will be Haru/Kyo
Kyo looked out the window at the rainy day and closed his eyes. The grey angry clouds hurt him more then people knew. And the rain stung him harder then anyone else. Quietly he thought about his life. Nothing was in it. There were no real reasons to go on living. The only thing he was, was a punching bag. At best. He curled around himself and tried to drown out the sound of the raining.
“You are the ugliest thing in all of this world.” he heard Akito say to him when he was nothing but 5. “Your nothing but a monster.”
That was right before he was thrown away and ignored. He was locked in his own room and not to seen or heard by the rest of the world. He wasn’t alive, to anyone but himself and when he cried out he was beat. No one wanted him, so he was given to someone to train him how to fight.
When he was finally allowed out of his dark prison and the air hit his face. There was no words to describe how wonderful it felt. His heart felt so happy to feel that. It was so soft against his face that had felt nothing but rough cotton for so long. And the sun was so warm when he had gotten used to the coolness of the shadows of the closed off room. Nothing would ever replace that memory in his heart.
And on rainy days’ such at this he drew up that single happy memory and held it close to him to keep the pain away for as along as he could. That one memory had been beaten and batter but it was the only thing he had that brought him a small amount of comfort. It was the only thing he had left. When he felt like he had nothing he remembered at least he had that memory. Something was better then nothing at all. Even if it was so small and no one else cared about it. He did.
This one memory had kept him from falling apart so many times. So many times he hand clutched that memory tightly trying to remember the exact emotion he got when he stepped out into the open air that was so very different from the stifling air in the prison of his.
And his heart dropped when he realized he was going back to the room to die. After he graduated he was going back there and no one was going to stop Akito cause no one cared about the baka neko.
No one cared about the little orange cat that just wanted to be free. It was the sad truth that was to much for even his small happy memory to fight back. When he graduated he was going to be thrown away again. Back into that dark room that he had learned to hate. He closed his eyes and felt the pain flood his heart and made it almost impossible to breath. Letting his head fall down so that his chin touched his chest he tried to think of a way to make it stop.
To make the truth a lie. To make it all ok. But he couldn’t, there was no way to make it a lie. The only way out was to die. His head lifted at that thought. Somehow it sounded nice. It sounded like something he could do. Something he could have and that no one could take from him. It was either die now or die alone in that dark prison that he hated so much. Dying now seemed much better then dying then. He wouldn’t see graduation but that was ok. He wouldn’t ever see that room again either. That dark space where he had lived so long. Were they had kept him like he was some sort of curse.
All he ever wanted was just a hand to reach out to him. Just someone to offer a hand, to care even just a little bit. Something to make it so the pain wasn’t so bad. To be there and he knew, he knew in his heart there was never going to be anyone. He was just a baka neko that got tricked by the crafty nezumi. It’s all he was and ever will be. Just a lonely, beat up baka neko.
Closing his eyes he felt two hot tears sting his face as they rolled down it to hit his knees. Tomorrow would come for everyone else. From the overly zealous Inu to the crafty Nezumi but not the neko. This one time the neko wasn’t going to land on his feet.
