~Lé Wolf~
By:
Aerys Krystie.
Theme:
AU, total AU.
Plot:
ATs are massive around the world. Various other countries already have
tournaments set up for them. Defending champions of seven countries go to Japan,
knowing they will not be the best in the world until they defeat Japan’s best.
Lé Wolf is a codeword
that unleashes something even more psychotic than Agito. When uttered, every
Storm Rider is in danger.
Warnings:
Perversion, violence, language…most likely OOC-ness, too.

A/N:
An idea I’ve been kicking around for a bit. If I manage (which is highly likely)
to mess something up, please let me know. You can find my email in my profile. I
will try to fix the problem as soon as possible.

‘What are we doing here?’
Salix raised an eyebrow,
looking down at his younger brother, who was sitting on the edge of the
building, staring up at him. With a roll of the eyes, Salix went back to
watching the Parts War. They had been following the battles for the last two
months. Every time, there was always one team that was in it.
Kogarasumaru certainly
were in a league of their own. All of the members had their own technique,
almost like they didn’t want to clash with another member. It was strangely
exhilarating to watch them pull a win out of the hat, to pull out miracles like
they were nothing. It seemed as though someone higher up owed them a lot of
favors.
Karrad groaned, watching
the stars with boredom. Sure, watching battles was fun, but they had been
watching the same team for too long. It was growing boring to see them come out
victorious all the time. Sure, it was amazing to see the leader of Kogarasumaru
pull off his tricks, but one could only see so much of that guy before wanting
to kill him.
Pulling the hood off his
head, Karrad stood beside his brother, looking down at the battle field. It was
a foot race. With a weary sigh, Karrad tugged on Salix’s sweater sleeve like a
child. He wanted to do something fun, and standing there was no fun.
‘I’m bored, Salix!’
Salix raised his hand to
silence his brother. ‘It’s almost over, Karrad. The leaders are going out for
one last battle.’
Karrad pouted, pulling
his hood back on as he skated up and down the length of the ledge they were on.
He stopped when he felt he was being watched. He looked down at the group. Two
people were looking their direction.
Salix continued to assess
Ikki’s moves, despite the eyes on him. He was talented for sure. Some of his
tricks looked annoying. But watching him pull them off without a hitch was
interesting, to say the least. Snapping his fingers, gaining his brother’s
attention, Salix motioned for them to leave with a toss of his head.
Grinning, hidden within
the shadows of the hood, Karrad followed. His boredom was finally over. He knew
tomorrow he would have to train, since they both missed it tonight watching the
Parts War. Karrad felt as though he hadn’t learnt anything, but knew his brother
would have gathered a lot of information.
‘Can we get something to
eat? I’m hungry.’ Not getting a reply, Karrad sighed. It appeared that Salix was
going to be chewing over the information he had just received all night, leaving
Karrad to be bored again.
~
Ringo frowned. She had
noticed those two silhouettes at previous Parts Wars. They never did anything.
Usually, they just stood atop some building, if possible, watching the battle
play out. Before the end of the war, they usually disappear.
She hadn’t seen many
people move at that speed. Kazu was the only one she knew to practically
disappear She held her chin in thought. Obviously they were Storm Riders, but
who were they? Glancing around at the others, she noticed that on Kazu noticed
the strangers too.
Turning to face him,
Ringo raised an eyebrow. Kazu shrugged. He didn’t know who they were or what
purpose they served, except to watch. It seemed like a strange technique, to
Kazu anyway. He always thought you learned by doing. Even Agito – no, Akito –
seemed unaware of their presence.
Turning her attention
back to Ikki, who had just won a new emblem, Ringo tried to move the strangers
to the back of her mind. It was Ikki’s turn to shine. If there were new Storm
Riders in town, surely they would know about them, right?
At least, she hoped they
would know about them. Then again, no-one knew about Agito until his battle.
Would they have to wait to see these strangers, too? Maybe not. Maybe, they
wouldn’t have to wait. Ikki’s arrogant attitude should provoke them to come out
of hiding. No-one had nerves that good.
Ringo sighed to herself.
What was she thinking? Just because they had some experience on ATs, she
couldn’t expect anybody to take on Ikki. He would laugh at them. Before or after
he beat them to a pulp, she wasn’t sure.
This sport had become
popular all around the world. Some countries had champions, and Ikki had yet to
make it to the big league. Why were strangers watching Ikki? Sure, he was good,
probably the best anyone had seen for a while, but was he good enough to take on
someone he knew nothing about?
Foreigners used
completely different tricks. Some soared in the air more than Ikki did, only to
be ripped down. If she remembered the Romanian AT tournament correctly, the
crowd favorite had been eliminated practically as soon as the battle began.
Ringo had seen footage of his previous wars. He seemed near on impossible to
beat, but one foreigner did it without breaking a sweat.
‘Hey, Ringo, you okay?’
Ikki couldn’t help but notice how quiet the girl had been.
‘Yeah. Ah, good win.’
Ringo walked on ahead with the other girls, still trying to figure out the two
strangers. Whoever they were, if they hurt her Ikki, she would kill them.
~
Karrad yawned, stretching
his hands above his head. He was bored, yet again, while his brother continued
on with his study of the leader of Kogarasumaru. It was a week later, and they
were going into another Parts War.
So far, all Salix had
been able to find in weaknesses was his overconfidence, which he had every right
to be. Karrad, on the other hand, would rather be down there, enjoying the
battle, rather than sitting off in the shadows, lazily skating around in a
circle.
Once again, Kogarasumaru
won, thanks to their leader pulling off another amazing trick. Salix closed his
notepad, tucking it into his back pocket of his jeans. He knew they would have
to leave then. One of the girls was suspicious about them. Salix wouldn’t allow
a confrontation to happen.
‘Karrad, maison.’
Salix turned; ready to leave when Karrad called out.
‘We have company…a lot of
it.’ Karrad back away, standing beside his brother in the dank alley.
Ringo lead the group over
to them. Stopping at the entrance of the alley, she placed a hand on her hip and
pointed at them with the other. Her eyes said she meant business.
‘You! Who are you?’
Ikki’s eyes trailed over
them, stopping at their feet. ‘Hey! They’re Riders, too!’ Ikki pushed past
everyone, stopping before the strangers. He reached out to take Karrad’s hand,
only to have Salix slap it away.
Karrad backed away a
little more, head lowered, allowing the hood to hide more of his face. He
didn’t like this person. And whoever he didn’t like usually ended up in
hospital. Karrad didn’t want that. This stranger seemed nice enough.
‘I’m Salix Pierre. This
is my younger brother, Karrad.’ Salix’s blue eyes hardened as he looked the
group over.
‘Pierre?’ Ringo tilted
her head to the side.
Ume’s eyes lit up.
‘They’re Riders! The French Champions. From, um…’
‘They’re the main members
of Abattage de loup Blanc,’ Mikan said, eyeing the two males before her. ‘I
don’t know what it means. I just remember it because it was the most exotic name
in the German tournament.’
‘It means, well, meant to
mean, White Wolf Slaughter.’ Salix narrowed his eyes, as a strange smile came
over his face.
Ikki raised an eyebrow.
‘That’s a little arrogant, don’t ya think?’
‘We’re the defending
champions of seven countries. What have you got? Seven emblems?’
Ikki gritted his teeth.
How dare this punk give him lip? ‘Wow. Seven countries! I could probably beat
you idiots in my sleep!’ He looked around Salix at Karrad. ‘Hey, why’s he
wearing that?’
Salix glanced over his
shoulder at Karrad, snapping his fingers. Karrad lowered the hood, smiling
brightly at the group, even when they did gasp. He wasn’t ashamed of the scars
across his nose, cheeks and forehead.
‘What are you?!’ Ikki
shouted backing away, arms raised. ‘A bondage freak?’
Karrad stopped smiling,
opening his eyes. ‘No. I just had some trouble when I first started out on ATs.’
Salix turned his eyes to
Akito. ‘You’re Akito, right? Rumors of your brutality traveled. Well, rumors of
your counterpart’s brutality, anyway. You and Karrad have a fair bit in common.’
Salix raised his eyes to Ikki. ‘Still think you can defeat my baby brother in
your sleep?’
‘Tch. Just because he
defeated a few people doesn’t mean he can’t be beaten, himself. It might not be
a walk in the park, but I can do it.’ Ikki grinned like a fool, flexing his
biceps.
Ringo looked worried.
What was that moron thinking? Was he even thinking at all? She opened her mouth
to say something, but thought against it. Perhaps he could beat this person.
Even champions have their Achilles Heel. All they need to do was find Karrad’s.
Salix gave a sadistic
grin, which got Ikki’s attention. ‘Very well. Since we’re not a team, per se,
we’ll just have a normal race. One-on-one. The winner will be victorious, as
usual. The loser –
‘Yeah, we know,’ Ikki cut
in. ‘The loser has to give up ATs. Seriously, can’t people think of something
new?’
‘Actually, I was going to
say the loser has to pay their own medical bills.’
Ikki frowned. ‘What?
You’re so sure I’m going to lose? That kid couldn’t fight off a butterfly.’
Salix snapped his fingers
again. ‘Karrad. Is he ready?’
‘Extremely. He’s
wanted to take down this guy since we first watched them.’ Karrad lowered his
eyes. What was Salix getting him into, now?
‘Very well.’ Salix skated
forward, everyone parting to let him through. He was going to do the same thing
that happened when Kogarasumaru took on the Sable Tigers. Just a simple race
along a fence. ‘That chain link fence is the course.’
Ringo frowned. What was
this guy doing? Ikki can easily win along that. He’s done it before. And judging
by the fact Karrad was wearing a floor length cloak; Ikki almost had this one in
the bag. Some people had too much confidence, Ikki included.
Karrad chewed his lower
lip nervously. Was he going to get hurt? Was Ikki going to get hurt? Was a
bystander going to get hurt? Karrad knew he had not control over him once
he was released. He didn’t want anything bad to happen.
‘Does everyone agree on
the terms that have been set out?’ Salix looked around at the group.
‘How good are these
guys?’ Kazu whispered to Ringo.
‘Extremely. If they were
a team here, they would be A-class without question. In the tournaments, no-one
could get close enough to make an effective strategy. He’s fast, but more
importantly, he’s dangerous. I’ve only seen one of his battles. Within seconds,
the Romanian champion was down and out of the war. Apparently he’s still in the
hospital and won’t ever ride again.’ Ringo stared at Ikki. She hoped he knew
what he was going.
Ume nodded. ‘I only saw
him go against the British champion. He was scary fast. As far as anyone could
tell, it was the wind attacking the other Rider. Even when the tape was slowed
down, they couldn’t get a good enough shot of him.’
‘And Ikki’s going against
him?!’ Kazu couldn’t believe it. ‘Ikki, you have to reconsider! You –’
Ringo placed a hand over
Kazu’s mouth. ‘He can still win this. No-one has been able to touch him, yet.’
Kazu jerked his head
back. ‘Its suicide, Ringo!’
‘No. I believe Ikki can
do this. He doesn’t need to be told what he can’t do, but what he can do,
Kazu.’ She glared at the blonde. ‘He needs friends, not an audience that’s in
favor to the home team.’
Kazu knew what Ringo
meant. He still couldn’t get the image of Ikki not being able to ride again out
of his head. He didn’t want to visit his friend in a hospital. He gazed into
Ringo’s eyes, seeing determination in them. He had a feeling she knew something
none of them did.
‘Terms accepted. Now,
let’s see what a seven country champion can do.’ Ikki skated up to the beginning
of the fence line, grinning to himself. If he beat the champion, he’s reputation
would become even better.
Salix turned to his
brother, who looked as worried as Ringo. He smiled reassuringly at the kid.
‘You’ll be fine, Karrad.’ He gave Karrad a quick hug. ‘Lé wolf,’ he muttered
into an ear.
Ikki glanced up when he
was joined, staring at the person who stood beside him. The cloak was gone. Now,
he faced a five foot three teen clad in PVC pants, with three quarters of the
thigh missing with buckles holding the top and bottom together and littered in
chains. A fishnet shirt with strips of PVC laced through it and more chains. Now
he could see the ATs better. They weren’t tied with laces, but chained around
the ankle. The padlock glinted in the moonlight. Petrol colored eyes now shone
with malice. The face twisted with an unusual emotion.
‘Prepare to be
annihilated.’ Karrad smirked, turning his attention to the fence.

flamed beyond all reason, but hey, I don’t really care. As I said, it was just
an idea that I’ve been kicking around. If you don’t like it, don’t review or
