This is not really an original story. It’s a rewriting of the second book in the manga series, just a little more ecchi. And a little more funny, I hope. I have made some minor changes in the plot and I have added some more dialogue. (And removed some of the original dialogue.) Disclaimer: The original story is written by Ken Akamatsu.

Chapter 7 The Worst Class

After his first class Negi meets Yuuna and Sakurako in the hallway. “All the other classes seem to be working hard,” he says.

“Yes, that’s right,” says Yuuna. “It’s almost time for the end of term exam for us middle schoolers. It’s this coming Monday.”

“But 2A also have to take the exam, don’t they? And you are just slacking off?”

“It doesn’t matter,” says Sakurako. “2A is always the worst class, but somehow it always turns out ok.”

“Hm, I don’t think it’s ok,” Negi thinks. “There must be something I can do about it, maybe some magic…?”

Ms Shizuna is walking down the hall and she wants to talk to Negi. “The principal asked me to give you this,” she says and hands over a letter. It says: “Dear Negi-kun. If class 2-A is no longer the worst class after the end of terms exam I will recognize you as an official teacher. Principal Konoe, Mahora Academy.”

“What’s this Negi-kun,” Yuuna says behind him.

“Will Negi-kun become an official teacher?” says Sakurako.

“It was not meant for you to see this,” says Negi. “So please don’t tell anyone, ok?

“We promise,” the girls say.

“Listen up everybody,” Negi says when the next class is starting. “It’s almost time for the end of terms exam. Actually, something really bad will happen if we are worst again…so everyone, let’s give it our best and study as hard as we can.”

“Negi-sensei, that’s a wonderful suggestion,” says Ayaka.

“I’ve got an idea,” says Sakurako. “Let’s do an English phrase study yakyuken.”

“Yeah, yeah, yakyuken,” many of the girls are shouting.

“Hm, a study method involving baseball…sounds interesting,” Negi thinks. “Ok, I’ll leave it up to the students from here.”

“That’s a good idea,” he says loud. “You can start now and I’ll come back later to check on you. I have something I must do at the teachers lounge.” He walks towards the door.

“Hey, wait a minute,” shouts Asuna. “Do you really know what yakyuken is Negi-sensei?”
But he doesn’t hear her through all the noise and he closes the door behind him. He wants to find the class progress records to see how bad the situation really is. And he gets even more depressed when he sees it. Three people are at the top of the school, four more are doing good and everyone else is pretty bad, especially the five he had in the after class session the other day. “No, I have to get back to my students,” he thinks. “I have to work just as hard as them if we are going to make this.” He runs back to the classroom and he doesn’t notice what is going on before he almost bumps into a buck naked Asuna. He jumps back in surprise and when he looks around he can see that Makie is also naked, Kaede and Ku Fei only have panties on and Yue are wearing panties and a small top. Some of the other girls have also removed a piece or two of their clothes.

“You lose again Asuna,” a voice from the back shouts. “You’ll have to take off something.”

“Can’t you see I don’t have anything left to take off,” Asuna shouts and jumps up on a desk. “Look at me; I’m naked as the day I was born. What do you want me to take off? My boobs?”

“You don’t have any boobs,” says Ayaka.

“Oh yeah? You think you are so clever sitting there with all your clothes on. Next time we will do yakyuken in running and you will have to run naked all around the campus.”

“Ha, I’m far from the worst in running. And I’m not afraid to show my perfectly shaped body and my beautiful boobs, if that’s what you think.” She opens her jacket and blouse and holds underneath her breasts with her hands and pushes them forward.

“Breast size competition!” many girls shout and it’s getting really noisy in the classroom.

“Oh no, not again,” thinks Negi. “Silent everybody,” he shouts as loud as he can. “What is going on in here? Why are you stripping like this?”

“But you said we could do yakyuken,” says Sakurako.

“Negi-sensei doesn’t know what yakyuken is,” says Asuna. “That was what I was trying to say before he left.”

“You are right Asuna, and I’m sorry. I thought it had something to do with baseball.”

“That is yakyu,” says Yue. “Yakyuken is a questioning where you have to remove a piece of clothing if you don’t know the answer.”

“So that’s it. No wonder those five are naked,” he thinks as Yue is pulling down her panties because she couldn’t answer the last question. Kaede and Ku Fei are also stark naked now. Negi looks at the five nude baka rangers and he feels sorry for them.
“I’ve got another idea,” says Sakurako. “Now when Negi-sensei is here he can question us and if we can’t answer he will remove a piece of clothing from us. I’m sure he will find some really difficult questions.”
“I think we have done enough yakyuken for today,” says Negi loud before the others get the chance to support Sakurako’s suggestion. “We must find a better study method. Will everybody please put your clothes back on!”
“Are you not wearing bra today Iincho?” says Natsumi.
“No, I have stopped wearing bra so I can just open the buttons on my shirt if Negi-sensei wants to see my well-shaped boobs.”

When the class is over he follows the girls outside and when he is standing on the top of the stairway looking down at his students he says to himself: “I remember now, the magic that makes a person super smart for three days. If I use that…the side effect is that everyone goes PA in a month but there’s no helping that now.” He starts pronouncing the spell.

“Stop it!” Asuna is shouting. He didn’t see that she was right behind him. “What kind of idiotic plan is this? What’s wrong with you? Stop relying on your magic all the time. If anyone finds out about your magic you have to go home, right? So stop overdoing it. And…take a look at this.” She gives him a folder with her latest tests.

“Ah, amazing, you really can do it. Even though they still are pretty bad marks, it’s a great improvement.”

“I have been trying my best…because of you. You said that courage is the real magic and I tried to live by that. But it doesn’t seem like you are. Well, se ya.” She quickly walks away.

“It is exactly as Asuna says,” Negi thinks when she is gone. “It is foolish to rely on magic. It will only cause problems both for me and my students.” “Alright,” he says loud. “I will seal my magic until the exam is over so I will not get tempted. And I will work with the students as a proper teacher like Takahata.” He pronounces a spell and three marks appear on his arm for the three days he has sealed his magic.

“Finally I found you Asuna,” Konoka comes running towards her. “I need to talk to you, come, quickly”

“What is it? What’s the hurry?” says Asuna.

“It’s no time for questions now, I’ll explain later. Come on, let’s run, the others are waiting in the bath.”

They run to the dorm and Konoka throws off her clothes almost before they are inside. “Hurry Asuna,” she says when Asuna hesitates for a second.

“Hey, take it easy, I can undress myself. I have never seen you so stressed before.”

“Ah, sorry Asuna, I’ll go in ahead of you.”

Asuna quickly unbuttons her shirt, loosens her bra, pulls down her panties and tosses it all in the locker. “I really hope this is not just another trick to display me naked in front of Negi-sensei,” she thinks when she is walking inside the bath.

But Negi-sensei is not there; it’s Yue, Kaede, Haruna, Makie, Nodoka, Ku Fei and Konoka.

“Asuna! Finally you are here. And without swimsuit this time,” says Kaede.

“Do you think I’m prudish?” says Asuna. “I joined your silly yakyuken game earlier today even though I knew I was going to end up naked. And Negi-sensei came in and saw me and…”

“Yeah, he saw me too,” says Kaede. “And he saw us all the other day when he was here.”

“Will you stop this?” says Haruna. “Konoka has something important to say and all you care about is arguing about Negi-sensei. Speak out Konoka!”

“Actually, there’s a rumour going around the school that the class that scores the lowest in the next exam will be broken up,” says Konoka.

“But…that’s crazy,” says Haruna. “Our school doesn’t break up classes.”

“I don’t want to be broken up, I want to stay with you,” says Ku Fei and embraces Kaede from behind.

“I think Sakurako and the others were told not to talk about it,” continues Konoka. “I don’t really know the details. But grandpa, I mean the principal, seemed really mad. It’s because our class always comes last. And that’s not all; the really dumb people get held back or maybe they have to do all the grades from primary school again.”

“The really dumb people? But that’s us,” says Makie. “So that’s why you called us Baka Rangers and we’d had to wait for Asuna because she is the dumbest…”

“Yeah, I know I’m dumb, I should still have been in kindergarten. I even look like a kindergarten kid because I have no pubes.”

“Neither have I,” says Makie and stands up so everybody can see her nether regions.

“Me neither and I’m proud of it,” says Ku Fei and shows herself off. “I don’t want to have pubes.”

“I have just very little,” says Yue. “And I don’t think Nodoka has much either. Stand up Nodoka, let us have a look at you.” The shy girl reluctantly rises up, holding her legs tight together. “You see, not much there,” says Yue.

“But Kaede has a lot,” says Ku Fei. “She is really bushy, I can even tousle it.” She puts her hand between Kaede’s thighs from behind and gets a good grip in her pubic hair.

“Will you stop that, you little brat,” says Kaede and pulls Ku Fei’s hand away. “Yes I’m hairy, but that’s just because my body has matured a little earlier than the rest of you. In a year or so you will all look like me.”

“But what about Konoka and Haruna?” says Makie. “We haven’t reviewed them yet.”

The two girls stand beside each other and they both have nice black curly pubes, Haruna a little more than Konoka.

“Enough now,” says Asuna. “We should think more about how we can avoid being the worst class instead of comparing private parts.”

“Maybe we can use our private parts to move up in ranks?” says Ku Fei.
“What the hell are you implying?” says Haruna.
“Nothing. It was just a silly joke. But what can we do Asuna?”

“Uhm, I’m not sure,” says Asuna. She thinks about what Negi said earlier about using magic. “I shouldn’t have been so hard on him,” she thinks. “Maybe I’ll have to go and ask him for help? But the side effect, going PA in one month…sounds nasty.”

“If it comes to this,” says Yue. “Then maybe we’ll have to go and look for that “thing” after all.”

“What is it? Do you have a solution?” says Makie. All the girls huddle together around Yue.

“You guys know about Library Island, right? It’s where our Library Expedition Club goes.”

“Yeah, that giant building in the middle of the lake,” says Asuna. “I’ve heard it’s a pretty dangerous place.”

“The truth is,” continues Yue, “that deep within Library Island, there is apparently a magic book that makes the reader more intelligent.”

“Oh Yue, that’s just an urban legend,” says Haruna.

“There are a lot of weird people in our class, but there can’t really be such a thing as magic, can there?” says Makie.

“You don’t believe this, do you Asuna?” says Konoka.

“Yes I do,” says Asuna.

“Huh, what? You are the last person I would have thought believed in magic,” says Konoka.

“I didn’t, until Negi came here,” she thinks. “He has shown me that magic exists and if he can do it, why shouldn’t there be a magic book, which we can use?”

“I think Yue is right,” she says loud. “And I want to go to Library Island in search of that book. I am the one who is dragging the class most down. Who will come with me?”

“Yeah, I’ll come,” everybody shout and they rise up and put their arms in the air.

“Let’s go to Library Island,” says Asuna.

“To Library Island!” the others shout and they are marching towards the exit.

“But let’s get some clothes on first,” says Yue. “I don’t want the little pubic hair I have to be eaten by bookworms.”

“Let’s take Negi-sensei with us,” says Asuna when they are dressed and walks down the hallway in the dorm.

“Why do you want Negi-sensei?” says Kaede.

“Because…” She almost said it is because they might need his magic to protect them, but she remembers it in the last second that she cannot talk about it. “It’s because he is our teacher and we should help him get acquainted to this place.”

“Hm, I wonder,” says Yue low.

“Negi-sensei, wake up, why are you sleeping at a time like this?” Asuna is shaking the sleeping mage.

“Asuna, uh, what’s happening?” Negi sits up in the bed. “I was so sleepy when I got back that I went straight to bed. It’s more tiring being a teacher than I thought. But what can I do for you?”

“Well, we are going to Library Island and I was about to ask if you want to come with us, but I understand you are tired and…”

“What! To the library?” he thinks. “Oh yeah, they are going to study for the end of terms exam. It’s my duty to be there and help them.”

“I’m coming, just help me up Asuna,” he says. “Oh yes that’s good, I just wanted to hug you first.”

“What’s with him?” Asuna thinks while Negi is holding on to her, hugging her good. “Well, it’s ok as long as he is coming with us.”

“I’ll go beforehand outside,” she says. “Just come when you are ready.”

“I’m ready now,” he says and puts his slippers on.
