“Ace! Pssst! ACE!”
Ace groaned as he moved under the blankets. His body felt like it weighed a ton…and he was pretty sure he had a light fever. He was a little sweaty and still wearing yesterdays clothes and even his facemask meant to keep contamination to a minimum.
Had he ever had a cold this bad?
The face of his younger brother appeared next to him under the blanket.
“Luffy, get back…you’ll get infected.” Is what he said but his lack of energy and mask made it come out in a mumbly muffle. That in turn caused his brother to pull down the mask.
“What?”
Ace sighed. Too late. Any germs going to get on Luffy already had at this point.
“I told you I was sick Luffy…why are you here? I don’t want you to get it.”
“Ya! I know…but I figured the germs would bounce off! AND I should take care of you!”
“Mmm…I don’t know if I have enough energy for that.”
“I even got advice on how to get rid of your cold!”
Ace could only nod to his adorable brother.
“Let’s hear it.”
Luffy grinned widely and held up fingers as he ticked off his ideas.
“I could kiss you and make it better! Mommy style!”
Ace didn’t want to know who gave Luffy that advice.
“Or I could kiss you and then kiss someone else! Shanks said that transferring a cold was the quickest way to get rid of it! So how about I kiss you and pass it to him since he suggested it?!”
Ace idily wondered if Luffy just wanted to kiss Shanks.
“They both involve kissing me.”
“Yeah.”
“Don’t you have a problem with that?”
“No…Why? Do you not want to kiss me? We love each other, right? We should kiss.”
Ace blushed…or his fever got worse, he wasn’t sure.
“What am I going to do with you?” Ace sighed.
Luffy cocked his head to the side like it was obvious.
“Kiss me?”
