1: Confusion
A/N: Contains *slight* spoilers for the doujinshi 'Panda'. I'm using the basic theme of that story and the last page as the inspiration for this. All you need to know is that Tatsuha and Tohma rape Yuki and video-tape it before sending it to Shuuichi...or at least that was my take of the whole thing.
Also, ALL I know of the fandom comes from fanfic, so please be easy on me.
Enough of my notes...onto the story!
~*~*~*~*~
He was curled up on his bed, eyes dull and listless as he stared at the wall. He couldn't believe they actually videotaped it and sent it to Shuuichi. Shuuichi was his life-line, the only reason he hasn't descended in pure madness. Shuuichi woke him up out of the darkness his life had fallen in and now...now there was a very good chance he was about to lose that light.
Hearing the front door open, Yuki Eiri closed his eyes, not wanting to see Shuuichi's well-deserved anger. As innocent as his lover was, Yuki had no expectations that Shuuichi saw it as anything but rape. After all, he was willing...at first, despite having promised his lover to stay faithful. However, the darkness overwhelmed him when Shuuichi wasn't home...and it disappeared once he had been used, however roughly.
Hearing footsteps coming closer, Yuki froze, breathing becoming shallow. He hoped, prayed Shuuichi thought he was asleep, prayed he wouldn't notice that he was indeed awake as he left. Relaxing in increments as he heard Shuuichi opening and shutting drawers, Yuki's mind screamed at him. Shuuichi was leaving for good...Shuuichi was never coming back. He flinched mentally as he heard the zipper of a duffel bag coming undone and clothes being dumped out.
"Gods damn it," cursed Shuuichi lowly, near quietly as he ran into the dresser. Confusion began to enter Yuki's mind. What exactly was his lover doing? Or was it ex-lover now? It didn't sound as if Shuuichi was packing up to leave, but he's been wrong before. Ready to get up and confront Shuuichi, not wanting a long, drawn out break-up, Yuki blinked as Shuuichi walked out of the bedroom, shutting the door silently behind him. Sitting up slowly, exhaustion pulling at him, Yuki stared at the mess in front of his dresser. Shuuichi's dirty clothes had been thrown in the hamper, his ever-present pocky still ontop of the nightstand with two new boxes of strawberry, and the duffel bag tossed haphazardly into an out of the way corner.
Hearing the stereo turn on, Yuki slowly stood up, wrapping the sheet around him as he opened the door silently. Eyes curiously blank, he watched as Shuuichi began to clean up the kitchen and living room, something Yuki let go since his return home two days ago. After what Tatsuha and Tohma put him through, nothing seemed important anymore. As a Bad Luck song came on, Shuuichi turned around with a grin, mouth open to sing along at the same time he spotted Yuki.
A soft smile graced Shuuichi's face as he walked towards Yuki, every movement slow and purposeful. Seeing the tenseness in Yuki's body, Shuuichi just gently reached for Yuki's hand and led him to the couch. "Sit," he murmured. "I've got dinner covered." A soft kiss to Yuki's forehead and Shuuichi headed back into the kitchen, violet eyes abnormally devoid of anything but warmth and love.
Yuki just watched as Shuuichi easily put together a chicken stir fry, movements sure and graceful. Since when could his lover cook so well? What exactly was going on here? Every second Shuuichi ignored him was a second that had Yuki torn beween exploding in rage at Shuuichi's calmness or bursting out into tears and begging for forgiveness.
"My cousin wants to meet you," said Shuuichi as he began to clean up, allowing the stir-fry to simmer on the stove top. Yuki blinked at the non sequitor, head cocked to one side. "She's getting married in a couple weeks and we're invited if you want to go with me." He grinned sheepishly. "I sorta forgot it was coming up or I'd've mentioned it sooner."
"I'll go," said Yuki slowly, voice hoarse from disuse. Shuuichi frowned at that before he grabbed an empty glass and filled it with water.
"Drink," Shuuichi ordered, placing the glass in Yuki's hands. Yuki began to drink the water automatically, blue eyes focused on violet. Once finished, Shuuichi took it and put the empty glass in the sink before stiring the stir-fry and taking it off the stove. Dishing it out, he placed one bowl in front of Yuki and took the other for himself. "Eat. You need it."
"Are you leaving or not?" asked Yuki, eyes on the food. It looked delicious but his stomach was in knots, waiting for the agonizing answer of Shuuichi's departure.
"No, I'm not leaving," said Shuuichi calmly, understanding in his tone. "We'll talk Yuki, but you need to heal first." Unspoken was the promise that Shuuichi wasn't going to leave. Yuki eyed Shuuichi warily but began to eat, his nerves calming for the first time in nearly three days.

Violet eyes narrowed as the bedroom door shut behind Yuki. He finally got Yuki to eat, probably for the first time in days if the listlessness told him anything. Growling lowly at the thought of his lover's rape, Shuuichi stalked over to the phone, his eyes blazing. Hearing a lightbulb shatter, Shuuichi whirled and reached out with his mind, barely catching all the shards of the glass before they fell. Sighing in relief, for Yuki'll kill him if there's glass on the floor, Shuuichi dumped the shards into the trash can and hung the phone up. He can't call the Queen until and when he got his temper subdued. He was too angry to be coherent enough to plead his case before Her.
Hearing his cell phone ring, Shuuichi absently reached out with his mind again, lifted the phone, and watched as it floated towards him.
"Moshi-moshi," said Shuuichi as he answered the call. He knew who it was from, his mother. Nickelback's "Believe It or Not" only played when she called.
//Explain to me why I am feeling your Rage my son.// Arisa Shindou said calmly, her voice lifting slightly with a note of curiousness.
"I need a vacation," lied Shuuichi slightly. He knew Arisa would know he lied, but she wouldn't come out and ask until he told her the truth.
//Amelia is marrying her Mate next week,// said Arisa slowly, her voice telling of her absentness. She was no doubt thinking up a plan. //Why not come early, and bring this lover of yours?//
"He doesn't know Mother," said Shuuichi, eyes on the bedroom door. He could vaguely hear Yuki sleeping through the door. He didn't want this sprung on his lover. That would do more harm then good.
//And why not?// asked Arisa, voice chiding. //You told me he is your Potential.//
"Am not quite sure how to tell," said Shuuichi with a wince. It wasn't like he could come out and say he was a Vampyre. Yuki'd never believe him or worse, laugh him out of the house. "It's not a normal topic of conversation Mother."
//True,// mused Arisa. //Legends and myths have made the Vampyre nothing more than a child's monster.//
"Yet you like the Blade movies," drawled Shuuichi amused.
//I will neither confirm nor deny,// said Arisa with a laugh. //Come home Shuuichi. Bring this Yuki of yours. We shall explain before Amelia's wedding.//
"America or Germany?" asked Shuuichi curious.
//America,// said Arisa. //Amelia is living in St. Louis studying to be a doctor for the Clans. Her Mate is working on his Masters in Education. Apparently they met at the university library.//
"We'll be there in a couple days," said Shuuichi with a grin. "I'm going to have to Shift as it is to make it."
//The Parlor if you would please,// said Arisa. //Call me ahead of time and I will meet you there.//
"Of course Mother," said Shuuichi as he leaned against the counter. "I must go, Yuki's about to Descend."
//Do be careful, the Dream Weavers love to torment,// warned Arisa. //Good-bye my son, I will see you in a few days.// They hung up at the same time, Shuuichi tossing the cell phone onto the couch before striding into his bedroom, intent on keeping Yuki's dreams pleasant.

A/N: EVERYTHING will eventually be explained in later chapters, so if you don't understand something...don't worry. I will explain eventually.
Hmm...well, should I or should I not continue?
