Much Needed Time Off

"Fuck you, fuck you, fuck YOU, YOU'RE cool, fuck you, I'm outa here."*

"What on Earth are you talking about?"

"I thought I was being pretty clear- fuck all of you except for you," a finger pointed out, "and I'm out of here. What, you've never seen 'Half Baked?'" The blonde haired man waited for a second and looked among the four pairs of confused, blinking eyes for a sign of recognition before he sighed. "Oh that's right, I'm in Japan. Nevermind."

"K-san..."

The clock on the wall was nearing close to five, and the blonde haired manager of Bad Luck sighed, wishing it would hit the mark so he could leave. Claude Winchester, or K as he was called there and everywhere else in Japan, frowned as he turned back to his speaker. The black haired, glasses wearing producer across from him looked even more weary and confused than K thought he always did to begin with. "What?"

Sakano sighed again as he met the annoyed stare from the American. It seemed as of lately K had been growing more and more agitated, staring off into the distance, snapping at anyone who disturbed him out of his daydreaming and actually SHOOTING the guns he constantly carried...more than usual, that was. "I understand you've been upset as of late, but what do you mean, you're 'out of here'? Are you going somewhere?"

"You bet your ass." The American took something off from the top of his desk and handed it to the producer with a smirk. "Read it and weep, my man." K watched as Sakano looked down at the peice of paper in his hands, eyes narrowing slightly as he read. "got permission from the head honcho Tohma Seguchi himself for that, so don't even THINK about begging me not to do it. All of you have had it coming for a long time."

The three others sets of eyes in the room blinked simultaneously. "What, are you going back to America?"

K snorted at the green haired boy's question. "Hardly, Fuijisaki, ask again."

"We're not getting another new manager again, are we? I hope he's less violent than you."

"Wanna test that theory, Shindo?" K sked as he took the gun from his right shoulder holster, clicking the safety off. He could see Suichic's heart jump right into his throat as the lead singer shook his head a violent 'no'.

The red headed guitarist sighed. "You asked for some time off, didn't you?" Hiro lifted an eyebrow as he looked up from his strumming, his thoughts confirmed as K's smile grew wider.

"Ding ding ding, we have a winner! Yep, asked the prez man for some time off and I got it with flying colors, so for a whole week I'm OUT of this popsicle stand!"

"A WEEKL?! What are we going to do about Bad Luck if you're going to be gone for a week?!" Suichi jumped up, his finger pointing accusedly at the blonde.

"Well maybe you could get off your ass and write a new song or maybe even sing the one you have now without getting mopey every five seconds, did you ever think of that?" K rolled his eyes, sighing grumpily. He leaned back in his chair and stared towards the ceiling, ignoring with great difficulty the the scorn filled screams coming from the younger boy. What was the big deal, anyway? He'd have everyone out of his hair and Suichi could get laid to his hearts content and get some actual WORK done...K smiled as the thought hit him, and he sat up, holding up a hand to stop the singers tirade. "Oh Suichi, you're right. I'm your MANAGER, who am I to ask for time off, right?"

"That's right! We need to get Bad Luck out there! Pictures, interviews, TV shows, even SALSA dancing if that's waht it takes to get us to the TOP!!!" Suichi's eyes turned into upside down U's as he held a finger up towards the sky, his foot planted firmly on the table in exuberance.

"Absolutely, Suichi! I can't think of a better way for you to spend a week than to be at the studios!" K stood up, pumping both fists for effort. "I mean, after all, if I'm gone and you didn't have to come to work it meant you could spend more time with YUKI! But wants THAT right?! Who would want to spend a WHOLE WEEK ALONE with their boyfriend when they could be here? I'm getting all excited just THINKING about it!"

Hiro smirked to himself as he watched Suichi's face fall, his eyes grew large and shiney as a small trickle of drool ran from his open mouth. He shook his head, trying not to laugh at the large exhagerated faces K was making or the drooling one Suichi wore. It came as no surprise when Suichi suddenly snapped two suitcases out of nowhere, waving them around in the air above his head. "K'S GOING ON VACATION, YAY!! NO NEED TO WAIT SO GO ON AND GO!"

"A WEEK OFF WORK!" K cheered.

"A WEEK WITH YUUUUUUUUUUKIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!"

"A week of silence." Fujisaki sighed with the shake of his head.

"It all begins at the chime of five...four..three...two..VACATION TIME!!!" K threw his arms in the air, confetti flying everywhere as the clock on the wall began to toll the hour. "Go on Suichi, go to Yuki!"

The small dust cloud that lingered in Suichi's shape slowly disapated, leaving nothing behind but a small trail of hearts and, in the distance, the cry of "YUKI!!!" repeated over and over again until it eventually faded away.

"Yes, thank God for Yuki." Fujisaki sighed as he put on his jacket, zipping it up as he turned towards the door. "Have a good seven days, K-san."

Hiro watched as he walked out of the door, Sakano following him while muttering under his breath something about 'the president' and 'disgrace'. when the door to the break room shut he looked back at the blonde in front of him. K sat back down again, sighing heavily as he shut his eyes. "Smart idea using Yuki like that, K-san. You look tired."

"I am tired." K leaned back into his chair as he rubbed one eye, making small sparks of light shoot into his vision. "Between Shindo and everything else, it's time for a break."

"I can understand that. So what are you going to do for seven days?" Hiro sat his guitar down so it leaned against his chair, and he turned around to look at his manager. It was true- K looked tired, his skin an unhealthy shade as well as barely noticeable dark lines under K's eyes. It was a silly thought, he knew, but it even seemed that the usually bright blonde color of K's hair had dulled a bit. K opened his eyes, flitting them over to rest on Hiro's.

"Sleep. A lot." K stood up and yawned, stretching out his arms until he heard something in his elbow pop. "And hell if I'm going to work at all while I'm off, so if Shindo has any problems don't bother me with them, got it? Me having a week off of work is NOT going to drastically change your lives."

"Got it."

K sighed, tossing his jacket over his shoulder as he made his way towards the door to the breakroom. Behind him, he heard Hiro stand and pick up his guitar. He waited for the younger man to step up behind him before he opened the door and started walking down the long hall towards the elevator. "Man, it'll be so nice to put my hair down for a while." K pushed the elevator button, and as the doors opened he heard Hiro chuckle behind him. "Something funny, Nakano?"

"Not really." Hiro said with a shrug as the blonde stepped into the elevator. As the doors shut he watched K wave to him before they were closed, waiting until he was sure the elevator was well on it's way before he chuckled again. "Just wondering what that would look like, is all." Hiro sighed and pushed the elevator button himself, and waited for the next avalible lift.
