Popularity is Overrated

Good day readers! Since I doubt many of you know me, I'll give you a brief warning. I am a huge yuri fan. Huge. So after I finish this story (in a few months from now I imagine..) and you'd like to see a particular yuri pairing, feel free to write me. I'll do almost any Sailor Moon pairing, just ask. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this new story. I got this idea from the story Popular, but I'm giving it my own personal twist. I promise it will be very different, no worries. If the two stories seem too similar, let me know and I'll fix it immediately. And as always... Read and Review please! Reviews make me write faster!

Chapter One: The Fire rises


The sun was laying just under the horizon, begging to rise out into the sky. The fire in the center of the open room was the only visible light for miles. A young woman with raven hair sat in front of the fire. Her eyes were sealed closed, with hands resting together in front of her. But even without light, she could feel the reflection from the fire and awaited the first sign of life from within.
As the sun began to peek it's tip over the horizon, the flame changed ever so slightly, and the raven haired woman's eyes opened. Amethyst eyes stared out in desperation, praying for more movement. Suddenly, the fire rose out from it's stable position and nearly hit the ceiling with its power. An image of a girl with blonde hair and bright blue eyes was shown, but was gone in an instant. The raven haired girl shuddered from the reaction that image had given her. 'That woman seemed so beautiful, but yet so deadly at the same time. I must do my best to avoid her.'
The woman stepped out of the room and watched as the sun started climbing up the early morning sky, making its way up and above. "Oh, good morning Rei." Rei turned around to see a familiar old man step into the yard and stand next to her, enjoying the sunrise. "Good morning Grandfather. Please excuse me, I must get ready for school. It's a whole new year after all." "But of course. I will see you when you get home." Rei turned and headed back towards the temple, running off to her room to get ready. Her grandfather just stood back and watched with a smile on face. 'She's growing up so fast. I wonder when she'll realize it.'

Rei stepped into her small room and looked through the closet, pulling out a blue and white sailor like uniform. She took her time taking off her clothes; a priestess outfit with red pants and a white shirt. She set it back on the hanger and took a minute to examine herself in the mirror. Her raven hair trailed down just past her waistline. A slim neck gave way to a moderate size chest, dawning rose colored nipples. A trim stomach from many years of chores and training, with long muscular legs. She had the body that most girls dreamed of, but rarely ever did she enjoy it. With a quick scoff to the mirror, Rei changed into the school uniform she had wanted, ran a fast brush through her hair, and ran off towards her new school.
It was a rare request to have, but Rei felt the need to do it. After years of being in a small private school, she finally got the nerve and transferred to a public school at the beginning of her 2nd year. It felt weird with only two more years of school left, but she felt it had to be done. Something was calling her to be there.

After a horrendous traffic jam, though quite normal for that time of day, Rei made it to the school with 10 minutes to spare. She took the time to look around... get a feel for her new surroundings. It didn't take long before she ran into something... or rather someone. Rei quickly stood and reached a hand out to the person she bumped into. "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. Are you o..okay?" Rei gasped as she laid eyes on her fellow student. Long blonde hair cascaded down her back, with bright blue eyes shining up to her. 'Oh my god, it's the girl from my predictions.' "Oh yeah, I'm fine. Just... fine." The girl stood up and brushed her skirt off lightly, and 'accidently' hiked it a little further up her thigh. Rei blushed and turned her head a bit, embarrased that she had been checking out a student, but a girl at that. The blonde hair girl noticed and chuckled under her breath, quite pleased with herself. "My name's Mina, what's yours?"


Yeah, it's really short! I know, I know. It's supposed to be like short for the first one with me though. The next one will be longer, and hopefully with fewer spelling errors. Until then, please leave a review. Thanks for reading!
