Shuichi Shindou; lead singer of the popular Japanese band Bad Luck bounced into the huge, lavish apartment he shared with husband and novelist Eiri Yuki and thier adopted son Riku.
“Mommy!” Seven year old Riku launched himself excitedly at his adopted “mommy” latching onto the pink haired young man’s left leg.
“Hey Riku-kun.” Shuichi greeted the boy warmly scooping him up and hugging him close.
“Eiri-san has a baby.” Riku chirped innocently but Shuichi froze, his startled violet eyes meeting Eiri’s shocked and slightly apologetic eyes as his older husband entered the room.
“Riku..go play.” Shuichi told the child who obediantly scampered off. Shuichi faced Eiri confused now.
“Please explain.” He requested.
“Look..before I even met you. I slept with one of my old critics..I slept with her a lot. And then we had a fight and she moved to America almost four years ago. I guess..she had a kid and recently died. The kid..my daughter I guess is all alone now.” Eiri said cooly feeling very nervous. He was happy that his and Shuichi’s lives had finally settled down and he was also angry that he was afraid his husband would leave him.
“How old is she? Your daughter?”
“Three and a half years old.”
Shuichi was quiet as he thought of how lonely and afraid the little girl must be and he took a deep breath.
“We will bring her..your daughter here to live with us.” He decided.
“Your not mad?”
“I..guess not. And besides she is just a child. I will help you raise her.”
“Maybe us bringing her up..is a bad idea.” Eiri said and Shu smiled up at him knowingly.
“You disliked Riku at first and now look how great you are with HIM.” He pointed out.
SCENE CHANGE
“We dare yet?”
Eiri’s hands tightened on the steering wheel of his mercedes as the tiny question was asked once again. Shuichi giggled turning in his seat to make a funny face at Aya..Eiri’s little daughter.
"Are you bored Aya-chan?" Shu asked
"Bored!!" Aya cheered happily squirming in her carseat
"And I'M annoyed." Eiri ground out.
"Aww..it's ok Eiri." Shuichi said sweetly leaning his head against his husband's shoulder. Eiri felt himself relax at his love's tender touch.
"Bored bored bored!!" Aya cheered repeatedly.
"We'll be home soon Sweetie." Shuichi said reasuringly. Aya's adorable face screwed up as she began to cry and kick against her carseat.
"What is wrong with he!?" Eiri cried almost swerving in surprise.
"Pull over Eiri." Shuichi said and his husband obeyed. Shuichi crawled into the backseat beside the little girl and made a funny face. Aya giggled her tears now drying quickly as she reached out grabbing Shuichi's pink hair and yanking.
"Itai!" Shuichi cried out in pain. Eiri chuckled receiving a dark look from his husband as Shu tried to free his abused hair from the little girl. Aya laughed and yanked harder bringing tears to Shuichi's eyes.
"Shu Shu cry?" Aya asked sounding unhappy. She released his hair and looked sad. Shuichi smiled despite the pain in his scalp and leaned foreword to nuzzle Aya's cheek receiving a laugh.
