Author’s Note: I dunno, I read someone else’s fic from another fandom and I was like…hm..fluffeh…

This happens during “Hot to Go” during Yume


Usopp concentrated on the pieces, trying to see if he would really have to spend money in a junk shop to buy new things. He was hoping he could merely adapt some of the things he had on board now and make sure everything was fixed before something cataclysmic happened.

However, he was concentrating so hard that he didn’t notice the pair of wide eyes staring into his own as he gazed at the trinket in his hands. When he did notice he got a shock.

Frustrated at being annoyed, Luffy stuck out his tongue and wiggled it around, trying to catch the sharpshooter’s attention. Usopp noticed this right away and squawked in surprise. He fell back, pieces going everywhere, the young man back pedaling and pointing.

“Lu-luffy-san! Don’t do that! Damn it!”

Luffy sat there hugging his knees, grin widening. “Hee hee! I scared you!”

The youth recovered and shook his head, sitting up straight. “Nothing scares the great Captain Usopp!”

“Except everything!” the raven haired lad laughed, pointing. “What were you doing? I was calling you!”

Usopp retook his position and regathered his work. “ I was working. What are you doing?”

“I was sitting and watching the ocean, but then I came to see how you were…” Luffy spaced out for a moment. “I wonder when lunch is…”

The other boy shook his head. “You’re always hungry. Move, you’re sitting on a part!” Usopp retrieved it, unprepared as Luffy tackled him, grinning wildly again.

“I came to see how you were Usopp!”

The long nose blinked once and looked into Luffy’s smiling eyes, red coming into his cheeks. “I’m…I’m fine?”

“I’m not. We were watching the sunset the other day and I thought you were going to kiss me! Why not?”

Usopp swallowed. “Um…that is…we were out on deck and uh…well I’m sure Sanji and Zoro and even Nami wouldn’t care to see that sort of thing you know and –”

“I saw Zoro and Sanji kissing. They don’t care, why should you?”

The boy’s eyes nearly left his face. “They were what?!”

Luffy blinked as if there were nothing wrong. “Kissing. Like this!” The boy opened his mouth with an “ah” and wiggled his tongue, trying to get Usopp to kiss him. The youth rolled away and the straw hat settled back, puzzled.

“Usopp-chan?”

The sharpshooter stopped then, laughing nervously. He pat his chest then and smiled at the Captain. “I think we’re moving fast Luffy! We should wait you know!”

He failed to notice the stretching arm coming for him and when he realized it, he was only inches away from Luffy’s face.

“I think we’re going good enough, don’t you?”

Usopp swallowed and nodded.

“I like you Usopp. I want to kiss you.”

“O-okay?”

He tensed at first, when Luffy’s mouth connected with his. He didn’t know what to do and when he saw Luffy’s eyes slide close and give a satisfied hum he relaxed as well, leaning into it. He pulled back first, watching Luffy’s face for clues.

The boy put his hand on top of his cap and giggled, turning red and looking away.

“Kakkoi*…” he whispered.

Usopp blushed as well, grinning. “Yeah…”

Luffy made as if to stand up then, but Usopp took his arm and brought him close again, pressing their mouths together. The black haired boy giggled again and leaned into it, wrapping his arms around Usopp’s neck and causing them both to fall on the deck.

“Ummm!”

“Luffy?”

“Usopp-chan?” the captain whispered, leaning in again.

“Luffy…I’m laying on the tools, we have to move.”

The boy blinked and sat up, taking off his cap and laughing. “I guess so!” He stood then and looked at the kitchen cabin. “I’m going to find Sanji and ask him for lunch. Don’t leave okay?”

“Okay…”

Usopp watched the boy run off and scratched his cheek. “But where would I go?”

He looked out over the day lit sea and traced a thumb over his lips.
