A Servants Love
f-: Alucard's head tilted back, eyes closing in the process. Shadows writhing and screaming as they swirled up his legs from the floor beneath him, His eyes opened once more as they reached his shoulders. Red fading away to darkness, he grinned manically as his bones cracked and shifted. His laughter soon erupted from his chest as blood poured from the tears in his flesh. Body transforming into something much larger, much more… gruesome. Finally as the giant mass of shadows grew to be about the size of a coach bus his head burst, pieces of flesh and gore falling away.shadows died away, leaving where once Alucard stood, a massive Hellhound in his place. Muzzle parting and jaws dripping with saliva he released a loud roar as he leaped into the air with a mighty push of his hind legs and as he was about to land on his soon to be meal... He was rudely awakened by a knock on the door. "....Come in Walter.."
o-: Integra's fingers bent together as she stared off into the open space of her office, lost in thought. At one moment her brow deepened, apparently at a stressful point, but slowly disappeared as she reached the light of her inner debate. Laying her hands palms down against the hard oak desk, she pushed herself away from her work area and stood up with innate determination and moved away from her mock throne and into the open area of her office. "A short walk outside will help me...", she trailed off openly. Sliding her hands into her coat pockets, she pulled out a small tin of cigars from within and placed one into her mouth, and shortly after biting off the end and lighting it, exited the room.
f-: It took only a few moments for Walter to explain to him Integra's demeanor of the day.Sighing softly to himself, it seemed it was up to him to be a pest and invoke some other emotion aside from boredom from her.Walter never did like it when Integra seemed restless, yet what was the steward to do? Cracking his neck sharply, he made his way upstairs towards Integra's office, only to meet her on the way."It emerges from it's coffin at last!" he quipped with a soft chuckle to her as he moved into her path.
o-: Her eyes narrowed slightly as she gazed at the man. Pulling the cigar from her lips, she held it to the side and blew out a slow trail of smoke before addressing him. "Hello Alucard. What matter of insanity have you come to sprout at me in this moment?" Integra placed the cigar back into her mouth and walked around him towards the stairs, gathering that he would either stay where he was and shout his answer, or continue on with her to continue his greeting.
f-: Surprisingly, Alucard phased back in front of her when she went down a few steps, hanging upside down."The usual and perhaps a bit more for today. Since I was awakened because of you I figured I might as well see what the emergency was." he tapped her cigar teasingly as he phased out of her face and waited at the bottom of the stairs for her. Removing his hat he ran his gloved hand through his long tendrils of hair to sweep them out of his eyes.
o-: Interga's face showed a faint shadow of confusion. "What emergency?", she asked, blowing out another puff of smoke as she walked closer to the vampire. A small light seemed to go off as Walter's face flashed in her mind. "Hmm...what did he say to you, Alucard?" Reaching the final step she turned off towards the main doors, stopping briefly to grab a coat from a closet nearby and rested it over her arm, then extinguished her cigar before putting it on. "I'm going for a walk outside. Join me if you like.", she purposed to taller being as she turned around to wait for his answer.
f-: Alucard finally walked beside her, his strides long and measured so that he was directly at her side."He told me you didn't seem like yourself today. That something seemed to be bothering you more so then usual and he told me I should keep you company. It must be bothering him greatly if he wants me to be near you more so then I normally am,especially since he knows how we get along commonly." he pushed his glasses up his nose with a single digit as he looked to her for a moment.
o-: "Ah", was the blond's only answer as she opened a door to the outside. Pulling her collar up to protect her neck from the cold weather, she waited briefly for Alucard and then set off down to the yard outside. "He has nothing to worry about. I was just pondering over somethings that have recently come to mind." Slowly her features softened as she looked up towards the night sky and silently studied the stars above her, continuing her walk onwards. "Alucard...have you ever wondered what would happen if I were to let the Hellsing lineage die with me?"
f-: Alucard sighed softly and looked down at his gloves. "I try not to think of it. On one hand I will be free or destroyed, On the other.." he shook his head and looked up at the sky as well, as though he forgot to finish his sentence. He removed his hat and made it disappear along with his glasses so he could see the sky's true colors and the stars above more clearly though at any moment his mood could change to a more psychotic one.
o-: "I tried not to think of it either, but lately it has been an idea harder to fight off", Integra confessed and lowered her head. "For several days it has plagued me, in fact." Letting a rare smile cross her face, as such a contradiction to her tone, she moved towards a bench and sat down, then looked over to study the features of her walking companion. "The paperwork has finally rotted my brain.", she stated, smile morphing into a smirk. "Or the lack of action lately has made my mind grow dull."
f- Alucard looked down at her once again, watching her face and studying it's features carefully, as though he was etching them into his memory for eons to come. How ironic it was that, that was in fact what he was doing. How strange for him of all creatures to actually feel so odd.. for the human who he called Master no less. Why wasn't he happy that he would someday be free if she let the bloodline die? "Hm." he moved to sit down beside her, giving her plenty of space though still close."It will sound ridiculous but I have some questions I have been meaning to ask you for some time"
o-: Integra crossed her left leg over her right and turned her head as she rested her hands in her lap. "Alright...", she consented him to begin, brows raising as she waited for his first question. "What are they?", she asked in return, then crossed her arms in front of her chest.
f-: Alucard looked back up at the sky until finally he closed his eyes and spoke."Of possible suitors, if you chose to bare a child and continue the bloodline, Who would you consider? One of the knights? Walter?" He would rather there be a child of Walter's running around then one of those fools offspring. He looked down at his lap for a moment, his hands folded neatly in them as he rested his left ankle on his right knee."There's another but I doubt you truly want me to ask."
o-: The woman closed her eyes as she fought the images of the men she was forced to call colleagues actually sharing her bed. "I'll never bare a child of those dimwitted bastards...And it would be a twisted event to even think of having such with Walter." Shaking her head to 'rid' herself of the images, she slowly opened her eyes once more. "I doubt I'll want to hear this other, but you have already purposed, so go ahead and say it."
f-: Alucard's lips actually turned into a slight frown as he spoke, looking out over the yard as though he was giving it all great thought. "Would you.. as foolish as it may seem, Ever consider myself as a possible suitor?" There it was. a Question that had bothered him for years.True he was a Vampire, He was psychotic but he would be a wise choice after all.Despite it wounding her pride and putting herself at risk, he could be a great father if he wanted.. and a great spouse as well."Before your tongue lashes as you were taught to and feel you must due to your pride, Really consider it Integra. My words may mean little to you but I offer them whole-heartedly to you that I would do my best as a father and spouse if only you so chose it." he got up with another sigh, keeping his back to her.
o-: Integra's mouth opened slightly in surprise, she could not find the words to reply to the No Life King's question. Tilting her head down, she raised a hand to her forehead and sighed deeply before attempting to reply. "You are not a tame enough being to become a spouse or father, Alucard. Could you actually reign your insanity to do so? I doubt...that it would be a possibility to train your nature into being so." Raising her head back up, she continued with a small note, "Aside from the blasphemy such a union would bare, would the child itself be able to rationally conduct the services of the Hellsing crest to the crown?
f-: Alucard looked over his shoulder at her, giving a soft smile. "You would be surprised at what I can do Master, as you have been before." he thought for a moment. "I believe the child would be able to do great things if only we raised it correctly." he turned to face her again, his eyes didn't shine so brightly now but he remained stoic."Committing the sin of unity between us could in the long run better the Hellsing Organization and you know it.Is it not better taking such a chance then letting your bloodline die?" he bent down on one knee in front of her closely, taking one of her hands in his.Kissing the back of it lightly, he closed his eyes for a moment, images of a family with her flashing through his mind before he stood again. "Don't rule me out Master. Please, that's all I ask of you." he began to phase away, but not before that look of longing and sorrow in his eyes could not be seen.
o-: Intergra's eyes followed Alucard as he kissed her hand, then as he stood up once more. "If...", she started, trailing off for a moment before continuing, "if that was a possibility, then I would have to agree. I will think of this, that is all I can promise for now." She nodded as if to enforce her point, then stood up and slid her hands back into her pockets, finding herself some what uncomfortable by the proposal, and even more so at her actually willingness to consider it. "Goodnight, Alucard.", she stated in a softer tone, and began to walk back towards the manor doors.
f-: Alucard appeared in her office, sitting in her chair knowing it would take her a few minutes to return if she even decided to return immediately. Sitting as she often did, he hung his head enough that his forehead was resting on the back of his hands and closed his eyes.Integra, how many creatures must I slay in your defense... he cut his thoughts short for a moment as he took a deep breath, For you to realize that you are why I fight. Not these runes nor this organization. He loathed his feelings for the little girl who had grown into the powerful woman he respected. He could only wait and hope that someday she would allow him the chance she promised to consider.
o-: Integra entered the manor once more and pulled herself free of her coat. Handing it off to a quiet maid who stood to her side, she looked towards the stairs and slowly lit another cigar before moving towards them. 'Why did I agree to his request?', she thought, still taken back by the easy acceptance she had given to it. 'Could I...', she trailed off as she reached the top of the staircase, her eyes growing wide. 'Could I actually agree to his proposal?' Shocked, she gripped the hand rail tightly. 'What does this mean? Have I become so comfortable to Alucard that...', stopping herself in mid thought, she decided to return to her office, thinking that perhaps when she came to her decision on the matter, it would be better to be seated before giving it to Alucard.
f-: Alucard actually had fallen asleep in that position. Having been especially tired over the passing weeks due to improper nutrition and feeding on his part. He just didn't feel like it anymore, which was quite the distress signal if only anyone knew it as something had to be wrong when he of all creatures didn't want to drink blood frequently. However, the odd part wasn't him falling asleep, it was the fact he was dreaming, and there on her desk were drops of blood that he was silently crying in his sleep.Inside his mind he watched as eternity continued on its way, Walter dying, Integra dying, Seras being killed or leaving. Leaving him alone for the rest of his years in the agonizing silence of the gradually decaying Manor he still defended..and the grave marker he visited so often.
o-: Not noticing the man at her desk as she entered her room, Integra extinguished the cigar in a tray by the door and slid her suit jacket off, wrapping it around her arm. Undoing the blue ribbon around her neck, and then the first button of her blouse, she continued on towards her desk, stopping a few feet short of the chair as she spotted the No Life King. 'Why is he...?' “Alucard.”, she called towards his form, hoping to get his attention with that alone. When he didn't stir, she came closer, back straight as she stood to his side. “Why are you in my seat? Is there--”, she stopped as she noticed wet spots on the desk. Running a gloved finger over the liquid, she lifted her hand, her brow furrowing as she clarified her suspicions. “What is the matter, Alucard?”
f-: Alucard didn't stir even after her last question to him was asked. His hair hanging like a veil down the sides of his face between his shoulders and hands.Another drop fell from his eye when in his mind he watched Integra's death, her pride never leaving her as she gracefully accepted her death even when she knew he could stop it. He could feel the clenching pain over his heart, a heaviness falling on it he had never felt before in all his unlife. Integra.. don't die.. he whispered in his mind to her until at last his lips moved and ever softly his voice whispered what he had in his dream. "Don't die.. please.." another drop falling from his concealed face onto the hard desk below.
o-: Integra's brow raised as she heard Alucard mumble softly to himself. "What?", she asked, leaning over slightly to view the vampire's face, but falling short. "Get out of my chair, Alucard.", she commanded and placed her hand on his shoulder, in a small attempt to wake him. Shaking him lightly, the blond master let out a sigh. "You have a room", she stated out loud, knowing that if he was truly asleep he wouldn't hear her. Giving up, but not dropping her hand from his shoulder, she turned her back towards the desk, and leaned against it, looking out the windows behind her.
f-: After a moment of Integra's hand being on his shoulder his eyes finally opened halfway, his eyes dull as he lifted his head. His expression showing that he was not fully conscious, as though he was still stuck partially in the other realm. Body moving seemingly on it's own, he got up from the chair and went towards the door, his eyes still half open and dulled to the point there was barely any color. He was making his way towards the kitchen. But Didn't make it. Falling onto both knees and then a moment later onto his face by the doors, a dagger phased into view in his back with a spell parchment wrapped around the hilt.
o- Integra, momentarily lost in her thoughts, was broken from them by her companion's movements. Smoothly she took her place back in her chair and pulled herself forward, only to be completely thrown into a state of shock as she heard a loud 'thud' near the door. Eyes registering the vampire falling to his knees, she jumped from her chair, but could not move any further as she watched his head fall to the floor. "Alucard!", she shouted and found her legs again as she rushed to his side. Kneeling beside him, she noticed the dagger in his back and instinctively gripped it. Anger fueling her efforts, she pulled it from his back quickly and tossed it to the floor. "Wh-Who...WHAT has happened!?", she stuttered, completely lost for words as the panic finally had a chance to set in, making the Hellsing heir's heart beat wildly in her chest.
f-: In his weakened state, the enemy in the other realm had timed his spell perfectly.Matters of the mind bothering Alucard to the point his body was suffering giving the enemy a great advantage, the Dagger sealing away a level of his power as on each of his gloves the Level 5 line on the gate turned black.Alucard's mind however was still trapped in the dream of Integra's death, causing him only to sink deeper into depression and further into the abyss of heartache in his head.Another part of the spell to keep Alucard weakened until another attack could be launched when he least expected it.The dagger however disappeared and the parchment burned into nothing but ashes on the floor, as Alucard's eyes stared forward into nothingness.
o-: Integra gently pushed Alucard's body over and hoisted his upper half into her lap, disregarding all protocols against such actions. Studying the raven-haired male's features, she gasped softly at the dried trails of blood from his opaque eyes. Fighting off the urge to shake his limp body, she instead shakingly brushed the hair from his face and began to check the rest of his person. "Wake up", she weakly commanded. "I, Integra Wingates Hellsing, command you to WAKE UP!", she shouted, her voice hitching soon after as she fought off the frustration building inside. Gripping his chin she shook his head lightly, then held it still. "Alucard...", she whispered, her breath catching several more times as she fought the hot tears welling up inside.
f-: Alucard did not awaken, instead, she was pulled into his mind though they remained physically in her office. There she would see herself dying from another persons view, Alucard kneeling beside her bed and as she closed her eyes, his hand gently resting on hers as he placed a kiss to her lips, more of those ruby tears falling from his eyes.Until in a swirl of darkness they were at her headstone, his eyes flaming with rage and heartache as he let out a monstrous roar of agony and hid his face in the palm of one large gloved hand which no longer bore runes. Sealing himself away into the chamber she had found him in with his coffin until at last he dried up once more. After a few minutes of being alone together Alucard's eyes fluttered slightly as she was returned to her own mind once more.
o-: The blond woman's body was still as she slowly comprehended the visions she had shared with the man in her lap. "I died?", she asked rhetorically. "And he was..." The tears she had tried to hold back spilled forth as she started to cry silently. Pulling off her gloves, she rested her hands on the sides of the vampire's face. "Did you ask me that question out of love, Alucard?", she whispered to the man below her. Lowering her head slightly, the tears continued to roll down her face. "Wake up so I can answer you, Count. Please..."
f-: Alucard was fighting so hard to answer her, since his eyes had fluttered he had returned to his body fully but still couldn't respond or move yet.Slowly color began to return to his eyes, that odd crimson touched with orange swirling around his pupil gradually once more. Finally his eyes closed, opening slowly a moment later as he stared up at her tiredly. "Heh.. so.. God sends angels even to the demons he abhors.." he spoke lowly to her as he looked up at her face, a weak hand moving upwards to brush away some of her tears with his thumb. He was slowly returning to 'normal' save for his energy anyways, but that would return once he was fed and up moving around again with any luck.
o-: Integra drew her lips tightly together and nodded, waiting her emotions to settle before speaking. "Hmm...are you alright now?", she asked, her hands sliding from his face to his shoulders. "There's paperwork to finish", she stated with a monotone voice, but could not fight off the soft smile that grew on her face as she looked down into his eyes. Then, slowly closing her eyes she straightened her posture once more, but did not remove her hands from Alucard's shoulders, even after she reopened them again. "How were you attacked? I will tell Walter to send the guards around to check now...", she asked, trying dodge the words she had on the tip of her tongue just moments before.
f-: Alucard's trademark smirk played across his lips but not with the strength it normally held. "I will be alright after I get something in my system." he tried to sit up but grimaced and laid still with a soft hiss. "I was attacked? Last I knew I was dreaming." he was apparently oblivious to the dagger and ever falling in the first place. "Is that why I am currently laying in your lap?." he shifted a bit with a grimace, taking a hand and resting it over hers on his shoulder."I remember hearing you asking me to wake up so you could answer me, that must have been what brought me back to my body fully."
o-: "You fell...", she informed him softly. Integra looked off towards the dark area where the knife should have laid, but could not find it. Taking a deep breath and releasing it slowly, she turned her head back towards Alucard's. "Before I do answer you, I need you to tell me something...when you were dreaming...was it of me, Alucard?" She forced herself to remain emotionless on the outside, her mind fighting against the response she would give him to his proposal after either his confirmation or denial to her question.
f-: Alucard blinked for a moment staring up at her before looking away ashamedly. "Yes. Although you might think it was in some perverted sense it was not." he doubted she would believe him, unknowing that she had seen what he had been dreaming. His eyes looked saddened as he didn't dare look up at his Master for once, glimpses of the dream flashing through his mind once more and without really thinking about it he tightened his hold on her hand ever so slightly. He tried to move again but pain etched itself across his back and lips making him stay still once more.
o-: Integra shook her head. "I saw nothing perverse in those dreams", she said quietly, and raised her free hand to direct his gaze back towards hers. "What I saw was incredibly sad. You should not dwell on losing something that is still very much here, and very much alive, count." Her fingers brushed against the side of his face as she let another smile appear. "If those dreams were true reflects of your feelings, and not just nightmares to disgust you, then I have been either a blind fool, or I suggest you remove yourself from my lap quickly, or you will truly feel the ache in your back as it meets the floor." Smirking, she took his up reached hand and turned her own to hold it gently.
f-: Alucard's eyes went wide when she said she had seen those dreams. "I suppose now you know why I don't think of what happens if you let the Hellsing heritage die." he gave her hand a gentle squeeze, as though to confirm that those dreams were in fact reflections of his feelings. Sitting up slowly off her lap, he didn't let go of her hand until she decided so. "I believe the only pain I care to feel is the normal pain in the ass you are Master." he laughed softly but it died away as he shook his head. "Even still when I am not dreaming currently, I feel this pain that seems determined not to leave..." he thought for a moment before he looked back to her almost in confusion." Its a pain I haven't felt before, like a weight is on my heart though it doesn't beat. It's not as severe now that I am not dreaming but still it aches."
o-: Integra slid back and began to stand. "You out of all people know what little I know of the human heart. You have lived years more than I, and yet you cannot identify what makes you feel certain ways? Can you remember what it is to love, Alucard? Because if not...", she said, letting go of his hand and stepping towards the phone on her desk. "I will regret ever saying 'yes' to your proposal." Then, in efforts to hide the blush that spread across her checks, she picked up the phone and dialed down towards the kitchen, facing herself away from the man behind her. "Walter? Please bring Alucard a glass to my office. Yes...yes, a bottle will be fine. No, I do not need anything now. Thank you." Hanging the phone up she turned back around to the demon on her office floor.
f-: Alucard's face held an expression of genuine shock. 'So it is love that I feel for her..' He smiled widely again as he got up and went to stand beside her. "I have not loved in a long time, that is why it feels so foreign to me. However it must be what makes this cold heart of mine beat each time I'm near you, even if I'm just being a pest." he chuckled and smiled softly to her as he leaned down to kiss her cheek lightly, making sure his fangs could not be felt. "Thank you Master. I am long since rusty in the ways of courting and I'll have to catch up on the modern times version of it, but I will do my best as always." he grinned widely, though now it was of happiness not psychosis as he hovered in the air.
o-: Integra's eyes stared forward as she felt the vampire's kiss on her cheek. 'I am not ready for this. I am not ready for this. I am--why on earth do I feel the need to giggle? Gods, I've turned myself in to a schoolgirl again within a span of an hour.', she grumbled inwardly. Then, as she caught the end of Alucard's confession, she nodded. "I never doubt that you would do anything but, Alucard." Slowly turning her head towards his own, she gestured to a chair with her un-gloved hands. "Sit down. There is no need for your tricks now."
f-: Alucard smirked lightly, trying hard not to grin like a fool as the heavy feeling over his heart had turned to what felt like bats fluttering in his chest.Grabbing a seat he fwomped down onto the cushion and tilted backwards a bit, keeping himself balanced with his magic as he reclined. "You look different when you blush. You look..." he tried to think for a moment as he tilted his head in a puppy like fashion as he stared at her face.
o-: Integra's brow raised as she sat down in a chair away from him. She intertwined her fingers together, quickly noting how weird it seemed to not wear her gloves, and how cold they felt. Crossing her legs and reading her elbows on the arms to each side, she looked at him directly. "Like what?", she asked, impatient by his pause. 'I don't care what you say vampire', she thought, but quickly changed her mind. 'I really do want to know, though...come on, spill it!'. Bouncing one foot and turning her head only slightly as Walter entered the room with a tray containing a bottle and a wine glass, she let out a sigh. "Thank you Walter", she said quietly, shaking her head to his question of any further request. As the butler exited the room, Integra turned her head back towards the dead count.
f-: Alucard chuckled softly as he took the bottle, breaking eye contact with her as he poured some of the liquid into the glass."You look.. How I believe you mortals put it, Pretty." he took a sip from the glass, swirling the stuff around lightly with his one hand."Moments ago, Why were you crying when I woke up?" had she been worried about him? That would be a rare occurrence but a flattering one none the less.
o-: Integra put her hands to her face and lifted her glasses with her fingertips, all in a sly effort to hide her flushed cheeks. "You were seeing...", she trailed off, inhaling slowly. 'Damn...He won't believe my lie, so I might as well confess and get the humiliation over.' Lowering her hands she looked to the side and frowned softly. "I was concerned...you weren't waking to my calls.", she admitted in a deadpan voice, her eyes closing
f-: Alucard blinked for a moment, as though he was having a hard time accepting the fact that she had confessed she was worried and cared about him. However that blank look soon changed into a sly smirk as he took another sip from the glass."I'm flattered that such rare emotions were shown for me." there was no sarcasm, not malice, no insanity behind those words, just simple honesty.Snapping his fingers another glass appeared in his other hand, pouring a little of the liquid into it he offered it to her."Care to try some? You may find you actually like it." he sat the glass in front of her and took another sip from his own, chuckling to her at his next statement. "It's good for the blood."
o- : The Hellsing heiress' eyes opened to his offer. "No thank you", she replied with a small wave of her hand, "I doubt it will be of any good to me. Aside from that, I need to get back to my work." Standing up gracefully, she walked slowly back to her desk and sat down in the chair, then pulled herself up. Lifting her hand to grab a few papers to be reviewed, she let out a sigh. 'I'd rather be outside than here now', she commented to herself, sitting the papers down in front of her, then shifting her weight to once side as she rested her head on her right hand. "To queen and country", she mumbled, scribbling her signature across the bottom of a page.
f-: Alucard closed his eyes and took this as a sign to get out of her face before she decided to take back her acceptance of his proposal. Walking to the door, he turned and gave a slight bow of his head to her though he doubted she'd see it with how focused she tried to be on the paperwork. With that he left and shut the door behind him, Smiling to Walter who looked at him as though despite everything he had seen from Alucard, now was the only time he was Insane. That was true... but a more suiting word for his mood would be nothing better then Love.
o-: Integra slid back from her desk and stretched. Several hundred documents later, she had decided it was time for a break and perhaps something to eat. Not bothering to ring Walter, she wondered from the office and several moments later found herself in the kitchen, 'shoo'ing off an aggravating maid who had somehow felt that Integra's desire to fix her own food was a test of the maid's willfulness to do her job. "God help us, it's a damn sandwich!", Integra shouted, her fist hitting the counter,"Now go away or step aside!" The maid, frightened by this outburst from her master, ran from the kitchen, apron clutched in her hands. Integra, barely affected by this dramatic exit, turned and began to open the cabinets above her, mumbling under her breath as she searched for the bread.
f-: Alucard had not only sensed her annoyance but had heard the outburst in his head. Chuckling as he phased into the room through the wall he stood a few feet behind her for a moment before going to the fridge to alert her of his presence further and grabbing a bag of blood."You need a secretary." he laughed softly as he placed the bag of blood on the table and sat at the corresponding chair."The paperwork is going to either turn you into a vegetable or a cranky old woman at this rate." his crimson gaze gleamed deviously as he pushed his luck a bit.
o- : Integra turned her head slightly to his comment, she huffed. "I'll cranky old woman you.", she mumbled, and turned her head back as she opened yet another cabinet. Finding the bread, she smirked and turned around to sit it on the counter as she moved to the fridge to collect the rest of her supplies. Several moments later she had fixed herself a 'small' sandwich and sat at the table's end nearest him. Glancing at the bag in his hands, she questioned his presence before taking a small bite from her sandwich. "Is your energy still low?"
f-: Alucard simply nodded lightly, he still felt exhausted and as though his joints were coming apart for some reason. Lifting the bag to his lips, he bit the end off the "spout" of it and began to drink. After a moment he cracked his neck a bit and rolled his shoulders. "Strange. That little bit of blood I just consumed should not of aided me so greatly.." perhaps he was damaged more so then he thought, but at least his joints were already feeling better.Taking another drink from the bag he looked over to her when he stopped. "Apparently I am more tired and starved then I first thought. It would seem you aren't the only one who has been lost in thought for several days."
o-: Integra shrugged. "I have no other objectives now than to serve my Queen. All else...", she paused for a few moments. "God knows, really. I'll have time for happiness later." Bending her head forward, she pinched the ridge of her nose. "Perhaps Walter can do the paper work for a few days. I need a vacation for once, as odd as that sounds."Sitting back up, she pushed her plate away and picked the small glass of milk up to her lips, then drank it and sat it back down, forgetting to wipe away the mustache it had left over her upper lip as she rested back in her chair.
f-: Alucard couldn't help but chuckle, his eyes twinkling with perverted comments withheld for her sake.Leaning forward put him as close to her as he wished due to his size without moving his seat.Smirking he seemed to analyze her for a moment before wiping her mustache off with a grin. "I believe you look better without the mustache Integra, you are much better clean shaven." he grinned widely and sat back with a laugh.Shaking his head a bit, he used his magic to bring another bag of blood to him as he would likely go into another "Drink his fill/Sleep his fill" mode soon due to the condition he was in."As for your comment about happiness, You lie. I have all the time in the world to do as I wish, You humans seem to forget that you do not and put such things off until it's too late.If need be Walter and I will take turns for a few weeks doing paperwork, and I'm sure Police girl knows how to work a pen.If not then I have made a very grave mistake in turning her into a fledgling." He laughed and then smiled to her genuinely.Despite his personality, it would be more then apparent even he had a nice spot to him.
o-: Integra's eyes widened for a second as she watched him brush the mustache from her mouth. Unable to speak for several moments until he had offered his, as well as the others efforts to ensuring her a little time on her own, she shook her head. "As odd as it may seem, Alucard, even if you all were to do so, I would be completely at a loss as to where to start. I haven't had a chance to vacation in a long time...thank you, though" Pushing her chair back some, she crossed her legs and tilted her head back. "I don't even know where I would want to go...perhaps I'll just lock myself in my room for a day." Letting out a groan, she closed her eyes. "I'm not old enough to forget what fun is!"
f-: Alucard got up from his seat and moved to stand behind her placing a hand on her shoulder he grinned widely. "Perhaps you simply need someone to remind you what fun is."Having said that he made a mental note to Walter that they were going out and he was in charge as usual and swallowed her in darkness. Teleporting out into the town he smiled when they appeared in an alleyway amongst the crowded street of downtown where the stores and such were.Stepping out into the crowd, people moved around him as he offered his hand to her with a smile. "Coming or do you just want to stand there with the trash all day?" his glasses appeared on his face, the blood bag from earlier in his coat pocket for later.
o-: Integra, shocked yet again that night, stood dumbly staring at the vampire before her, then her general surroundings. Finally cluing in to what had just conspired, the heiress shot a stern look back in his direction, her lips pursed in annoyance. Stepping towards him, she ignored his hand and instead chose to arrange her clothes back in order, tying her bow last. Not bothering to turn her head towards him, she asked, "What exactly are you planning to do here, Alucard?"
f-: Alucard smirked anyways, knowing that she would be happier even though at the moment she was annoyed. "I am going to take you around town to enjoy yourself for tonight.Tomorrow sleep in do whatever you want as usual, but for tonight allow me to do this." he smiled softly to her and stepped closer to her offering his arm to her like the gentleman he once was in the days of old."During the missions here the troops and myself have discovered many interesting places.I would like to show you some."
o-: Integra looked down at Alucard's arm and forced herself not to roll her eyes before wrapping her's loosely around it. "I don't pay them to play around on the job", she remarked, but began to look around without further complaint. "Alright. Where first?", Integra asked, her other hand finding its way to her hip. Slowly she slid it into her coat pocket and pulled out her cigar tin, then noticed her lack of free hands. Sighing, she put it back into her pocket.
f-: Alucard's shadows moved to grab her cigar tin, removing one for her and putting the tin back before anyone could really notice. Placing it in her hand he smiled waiting for her to bite the end off so he could lite it for her.Walking along he wondered which place he should take her first..Then it came to him. She had only had a sandwich and some milk.. she deserved an actual dinner first. "This way." he smiled and lead her towards one of the many fancy restaurants of England.
o-: Integra nodded in thanks as she was handed the cigar, shortly after doing as she had thought was expected before placing in the corner of her mouth. Looking over in the direction her companion had directed, her brow raised, but kept her comments to herself. Why was Alucard taking her to a restaurant? And then, as if the actuality of her acceptance to his proposal had hit her just then, she closed her eyes and nodded, battling off the excitement building up inside her. 'This is an actual date', she noted, having a hard time trying to stay calm.
f-: Alucard opened the door for her with his opposite hand, letting her enter before him as the Door greeter approached them, dressed in a fine tuxedo. The place was finely decorated, crystal chandeliers, beautifully decorated tables and even a dance floor where there would be a dance held after the dinner. "Good evening, Allow me to show you to a table." the door greeter smiled and bowed his head a bit as he lead them to a candle lit two seater, a fine silk table cloth draped over the tables given them all a fairy tale look. There were couples near them, some larger groups and even some people waiting.A waiter coming with menus after a moment "Good evening. Our Special is the prime rib with oregano seasoning, and the dance begins at 8 should you wish to join in."
o-: Integra nodded and crossed her hands under the table and on her lap, turning her attention to Alucard. "The men came here?", she questioned jokingly with a small smirk. Turning her head slightly she glanced across the restaurant, taking in the surroundings as she waited for his reply, as well as properly leaving him to order whatever he wanted for them to eat. 'Lovely', she noted of the people and decorations, then turned her head back towards the vampire.
f-: Alucard chuckled softly. "Actually, one of our targets lead us into the building beside here.Unlike many people I notice my surroundings." he smirked and didn't even need to look at the menu's. "Your most tender steak for the lady and blue steak for myself. Also a bottle of your finest chardonnay please." The waiter nodded and smiled, taking the menus away with a smile as he went off to place the order. He removed his glasses, folding them and placing them in his pocket as he took his coat off and rested it over the back of his chair. Getting up and offering to take her coat as well.
o-: Integra leaned forward slightly and allowed Alucard to do as he offered before sitting back in her chair. As she waited for the no life king top sit down again, she pulled the cigar from her mouth and placed it in a tray nearby, finding it more of a tacky hindrance to the setting than an actual comfort. "Thank you, Alucard.", she stated plainly to him. At that moment, a man to the right began to speak loudly, obviously overtaken by his wine consumption that night. Trying her best to block the old bastard's risque comments about dancing from her mind, she turned her head the other way and sighed. "So much for personal moderation..."
f-: Alucard rested her coat over the back of her chair, but instead of returning to his seat he went over to the man and loomed over him. She would likely be unable to hear what he said, but the man's voice would lower and he and his dinner mates would leave a few minutes later. Smiling as he sat down again, the waiter soon brought over their orders as another man poured the wine into their glasses and sat the bottle in an ice filled silver basin. "There, is that any better?" he smirked slightly again as he cut his steak, the blood pouring from the meat as he did so.
o-: Integra nodded, flashing a small smile to the vampire before laying her napkin in her lap. After cutting into her own meal, she sat the utensils to the side and reached to take a sip of wine. Before bringing the glass to her lips, she asked if Alucard if he had already planned out the rest of the night. Then, after a moment to hear his answer, she sat the glass back down and looked at him, her face serious, "When did you decide that you wanted to 'court' me, Alucard?" Then, reaching for her fork, she held it above her plate and looked down, hoping that whatever his reason would be, she could try to hide her reaction as much as possible.
f-: Alucard smiled softly to her from across the table. "Actually, I haven't. I was going to ask you what you'd like to do after we leave here. I Hope its not return to the Manor and brood over paperwork." he chuckled again as he took a sip of the wine himself. At her next question however he closed his eyes and smiled. "I don't quite remember when the thought first struck me, it has been so long. I will have to say I realized what I wanted about... six years ago." he opened his eyes again, an eyebrow quirked slightly as he gazed at her.
o- : Integra ate a bit of her meal, taking her time to respond to his confession. "Six years, hmm? What was so special about me at 17?", she questioned, and then took another bite. 'If he says one word about my 'growth', so help me I'll...', she cut the thought short. 'On the defense even while dating' ,she noticed, fighting off the urge to smile at her own inward joke. 'God help me, I will be pleasant for once', so after eating a bit more she wiped her mouth and sat up to take another drink, eyes drifting as another couple got up to leave. 'I have no idea what to do next...'
f-: Alucard had known she would ask something about his thoughts at that age. "I finally noticed how fiery your spirit was. That and your passion for your ancestors organization was interesting." he ate a bit before he continued that answer. "You showed me a glimpse of the woman you were becoming and I wanted a part of it." he looked away, knowing she would likely say something along the lines of 'Ah ha! I knew it! you just want to bed me!" or some other comment about his intentions towards her. Taking another sip of his wine he looked around and noticed the time, listening as the small orchestra began to play and couples begin to get up and go to the dance floor."Will you berate me for being cliche if I ask you something Integra?"
o-: Integra was slightly shocked at his answer, yet bit her tongue before she could give him a smart remark. Yet, she was unable to stop herself when he posed the question to her, "I make no promises, but go ahead. What is it that you wish to ask?" Taking another drink from her glass she set her napkin back onto the table and pushed her glasses higher on her nose.
f-: Alucard got up slowly, moving to stand beside her with his hand outstretched palm up. "Will you do me the honor of a dance?" he smiled softly, chuckling at his own ways. Nowadays things must be so different in the way of courting, but this was how he knew how to go about it.He had seen movies where mortals had made fun of his customs and such without knowing it, but he had yet to watch anything modern on the subject.
o-: Integra blushed as she watched him get up and approach her side of the table, then calmed herself down quickly as she took his hand. "You remember how to dance?", she questioned. Listening in to the music that the orchestra had begun to play, she ran through the list of dances she knew, and silently prayed that Alucard would lead well, in hopes of her mistake. "Don't step on my foot", she remarked in an effort to keep face as well as hide her fear of dancing.
f-: Alucard smiled widely. "There are many things I remember... and never have the chance to do." he laughed softly as he lead her to the dance floor, a simple waltz song being played. Gently he took her hand and place one on his shoulder and held the other hand in his corresponding one.Out stretching that arm in a relaxed line, he placed his other hand on her side and began to lead. "Just relax Integra." he would do the normal 3 step so as not to overwhelm her, but she would certainly be surprised soon enough. After the waltz ended, he looked to the instructor and forced the Tango into his mind...the music beginning to play.
o-: Integra's face paled slightly as she heard the familiar start of a song. 'God no...', she cried in her mind, but would not show this fear to her dancing partner. Instead her eyes narrowed as she squeezed his hand lightly. "Just dance, Alucard", she snapped back. Taking a deep breath she lifted her head slightly to meet his eyes as much as she could and loosened her poise for any moves he would start by. If she was to make herself look foolish anytime soon, as least she would do so as a proud fool.
f-: Alucard smiled softly, and bowed his head close to her ear as he firmly pulled her to his chest for the beginning of the dance. "Trust me Integra." all he whispered as he locked his fingers with hers and cast her away, twirling her before pulling her back gently but firmly as the Tango required. Then taking what seemed like intimidating and dominant steps towards her, which would force her to back away despite them still holding hands, he would suddenly turn, his hand at her back to twirl her a foot or so off the ground with her chest pressed to his. After a few moments of twirls, footwork and smirks, he lifted her into the air, twirled around with her over his head and then at last let her slip back into his arms as he dipped her low to the ground. The people around them applauding as he stood her upright again. Finally releasing her. The Tango had always been a dance he wished to do with her, perhaps he would have to give her lessons someday.
o-: Integra stared at the count, still in a daze of all the motions that had just happened. 'I..I can't even begin to...' "A damn rag doll!", she mumbled under her breath. Not one to openly give praise, or to let her servant know how much she had been amazed by any of his actions, she stood straight once more, though with some difficulty due to her head swimming from the dance. "I'm...", she started, finally noticing the people applauding around her. Blushing bright red she quickly shifted as close as possible to Alucard, yet kept her eyes off in another direction, hoping that no one would see how embarrassed she had become in such a short period. "God help me... you damn show-off."
f-: Alucard laughed softly as he gently hooked his arm around her waist and lead her from the floor. "I have wanted to do that with you for a long time strangely enough Master." he chuckled, if vampires could blush he would be at this moment. "I may be a show off, but isn't that what the Tango is about? Showing off the feelings of passion and love?" he smirked and took her coat from the chair, holding it for her to slip into. Once that was done he would retrieve his own coat and head to the place to pay for their dinner and wine. Returning to her he opened the door for her once more. "Decided where to go next?"
o-: "A doctor to get a new heart", Integra replied. "I believe we left mine on the dance floor somewhere between all the twirling." Shaking her head, she stepped outside and waited for Alucard to step over beside her. "The Waterfront", she stated more so as a question. "Unless you think something else would be more entertaining than that." Sliding her hands into her pockets, she noted how cold they had become, but cared little to express such a small discomfort.
f-: Alucard bowed his head lightly as he stepped out beside her. "I'm sorry Master." he looked around for a moment before nodding to her. "That sounds perfect.I don't believe your heart could stand too much excitement after that it seems." he saw her put her hands in her pocket and wished that his flesh wasn't always so cold so he could warm them for her."Save for me showing off, I hope you are at the very least having fun." he smiled somewhat nervously, cursing his outdated tactics.
o- : Integra's brow lifted in confusion. "You have nothing to be sorry for. I was joking, Alucard." Walking onwards, she glanced at the signs and people around her. "I had more fun in just these few hours than in years", she confessed. "But do not think I will continue to tell you such. And Walter is not to know of any of tonight's events, understood?", she added and lifted her glasses from her face to the top of her head as she turned to the vampire to emphasize her point.
f-: Alucard blinked for a moment before that wide grin of his spread across his lips like an infectious disease. "I'm glad." he walked towards her adjusting his coat a bit. "Yes My Master.." he grinned again as he looked down at her. He was just happy she was having a good time, even if he was still psychotic and ruthless.. He still loved her. "I doubt Walter would like to hear of such anyways, Besides, If I told him he may try and steal you away from me." he laughed softly and ran his hand through his hair.He was so drained of energy, the blue steak had helped very slightly but he would need to drink the blood in his pocket soon or he would end up being sluggish.
a-: Integra approached the hand bars of a small port over Thames and gripped it for a short while before turning to find a small bench not much father away. "We should sit there", she directed with a wave of her hand and walked towards it. Sitting down she crossed her left leg over her right and clasped her hands together in her lap. Not one to speak other without necessity other than when she was angry, the blond woman stared out towards the familiar river and began to picture the unseen depths as nothing other than liquid shadows reflecting the life they passed by. 'What a morbid thought', she remarked.
N-: Alucard moved to sit down beside her, watching out over the water without a sound.-How strange it is that I can remember my countries water turned red with the blood I shed...but now..- he looked at Integra for a moment..-Though I still crave such chaos and bloodshed.. I would give it up for her if only she wanted me to..- Resting his arm along the top of the bench behind her shoulders lightly, he didn't realize that even now he was doing something that modern aged daters did."Mm.. this is a good night. It makes me nostalgic." he smirked lightly as he turned his head to look at her.
a-: Integra quirked a brow and turned her head in his direction. "'Nostalgic' ? Of what?", she questioned, eventually turning the rest of her upper body towards him and resting her right hand against the bench seat. 'Why am I so interested in what he wants to say?', she questioned, but brushed the ill thought from her mind as she waited for his reply.
N-: Alucard looked up at the sky. "There were nights when I was ruler long long ago that I would leave my castle and simply enjoy the evening by myself." he closed his eyes as the wind brushed against them lightly, his hair swaying upon his back and shoulders. "I would go into a small opening in a nearby forest and sit upon the grass by the water.I enjoyed the calmness of nature which was in contrast to the rest of my life back then. However.." he looked back down and to her. "Now I find that such tranquility is better shared with good company then alone."he smiled faintly before looking away once more.
a-: Integra nodded to his comment. "When reflecting, detaching ourselves from other human's interference becomes a necessity. But when our reflections draw us back to those we are apart from, that is when we find ourselves needing the thing we came convoluted by. Reflection is pointless when lonely...", she stated softly, turning her herself back towards the river. Finding herself drawn back towards the same morbid thoughts as before, she sighed and tipped her head back, disregarding that she could feel Alucard's arm behind her and the strange comfort that came soon after. "God help me,I have nothing poetic to say about that dirty river", she stated gruffly.
N-: Alucard could only laugh at her comment. "Neither do I. It looks like the processing plant nearby has been grinding up garbage and pouring it into the water." he rolled his opposite shoulder a bit, wincing as due to the attack earlier it felt like some of his nerves had been severed.Gently resting his hand on her shoulder, he looked to her again, crimson gaze longing to meet her own. "For once I am worried. How do you humans put up with such an aggravating emotion?"
a-: Integra lifted her head back up and towards him, her hair pouring over the front her shoulders as she did so. "Do you mean loneliness? We put up with it the best we can, Alucard. If we are strong, we fight it and find ourselves new company, or lost friends to be with. If we are weak, we lose ourselves to it, sinking back into the misery that's always willing to be a companion." Inhaling slowly as she shrugged, she continued. "Do not worry over me, if you are. I am not lonely now." Raising her eyes up to meet his gaze, she studied his face. "Surely you have been lonely once before."
N-: Alucard thought for a moment, trying to remember when the last time he was lonely. "The last time I was lonely was.." he laughed loudly. "When I was bound to that damned wall by your ancestors. Then you came." he smiled softly. "I haven't felt it since. As for worrying about you, I do it seldomly as you are still the strong woman I have watched grow up. Though I am glad you don't feel lonely now, I can't help but worry that you think that I am being false with you." he sighed lightly and shook his head. "I hope you know me better then that, but still it cannot be helped as I am still 'new' to expressing emotions aside from my usual."
a-: Integra let a small smile cross her mouth. "Despite your madness and constant tempting, I trust you, Alucard--since that day we met." Raising her hand up to lay it on his in a rare, but kind gesture, she let the smile fade from her face. "I know when you proposed you weren't doing it to be a pest.. As far as 'expressing' yourself other than your usual--don't." Dropping her hand, she looked away for a brief second. "I accepted the proposal from you. Not some strange counterpart. If I wanted to 'court', as you've put it, a person who wanted to treat me like an simple, ordinary woman, I would have accepted one of the other knights instead."
N-: Alucard couldn't help but laugh at this, his normal maniacal sound echoing across the water. "Good, as I loathe being more human then I feel like." he turned his hand to hold her own, giving it a light squeeze as he smiled to her. "Some would call you a strange woman Integra.Crazy even, but I believe you leave that job to me." he grinned widely, his fangs glistening in the soft light of the moon above them."Not that I mind a bit, as it takes someone insane to rule over an insane monster as well as you do." he winked and grinned again. "But that's just another trait I enjoy about you."
O-: "Good", Integra replied, her chin lifting. "If my 'craziness' keeps those stupid bastards out of my hair, then I'm fine with however they may perceive me." She slowly ran her hand through her hair. "I doubt I am truly insane, however." Glancing over at Alucard's grin, she couldn't help but smile again herself. "There's no contest when compared to you, however." She laughed for several moments and switched legs. Looking up at the sky, she studied the moon for a short while before remarking, "It really is nice tonight."
N-: Alucard smirked when she noted she was unable to contest with him. "I don't see it as a downside really." he grinned again as he listened to her laugh, it was a beautiful sound to him.He hadn't heard it since she was much younger it seemed.Tilting his head back a bit, he looked up at the sky and smiled genuinely, gently giving her a soft pull against him as the breeze came by once more. "Mm. The moon is much better then the sun in my opinion. though I may be a bit biased." he chuckled
O-: Feeling herself being pulled towards the vampire, Integra gasped. "What are you--" 'Shut up!', her mind quickly interceded before she could finish her question, leaving the heiress the only option of sitting closer to her 'date' that night. "Yes, then again, you can't admire the sun like the moon. I wish we could see the stars in London, however." Silently she cursed the city's smog. Suddenly it seemed her luck had changed as a bright light shined in the heavens, causing Integra to tilt her head slightly towards Alucard as she gazed up at it. 'Is that...' The light began to move, however, causing the blond woman to close her eyes in disbelief. "An airplane."
o-: Integra's fingers bent together as she stared off into the open space of her office, lost in thought.
