Untold Nights
Introduction:
Years ago two adventurers named Lina Inverse and Naga the White Serpent went after a Sorcerer named Lagin, who stole documents leading to an ancient treasure. Lagin wanted the Shadow Reflector, a magic mirror that could create a perfect copy of whomever\'s image it reflected, a copy loyal to the mirror\'s holder. Lagin succeeded in finding the mirror and used it on Lina and Naga, but the effects were... unexpected.
The Shadow Reflector created copies of Lina and Naga, but remarkably with the exact opposite temperaments. Where the original Lina was a cynical mercenary, the mirror Lina was a sweet, caring humanitarian who was, as well, too passive to fight! Naga, a bold and flamboyant woman was reflected into a modest, shy young woman who was frightened of being alone.
Battling Lagin Lina and Naga destroyed the Shadow Reflector, hoping that it would also destroy the copies, but sadly that didn\'t work. Mirror Lina and Naga left together, apparently to go to a \'Save the dragons\' concert, and Lina earnestly hoped she had seen the last of them.
No such luck.
Some years later Lina stumbled upon the copies again, and surprisingly her copy proved shrewd enough to convince the sorceress to take Naga along with her. The other woman had changed more than the soft-hearted Lina copy had, mostly abandoning magic to become a dangerously capable swordswoman. Adventuring together the original Lina discovered that this Naga complimented her own skills, as well as developing a growing friendship between them.
Friendship, and possibly something more.....
