Atobe Keigo sat at his outdoor veranda reading a Tennis Monthly. It was July 23rd, and Summer break was just starting. Already, however, Atobe found himself seeking a new challenge in his favorite sport. He was reading the magazine in the hopes that he may find something worth his time.
His eyes stopped at a paragraph about a school in Bunkyo called Ouran Academy. In the article, the writer had the gall to compare that tennis club with Atobe’s own! Surely they weren’t as good as Hyoutei. Bunkyo was in the Kantou region, so he didn’t know why, if they were so great, they hadn’t been seen in the Kantou Tournament. As he read down the page, he found out that the benefactors of Ouran have seen it as a conflict of interest to compete in public tournaments. How utterly appalling. How were they to better themselves as a team without breaking out of the private circuit? His mind began to wander. He ran his thoughts by Kabaji who was, as usual, silent.
If he could get the best players that he had seen in the Kantou region, he could show these people what real tennis was all about. How could they possibly be good enough to beat the greatest from all over Kantou, yet not take part in the tournament that changed the lives of many of the greatest players in the area? Atobe Keigo was angry. In fact, it was irritating to know that Ouran Academy thought they were better than him, when obviously they weren’t.
“I am going to get a match set up, Kabaji, and Ouran will find out just what real Kantou tennis is all about.
“Usu.” Kabaji replied, like he always did.
Atobe crumpled up the magazine and threw it into the pool.
~*~*~*~*~*
“Ouran huh? That is the school of one Ootori Kyouya.” Mizuki Hajime, currently crouched in the bushes on the other side of the fence surrounding the Atobe estate, said to himself. He had been idly passing by when he happened upon Atobe Keigo seemingly talking to himself. He had stealthily hidden himself in the shrubs that lined the tall brick partition between him and the Atobe heir.
Even though Ootori Kyouya wasn’t on the tennis team, Mizuki had seen him once while visiting his cousin at Ouran. Kyouya had been standing next to some blonde idiot, and was writing in a notebook. His black hair swept across his perfect face. His dark eyes gazing intently down on the facts he was gathering. Mizuki had stopped dead and been instantly captivated by the older boy.
“Hajime-kun, we need to finish the tour.” His cousin had said.
“Who is that guy, writing in the notebook?” Mizuki had asked her then.
“Oh, that’s Ootori Kyouya, why do you ask?”
“No reason.” Mizuki replied, prying his eyes off the other teen and following his cousin down the sidewalk.
“He is rather stuck up, but nice on the eyes.” She said, giving him a knowing smile. “Don’t you agree, Hajime-kun?”
“Quite.” Mizuki had replied honestly. Not like his sexual preference was a big secret to his family. He had been quite open with them all in that aspect. His cousins, this one in particular liked to try to make fun of him for it, but he was far too cultured to let something like that bother him.
He looked her straight on now, not breaking eye contact. He wanted her to see just how unbothered he was. She finally looked away, as the smug smile slid from her mouth. Mizuki let a smirk curl the corners of his own as he mentally jotted one point down for himself.

“Why hello there, Hajime-kun.” She said, after her cell phone had rung. “It is good to speak to you as well.”
She began to smile as he spoke, and a plan of her own formulated in her mind. “Yes, Hajime-kun, I would be happy to help you out. I will have mother arrange the paperwork.”
As she ended the call she felt like laughing.
“Suou Tamaki is going to feel so stupid, and that is what that damn Host Club gets for making a fool of me!”
*-*-*-*
A few days later-
*-*-*-*
Ootori Kyouya answered his phone on the second ring.
“Mother!” The overly excited voice of his friend yelled.
“Yes, Father?” Kyouya replied calmly, as usual playing into the nicknames from the Host Club.
“Is it true that we have been asked by another school to come and set up a host club?”
“Yes, as a matter of fact, it is.” Kyouya said, pulling the phone away from his ear, as he knew what was going to be coming next.
“REALLY?” Suou Tamaki screamed into the receiver. “I knew that our goal of bringing happiness to ladies would spread all over Japan, and soon all over the WORLD!”
“So does that mean you would like to travel to Hyoutei and check things out?”
“You better believe we are going!” Tamaki yelled. “I will call Haruhi, and you call everyone else!” There was a click and the phone went dead.
Kyouya cycled through his contact list. First thing first, Hitachiin twins. This was bound to be fun.
“Hello? Kyouya?” Hitachiin Kaoru answered cheerfully.
“Kaoru, we need you back here.” Kyouya said, just wanting to get down to business. “We are going to a school called Hyoutei to help them create a host club there.”
“Oh, really?” Kaoru asked interestedly. Kyouya was extremely glad that he had called Kaoru and not Hikaru. He could hear the other brother yelling for Kaoru to get off the phone.
“Yes, when do you think you can be back?”
“We can be back tomorrow, if we need to.”
There was a sudden shuffling in Kyouya’s ear as Hikaru fought for the phone.
“Hey Shadow-king, you cant just ask us to cut this vacation short!” Hikaru yelled into the phone. “We haven’t been to the states in years!”
“Hikaru, I assure you that you will be back to New York in no time.” Kyouya said, although he had no idea if that was the truth. It didn’t matter though, he just needed to get them here.
“I don’t like it, Kyouya. I don’t believe you.” Hikaru said, though he passed the phone back to his twin.
“We will catch the next flight out.” Kaoru said.
“I will send one of my family’s jets.” Kyouya suggested.
“Whatever.” Kaoru said. Kyouya could hear the shrug in his voice. “Call me with when and where,” he said, and hung up.

“You shouldn’t have your cell phone on in the temple, Mitsukuni.” Morinozuka Takashi, also known as Mori, said to his cousin.
“Aww, Takashi!” Haninozuka Mitsukuni, called ’Hunny’ pouted as he answered his cell.
“Kyouya!” Hunny shrieked, bringing stares from all around the pair. Mori looked slightly pink tinged, but kept his composure. As always.
“We need you home now, Hunny-senpai.” Kyouya said.
“Aww, but we just got into the temple!” Hunny protested.
“Well, we need you home by tomorrow afternoon.” Kyouya said sternly, understanding this was how to deal with the loli-shota type. “You can finish your stay in the temple, and see whatever else in the place you want to see, but be here tomorrow.”
“Fine, Kyouya.” Hunny pouted. “We will be back tomorrow.”
“Thank you.”
“Mehhhh” Hunny said into the phone. Kyouya smiled slightly knowing his senpai was sticking out his tongue despite the fact that Kyouya couldn’t see him.
They hung up and Hunny looked up at his younger cousin.
“Takashi!” The blonde wailed, grabbing on to his cousin’s leg. “We have to go home!”
“It will be alright, Mitsukuni.” Mori said comfortingly.
“But we just got inside the temple!”
“We can always come back.” Mori reassured his cousin as they walked out of line and exited the building.
The sun beat down on them as they walked out. They made their way to the entrance to the park and as they were walking out, Hunny stopped, turned around and began to cry.
“Goodbye Disneyland Paris!” He sobbed. “I will see you again soon, Temple of Peril! I will get to ride you next time!”
“Let’s go, Mitsukuni.” Mori said, putting a hand on his cousin’s shoulder.
“Ok, Takashi.” Hunny replied, wiping his eyes on his shirt. “Let’s go home.”

The next day
*-*-*-*
Kyouya stood outside Fujioka Haruhi’s humble dwelling waiting for everyone else. They had decided to meet here after Tamaki insisted that his daughter not have to walk somewhere else. Haruhi herself had yet to agree to come along, but she would come around before they had to be off.
The Hitachiin twins’ limo pulled up and they got out. As the car drove away, Hikaru looked up at the building and shuddered.
“How can anyone live here?” Hikaru asked.
“I don’t know.” Kaoru answered, shaking his head.
At that moment Hunny’s head appeared at the crest of the hill. A second later it was followed by Mori’s. Hunny was perched on his shoulders, and he was smiling as they walked up.
“Good morning.” Mori said as they stopped.
“Yo.” Kaoru said, raising a hand.
“Where is the Lord?” Hikaru asked, looking up the road. “And Haruhi?”
“I will call Haruhi now, and let her know we are here.” Kyouya said, pulling out his phone and walking away from the group.
“Ah, and here comes Tamaki!” Hunny said, squinting his eyes against the morning sun.
Kyouya walked back to the group and looked up to the apartment. Sure enough he could see Haruhi standing at the window looking harassed. She said she would come down in a few minutes, telling Kyouya she had planned on coming all along.
“Where is my daughter?” Tamaki asked, looking behind the twins, as if they were hiding her.”
“She is coming in a minute.” Kyouya replied. “Would you like to tell everyone what we will be doing when we get there?”
“Yes, Mother.” Tamaki said. “That is a good idea.” He suddenly looked much more professional. Haruhi walked out just then.
“We are going to Hyoutei Gakuen to set up a Host Club for the well to do ladies there.” He explained. “Atobe Keigo will have accommodations for us once we get there. I am not sure how long we will be staying, but we must spread our knowledge to the world!”
That being said, they piled into the waiting bus. It wasn’t too far of a drive, but they figured they would just stay there until they were done, because Tamaki figured it would be intense training and they may need 24 hour mental and emotional support from the experts.

The meeting
*-*-*-*
The bus pulled up in the entranceway. Atobe and the rest of the Hyoutei tennis team stood waiting. It squealed to a halt in front of them, and the doors slid open.
The first person to step off was a guy with black hair and glasses holding a notebook. Atobe appraised him as he stood gazing at them. He was handsome. Not like Atobe himself, but very good looking. He resembled Tezuka Kunimitsu as a matter of fact. Interesting…very interesting.
The next to exit were a set of twins. The most identical twins Atobe had ever seen. He would bet they were a dynamite doubles pair. The shared a grin that almost sent a shiver through him. What the hell was that all about?
Then came a short brown haired guy. Not too much different in size and build than Echizen Ryoma. He had the same infuriatingly bored look on his face as well. Peh. Echizen would wipe that look right off this guy’s face.
Next was a very tall, dark haired ogre with a tiny blonde child attached to his leg. ‘Another doubles pair.’ Atobe thought to himself. It was pretty easy to tell who played where. Obviously the twins were doubles 1, and this odd pair was doubles 2. The small guy was singles 3, the attractive guy was most likely singles 1. Where was the other teammate?
Then he came out. A blonde in sunglasses. He was carrying a bag over his shoulder. He was so dedicated, he carried his tennis gear on the bus!
Atobe tried to clear the awe from his face as he walked forward to introduce himself and his teammates.
“My name is Atobe Keigo.” He said graciously to the bespectacled brunette. “And this is my team.” He pointed to each person as he said their name.
“Shishido Ryou, Ootori Choutarou, Hiyoshi Wakashi, Kabaji Munehiro, Mukahi Gakuto, Oshitari Yuushi and Akutagawa Jirou. This is the Hyoutei Tennis Team.”
Kyouya came forward and shook his hand, then in turn he pointed and named each person.
“Fujioka Haruhi, Hitachiin Hikaru, Hitachiin Kaoru, Suou Tamaki, Haninozuka Mitsukuni, or as we call him, Hunny, Morinozuka Takashi, who we call Mori, and myself, Ootori Kyouya. We are Ouran’s Host Club, thank you for inviting us here.”
“Please, make yourself at home…”Atobe cut off. “Wait, did you say…host club?”

Ok.. So first things first.. I know that Ouran is a high school and Hyoutei is Junior high, but since this isn’t a school sanctioned event, I figured it wouldn’t matter…it isn’t like Hyoutei (or Atobe more like) doesn’t think they are worthy of a high school team right?
