeah Elie\" Haru replied. \"Do you think you could stay in here with me tonight?\" \"WHAT!?!? You mean sleep with you!?!?\" Elie shot him a nasty look. \"Keep your pants on you pervert, i just need some company. Don\'t think we\'re doing anything tonight.\" Haru blushed. \"Yeah.. of course not...\" Elie\'s anger was gone just as quickly as it had come. \"Thanks Haru.\" Haru was getting nervous now. Elie got into her bed and pulled the blankets over herself. She was looking at Haru expectingly. \"Well, what are you waiting for?\" Haru just looked at her and said \"But uhh... I thought you said we weren\'t going to do anything...\" She just sighed. \"Get in, Haru. We\'re not.\" Haru slowly got in with her. She wrapped her good arm around him, and instantly all his nervousness melted away. He caressed her cheek with his hand. She smiled. They kissed again, a little deeper this time, then fell asleep in each others arms.

Haru woke up the next morning with a pain in his chest.He moved his hand down to feel what it was. His hand hit something hard... Elie\'s cast. \'She must have been leaning up against me most of the night.\' Haru thought. Despite the soreness, last night was easily the most peaceful nights sleep he\'d had since leaving Garage Island. He just felt so.. at ease with her.. so relaxed. Elie started stirring, moving the cast away from his chest. He let out a sigh of relief. It felt good to have that thing out of the way. He turned towards Elie and rested his hand on her stomach. Haru could do nothing but stare at Elie. What else could he say, she was the most beautiful thing he ever laid his eyes on. Elie\'s eyes opened. \"Haru...\" she said after a few minutes \"did you really mean it?\" Haru started blushing, but remained silent. \"What you said when I was on the verge of death when we ran into Sieg?\" \"Uhh.. well... that is.\" Haru stopped for a moment trying to think up some excuse. \"You were dying an-\" Elie cut him off by putting a finger up to his lips. \"Yes or no.\" Elie said sternly, demanding that he pick one way or the other. She removed her finger. \"Yeah..\" Haru said quietly. \"Every word of it.\"

Haru thought back tho the encounter. Elie was beaten up really badly. She had been struck by lightning several times, and poisoned. It took all Haru\'s faith and courage to say what he had as he whispered in her near lifeless body. \"Elie... please.. don\'t die on me. I need you, and I\'ll do everything i can to protect you. I promise.\" He had paused for a moment, not sure whether to say the next words or not. \"I... love you Elie.\" There, it had been said. With that off his chest he turned to confront Sieg. All Elie was able to think about at the time was wanting to die. But when those words reached her, all she could think about was how much she wanted to live. To be with Haru... It had taken her until the kiss incident with the DB Master for her to realize it, realize that she truly loved him.

And here they were lying next to each other. Elie\'s tears welled up again. \"Whats wrong Elie?\" Haru asked somewhat urgently. Elie replied, wiping away the tears. \"I love you Haru, and... I... always want to be with you too.\" The tears stopped and she embraced Haru. There they lay for a long time, reminiscing about their past.

\"Hey Haru, you still remember the first time we met right.\" Elie cooed. \"Of course.\" Haru replied. He paused for a moment and continued. \"You were wearing white panties\" he said with a grin. Elie giggled. \"So you WERE looking.\" \"Well, it was kind of hard not to\" Haru said as his cheeks turned a slight shade of red. \"Yeah, i guess so...\" Elie replied. \"I\'m glad that you did.\" Now there\'s something I never thought I\'d hear a girl say.\" Haru said with an ear to ear grin. Elie smiled back. \"Yeah, well thats something I never thought I\'d say.\" \'Why did I say that?\' Elie thought to herself. \'I guess they weren\'t joking when they said that love makes you say and do stupid things. Heh, I guess thats why I put Haru in that position under the table at the dog races... maybe it was love at first sight.\' Elie sighed and pulled herself closer to Haru, both of them completely content to remain this way forever.

After of sometime holding each other and talking and laughing about some of their other adventures together, Elie released herself from his embrace and sat up. She looked at Haru as though she were embarrassed, then with out warning took her shirt off. She still had a white bra on, but Haru couldn\'t help but stare. Elie giggled. \"That was just the reaction I was expecting.\" Elie didn\'t have the biggest breasts, but they were gorgeous. Elie reached forward and lifted Haru up so he was sitting facing him. They had both slept with all they\'re clothes on, so they were still wearing what they had changed into after yesterdays fight, which was the usual for each of them, Haru wearing a pair of shorts and a button down shirt, and Ellie wearing a spaghetti strap shirt and a short skirt. Well, she was wearing a spaghetti strap anyway. She tried unbuttoning Haru\'s shirt, but didn\'t get far with her broken arm. After some help from Haru, and some laughter, the shirt was on the floor with Elie\'s. Elie embraced Haru once again. Haru returned the embrace, slowly though. This was all happening so fast, and having a girl with out her shirt on hugging him was definitely a new experience. After a minute, Haru reached back and snapped the strap on her bra. \"Hey, what was all that about!?\" Elie shouted. Haru just smiled weakly in return. Elie kissed him again. \"I owe you one.\" She replied, barely breaking the kiss enough to say it. \'God why did I do that? Sis was right, love does make you do stupid things.\' Haru thought to himself

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. \"Elie.\" It was Musica. Haru was a little frightened, he didn\'t like the idea of being caught in this position with Elie (even though he enjoyed being in the position.) \"Wake up, we need to decide what to do next.\" \"Ok, I\'ll be there in a minute.\" Elie replied. \"And if you see Haru tell him to come too, he wasn\'t in his room and I can\'t find him anywhere.\" Musica new better than to open the door, he respected women more than that. He also hated being slapped across the face. He walked off to go gather the others. Ironically, Haru was right there, now pinned to the bed underneath Elie, who was once again kissing him.

\"Whew, that was close\" Haru said after she had let him get up. \"Don\'t worry,\" Elie replied \"no one will come in, and if they did I could always shove you in the closet so they wouldn\'t know you were here.\" Haru pouted. \"Hey, thats not funny.\" Elie laughed as she put her shirt back on. \"It is from this position, and don\'t forget, I owe you one.\" Haru\'s head sank. \"Yeah... I guess so.\" Elie came around behind him, put his shirt on and tried buttoning it from behind. Haru stopped her and turned to face her. He kissed her again. \"I could get used to this. \" he said. \"Well, get used to it later.\" She said breaking away from him. \"We have work to do for now.\" Haru pouted again. \"I told you I\'d get you back.\" she said \"But I\'m nowhere near done yet.\" She looked out the door. \"No ones here, nows your chance to go.\" They didn\'t have to say it, but they both knew that they wanted to keep their relationship between themselves, at least for now...
