Alternate from Pokemón Diamond and Pearl (Ill-Will Hunting)
[Announcer]
Just as our heroes get to the foot of Mt. Coronet, our heroes encounter a rare pokemon
“Whoa! What’s that?”
“That’s a Shieldon Ash. This is truly a rare sight Dawn.”
“Wow! I’ve never seen anything like it! Let me check it out!” Just as Dawn drew out her pokedéx, a familiar car makes it way to their area. And that car, belongs to none other than PokeHunter J and her goons. As Hunter J comes out in her Salamence, A huge lightning attack distracts the PokeHunter.
“Who did that?”
“Ash! Everyone! Come quick!” Ash looked to his side to see Gary with his Electivire, and Ash quickly ran to Gary’s side carrying the Shieldon along with him with Brock and Dawn following closely behind. Although Ash is happy to see Gary, the time to celebrate is not now. So the group runs towards a hidden cave covered by a nearby bush.
“We’ll be safe here for now, I think.”
“Gary! I’ve missed you!” With the outburst, Ash gave Gary a hug that Brock completely understood and left Dawn confused.
“Haha. I guess you’re wondering about those two.”
“Kind of, I mean I’ve never seen Ash so touchy, unless it’s about pokemón.”
“Well, to make a long story short, Gary is Ash’s boyfriend.”
“Boyfriend?! Really?! Wow! I always thought that you and Ash had something like that!”
“Don’t be silly!” As Brock said that, a huge presence seemed to loom over him as he looked back to where Gary and Ash were. Gary was hugging Ash close to his chest while glaring a death threat to Brock, seemingly saying ‘Touch him and DIE.’
“Brock, are you okay? You seem nervous?”
“It’s nothing.” [sigh!]
To break the sudden silence, Ash quickly asked, “So what are we going to do about the hunters?”
“There’s nothing we can do but go around them instead.”
“But how Gary?” Dawn asked.
“I say we just go straight through and-”
“No Ash! That’s way too reckless! Think about the Shieldon we need to protect! We need to go around this time around okay?” As Gary explained the route that he plans to take he failed to notice the sullen look that suddenly overtook Ash’s face. While the rest of the plans are instructed to the group, Ash could only listen to them half-heartedly as Gary’s voice that used to soothe him seems to further break his heart.
“Everyone understand? We leave as soon as the guards clear this area and we head to the mountains, this way, we’ll be able to make a clean break without the need for confrontation.” Everyone nodded their heads in a silent agreement. “Well, I better call Prof. Birch and Prof. Rowan to tell them that the rendezvous point has changed.”
--------Meanwhile--------
“Ma’am, we traced an outside call from somewhere around this area.”
“Good, patch through the line, let’s see who they are talking to.”
“This is Prof. Rowan! Gary, how are you doing? Are the Shieldons alright?”
“Yes Prof. but we need to change our rendezvous point. I’ll send you the map.”
“Very well, I’ll bring officer Jenny along as well. Good Luck!”
As the conversation ended, Hunter J devised a plan of her own. “Recall the troops from that area and send them to the rendezvous point, make sure they stay out of sight until I call them. Understood!”
“Yes, Ma’am”
--------Back with the Gang--------
“Guys! I think they’re leaving!” Dawn exclaimed. This is the chance they were looking for. So they headed out to the meeting point in a quiet parade. It took a while before they got through the mountain range to the other side but they did not expect to see Hunter J waiting for them with her Salamence and Drapion ready for battle.
“Took you a while to get here. I was afraid that the cliffs might have gotten to you and I wouldn’t get a chance to get those Shieldons.”
“Gary! Listen to me! I want you to take everyone and leave me now. I’ll delay them as long as I can so go!”
“But Ash! That’s way too risky! I’ll battle along side of you.”
“No! Just go! I know I can do this! Take Everyone with you Gary. I’m trusting you!”
“Well, look at this! A little runt thinks he can stand up to me!”
“I know I can defeat you! Now everyone just go!” With a heavy heart, Gary left Ash behind to get the Pokémon to safety but he vowed to return to help Ash as soon as he can.
