I Know Every Part of You

Fay sighed and glanced out at the pre-dawn sky, trying to remember how many hours they’d been awake. By his count it had been nearly 36 hours since they’d gotten any real shuteye, and it was getting to them both.

Now that this security issue had been resolved they could relax, but they were still too pumped up on adrenaline to actually fall asleep, and for the last several hours they’d been trying unsuccessfully. Protecting Princess Tomoyo could do that to you, and Fay now had a sense of where Kurogane’s grumpiness had come from after years and years of this, training and vigilance be damned.

He was about to say something about his eyes feeling like they were about to fall out of their sockets, but he stopped himself when he realized that the metaphor bit too close to home. And it wasn’t entirely clear if Kurogane would have heard him even if he had said it, given the way he was sprawled out on the bed with his face buried in a pillow. It was sort of adorable, but on another level it was a bit disconcerting and uncharacteristic for a man who often slept with one eye open.

“Kuro-rin, are you alright?” he walked over and stroked the top Kurogane’s head, taking a moment to marvel at just how soft that hair was despite its spiky appearance.

There was a grunt in response, but the tone was enough to let him know that it wasn’t serious.

“Tired?” he asked, sitting down on the edge of the bed.

With another grunt Kurogane buried his face further into the pillow, as if trying to force himself to fall asleep. Fay nodded, thinking that he’d try to occupy himself with something else in the meantime.

“I know how you feel. If you want to rest I’ll just...” before he could get up he was stopped as a calloused hand reached out to grasp his arm, and Kurogane lifted his head to look up at him blearily.

“You don’t have to leave,” he muttered, and for a brief moment Fay thought that he was about to say something else, but whatever it was got lost in a yawn and was apparently forgotten, and was replaced by a look that could only be described as puppy-dog eyes.

After a few seconds of thought Fay decided that he might as well take advantage of the invitation, and flashed a sly grin. Kurogane knew what that smile meant and groaned softly, but otherwise he didn’t protest as Fay undid the sash on his robe and let it fall to the ground. In fact, the way his eyes traveled down Fay’s body appreciatively were hardly what one would call unenthusiastic, and the sheer heat in that gaze made Fay shiver. He’d never get over the feeling of being wanted by another person so fully and so sincerely, and every time he had to convince himself that he wasn’t just imagining it.

He crawled into bed behind Kurogane and began to lightly rub his shoulders, paying special attention the muscles that tended to tense the most. After a moment there was an appreciative groan as Kurogane leaned into his touch, and despite himself Fay could feel himself getting harder with every passing second.

“You’re shameless,” Kurogane muttered as Fay breathed against his ear, but the words lacked conviction. Fay smiled and stroked Kurogane’s neck, kneading into the tender spots, though he still didn’t have the courage to pay much attention to the area near his artificial arm. Kurogane had repeatedly said that touching it didn’t hurt him, but it still hurt Fay too much to be reminded of the circumstances that had caused the injury.

Sensing his hesitation, Kurogane turned over slightly, gently taking Fay’s hand and placing it on the artificial shoulder, where he held it for a few seconds.

“Don’t regret it,” he said firmly. “I didn’t.”

Fay clenched his jaw and took a deep breath to calm himself. Once he felt in control of himself again be wrapped his arms around Kurogane’s shoulders and lightly kissed the side of his neck, smiling when he received an immediate gasp in response.

“Kuro-rin,” he purred, sliding a hand down his chest. “You try to hide it, but you’re so sensitive, especially here…” that hand slid further down, ghosting along the inside of his thighs.

Kurogane didn’t even try to formulate a response to that, and just leaned back and groaned louder. Fay was barely doing anything yet, but his mere presence and warmth were enough to make him unable to think straight, and he doubted that he’d last very long. The first light touch on his growing erection nearly made him double over, but he felt Fay smile into his neck and withdraw his hand.

“Not yet,” Fay whispered in response to his sounds of protest, lightly kissing his temple. “I know you’re ready to go, but I’m not done with you.”

Kurogane’s eyes went wide for a second, but Fay smiled and shook his head. “Don’t worry; I know you’re not up for that, neither am I,” he slid around so he was lying on top with their chests together. “I’ll do all the work, just relax.”

“Easy for you to say,” Kurogane gasped, which drew a chuckle from Fay as he reached between them and took hold both of their erections to stroke them together, trying to maneuver their bodies so that they still had as much of their skin touching as possible, thigh against thigh, chest against chest. It always amazed Fay just how much heat Kurogane’s body gave off when he was aroused, and he half expected to melt into him and totally lose himself.

Kurogane seemed about to say something, but it got lost in the next stroke of Fay’s hand and became a groan. Fay was pleased to see that his neck and chest were now flushed, and he was quickly reaching the same state. Though he loved nothing more than a long slow session of lovemaking he knew that they both desperately needed sleep, but at the very least this could help them along. Not that he needed a reason to reduce Kurogane to shivering and gasping his name, but it helped.

He soon stopped thinking coherently as the pace picked up, and soon he felt Kurogane’s arm creep up his back and gently undo his ponytail so he could run his hands through the loose strands of his hair, and Fay couldn’t help but smile at that. Kurogane loved his hair, and he’d woken up and a few times to find him playing with it.

When he felt Kurogane’s body unmistakably harden under him he leaned up and ran his lips over the pulse point behind his ear, knowing that it was one of his most sensitive spots. That was more than enough to send him past his limit, and a second later he had completely given in and could do nothing but ride it out, his hands tightening over where he had been holding onto Fay’s shoulders before they released and he fell back, his mouth open and gasping for air. It wasn’t long before Fay threw his head back and fell onto him, totally exhausted and unable to do anything but rub his face into Kurogane’s chest appreciatively.

“How…” Kurogane muttered, looking up at Fay with hazy eyes. “…Do you do that? It’s just…” he trailed off, seeming to lose his train of thought, but his meaning was clear enough.

“It’s because…” Fay said, reaching out to hesitantly caress the muscles of the artificial arm. “I know every part of you.”

Kurogane chuckled and turned them on to their sides, wrapping his arms around Fay’s waist. “How long did it take you to come up with that?”

Fay smiled. “A few seconds longer than usual,” he yawned and rubbed their foreheads together. “We need sleep.”

Kurogane nodded. Anyone else might have expected them to say something like “I love you” to each other, but they didn’t need to. They already knew.
