“Netto-kun… maybe today wasn’t the best day to go for a
walk?” Rockman’s voice spoke up tentatively.
“I think you’re right, Rockman,” Netto agreed, rubbing his
chilly arms through his white long-sleeved shirt.
It was a rainy day in Densan. The sky was an angry purplish
color, heralding what would probably be one of the worst thunderstorms in
Netto’s memory. Right now it was just pouring rain, but Netto knew that it was
only a matter of time before the thunder and lightning came. He skated down the
abandoned street as fast as he dared, heading for the safety of the Metroline
station that would take him back home to Akihara.
He skidded around a corner just as the first thunderclap
came. Netto, blinded by the simultaneous lighting flash, lost his balance on
the slippery surface and crashed into a lamppost. His left shoulder took the
brunt of the impact and he tumbled to the ground with a pained shout.
“Netto-kun!” Rockman yelled. “Are you okay?!”
Netto pushed himself onto his knees with the arm that hadn’t
been abused. “I’m fine,” he managed to say through gritted teeth as he
carefully prodded his left shoulder with his right hand. “My shoulder might not
be, though. Should I stop by the hospital and have them look at it?”
“You did crash pretty hard… but let’s go home first. Mama’s
probably worried sick about us right now. She can take a look at your
shoulder,” Rockman said. “It’s probably not bad enough to warrant going to the
hospital.”
“Says you,” Netto said. He didn’t object, though, and took
off down the street at a much slower pace. The rain came down harder, making it
difficult to see more than three inches in front of him, and he muttered, “Skating
blind sucks.”
He ducked under an awning and removed his clip-on skates.
Just as he was putting them in his backpack, he heard the unmistakable sound of
a Dimensional Area appearing. He looked down, startled, to see the ground take
on the iridescent hues that meant that he was in the middle of a Dimensional
Area. His skates slipped unnoticed to the ground as he whirled around.
If it’s an electric-type Navi I’m toast! Netto noted.
The rain would conduct the electricity right to him.
“Netto-kun! We need to crossfuse!” Rockman yelled at him.
“Of course!” Netto acknowledged, reaching down to his belt
to remove Rockman’s PET and the Synchro-chip. “Synchro-chip, slot-”
A purple beam came from nowhere, knocking the chip out of
Netto’s hand and singing his fingers. He yelped indignantly and brought his
hand to his chest protectively while he registered a faint cracking sound.
Damnit, I just got that thing fixed…
He was forced to turn his thoughts away from his broken
Synchro Chip as his attacker appeared under the overhang.
Netto’s eyes widened. “Dark Rockman!”
The purple Navi grinned. “Hello, Netto-kun. Did I hurt you?”
Netto glared. “Why do you care?”
Dark Rockman shrugged. “Why not?”
Netto glanced around. He was up against a storefront, with
Dark Rockman in front of him. He was trapped, and he didn’t know if any other
NetSaviors were on their way to help them.
“Netto-kun, be careful,” Rockman whispered just loud enough
for Netto to hear. “We’re powerless without the Synchro-chip.”
“What do you want?” Netto demanded of Dark Rockman. He gave
no indication that he’d heard Rockman.
Dark Rockman smiled. He looked exactly like Rockman, aside
from his warped colors, and Netto shivered involuntarily. “I want you,
Netto-kun.”
Before Netto could react, Dark Rockman was suddenly directly
in front of him. A strong arm went around his waist, pinning his arms, and
something damp was pressed against his mouth and nose. Netto inhaled and
smelled something very sweet right before his mind went fuzzy. He vaguely
registered Rockman’s frantic voice calling out for him, Dark Rockman supporting
him as his legs failed him, and the fact that he could no longer hear the rain
before his mind slipped into darkness.
Dark Rockman looked down at the boy in his arms and gave a
small smile that could almost be called gentle. He looked up as a van skidded
to a halt on the wet street and Sunayama opened the side door.
“Be careful with him,” Dark Rockman ordered icily, walking
over to the van and handing Netto over. “I assume the accommodations are
ready?”
“Yes, Dark Rockman-sama. Will you get there before us?”
“No. I have some… business… to take care of with the
NetSaviors. Make Netto and Rockman comfortable until I return and the fun can
begin.”
Dark Rockman took Netto’s PET, which had somehow remained in
the boy’s grasp, and smirked down at Rockman. The blue Navi glared up at him.
He had given up on shouting at Netto after the van had shown up. “Well, well.
Long time no see, Rockman. You don’t need to worry about Netto, and don’t
bother trying to call your friends. I’ve blocked telephone communication from
this area, but I’m sure you figured that out already.”
“What do you want with Netto?” Rockman snapped.
Dark Rockman waved a finger at him. “Don’t be hasty, now.
You’ll find out what I have planned soon enough. Until then I need you to
sleep.” He slipped a battlechip into the slot
before Rockman could protest and the blue Navi fell into a dreamless
slumber. Satisfied, Dark Rockman gave Rockman’s PET to Sunayama. The man closed
the van door and the vehicle screeched off. The Dimensional Area faded just
then, and Dark Rockman was forced to log out.
“It’s gone,” Meijin reported unnecessarily. He,
Hikari-hakase, Enzan, and Laika were watching the news footage of the
Dimensional Area that had appeared in downtown Densan. “Dingo just emailed,” he
continued. “He found Netto’s Synchro Chip and skates, but no sign of Netto
himself.”
The group was in NetSavior headquarters, most standing in
front of the screen that had before captivated them. Now that there was nothing
save a deserted street, those standing gravitated to the nearby seats.
Hikari-hakase buried his head in his arms despairingly.
The silence dragged on for a long moment before alarms
suddenly went off. The room’s occupants jerked and looked to Meijin.
“Something’s breached our security,” Meijin said grimly,
typing furiously at his keyboard. “Security Navis are no match for the
intruder, and I’ve advised all normal Navis to plug out for the time being. The
intruder is heading for this room. Enzan, Laika, if you don’t mind?”
Enzan and Laika nodded and stepped up to the plug-in port.
Just as they were raising their PETs to send Blues and Searchman into the
Network, the alarms suddenly stopped and the big screen went blank. All eyes
turned to the screen as an image came into focus.
“Dark Rockman!” the room gasped.
The purple Navi grinned maliciously. “You saw my Dimensional
Area and am wondering about Netto-kun. Correct?”
“What did you do to him?!” Hikari-hasake demanded, jumping
up and slamming his hands onto the desk in front of him. Everyone jumped and
looked at him.
“He’s all right, Papa. I wouldn’t hurt Netto-kun. I’ll give
him back after I’m done with him, you don’t have to worry. Rockman, now, he’s a
different story…” Dark Rockman smirked.
“Don’t you dare call me ‘Papa’!” Hikari-hakase practically
growled. “Give me back my son!”
Dark Rockman tsk-ed at Hikari-hakase. “Don’t get upset,
Papa. He’s all right, and you’ll get him back in one piece. I’ve left you with
everything you need to find Netto-kun. Farewell Papa. I’ll take care of
Netto-kun for you.”
With a slight wave he logged out. Meijin was looking at his
computer screen in a state of shock.
“Meijin?” Enzan asked, turning to the person so named.
“Dark Rockman left a lot of data… it’ll take a while to
decode but he might actually have left us with instructions on how to find
Netto!”
“Start decoding it. Now,” Hikari-hakase ordered. “I… I have
to call Haruka.”
Netto awoke to someone massaging his sore shoulder. He
opened his eyes and blinked blearily at the soft blue comforter his face was
pressed against. It took a few moments for him to remember what happened, but
as soon as he did he pushed himself upright as fast as he could, sending pain shooting
through his shoulder and bumping into the person who had been massaging it a
second before. He turned around and beheld a hurt-looking Dark Rockman staring
at him.
“That wasn’t nice of you, Netto-kun,” the purple Navi
scolded. “I’ll bet your shoulder hurts again.”
Netto made a break for the edge of the bed but found that he
couldn’t get very far. A soft leather handcuff was connected to a bedpost via a
deceptively frail looking chain. He could move about comfortably on the bed but
could only go five feet from that bedpost. He tugged at the chain for a few
moments before glaring at Dark Rockman and looking around for any other
surprises.
The room was decorated tastefully and comfortably. A blue
carpet of a different shade then the bedcovers cushioned the floors, while a
large monitor dominated the far wall. A thick wooden door was the only way in
or out of the room and it was well out of Netto’s reach.
“Why am I here?” Netto finally demanded, turning to Dark
Rockman and glaring at the Navi.
“I wanted to see you, Netto-kun,” Dark Rockman answered
immediately.
“You wanted to ransom me out to the NetSaviors, you mean,”
Netto said sourly.
“I wouldn’t do that, Netto-kun. Are you hungry? I could have
some food brought for you.” Dark Rockman looked honestly concerned as he
slipped off the bed and approached Netto. Netto backed up as far as his
handcuff would allow and Dark Rockman stopped a foot from him.
“I’m not hungry,” Netto stated firmly, though in reality his
stomach was twisting itself in knots with hunger. Thankfully it didn’t growl.
“How about some water, then?” Dark Rockman persisted.
“No.” Netto inched past Dark Rockman and scrambled back onto
the bed, grabbing a pillow and holding it in front of him defensively. “I don’t
want anything but to get out of here.” He glared at the purple Navi before
something occurred to him. “How are you in the real world without a dimensional
area? And where’s Rockman?” He felt rather bad for not thinking of his Navi
before.
“One of my associates gave me a Dimensional Chip,” Dark
Rockman answered. “And Rockman is safe, for now. I have no intention of
physically harming either of you for the time being. As if I could hurt you,
Netto-kun. Are you sure you’re not hungry?”
Netto’s stomach didn’t listen to him this time and growled
loud enough for Dark Rockman to hear. The Navi smiled, the gentle look turned
sinister by something in his eyes. Netto glared at him.
“Make yourself comfortable. I’ll be back in a moment.” Dark
Rockman turned and left. Netto stared after him in a minor state of confusion.
“Why is he being so nice to me?” he wondered aloud as he
turned his attention to his handcuff. It was remarkably comfortable, Netto
noted, but impossible to get off as far as he could tell. After a few moments
he gave up with a frustrated sigh and flopped backwards on the bed. He turned
his face towards the door to watch for Dark Rockman’s return and considered his
options.
“Okay… what’re the odds of me knocking Dark Rockman out with
a pillow?” he asked himself sarcastically. He eyed the mound of fluff anyway.
The door opening and shutting again caught Netto’s attention
and he sat up to see Dark Rockman approach the bed with a tray of food. Netto
scooted as far away from the Navi as he could as Dark Rockman sat down and set
the food in front of Netto.
“Curry is your favorite, isn’t it?” Dark Rockman asked when
Netto didn’t move towards the food.
“How did you know?” Netto demanded, looking away from the
tempting plate and focusing on the large monitor opposite the bed.
“I know everything that Rockman knows, Netto-kun. Or what he
knew when I was created. I also know that your favorite color is blue.” Dark
Rockman smiled.
Netto’s stomach growled again. The smell of the curry was
taunting him.
“Please eat, Netto-kun.” Dark Rockman shot him a worried
look that was startling in its apparent sincerity. Netto studied the Navi’s
expression for a moment before finally giving into his hunger and moving the
tray over to him.
“Thanks,” he said grudgingly once he’d finished. He chugged
the glass of water Dark Rockman had brought with the food and set the empty
plate and glass aside. Dark Rockman picked up the dishes and set them on a
nearby table. Netto grabbed the pillow again and laid it across his lap. “Now what?”
Dark Rockman shrugged and removed his helmet. Dark brown
hair fell into his face and he pushed the strands back with one hand while the
other set the helmet next to the dishes.
“What do you want to do, Netto-kun?” Dark Rockman wanted to
know.
“Why does it matter what I want?” Netto asked sourly,
raising his bound right hand. His shoulder had started to get more insistent
about the fact it was in pain and he suppressed a wince as he shifted and
leaned back against the headboard.
“Because I do care about you, Netto-kun. Is your shoulder
bothering you?” Dark Rockman asked. He removed his gloves and slid over to
where Netto was. Netto tensed and brought the pillow to bear. Dark Rockman
chuckled. “I won’t hurt you, Netto-kun.” The Navi reached up to Netto’s injured
shoulder despite Netto’s protests and coaxed the boy forward so he had better
access.
“What are you doing?” Netto demanded as Dark Rockman began
rubbing his shoulder rhythmically. He winced. “That hurts!”
“You must have hit your shoulder pretty badly…” Dark Rockman
said. “It’s one giant knot.” He continued rubbing, kneading the muscle gently.
Netto tried to glare at him but found that his shoulder was feeling a little
better.
“Why are you doing this?” Netto wanted to know as he shifted
again so his back was to Dark Rockman. The Navi continued to massage Netto’s
shoulder.
“Because I want to, Netto-kun.”
“What are you getting out of it?”
“Nothing but seeing you happy, Netto-kun. I care about you.
In that respect your Navi and I are the same. It’s just the other things we
disagree on.”
“Things like which side to fight on, you mean,” Netto noted.
He found himself resting his head against the pillow in his lap, an awkward
position at the best of times, and his lower back wasn’t happy with him. He
moved so he was lying on his stomach, his head on the pillow, with Dark Rockman
kneeling with a leg on either side of him. He felt vaguely uncomfortable with
that but figured that if Dark Rockman really wanted to hurt him he would
already have done so.
Netto lay there in silence while Dark Rockman worked. He was
slightly confused by the dark Navi’s behavior but grateful all the same. His
shoulder no longer hurt and Dark Rockman had moved from that area to the rest
of his back. Netto found it hard to remain wary when Dark Rockman seemed bent
on turning him into a pile of mush.
Suddenly the room seemed unbearably hot. “Ne, Dark Rockman,
did you turn off the air conditioner?” Netto asked sleepily.
“No, Netto-kun. Are you all right?” Dark Rockman’s voice
came from right next to his ear, a puff of air tickling his skin, and he
shivered involuntarily.
“I feel hot,” Netto complained.
Dark Rockman’s hands were suddenly caressing him under his
shirt. “You don’t feel hot, Netto-kun.”
Netto’s skin tingled where Dark Rockman touched him. “I feel
strange…” he murmured. His head felt fuzzy. He didn’t resist as Dark Rockman
turned him over so the Navi could peer at his flushed face critically.
“It’ll be okay, Netto-kun,” Dark Rockman assured. He reached
down to Netto’s face and caressed the boy’s cheek tenderly. Netto just looked
up at him confused.
“What do you mean?”
“I love you, Netto-kun. It’s taken me this long to realize
what this emotion is but now I want to share it with you.” Before Netto could
respond Dark Rockman’s face was suddenly directly above his own, their lips
bare millimeters apart. “I want to stay with you, Netto-kun. Will you stay with
me?”
Netto’s breath was coming in pants. He couldn’t answer.
“Maybe I can convince you, Netto-kun.”
Dark Rockman brought their lips together, one hand reaching
behind Netto to grasp his neck. Netto gasped into the kiss as Dark Rockman’s
other hand toyed with him through the fabric of his shorts. Dark Rockman took
advantage of Netto’s parted lips to explore the boy’s mouth thoroughly, causing
him to moan involuntarily. It felt like his nerves were on fire and every touch
was amplified immeasurably. He couldn’t understand what was going on with him
and his thoughts were too fuzzy to even try.
Dark Rockman finally let him up for breath and started
kissing and nipping at his neck instead. Netto gasped at the sensation. Dark
Rockman was still massaging him through his pants and he was slowly becoming
hard.
“Please…” he gasped, trying to push Dark Rockman away with
suddenly weak hands.
“What’s wrong, Netto-kun?” Dark Rockman asked between nips.
“I’m – ” Netto struggled with the words. He was overwhelmed
with unfamiliar feelings and a nagging sense that something wasn’t right.
“It’ll be all right, Netto-kun.” Dark Rockman kissed Netto
again, more forcefully this time. A demanding tongue invaded his mouth and
Netto was helpless to do anything but kiss back, his body finally telling his
brain to go fly a kite. He arched up into the assault, moaning as the hand
behind his neck moved to caress his chest instead.
“Are you enjoying yourself, Netto-kun?” Dark Rockman asked
as he finally let Netto breathe. Netto whimpered and tried to bring Dark
Rockman down to kiss him again. The Navi attacked Netto’s neck again, kissing
and nipping at the tender flesh while a hand explored his chest and the other
massaged his erection through his shorts. Netto couldn’t pinpoint exactly when
his vest came off, but suddenly it wasn’t there and Dark Rockman had left his
neck alone in favor of taking off his shirt. Netto heard something rip around
where his bound hand was but he didn’t pay it any mind as Dark Rockman employed
his mouth on Netto’s chest, sucking at nipples, stomach, and places that the
Navi deemed interesting. Netto couldn’t do anything but moan. He was no longer
thinking about anything but what Dark Rockman was doing to him.
Dark Rockman paused at the waistband of Netto’s shorts and
looked up, silently asking permission. As he expected, Netto gasped, “Do something!”
Dark Rockman didn’t hesitate to pull Netto’s shorts and boxers down to the
boy’s sneakers. The Navi tugged them off impatiently and tossed sneakers,
socks, boxers, and shorts in the general direction of the edge of the bed. Then
he was kissing Netto again, allowing the boy to explore him this time. Netto
did so hesitantly, his uncertainty giving away to eagerness as he tasted the
Navi and wanted more. Dark Rockman helped Netto peel away the Navi’s purple
bodysuit. It joined Netto’s clothes on the floor along with the Navi’s boots.
Dark Rockman let Netto’s hands roam his chest as they kissed again.
Dark Rockman kissed and nipped his way down Netto’s body,
stopping as he reached the boy’s erection and settling between his legs. Netto
cried out as Dark Rockman kissed the tip, thrusting blindly upwards in an
attempt to recapture the sensation. Dark Rockman smiled and took Netto into his
mouth. Netto arched into Dark Rockman’s mouth, moaning uncontrollably. Dark
Rockman watched Netto carefully throughout his ministrations and, when he
decided the time was right, he opened a tube of lube hidden in the bedsheets
and coated his fingers.
“Netto-kun,” Dark Rockman said, letting Netto slip from his
mouth. Netto looked down with hazy eyes. “You can tell me to stop at any time.”
“Don’t,” Netto pleaded.
“It will hurt, Netto-kun. Are you sure?”
“Please!” Netto begged.
Dark Rockman gave Netto a reassuring kiss. “All right,
Netto-kun.” He took Netto in his mouth again and nudged Netto’s legs further
apart. With the boy sufficiently distracted Dark Rockman slipped a lubed finger
into him. Netto was too preoccupied to notice the intruding digit. Dark Rockman
slid the finger in and out a few times before adding a second.
Netto gasped aloud and tried to squirm away. “What…?”
Dark Rockman paused in his ministrations. “It’s all right,
Netto-kun.”
“It hurts,” Netto managed to gasp.
“I know, Netto-kun, but if I don’t do this then it will hurt
even more. Please try to relax, Netto-kun.”
Netto nodded. Dark Rockman leaned up to kiss him again, then
returned to his ministrations. Netto relaxed after a moment and Dark Rockman
pushed his fingers in as deeply as he dared. He spread his fingers as he
worked, murmuring reassurances around Netto’s erection. Netto moaned at the
sensation. The pain was forgotten as Dark Rockman hit something deep inside
that sent a shiver of pleasure up his spine and left him breathless. He thrust
upwards blindly as Dark Rock continued to stroke that spot, a third finger
joining the other two as Netto arched upwards and came with a loud cry.
Dark Rockman let Netto’s now-limp erection slip from his
mouth and looked up at him. His eyes were closed and he was panting like he had
just skated across town. Dark Rockman studied him for a moment, his fingers
still buried in him, before leaning up and planting a gentle kiss on Netto’s
forehead.
“Netto-kun?”
Netto moaned unintelligently and opened bleary eyes.
“Are you ready for more, Netto-kun?”
“More?” Netto repeated.
“Yes, Netto-kun. It will hurt at first, but then it’ll feel
better than anything you’ve ever felt before.”
“Better than just now?” Netto asked bemusedly.
Dark Rockman nodded. “Are you ready?”
Netto hesitated a moment before nodding. Dark Rockman kissed
him, letting Netto explore while he removed his fingers. It took a moment to
find the lube because it had migrated to the other side of the bed while its
occupants were otherwise engaged, but Dark Rockman reclaimed it. A moment later
Netto felt something tickle his entrance and gasped.
“It’s all right, Netto-kun,” Dark Rockman soothed, easing
inside Netto as slowly as he could stand to. Netto arched into him, whimpering
a little. It burned but felt good at the same time, and he was torn between
begging for more and wanting to stop. All notions of stopping flew out the
proverbial window when Dark Rockman hit that same place inside him as before.
He cried out in pleasure as Dark Rockman buried himself fully. The Navi paused.
“Netto-kun?” Dark Rockman said. Netto opened his eyes and tried
to focus on Dark Rockman. “Are you okay?” Netto nodded. “I’m going to move now,
Netto-kun. Just tell me to stop and I will.”
Netto’s answer was to reach up and pull Dark Rockman down
for a kiss. Dark Rockman smiled into the kiss. He pulled out almost all the
way, then pushed back in gently, causing Netto to moan. Dark Rockman repeated
the action, plundering Netto’s mouth as he did so. Netto’s erection was back in
full force. It rubbed against Dark Rockman as he moved, causing Netto to moan
louder from the friction.
They continued like this for whe seemed like an eternity,
silence punctuated by loud moans from Netto and grunts from Dark Rockman. They
kissed, broke apart, and kissed again, Dark Rockman reaching between them to
stroke Netto’s erection. After an endless moment Netto arched into Dark
Rockman, crying out loudly as he came. A cry was torn from Dark Rockman’s
throat as Netto’s body clamped down on him. He managed only a few more thrusts
before he came deep inside Netto, their cries intermingling for a few brief
seconds.
Dark Rockman collapsed onto the bed next to Netto, pulling
out of the boy in the same motion. Netto curled up against him, a move that
surprised Dark Rockman. He didn’t mind, though, and wrapped his arms around
Netto as the boy drifted off to sleep. Dark Rockman studied Netto’s sleeping
face for a moment. His attention was torn away by the unmistakable sound of a
Dimensional Area forming.
“They decoded everything faster than I thought they would,”
the Navi muttered. He caressed Netto’s cheek one last time before slipping out
of the bed and opening the first drawer of the small desk that sat next to the
bed. There was a small spritz bottle of water and a few rags, and he used them
to clean himself off before dressing. He then turned to Netto. When he was
finished he opened the next drawer and pulled out a set of clothing in Netto’s
size. The key to the handcuff was hidden under a leg of the bed, and within
moments Netto was fully dressed in a pair of cutoff blue jean shorts and a tee
shirt. That done, Dark Rockman made sure Netto was comfortable, then turned and
walked through the wall with the monitor.
He was greeted by a green-eyed glare of death from Rockman.
Dark Rockman grinned at his lighter counterpart. Rockman was chained to the
wall that had been holographically hidden, in the real world before thanks to
another Dimensional Chip courtesy of one of Dark Rockman’s lackeys. The
hologram that had hid Rockman was also designed to keep sound from penetrating
it. Rockman, however, had still been able to hear everything courtesy of a
small microphone implanted in the headboard of the bed.
“What’s wrong? I told Netto-kun I wouldn’t hurt him and I
didn’t.”
Rockman was too angry for words. Instead, he turned his
attention to the bed he could clearly see from where he was. His angry
expression turned to one of concern and he tugged at his bonds futilely.
“Your friends are here so I’ll take my leave,” Dark Rockman
said casually. “I’ll let you go as soon as I’m gone. Goodbye, Rockman.” The
dark Navi gave a little wave as he logged out. A bare second later Rockman’s
chains were opened. The Navi barely stopped himself from faceplanting and raced
to Netto’s side.
At that exact moment the door broke from its hinges and fell
forward. Rockman jumped in surprise and whirled around, Rockbuster ready.
“Whoa! Point that thing somewhere else!” Dingo yelled,
bringing Tomahawkman’s tomahawk in front of his face as a shield. He leaped out
of Rockman’s line of fire, and Enzan blinked at Rockman.
Rockman felt like he’d been programmed with one too many
energy programs. He felt overly jumpy, and he showed this by lowering his arm
but not dismissing the Rockbuster. He turned to the bed and gently shook
Netto’s shoulder to wake him up. He couldn’t quite stop his tears as he caught
sight of miscellaneous fluids smeared where Netto and Dark Rockman has been.
Netto stirred and opened bleary eyes.
“Rockman?” he asked fuzzily, sitting up and wincing. The
pain woke him up with a jolt. “What’s going on?” he asked, seeing all of the
Crossfusion Members gathered around the bed. The older crowd took one look at
the mess on the bed and knew instantly what had gone on.
Rockman looked away from Netto. He was openly sobbing now,
guilt washing over him. He wished he could return to his PET but doing so
without knowing where it was would probably not be the best idea.
“Rockman?” Netto asked worriedly, forgetting the Crossfusion
Members at the sight of his Navi crying. He scooted to the edge of the bed and
made to stand up but immediately sat back down with a yelp of pain. Rockman
cringed at the sound. “What’s wrong?” Netto demanded of his Navi.
“I’m sorry, Netto-kun,” Rockman said miserably. “I couldn’t
stop Dark Rockman…”
“Stop?” Netto repeated. “Stop wha- oh.” His eyes widened as
he remembered and he looked down in shame. “It’s not your fault,” he said
quietly. He scooted backwards on the bed until he had enough room to bring his
legs up and clasp them to his chest. The Crossfusion Members watched in silence.
After a few moments Laika finally cleared his throat. “We
should get out of here. We haven’t seen any Navis or viruses but there’s no
sense in taking chances.”
“I can’t walk,” Netto said quietly. “It hurts.”
No one asked him to elaborate. Laika picked him up carefully
while Rockman hovered nearby. The Navi’s tears had stopped in favor of his
worry over Netto.
“Have you found my PET?” he asked Enzan.
“No. We thought it might be with Netto.”
“I haven’t seen it,” Netto said, uncharacteristically reserved.
He had his face buried in Laika’s chest and refused to look up.
Rockman pondered for a moment, then turned to the little
desk and opened all the drawers.
“Found it.” He handed the device to Enzan, then returned to
Netto’s side.
“Move out!” Enzan commanded, taking the lead. It seemed all
of the Crossfusion members were there to rescue Netto, and he, Laika, and
Rockman were in the middle of the group as they made their way to an exit.
Netto kept his eyes on Laika’s chest, but Rockman looked around as they ran.
They were in what looked like an abandoned apartment building, judging by the
rows of dirty doors they passed. He was forced to pay attention to where they
were going when he tripped over a part of the carpet that had frayed.
They encountered nothing, not even when they burst out the
front doors into the view of an entire squadron of police armed with the battle
chip gate. Outside the Dimensional Area several ambulances waited, lights
flashing, and Hikari-hakase and Haruka could be seen holding each other and
watching the action intently. Cheers arose when the Crossfusion Team appeared,
and the Dimensional Area faded a second later. Rockman gave Netto a comforting
pat on the head before he was forced back into his PET. Once there, he vanished
from the screen and refused to speak to anyone.
Laika carried Netto to the nearest ambulance and tried to
set him down, but Netto refused to let go of his shirt. He had started crying
sometime during their trek but no one had noticed, as they’d been too concerned
with the possibility of attack. Laika was at a loss for what he should do, so
he just climbed into the ambulance with Netto and sat on the gurney. He patted
Netto’s back awkwardly but couldn’t think of anything to say.
“I’ll stay with him,” he said to the EMT helplessly. Enzan
climbed in without a word as well, holding Rockman’s PET in one hand and Blues’
in the other. Blues’ voice could be heard from Rockman’s PET.
At Laika’s questioning look he said shortly, “Blues is
trying to get an account of what happened, but Rockman is too upset to talk.”
“I don’t know what to do,” Laika said quietly as the
ambulance jerked into motion. Netto whimpered as his abused body was jarred.
The EMT shot a look at Laika and Netto that was met with a hard glare from
Enzan. “What can I say?”
“I don’t know,” Enzan said, just as quietly. Netto’s face
couldn’t be seen, buried as it was in Laika’s shirt. Laika was beginning to
become uncomfortable in the damp fabric but, for Netto, he bore the discomfort.
“Enzan-sama,” Blues said from Rockman’s PET. Enzan brought
the blue device up and looked at the screen. Blues was in a similar position as
Laika, holding a bawling Rockman in his arms. “Rockman tells me that Netto
was–”
“We know,” Enzan said, a tad shortly. “Did he say why?”
Blues shook his head. “That’s all I’ve managed to get so
far. Should I keep asking?”
“No.” Enzan hesitated before putting Rockman’s PET in his
hip holster. Blues’ unoccupied PET went into a pocket of his vest.
The rest of the trip was made in silence, with the EMT
hovering nearby but not actually doing anything. Each person was lost in his
own thoughts.
Those thoughts were interrupted with the arrival of the
ambulance at the hospital. Laika and Enzan got into a heated argument with the
EMT about Netto and hospital regulations, an argument that ended with Enzan
flashing his NetSavior badge and telling the EMT to take issue with his
superiors with wording that wasn’t as polite. The EMT was forced to wheel both
Netto and Laika in on the gurney, as Laika’s legs had fallen asleep. Laika
blushed at the indignity but bore it for Netto’s sake.
A doctor walked up to them as they were moving. Enzan was
trailing not far behind.
“Hikari Netto?” the doctor asked tentatively.
“He is,” Laika said shortly, nodding at the still figure in
his arms.
“We’ll take him from here,” the doctor said. “Can you tell
me what happened to him?”
Enzan was suddenly in front of the doctor and dragging him
down to the boy’s level. “He was raped by a Navi and is very upset about it. Do
try not to mention it as much as possible.” His voice was cold as ice. The
doctor shivered and nodded his assent.
“Netto?” the doctor said, leaning close to the boy so named.
He didn’t react at all. “Netto, you need to come with me now. I’ll take care of
you. Your friends can come too, if you want them to.”
Netto’s only reaction was to loosen his deathgrip on Laika’s
shirt. Laika slipped off the gurney and carefully laid Netto down.
“Do you want us to come with you, Netto?” Enzan asked
gently. Netto curled up on his side and grabbed Enzan’s hand like it was a
lifeline. Laika took Netto’s other hand, and the doctor pushed the gurney down
the hall.
FIN
Okay, crappy ending, but I suck at them. Yay for maybe my
second yaoi lemon. It may have a sequel, but for now it’s done. I hope everyone
enjoyed!
