Kuragari: ok, so this is a challenge response to a TaixMatt fic I'm sorry I don't remember who issued it… this is really just the teaser so it’s a little short. Hopefully I’ll have more out soon. Let me know what you think.

Tai just grabbed the broken body and allowed Garurumon to run for the portal. Greymon and the other digidestined could handle themselves until he made it back to the real world. As Garurumon ran Tai clung desperately to the body in his arms, praying as hard as he could that there would be life in the boy when they reached their destination.

A month. A whole fucking month! Why had it taken them so long to find him? How could he have let this happen?

Tai’s thoughts weren’t looking much brighter when they finally came to the portal. He leapt from the back of his best friend’s digimon and gently pulled the broken body into his arms.

“Go back and help the others,” he told the large wolf. “I’ll get him to Joe.”

Garurumon nodded, knowing that the boy was in good hands, and headed back to battle.

Once he reached the other side with his precious cargo, Tai immediately called out to Joe.

“We’ve got him! He’s hurt pretty badly!”

Joe didn’t hesitate and leapt forward to help Tai settle the broken body onto the classroom floor.

“He’s in bad shape, Tai,” Joe started, looking over the unconscious boy.

“You can help him, can’t you?” Tai pleaded urgently, nearly yelling in his panic.

“Yes, I think I can, but Tai you’re going to have to calm down,” Joe said sternly, rolling up his sleeves. “I have to get my bag, I’ll be back as fast as I can.”

“Hurry,” Tai called after the blue-haired boy before turning back to the blonde still in his arms. Tai quickly tore off his school jacket and used it as a pillow for the blonde head as he settled the boy back onto the floor.

“Hang in there, Matt,” he pleaded desperately with his best friend, brushing a dirty lock of gold from the too-pale face. “I just got you back, don’t make me lose you again. Just hold on.”

Kuragari: Don’t worry, it’ll be explained more than this. Please let me know what you think! Thanks!
