He fell upon the altar before the metal cross and just laid there, weeping tears of blood onto the polished wood. The pain within his silent heart was something that only a person who has lost everything could ever know. He could taste the blood on his tongue and trembled in agony. It hurt. It hurt so much.
“It’s over now,” a deep voice spoke from the shadows behind him. “You have no place to run, and you can’t hide from me.”
The bloodstained cotton-white sheet fell from his pale shoulders as he slowly moved to sit up. Vibrant white hair fell across his face like a shimmering curtain, hiding his emerald green eyes. There was no point in running. There was no point in fighting anymore. The monsters had won. They had stolen his family, his life, and now his soul. He had nothing. He had nothing at all. All he had were the looks that demon had desired and he cursed himself.
“Do you think I asked for this?” He whispered, looking up, defiantly gazing into that moving darkness. He began to scream at the top of his lungs. It was wild and scary. “I hate you! I hate you all! Humans! Vampires! You’re all the same! You’re all nothing but monsters!”
He collapsed to the floor, pulling the tattered sheet over his head. All he could do was cry. The vampires had torn his family to shreds. They had torn his mom, dad, and his older brother into pieces right before his eyes. He could ear bones snapping, flesh tearing, and all that evil laughter. They had all fucking laughed over his loved one’s screams.
“Why didn’t they kill me?” He whispered. “Why make me like this?”
He could feel the Monster in Red moving in on him like a silent predator. He couldn’t fight back. He didn’t have the strength. His body felt so sluggish and powerless.
The sharp sound of a gun being cocked filled his ears. He tensed, trembling in terror. It only made the scarlet tears stream from his eyes even harder. He was about to be murdered again. It was wrong. The world was all wrong. He had been kidnapped, beaten, raped, and turned into this thing. This wasn’t justice! Why was he being punished?
He squeezed his eyes shut with a painful sob, pulling the sheet around his naked body even tighter. It was all the security he had left in the world now. The monsters couldn’t get him if he was completely covered up.
“I am sorry, Gabriel Rose,” the Monster in Red said to him. The voice was full of a surprising tenderness. “There are many things in this world that are not fair.”
He ever so slowly fought to sit back up. The sheet slid from his face, and he gazed up at the beast that would soon murder him. A pale light fell across a flawless moth-white face. He was the most beautiful monster in the world. His eyes blazed with crimson-amber fire, and his long hair was darker than hissing serpents.
“I was just a normal kid, sitting down to dinner with my family,” he said, looking right into the barrel of that gun that was pointed right in his face. “I’m only sixteen.” Was this really happening? Was all this real? Was this nightmare ever going to end? He had prayed to Jesus. Where the fuck was Jesus? He was so scared. His mind was screaming for him to run, but his body was too exhausted.
He looked down at those large booted feet, and the tall man went down on bended knee as if he had moved in a mere blinking of the eye. The barrel of that gun was placed right up against his smooth forehead.
“If I were to spare your life,” the Monster in Red said, pressing the gun in harder, making him flinch in pain. “Would you serve only me for the rest of your life?”
Crimson droplets dripped from his chin. Was he selling his soul to the Devil?
“Well?” That deep voice boomed like thunder throughout the large cathedral.
“Yes!” He cried out, squeezing his eyes shut, feeling like he had just betrayed his family. “I will!”
He was suddenly pulled to his feet by powerful arms. This beast could pull his arms from their sockets if he chose to do so. What was he? He wasn’t like the one who made him this way? He was showing mercy.
“Here,” the Monster in Red said, showing him a luminous white wrist. The veins within were so blue. “You will bite me and become bound to my will for all time.”
Emerald green stars gazed at that marble looking flesh. He could feel his fangs sliding down from their fleshy pink pockets. It blissfully hurt.
“Go on,” the Monster in Red said, putting his wrist closer to his mouth. “Bite me before I rip out your spin and strangle you with it.”
He timidly gripped that muscular arm for more support, and gently sunk his razor sharp fangs into that tender flesh. The blood was boiling hot, tasting sweeter than apples on his lapping tongue. This blood was so different. It was pure and wonderful. It was like liquid fire.
“My voice is now within your mind,” the dark angel chuckled. The voice shimmered in his head like crimson snow falling from a black abyss in the sky. “My name is Alucard, and you will serve me always, even if you are on the verge of death. You will obey my every wish without retort or question. I am the only reason why you are not dust settling on these empty pews. Your mind and body are now my property.”
Gabriel jerked his head back, panting for breath he no longer needed. Old habits died hard. Oh, yes! They really did.
He slumped to the floor, falling to Alucard’s knees. The stone under his naked ass was colder than ice. He gazed up at his master, feeling that powerful will swimming like serpents through his icy veins.
“Alucard!” A woman’s deep voice hissed from beyond his line of sight. He felt drunk. “What have you done now?”
He felt his master lift him up in his arms, covering him with his cloak of crimson heat. It was so warm and soothing against his chilled flesh.
“Well,” his master said as his green eyes closed. They were so heavy. “I’m your slave, Master. It is only fair I have a slave of my own now, too.”
The woman bellowed and ranted. She must be a powerful demon queen in order to have the power to control this fallen angel. The darkness took him deeper into its feathery warmth.
