Summary: Tsuzuki and Hisoka are spending a week at a hot-spring, but trouble is never too far behind. What in the world have they gotten themselves into this time? This story will contain boy-love, violence, and language.

Prologue

Tsuzuki knew that there wasn’t a chance in the Count’s thong-drawer that he was going to get Hisoka to join him in the hot-spring. So, he decided that he would just go by himself. The cheeky little brat could just do whatever he wanted. He always did anyway, and that was fine with him. The green-eyed beauty was always calling him such mean names, and throwing stuff at him. He could still feel the bump on his head he had received on the trip to this wonderful little resort. How could someone so tiny be so damn strong?

He slowly removed his robe, laid it on a stone bench, and stepped down into the steamy hot water. It felt so good, causing him to sigh with happy content. He waded out into it, finding a comfortable spot to soak his stresses away. His back was to a beautiful blue hydrangea that looked to be glowing in the steamy mist.

The moon was gaining height, becoming even brighter as it rose in the starry sky. It was so beautiful and looked to be almost full. He wondered if that jade-bunny was pounding away on his rice-cakes, driving that poor little princess insane. The image in his head was a funny one. The princess was all did up in a frilly pink gown, chasing the bunny through the moonstone trees with a mallet in hand, swinging it away like a crazy person. It made him giggle.

He began to wonder why Hisoka was so cold to him. It was really starting to bother him. Sure, the two of them joked around. But, there was ice in those brilliant green eyes of his. Those eyes reminded him of two oceans being blasted with a winter storm. They could look so scary in certain lighting and so sorrowful in others. Those eyes tended to haunt him when he allowed his mind the chance to wonder like it was right now. That boy was such a mystery to him. What would it take to crack through that thick ice he wore like metal armor?

His violet eyes blinked back into the present moment when he heard a small splash. He looked around, realizing that he couldn’t see his hands in front of his face. That was just how thick all the steam from the large outdoor pool had become. It must be because there was no wind blowing.

He decided to stay right where he was. The last thing he needed to do was wonder around in this thick mist. What if he were to fall and knock himself out? He would drown and be found naked. Now that would just be embarrassing and Hisoka would probably laugh at his stupidity. He could just hear the wicked blond now.

“Only an idiot could find the dumbest way to die in a hot-spring!” The image of a very frightening looking Hisoka roared in his mind. The green-eyed monster was all dressed up in skintight black leather with red claw marks across his chest. Tsuzuki ducked his head down, chin in the water. Oh, he was scared as the mental image ranted on, stomping killer heels hard enough into the asphalt to crack it in several places. “YOU STUPID IDIOT, TSUZUKI! HOW DARE YOU GO AND DIE ON ME, EXPOSING YOUR NAKED BODY FOR THESE PEOPLE TO SEE! I’LL MAKE THE CHIEF WAKE YOU UP JUST SO I CAN KILL YOU MYSELF! AH, YOU REALLY PISS ME OFF!”

The dark-headed Shinigami trembled in terror. Oh, that little brat was truly frightening to behold, even if he was only a figment of his imagination right now, a very sexy figment of his imagination right now. “Please don’t hurt me,” he whimpered, squeezing his eyes shut. “I’ll share my strawberry tarts with you. Please, don’t grind those steel heels into my spine! I have a bad back, Hisoka!”

That was when something caught his attention, snapping him out of his crazed reverie. He looked up, realizing that he was no longer alone in the pool. There was somebody out here with him. He could hear it. The mist was still too thick for him to see. It was probably just somebody who was staying here as well.

“Is someone there?” He asked, rising slowly to his feet, being carefully not to stumble as he did so.

There was only silence.

“This isn’t funny!” He shouted.

That was when he felt something cold and wet poke him in the back. He let out a shrill yelp, spun around, and gawked.

Woof! Woof!

It was a big white doggy. It had such fluffy fur. Hell, it was adorable. It was just sitting there at the edge of the pool, beside the hydrangea, panting at him.

“Aw,” Tsuzuki cooed, cocking his head to the side, smiling like an idiot. “Look at you. Aren’t you just the cutest little puppy?”

Woof!

The dog wagged its tail, lolling its tongue. It looked like it wanted to play with him.

“Do you want to shake hands?” Tsuzuki asked, holding his out. The doggy put its paw right in his palm, and he shook it. “My name is Tsuzuki. What’s yours?”

“The names Cuddles,” the blue-eyed doggy yipped. “Nice to sniff you, handsome.”

Tsuzuki blinked, realizing that his head was under the water, and he game up coughing for air. He looked this way and that. What the hell? He saw Hisoka putting on the talons in his mind.

“AH!” He yelled, grabbing his hair, pulling on it. “I PASSED OUT! I’M SO SORRY, HISOKA! PLEASE DON’T EAT MY FACE! I NEED IT!”

Arf!

He ever so slowly turned around. There was a little black puppy looking right at him. It was the tiniest little ball of fluff he had ever seen.

“Are you…Are you Cuddles?” He asked, stuttering.

The little doggie shook its head just like a person would. “Nope, I’m Snicker-Doodle.”

Tsuzuki blinked, looking up at a ceiling. He quickly sat up on the comfortable bed, looking around the room he and Hisoka had rented. How in the hell had he gotten back in here? How did he get back in his clothes? He looked to see that the book he had been reading earlier was still by his side. Had he fallen asleep and dreamed all that stuff?

He closed the book, and looked around the room. Where was Hisoka? He got to his feet, stretched, and noticed that the door leading out to the private little pool was cracked open but an inch. Was Hisoka out there? That would mean that he was in the pool, soaking, and very much naked.

Tsuzuki braced himself for the sudden mental bitch-slap that would send him diving under the bed, heeling, but…it never came. What in the world? Hisoka could usually feel his random horny thoughts from a mile away.

“…Hisoka?” He whispered, walking towards the door, peeking through the tiny little slit.

The blond was in the round pool, soaking. The smaller man had his back to the door, lying halfway out onto the ground, with his head resting on his folded arms. Tsuzuki’s amethyst eyes widened as they roamed over that flawless white body. The curve of that tight ass was simply perfect and bitable. He wanted to lick a straight line up the back of his straight as an arrow spine.

I just about managed to forget you
When you appear in a dream

Tsuzuki’s mouth fell open. Was Hisoka singing? He didn’t know he could sing. It was kind of scary. There was so much that he didn’t know about him.

And you’re even more beautiful there
Than I remember you being

His voice was so soft and sparkly. It reminded him of fluffy white clouds floating down a shimmering blue stream. That was just how pretty his voice was. Wow, he couldn’t wait to share this with Tatsumi. The secretary from Hell would simply eat this up.

So I’ve come to decide that Fate
Is telling you to not go
And considering this
I want you to know

Okay. Maybe he wouldn’t share this with Tatsumi. Hisoka’s voice was so sad and filled with a deep and hungry longing for something. He got down on his knees, ever so quietly opening the door.

If the world ends
I hope you’re here with me

He squeezed through the opening he had made, crawling on his knees towards the bubbling pool. Why was his partner so sad? How come Hisoka didn’t know that he was here, sneaking up on him? What the hell was wrong with him? This wasn’t like him at all.

I think we could laugh just enough
To not die in pain

Tsuzuki froze. Who was he singing for? Who was this song to? His eyes widened even more. He was very, very close to a very, very naked Hisoka. Gods! His body was so damn perfect.

If the world ends
It won’t finish you

The teen was beautiful, and his voice matched him perfectly, if not even more so. He wasn’t an empath, but he could tell that the blond was filled with pain.

You’re not the type they can capture
You flit like a fly-catcher

He reached out with a golden hand, suddenly stopping himself. He didn’t want to scare the hell out of him. Hisoka might injure himself and him in the process. Plus, he didn’t want to piss him the hell off. He was right here, looking at his naked body like a hungry scoundrel. This would really put him in a bad light.

They can’t pin you down
Can’t pin you down

He began to back ever so slowly away, heading back towards the door, when he bumped into something.

Woof!

The singing abruptly stopped and Hisoka spun his head around, glaring poisonous green ice right at him. Tsuzuki quickly put his right hand behind his head, laughing hysterically. He was frightened out of his damn mind.

“Oh, Rover!” He cried, throwing his arms around the solid brown dog. “I’ve found you, my baby!”

Hisoka’s eyes were glowing like venomous green acidic stars, and his mouth looked to be filled with razor sharp fangs. He was on his feet, dressed in a flowing white robe, holding up his trembling fist. “Tsu…zu…ki…”

“I’m sorry!” He cried, throwing himself down on his face, prostrating himself before the angry emerald-eyed monster. He immediately gushed out this long spill about passing out in the hot-spring and meeting two dogs named Cuddles and Snicker-Doodle. “And he sniffed my back, Hisoka! Can you believe that? He just sniffed me like I was a piece of yummy-yum or something.”

Hisoka lowered his head, grinding his perfect white teeth together. “What did you see?”

“Um,” Tsuzuki nervously smiled, trembling in terror, backing ever so slowly away on his knees. “I’ll say whatever you want me to say and I’ll believe whatever you want me to believe.”

“I’LL KILL YOU!” Hisoka screamed, flying up out of the water as if he had grown massive wings. That white robe billowed around him like deadly smoke. “I’LL TEAR OUT YOUR EYES AND CUT OUT YOUR TONGUE!”

“Run, Rover!” Tsuzuki cried, jumping to his feet, running for it. “Save yourself, my pretty!”

“GET BACK HERE!” Hisoka shrieked, snapping at his heels like a deadly cobra.

“I didn’t see anything!” Tsuzuki yelled, throwing open the door, racing inside, heading for the bathroom. “I didn’t hear anything!”

“LIAR!”

He raced into the bathroom, slamming the door shut, locking it. He felt the blond run right into it, pounding, kicking, and clawing at it.

“GET OUT HERE AND FACE ME, YOU COWARD!”

“Umm, no,” Tsuzuki said, leaning against the door, feeling every thump against his back. “People think I’m an idiot, but I’m really, really not.”

“You really should come out, Tsuzuki,” Hisoka chuckled like a crazy person. “Or I’m going to do something you’ll regret for the rest of this trip.”

Tsuzuki’s head shot up, when he heard what he knew to be a zipper opening. That little demon wouldn’t dare.

“Look at all these candies and cakes, Tsuzuki,” Hisoka howled with laughter. “They all look so soft and delicate. I wonder what would happen should I…oops.”

“NO!” Tsuzuki cried, throwing open the door. “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?”

“I’VE GOT YOU!” Hisoka bellowed, pouncing on him. They both fell to the floor with a thud.

Tsuzuki gasped, and Hisoka sneered. He squeezed his eyes shut, waiting for that fist to connect with his nose, but it never fell. He opened one eye. “Huh?”

Hisoka was slumped forward and his eyes were rolling around in his head. “Too…hot…dizzy…” The blond collapsed on his chest. “You…idiot…Tsuzuki…”

Tsuzuki let out a sigh of relief. He was safe for the time being and so were all of his yummy-yum.

“That’s what you get for getting all angry,” Tsuzuki said, patting him on the back of the head, not moving from where he was. He liked the feel of the boy being on top like this. “Your voice is really beautiful, Hisoka.”

“Shut up,” Hisoka whispered, breathing against his neck with such sweet breath. “You didn’t hear or see anything.”

Tsuzuki snickered.

“All those sweets have not only rotted your teeth, but your brain, too.”

The violet-eyed Shinigami pursed his lips. “My teeth are still just as perfect and white as they’ve ever been,” he said, slowly sitting up, holding the smaller man in his arms, being gentle with him. “And you really should try my strawberry-tarts. They’re delicious, Hisoka.”

“You make me so mad,” Hisoka muttered under his breath.

Tsuzuki was about to say something, but someone’s shrill cries filled his ears.

“MURDER!” A woman screamed at the top of her lungs. “SOMEBODY, HELP!”
