"Enzan-sama. I am done with the inspection of the designated area. Reporting zero sightings of criminal conduct, or any intentions of breaking any laws. To put it quite mundanely, it is a quiet night out."
As Blues.EXE came striding slowly and deliberately down the draining main street of Net City, a couple of kid Net Navis scurried out of the way of the scarlet Net warrior, joining their elders in escaping the streets, into the safety of their Operators' PETs. Certainly, his was a frightening visage for anyone to behold, and also his impressive reputation preceded him wherever he went: Winner of the N1 Grand Prix way back, the Navi of the Nr. 1 prodigy Net Battler Ijuuin Enzan, and the only one to give serious resistance to, and stand his ground with, Rockman.EXE and his Operator Hikari Netto. To most, he was more of a legend than a real, highly present Navi.
"Good job, Blues. This mission might have been a waste of time, but I find it better to be safe than sorry in these times when the streets of the Cyber World and the real world alike are flooded with Dark Chips and different objects soaked with Dark Aura. Did you come upon any Bug Fragments during your inspection?" Blues nodded: "Indeed, Enzan-sama. As you foresaw, my path was literally littered with them. They seem to be present generally throughout the city. It should be investigated further; it might be another cleverly concealed Darkloid plot."
Enzan agreed: "Absolutely. I'm certain Inspector Kifune, and all of the Net Police would agree most heartfelt to that. But…" Enzan said, and Blues cringed almost undetectably as his Operator let out a heavy yawn: "…for some reason that eludes me in spite of much consideration, I'm too tired to go on. The investigation will have to wait until tomorrow as far as I'm concerned. So, you may come back to the PET now." Blues stood now in the middle of the main street, beholding Net City as the scenery changed slowly in color, mimicking the passing from day to night, via evening, as it could be seen in the real world. Something was gnawing in the back of his mind, like a long forgotten dream, a sight, a smell of something long since forsaken. He couldn't shake it entirely no matter how much he maintained his professional composure.
"If you do not mind, Enzan-sama, I would like to stay in Net City for a little while longer. There are some things here I've been meaning to take care of." he said, piecing together a half-truth for his Operator, unlikely though not entirely impossible. Enzan remained silent for a few long seconds: "Well, as you wish. I will plug in the PET to the Network and keep it open for you. I'll set the security clearance cycle to Sigma-820.10, fifth mode. Remember it well." Blues nodded solemnly: "I will, Enzan-sama. I'll be back well before you need me again." he concluded, saying goodbye to his Operator as he cut the connection.
Left alone in Net City, Blues stood still in the middle of the street for a few moments, before wandering off more or less without purpose, apparently deep in thought. Apart from the gnawing feeling in the back of his head, he didn't really know why he had insisted to stay in Net City; there was nothing for him, a coldly logical and zealously dutiful Navi, in this warm and cozy place. Still, he felt inside that he should stay for a while, and Blues was not so cold and logical yet he had ceased paying heed to seemingly random thoughts. Walking for a while, at last he stumbled upon a Cyber Pub, a rather run down old place called "The Hexagon". Starting to feel kind of silly and out of place, Blues entered the locale, having a quick look around. The bar was mostly empty, in the span of time encompassing the passing between day and night. When night came, Blues thought as he sat down at the counter, this place would be filled up more. He had no intention of staying that long, though.
"How may I help you, sir?" Blues turned his head around from his inspection of the room, coming eyes to eyes with a fairly young Navi, smiling at him. He beheld her silently for a couple of seconds, not answering before she repeated herself: "Err...yes, I would like a Cyber Cider, please. And make it cold." he said, and she nodded, walking off to fulfill his request. Looking after her, Blues felt his head filling up with troubling thoughts, as it usually did when he was alone; despite what people might have imagined Blues did not like feeling lonely. He knew the pain of being left alone too well to ever desire true solitude. No, solitude was the last thing he wished for. Alas, it seemed to be the one eternal truth of his life, locked in impossible desires as he was.
"Here you go, sir." the young bar maid chirped at the crimson Navi, who took the beverage after paying a couple of Zenny for it. Beholding the clear, carbonated drink for a couple of seconds he took a careful sip, unaccustomed to ingesting anything. It was a fairly new trend in the cyber world, simulated drinks and food, all new steps on the ladder leading to the mirror mimic of human society. Certain things, though, were sadly far too alien to copy with any success. Blues hung his head, indulging himself in dark thoughts for a few moments, before deciding that all of this was a giant waste of time, and that he ought to leave. But, just as he was about to stand up, he heard a voice beside him: "Oh, wandering one, traveler depraved of rest and comforts, tormented by painful dreams. Do you desire a song?"
Blinking in confusion a couple of times, Blues turned around to see who had spoken, coming face to face with a rather unusual program as he did so. It was a standard program, a few notches of sophistication down from the Net Navi programs, of the type that were usually set to be laborers or executors of menial and/or boring tasks. This program, however, seemed to be neither, its yellow antennae leaning forward to express genuine curiosity as to whether Blues would accept or decline its offer. Blues looked at the program for a couple of moments, showing the glass of Cyber Cider away from him: "I…I was just about to leave; I am in a sort of hurry, and…" he began, freezing at the look he received from the program. This, Blues decided in his mind, was no ordinary program: the look he got from this particular one was piercing, probing, as if the program knew everything about him. The scarlet Navi suddenly felt painfully exposed. "Your thoughts are troubled indeed, but little seems to stem from any sort of hurry. Well, perhaps a hurry to find the Answer."
Blues felt cold, as if he had been caught red-handed doing something horrible. The program gave him a calm and mysteriously understanding smile: "I shall make you a special offer, you who like me more truly than most understand the pain of separation. For a mere five Zenny, I shall sing you a song. I guarantee you will not regret it." Blues sat still for a little while, thoughts racing through his head, before he nodded slowly. Moments after, Blues heard the program start to sing:
01010000 Amour, insecurity crawl in my skin
01000001 my soul is bare, left to bleed
01001001 the Question haunting the digital kin:
01001110 Shall we relinquish our need?
01001111 What am I to you?
01000110 What can a program do?
01001100 Zeroes and ones make up my heart,
01001001 binary love holds all my joy,
01000110 it gruels my math to be so apart,
01000101 my fate is a sad envoy
As the last tones of the program's poem died in the air, all was silent. Verily, for a moment it was as if the machinations of the world had all gone silent, leaving for a show of melancholy. The program looked at Blues. The crimson Navi, in turn, looked back at the program. Shortly after, five Zenny changed owner, and a door closed as Blues left. There was nothing that needed to be said, at least not in Net City. His reasons for lingering had come clear to him, as had his emotions. Now, he needed to get back to Enzan-sama, and do what he should have done a long time ago.
- - -
As Blues returned to his PET, the first thing he noticed was that Enzan's room was pitch dark, the only source of illumination being a silvery moon shining in through the floor-to-roof windows of the Ijuuin mansion. Of course, he had been prepared for Enzan-sama to be asleep, he had given clear indications he had been feeling rather tired. But, feeling as he did now, he would risk even waking his Operator, and damn the consequences.
However, as he looked out on the room, he discovered Enzan-sama was not in his bed; a closer look throughout the room revealed him to be by a window, sitting in a chair, looking out the window with a look of longing. Blues felt his breath catch in his throat like usual, albeit a lot more severe now when he was aware that…well, that could wait. Now all that mattered was to say those precious words to Enzan that he had been hiding in his heart for so long, not even knowing they were there himself.
But…Blues hesitated, part hesitant to break the moment in which his gorgeous-looking operator was the star, looking even better than usual (if such a things was possible) with the moon rays playing throughout his white hair and his pale face. And part, he was afraid…he was starting to lose his courage, fearing how Enzan-sama might react, what he might do to him… No, he couldn't think that way now, not after…after that poem. He had to know now, to know the Answer, no matter what it might be.
He was just about to speak up as suddenly he heard a noise of some kind, a kind of frail rapping sound. Enzan seemingly heard it too, as he sat up in the chair, looking around him. However, unlike Blues, Enzan had a wider angle of view, and with it he was apparently able to spot where the noise had come from and what had caused it, as he stood up from his chair, walking over to the window adjacent to the one he had been sitting by. His courage somehow strengthened by the sudden rush of action, he was just about to speak up once more when he caught eye of Enzan opening the window, reaching out a hand, and he choked on his words when a hand grabbed Enzan's. A little heave later, Blues felt like he had just fallen from somewhere very tall as Hikari Netto stood in Enzan-sama's room, smiling in the moonlight,.
"W-what…what's going on? Why would Netto-san be here at this hour? Could it be Net Savior business? Seems rather unlikely in this hour…and then, why would he come through the window?" Thoughts raced through Blues' head, and as Enzan closed the window, leading a whispered conversation with Netto all the while, Blues felt as if he was standing face to face with his darkest fear. However, when Enzan suddenly reached out and put his arms around Netto, looking deep into his eyes before proceeding to kiss him rather fiercely, Blues' heart sunk into a truly deep swamp inside his soul. "No…oh please, don't let this be…don’t let this be real…please, oh please…just let this be some Dark Aura induced dream or something…oh please…" Blues whispered, falling to his knees inside the PET as he beheld Enzan pushing Netto down in his double bed, crawling atop of the brown-haired boy so that he was straddling him, grinningly taking advantage of the position to remove the fellow Net Savior's orange vest. Then, the kiss ensued.
By that time, Blues was kneeling, his hands covering his mouth, muffling his silent sobs at the scene that unfolded in front of him. He had been too late…far too hopelessly late to even have a chance. That is, if such a thing had ever even been possible, for a human to feel anything more than ownership, and maybe a tinge of companionship, for a Navi. It certainly worked the other way around; Blues was horridly aware of that now, feeling his heart burst with pain and jealousy as Netto mewled rather loudly, squirming under Enzan's skilled hands. He loved Enzan-sama of all his heart, and he always had, but he had neither realized before, nor would he have dared to do anything about it if he had.
It almost felt like punishment, now sitting and forcing himself into watching every second that passed between Netto-san and Enzan-sama, and he nearly cried out in pain inside the PET as Enzan sucked the younger boy into a release, the latter moaning and arching his hips into the white haired boy's mouth as he came. Blues' embarrassment and anger with himself reaching new heights as he felt arousal rising inside, and despite earnest attempts there was precious little he could do to resist it the few times he had such urges. Tears streaking his blushing red cheeks, he slid a hand down his body suit, over his chest and torso, to his aching arousal, his sobs frail and sore in a strange mix of pleasure, pain, anger and need. When his hands reached their destination, and his fingers slid over his length, it felt as though he had become hypersensitive, each movement he made making his mind explode with sensation.
Outside the PET, Enzan was preparing Netto for further advances, his slick tongue playing over the boy's taut entrance, enticing delightful little mewling sounds from the brown-haired boy. The sounds changed to moans however, as Enzan let a pair of fingers join his tongue in an effort to stretch the fellow Net Savior, preparing him for whatever was to come. The crimson Navi part enjoying the show, part hating himself for enjoying what he saw, and what was going on between his Operator and Netto in the bed felt as though he was about to burst from an overload of conflicting and difficult feelings as he watched Enzan rising to his knees, positioning himself behind the younger boy, before gently thrusting into him. Blues felt as though he had been slapped as Netto cried in the initial mix of pain and pleasure, calling out Enzan's name. Even so, as Enzan and Netto reached a shared climax some minutes later, the white-haired boy collapsing panting atop the other, their climax was shared in secrecy by Blues who came harder than ever before, Enzan's name on his lips.
Sitting alone inside the PET, felling soiled and dirty in more ways than one, Blues felt empty, as if his sinful and ecstatic orgasm had washed away all feelings, positive and negative alike. He did not know what would happen from now, what he would say, what he would do. Only one thing remains inside him, one certainty.
"…my fate is a sad envoy."

Whoa…well, there's a first time for everything, I guess, also including writing smut. And fanfictions that are Blues-centric. I hope I didn't screw up too bad on either one of them. If I did, feel free to flame me. Or rather, criticize so I can do it better next time around. ^.^ This fic is especially for Rose Kitsune EXE, in fact, as she helped me on another fanfic, "Net Navi", by reminding me to include the wonderful pair of Enzan and Blues. Rose: Sorry for making Enzan and Netto having sex instead of Enzan and Blues, but the story that unfolded in my head demanded it. Besides, the story itself is Enzan x Blues, or rather just Blues centric.
Anyways, please read and review, people. I can take it, whatever you write (hopefully).
