Lavi dropped his hands to his sides “He knew…But you couldn’t even tell me… ask me.”
Kanda shook his head slowly and Lavi growled seeing red again and punched Kanda hard causing him to stumble back into the desk painfully against his hip, Letting out a whimper of pain grabbing desk to steady himself.
“I won’t accept this I don’t… I never want to see you again Yu Kanda… I hate you, I hate Allen stay away from me.” Lavi punched Kanda in the stomach and stormed out the room slamming the door behind him not seeing as Kanda slid to the floor, The tears flowing down his cheeks “I’m sorry Lavi..”

Lavi stormed down the hall to his own room and closed the door locking it behind himself ‘I love him…Even now after everything.’ he laid on the bed staring at the ceiling a few more tears falling from his eyes… The exhaustion finally catching up dragging him into a restless sleep.

Allen had gone to his room dressing fully “I hope he is ok.” He sighed and left his room going downstairs ignoring the pain in his heated cheek, He ignored the concerned glances from a few finders and Lena Lee waving them all off going into the lunch hall for some food.
As Allen sat down with his food Lena Lee approached his table quietly standing beside him “Um Allen-Kun is everything ok..” She asked quietly looking to his cheek.
Allen smiled to her “Everything is fine Lena Lee-Chan the sun is shining I’ll be doing training soon… So don’t worry ok” he rubbed his bruised reddened cheek before going back to eating his meal.
Lena Lee smiled back to him and nodded walking back to Jerry collecting a tray full of coffee.

Kanda straightened himself out and looked into the mirror ‘Nearly gone already’ He thought stroking of the light mark on his cheek, Turning and leaving his room he headed to Koumi’s office entering without knocking.
“Kanda-Kun what a nice surprise…” Koumi said smile on his face as he stood from his desk.
“Don’t play nice with me I’m not in the mood… 2 days you offered me a mission is it still going if not find me another.” he said glaring at the Bookman who looked up at him curiously from the stack of papers he was reading through.
“Yes it is still available not many qualified for it, As you’ll know it will be a long mission so just decide how many finders you want to take with you and you can leave tomorrow.” Koumi said going through his desk pulling out a file.
“Just me don’t need a finder I’ll have my Golem if I’m needed or I need to get in touch… And I’ll leave today I just need to pack the essentials then I’ll leave immediately.” Kanda said leaving no room for an argument.
Just as Koumi was about to protest the office door opened again, Lena Lee was carrying in tray full of coffee “Nii-San coffee.. Oh his Kanda-kun do you want some?” she asked nodding to the coffee.
“No thank you Lena Lee-Chan I have a mission to prepare for.” He snatched the file from Koumi’s hands “So excuse me.” He bowed slightly to Koumi and Lena Lee and threw a glare to the Bookman who raised his eye before going back to his reading, Leaving the room Kanda headed upstairs to his room.
Lena Lee smiled and served out the coffee “Well I better go grab my Breakfast, Bye Nii-San.” She left closing the office door, her brother sighing and sitting down ‘What’s wrong with Kanda… He’s not himself.’ he thought sipping his coffee.

Kanda grabbed a duffle bag putting a few clothes inside grabbing his drawing book shoving it inside also… He then grabbed the Lotus Hourglass looking at it before wrapping it up safely shoving it in his bag before zipping it up.
He turned to his desk sitting down and writing 2 letters, Reading them over wiping his eyes and sealing them both in envelopes he wrote names on them and laid them neatly on his desk standing.
Clipping Mugen to his belt he picked up his bag and left his room not looking back as he headed down to the boats nodding to the waiting finder.
“To the train station Kanda-San.” the nameless finder asked quietly.
“No to the town I need to get some supplies first then I’ll walk to the station.” Kanda said climbing into the boat, The finder nodded and pushed off from the dock.

( Few Hours Later.)

Kanda was sitting in a private compartment on the train staring out the window a couple hundred miles away from the order already.
‘I wonder is Allen is ok… And Lavi I hope he’ll be ok.’ He thought to himself letting him get lost in his thoughts as he looked out the window.

Allen was training with a few dummies the science department had made him, He had built up a sweat but he didn’t pause in his training.
He was thinking about Lavi and Kanda. ‘What will happen now?? Lavi won’t calm down for a while and Kanda will choose him I’m sure.’ he sighed and continued you his training failing to block out any more thoughts of his screwed up love life. ‘I don’t want to lose Kanda but I don’t want to lose Lavi either, He was one of my first friends here.’ he paused as another dummy smashed to pieces, Laying down on the grass Allen looked up to the sky.

Lavi awoke and flinched as the afternoon sun hit his eyes ‘Damn this headache.’ he sat up and reached into his bedside drawer grabbing 2 painkillers swallowing them without water pulling a face at the taste.
‘I should go find Kanda and apologize… I can’t believe I hit him, I still love him even after all this.’ he stood and changed into some fresh relaxing clothes and looked in the mirror ‘Please forgive me Yu, We can work something out.’ he forced a smile onto his face and left his room heading down to Kanda’s
As he walked past a few finder he over heard the end of their conversation.
“Yes it’s true he chose no finders… The mission will take over a year.” one said
“When I dropped him off in the town he wasn’t himself I was worried about him… first time I can say that.” the other said
Lavi shook his head ‘Not time for that now I’m sure I’ll figure out who they mean later.’ he thought continuing to down hall stopping at Kanda’s door… He paused before knocking raising his eyes as the door cracked open slightly.
“Yu-Chan I’m coming in.” he called opening the door stepping inside, “Yu…” Looking around the room he noticed the missing hourglass from its usual shelf, Opening the bathroom door he saw none of Kanda’s things.
Beginning to panic ‘Where is he… His things aren’t here either’ He thought as he checked the drawers before slumping against the desk heavily… Finally spotting two envelopes, Picking them up ‘Allen Walker’ Written on one of them and on the other ‘Lavi - Bookman Junior.’ in Kanda’s neat hand writing
Fighting down his jealousy down he placed Allen’s letter down again he sat down in the stool before opening his letter and reading it slowly.

*Dear Lavi
I hope you read this and not just throw it away in Anger, By the time you find this I’ll be on a mission a few hundred miles away… I know you hate me now and while we must see each other eventually I will try my best to stay away from you, It is the best thing that I can do for you.
I would’ve liked to of explain this to your face but I never got the chance… Understandable after what I did.
I am so sorry I hurt you Lavi.. I Love you so much and seeing the hurt in your eyes… hurt me to I never wanted to cause that, But I did and now I cant take it back and make it right, But I can explain.
When we got together I thought nothing could get any better for me… When I was with you I didn’t have to be strong, And I didn’t have to be in control I could just be myself and I loved it… I loved how you took care of me, How you dominated me and yet made me feel so loved and safe in your arms.

But when Allen came along and we got together he was so different from you, The opposite to you and he was willing to trust me fully, Trust me with his control something I know you could never give was something that he was willing to give up for me… Someone who hurt him over and over again, I fell in love with both of you because you were so different but I only put you first, Allen knew I always would…
It’s my fault your hurting right now and I am so sorry… Please don’t hurt Allen for something I did.

There were dried tear stains of the letter smudging the last few lines… Lavi placed it down unable to hold the tears himself crying silently “I don’t hate you Baka-Yu… I love you” he said to the empty room before continuing the thoughts ‘He thinks I hate him and now he has gone on a mission and I can’t tell him how I feel… That I’m sorry.’ he wiped his eyes and nose composing himself and standing suddenly grabbing his and Allen’s letter leaving to find the white haired you.

After asking around Lavi headed outside to a training area Allen is known for using while home. Pausing as he spotted Allen.
Allen was shirtless doing one armed push ups… counting to himself, His clothes surprisingly folded neatly under the tree nearby.
“Yo Allen…” He said one hand in air in a wave.
Allen jumped up surprised by Lavi’s sudden appearance sticking his hands up defensively “I haven’t seen Kanda since this morning I’ve been training since breakfast… Honestly”
“It’s ok Allen calm down and we won’t be seeing him for a while.” Coming closer he held up Allen’s letter handing it to him before moving to sit by the tree looking up to the sky head against the tree.
Allen opened the letter and read it silently to himself a tear sliding down his cheeks wiping the tears away he folded the letter and sat down near Lavi, Grabbing the towel rubbing his neck and chest.
“You’re rather neat lately.” Lavi said nodding to the neat pile of clothes
“Mmm oh yeah Kanda hated it when I left things messy… I guess cleaning up for him has now become a habit.” He replied easily shrugging his shoulders not looking to Lavi.
Lavi nodded and sighed looking to Allen’s folded letter. “Allen what did your letter say” he asked curiosity getting best of him.
Allen said nothing as he reached and picked up his letter holding it out for Lavi to take.
“I can’t read that it’s your personal letter.” Lavi said looking at the letter in Allen’s hand
“Exactly… It’s MY letter and besides it concerns you as well so read it… That is if you really want to know.” Allen said laying back against the tree placing the letter on the ground beside him… His face obscured by his hair.
Lavi thought silently for a few minutes looking from the letter and up to Allen unable to see his face clearly but knowing his eyes were closed Tears clearly falling silently down his cheeks looking away, He picked up the letter opening it and taking a deep breath before reading it to himself.

* Dear Allen,
I’m sorry that Lavi punched you… I should’ve told him about you, I should’ve been honest with him…With you. But I was scared of losing him.
If you’re reading this it means I accepted Koumi’s long mission… I’ll be gone for a long time I think it’s best Lavi and you don’t see me for a while, I know it’s for the best that we don’t see each other anymore.
I have explained everything to Lavi and I hope that he will one day calm down and remain your friend I know you don’t want to lose him.

I wanted to thank you for caring about me Allen and for teaching me to be open with my self…With my feelings and that been happy isn’t always a bad thing.
I never said this to you before and now I wish I had but I do love you Allen so much you gave me everything … I couldn’t give you the one thing you wanted the most… to know I loved you back… Shame it is to late as we can never be together not after everything… not after hurting Lavi.
Take care of yourself Allen you are a great kid and this world needs people like you, I’m sure you will find someone who can love you openly and not keep you in the dark and shadows like I did.

There were a few tear stains on the paper much like his own, Folding the letter carefully he placed it on Allen’s knee.
“Ironic how the first time he says those 3 words is in a letter breaking up with me… with us.” Allen said sniffing wiping his eyes.
“He really never told you…” Lavi asked feeling bad as Kanda told him often.
Allen shook his head slowly “I used to say it to him you know and he’d just give a awkward smile and pull me into a hug and whisper an apology to me…You always came first.” Allen stood and grabbed his shirt placing the letter away safely “I’m sorry it turned out this way… Forgive me for falling for him.” he sniffed and walked off.
Lavi clenched his eyes shut to stop the tears from falling again. “Never be sorry for falling in Love Allen… he was special to us both… I just need some time.” he looked to Allen’s back seeing a brief nod before he disappeared inside the Black Order.
Lavi stayed outside looking at the sky ‘Stay safe Yu… Love you always’ losing himself in thought Lavi stayed outside to watch the sky…

Koumi Lee watched Allen enter the order his eyes red and puffy from obviously crying, Looking out the window he spotted Lavi withdrawn and laying in the grass.
‘Wonder what’s up with them both…’ Pausing in his thought and he remembered his conversation with Kanda last week and his mood earlier that day.
‘Kanda… But how does he link Allen and Lavi been upset unless they’ve had a fight… I’ll have to watch them before I send either of them on any missions.’ he thought taking a sip from his mug of coffee and continuing down the hallway.

(22 Months Later)

It had been nearly 2Years since Kanda had left on his mission they had only heard from him twice since then and he would only talk to Koumi Lee.
Both Lena Lee and Lavi had tried to talk to him but he refused and then disconnected his Golem from any other contact.

Allen over the 22months had at first hidden himself away in his room before slowly returning to his normal happy go lucky self, Him and Lavi were now back on talking terms and even had a few missions together. They had discussed Kanda and their relationships with him before agreeing that if Kanda wanted to restart things between the both of them, That they would try and work something out, as they both still loved him.
He was currently outdoors in the garden laying in the grass and watching the clouds float by lazily lost in his own thought.

Lavi had received a telling off from Bookman for being distracted in his work and then questioned by him about everything he knew on Kanda, Surprisingly to him though he didn’t know that much causing him to frown at himself… Soon after Bookman stopped asking and he went back to mission as both Exorcist and Bookman.
He still cared for Kanda but had agreed with Allen who had suggested that they let Kanda make the choice when he returns home weather or not to restart what they had.
He was glad he had made up with Allen as the time went on he enjoyed the company and the distraction.
Koumi refused to discuss Kanda or his mission with them and not even Lena Lee knew anything about it as they had often questioned her about him.

Finders commented once in a while about reports of Akuma attacks but had been defeated by the dark haired boy who never stayed at the scene long after they were all defeated.

Kanda had gone into the mission head-on he ignored his own emotions and thoughts a lot of the time.
He had been attacked many times by both Akuma and Noah clan… As his mission came to an end he was almost dreading returning to the place he had come to call home.
He had sent a message to Koumi Lee saying that they had everything they had needed and he was heading home.
When Koumi had tried to question him about his health he snapped out that it was all in the mission report and not to contact him again.

It was dusk when Kanda had finally arrived at the order, Not much had changed about him except his hair was slightly longer and he looked worn out and tired… Getting to the doors he was scanned before been let inside.
Entering the entrance hall he ignored the gasps from passing finders as the commented to themselves, Heading to Koumi’s office without pausing to talk to anyone.
Lena Lee spotted his long hair as he turned down to corridor to her brothers office, She ran off to find Lavi and Allen to tell them.
Finding them in the common room playing cards she halted by the table having running there she panted
“ e’s back.” she said holding on to the table.
“What’s back Lena Lee-Chan.” Allen asked looking up from his cards
“Kanda… He’s back I’ve just seen him going to Nii-San’s office to give his mission report, But it was definitely him.” She said smiling
Allen smiled and Lavi stood “Rain check short stack” he said before throwing his cards down leaving the common room, Allen packed the cards up and followed Lavi.
Coming to Koumi’s office he saw Reever was talking to Lavi
“No-one can enter just yet… Be patient please.” he said calmly hand on Lavi’s chest to hold him back.
“He’s right Lavi we can wait a few minutes more after all we’ve been waiting 2 years almost.” Lena Lee pleaded
Lavi sighed and nodded leaning against the wall

Kanda had entered the office closing the door behind him, After a few words from Koumi the others in the office left them alone so Kanda could report in private.
Kanda had finished giving his report after 15minutes and Koumi looked thoughtful looking at the paper in front of him.
‘That’s not a good look on him… I prefer the carefree smile.’ Kanda thought to himself before speaking up “Well if that is all I’m kind of tired and I’d like to go shower and sleep, Maybe decent meal.”
“In a moment Kanda please I have a few questions… You fought 2 of the Noah killing one and to do so used 3rd activation of Mugen.”
“Yes I didn’t keep it activated long as soon after Killing one and injuring the other they retreated and as you can see I am fine.” He pulled out his hourglass and opened his shirt 3 petals had fallen from the pink/white lotus and his tattoo was larger then normal as was finishing to heal him.
Koumi sighed and nodded his head slowly “Even so Kanda it is a Taboo to use that activation as it is dangerous to your health.”
“Better then me dying I say right, besides I had no choice and you have information on the Noah clan now… Besides I been training with Mugen to.” Kanda replied calmly
Koumi raised his eyebrows but knew better then to ask any more questions at this point “Ok go and rest and don’t forget to eat something before you sleep ok.” Koumi replied finally a smile back on his face.
Kanda glared briefly before placing the hourglass away in his bag and heading to the door “Che…”

Opening the door he paused seeing Lena Lee, Lavi, Reever and Allen waiting there.
“Welcome home Kanda-San.” Reever said before walking back inside the office
Kanda did not reply to Reever and looked to the floor tightening his grip on his bag ‘I don’t need this now’ He thought.
“Welcome home Kanda-Kun.” Lena Lee said suddenly hugging Kanda pulling away as he flinched at her contact.
“I’m home Lena Lee-Chan… I have to go excuse me.” He said tensely patting her head seeing her concern before making to walk away…
Before getting far Lavi spoke up. “No hello to us…” he said staring curiously at him.
“You were the one who said that he hated me… and that he never wanted to see me again. I’m merely following orders…. That’s all I ever do follow orders… Your orders.” Kanda replied a little coldly before started to walk again.
“We haven’t stopped caring Kanda … Me or Lavi we feel same as always.” Allen called after him.
Kanda paused but didn’t bother turning “I stand by the letters I wrote…You’re better off with out me and I’m better off alone.” he continued walking to his room, After letting himself in he closed the door locking it, wiping his face from the few tears that fell. ‘There better off without me…I know they are’ he thought to himself moving to his bed.

Allen stared at Kanda’s retreating back turning when Lavi punched the punched growling deeply. “I don’t hate him…I never could. Cant he see that.” Lavi said more to himself.
Lena Lee watched the two males curiously listening silently from the sidelines… Allen laid a hand on Lavi’s arm.
“Kanda needs time, We weren’t the only ones hurt with all of this. He was to but we had each other to help get over it he had no one he was alone… Don’t get worked up Lavi won’t help you of all should know Kanda will hate that and will distant himself even more.” Allen said trying to calm himself.
“Um I don’t think it’s just you two that he is avoiding.” Lena Lee said quietly a thoughtful look on her face.
Lavi turned to her and looked surprised at seeing her there still. “What do you mean?” he asked
“Kanda came here when he was a 9 year old child, Me and Nii-San took care of him, He never spoke for months he pushed everyone away… He always let me hug him though or comb his hair even if it was for only a few minutes at a time… Slowly he opened up though to me and Nii-San. While he continued to push others away physically he started to talk a little more.” she paused looking down “When I hugged him just now, He acted like he did back then… Back when he pushed us all away.” she started crying silently “I don’t know what happened but he wont talk to any of us…”
“Lena Lee…” Allen went to hug her when Lavi grabbed him and nodded to Koumi Lee who had opened the office door standing there for second before embracing his sister into his chest.
“Lena Lee is correct, Whatever happened to him before this mission and during this mission has caused him to shut everyone out… Blocking them all. He’ll ignore those around him only speaking when absolutely needed and also will be more violent if someone touches him so be warned Lavi…” he gave a stern look to him before pulling his sister into the office leaving a stunned but thoughtful Allen and a upset Lavi.
“I won’t just give up on him not now when he needs us the most.” He said walking off
Allen sighed and looked from Lavi’s retreating back to the office where Lena Lee’s sobs could be heard “why are you hiding from us Kanda…” he said to the now empty corridor before walking off heading to his own room.

(Next Morning)

Kanda had unpacked the night before he hadn’t slept due to the thoughts in his head and spent the night drawing in his book or meditating… Dressing and clipping Mugen to his belt he went downstairs for breakfast.
“Ahh Kanda-San heard you were back…Usual.” Jerry asked receiving a curt and brief nod he got to work.
“So how was the mission… Went well I hope been quiet without you here.”
Kanda sighed heavily and remained silent… Jerry laughed “Ok Ok I’ll take the hint I remember you as a child still… I’ll keep it brief here you go Kanda.” He said placing the food on a tray for Kanda “Have a good day.”
Kanda nodded his head and bowed slightly in thanks before walking away to a table in the corner glaring at anyone who came to close to him.
Eating in peace before heading outside to his normal training ground he stripped off to his jacker and shirt and stood with Mugen in the middle of the training area closing his eyes and breathing in and out deeply in a semi meditative state. He let the light breeze in the air wash over him for a few minutes before withdrawing Mugen… Leaving it inactivated for now he began moving fluidly with the sword.

Allen was sitting in a window on the second floor watching Kanda from above. ‘You don’t have to be alone… And yet you’re hurting yourself by doing just that.’ he thought to himself.
Lavi was walking down the hall with a load of book in his hands, Spotting Allen he paused by the window and glanced down into the outdoor training area below.
“So he is already back to his routine then.” He asked quietly.
“Looks like it…The talk in the dining hall is that Kanda glared at anyone who stepped to close to him and wouldn’t verbally reply to anyone…. Jerry said he came in ate then left.” Allen replied sighing heavily still watching the Japanese boy.
Lavi shrugged tiredly “Like you said there is nothing we can do right now… If we rush in now we will lose him for good and I don’t want to risk that.”
“That’s logical of you Lavi.”
“It can happen at times and besides you were right, He does need time and we will show him that we care and we will be here when he needs us.” he gave one last glance out the window to Kanda giving a half smile “I better get going and read these before Bookman catches me skiving before his training later.”
“Good luck with that Lavi…” Allen replied with a smile.


Over the next few weeks things remained the same Kanda continued ignoring everyone and kept himself to himself at all times… Most had given up trying now.
Allen and Lavi had tried talking to him on various times, Sometimes Kanda would listen but most the time he walked off leaving them behind, the only time he did speak was when Lavi had pinned him to the wall and demanded that he talk to them.
Lavi let go only after the verbal warnings failed and Kanda resorted to pulling out Mugen pressing it to his neck drawing blood.

Suddenly alarms throughout the order went off “AKUMA ARE APPROACHING I REPEAT AKUMA ARE APPROACHING ALL AVAILABLE EXORCIST TO THE MAIN DOORS. FINDERS SPREAD TO ALL DEPARTMENTS FOR ORDERS.” was called over the intercom and various Golem throughout the order.

Outside the Akuma were approaching in large numbers 4 Noah with them “The Earl is crazy… He doesn’t even know how many Exorcist there are in here.” One of the twins said
“Orders are orders brother.” the other replied
“I hope I get to play this time, I hate missing out on all the fun.” Road said swinging Lero around.
Tyki grunted in agreement and continued smoking

Kanda, Allen, Crowley, Bookman, Lavi and Lena Lee ran outside. Lena Lee gasped at the amount of Akuma approaching.
“Its Road and them again..” Kanda said more to himself.
Bookman glanced to Kanda at the quiet admission “You’ve come across her before.”
“Actually come across all of them… During the last mission they captured me and tried torturing me for information… Road the girl of the group there deals with Illusions, She will send you to a different world and break you from within once your mind’s broken she can control your body I managed to escape her only cause Mugen uses similar abilities.
Tyki the man with a top hat can use dimensions he chooses what to touch and what can touch him, Including humans he’ll put his hand inside you and release Tease these man eating Golems they look like butterflies that will eat you inside out.
The twins are called Jasdero and David who use these matching guns they think of something and the bullets appear different powers depending on there thoughts… they work well as team however if they feel threatened they’ll shoot themselves becoming 1 person Jasdevi I barely managed to injure them in that state.” he finished and the others shuddered hearing each of the abilities.
“And here they come.” Kanda said as first wave of Akuma arrived, Activating Mugen and ran towards Akuma killing those in his path the others followed suit splitting up behind him to attack them and protect the order at the same time.
A small number of Golem watching relaying the images to those inside the order.

“Oh look Tyki it’s our pet… He came home.” Road said a smirk on her face.
“Even better then a pet Road…” Tyki said pointing to the Redhead and white haired boy fighting a small group of Akuma.
Giggling the 4 Noah stood back and watched the fight from the tree lines… As more and more of the Akuma were killed the closer the Noah approached the distracted Exorcists.
Kanda and Crowley began fighting against the Twins keeping them separated, Bookman and Lena Lee were still fighting the remaining Akuma.
Lavi and Allen got cornered by Tyki and Road… “Well look what we caught…” Road said a see through box surrounding them “Can we keep them…” she asked in a childish voice.
“No we can not we need them alive and kicking to lure our pet… Keep them boxed and no playing.” Tyki replied sternly staring at his niece before turning to watch the fight…
Road frowned but obeyed Tyki smiling as Allen and Lavi began banging on the glass.

Kanda was already in his second stage of activation with David as Crowley fought Jasdero… “Give up Exorcist you can’t win this.”
Lena Lee and Bookman finished off the Akuma and landed in Roads trap a box springing up around them.
“Let us out…” Lena lee yelled out banging her fists on the glass… Kicking it with her boots.
Kanda turned at the noise seeing the 4 Exorcists trapped and he growled, Crowley drank from a hip flask and wiped blood from his lip “Go to them Kanda I’ll take these two.”
Kanda nodded and ran towards Allen and the others, Tyki landed in front of Kanda tilting head slightly “Tut tut you cant do that now Pet you have to get past me first.”
Kanda growled “And why exactly would I play you game Noah.”
“Because if you don’t play pet White and Red will die.” Tyki said grinning looking over his shoulder.
Kanda growled and smirked “Fine I’ll play the game but I’m playing it my way… My rules and know this I will die to protect them.” He started to attack Tyki at level 2, Tyki had a hard time keeping up but just about managed to release his tease having them surround Kanda in a large number just hovering for now.
“Give up pet and I’ll call my tease off.” Tyki goaded him.
Kanda gave a dry laugh panting slightly… “I’m only at level 2... Mugen here has 6 Levels of activation.”
Tyki’s eyes widened “Your not at full strength yet.”
“Far …. Far from it.” he said before swiping Mugen across his own hand “Activate Mugen and lend me your strength.” Mugen glowed brightly and Kanda’s Pupils changed to 3 dots and dark black vein lines appeared under his eyes.
“Kanda no…. you cant” Lena Lee screamed out
Kanda smiled sadly looking to her. “I have to protect them…You, No matter what.” He closed his eyes and started attacking the tease moving faster then before, Tyki’s eyes couldn’t keep up fully so barely dodged when Kanda attacked him… Holding his now bleeding shoulder.
“So this is how you killed Skin, Jas … Davi stop playing.” he called to the twins…. They dropped Crowley’s unconscious body and moved beside Tyki.
“What’s this cant handle him alone Tyki.” they teased the older Noah.
Kanda panted and smirked “3 on 1 Maybe I should up to level 4.” he said sending out rapid attacks to the trio of Noah having only speed against him.

Lena Lee started weeping and dropped to her knees “Kanda you have to stop it’s to dangerous.” She called out hopelessly.
“Lena Lee what do you mean…. Dangerous.” Lavi and Allen asked at the same time.
“If he uses it for to long it becomes dangerous…” She paused unable to continue still crying.
Kanda growled and stabbed Jasdero through the chest and muttering an attack from inside killing him.
David screamed in pain behind him and grabbed Kanda tightly pointing the gun to his head. “Not fast enough that time were you Exorcist I’m going to kill you.”
“Not if I kill you first.” He pulled Mugen free from Jasdero and turned the blade stabbing David through himself.
David gasped and looked down between them “Your crazy… You stabbed yourself…”
“Maybe I am… But I’ll do anything to protect those I love and care about.” Coughing up blood he pulled Mugen free and turned kicking David away and sending a final attack his way killing him watching him drop to the floor Kanda panted “Hold on Mugen… Little longer please.” he flinched closing his eyes as more Tease swarmed around him tearing at his clothes and skin shredding them to pieces.
The shredded jacket and shirt fluttered to the floor as he attacked all out the new tease killing them.
His chest was pale, Sweat clinging to him the wound from Mugen still bleeding causing a trail of blood leading down his stomach. His tattoo glowing before spreading over his chest and shoulder.
“What is that thing…” Tyki asked curiously tears drying on his cheek from the deaths of the twins.
“My guarantee that your going to die.” Kanda charged for Tyki, Kicking him suddenly and sending a few attacks to him one after the other.

Road stood crying beside Lavi and Allen box unable to get into Kanda’s mind, She continued watching as Tyki took hit after hit from Kanda blood pooling on the floor below him his white shirt stained with blood.
“I’m sorry Road-Sama … I failed.” Tyki gasped out a bloody smile on his face. He collapsed as Kanda’s attack ended taking his last breath the Tease that served him eating him leaving nothing behind.
Kanda turned to Road the tattoo once again glowing on his chest. Road wiped her eyes and straightened “You’ve killed 4 of us now.” she stated easily
Kanda nodded panting heavily the dark vein lines spreading over his face. “And I plan on taking you down to… and this time you cant run not after killing your family.”
She laughed and sent pink candles flying towards him at high speed… One hitting him through his leg the rest missing.
He winced moving away, Closing his eyes and began muttering rapidly in Japanese Mugen began to glow once again, Pulling the candle from his leg painfully he screamed in pain before running towards Road, Jumping and dodging more candles that she sent his way, sending various attacks back to her a few hitting her.
He muttered loudly in Japanese and sent an attack that the other exorcists had never seen before… it restrained Road in what looked like a glowing flower vines wrapping around her… She tried struggling against it unable to break free. “Let the others go Road.”
“No I can still kill them..” she used most her strength summoning more candles having them surround both boxes and started going inside them… Lena Lee screamed and tried kicking them.
Kanda looked from the crying Lena Lee and then to the stunned Allen and Lavi who were watching him intently. “I will protect you all…. Mugen lend me your strength one last time please…” he limped forward to Road holding Mugen to her head a light encasing them both.
Road screamed in agony as the attack from Mugen attacked her mind first causing her attacks to drop freeing the other exorcists… Lowering Mugen to her chest he muttered one last attack before stabbing her through the chest as she faded and died he pulled Mugen free… Stumbling backwards

Kanda collapsed to the ground Lavi and Allen ran forward to his side… Bookman held Lena lee up as Finders, Medics and Koumi ran outside.
The finders and medics carried Crowley and Kanda inside while Koumi helped with Lena lee escorting them down to the infirmary.
Medics took Kanda to a private and left on Koumi, Lena lee, Allen, Lavi and the Bookman alone with Kanda. While they went to work on Crowley in a different room..
“What did you do Kanda.” Koumi asked the still panting Kanda.
“I protected my family…” Noticing the stern look Kanda sighed heavily “I bonded with Mugen and learnt some new attacks during my mission.”
“And how long were you in level 3”
“Don’t know and I did level 4 attack on Road… Don’t think I’ll recover this time around.” he replied slightly breathless.
Koumi nodded sadly and stroked his bangs free from his face “I’m sorry Kanda.”
“I’m not besides she is safe….” he broke off coughing harshly blood now spattering his chin.
Koumi lent down and hugged him whispering something in his ear, Kanda shook his head slowly a small smile on his lips… Koumi slowly returned the smile and moved aside Lena lee coming to sit beside him.
“Why Kanda..?” she asked tears still on her cheek.
“To protect those I care about… And I do care Nee-Chan you were always there for me.” he closed his eyes a moment fighting to stay awake “I need to talk to Allen and Lavi can you fetch my hourglass and art book please.”
Lena lee nodded and stroked Kanda’s hair from his face wiping the blood from his chin and stood leaving the room.
Kanda looked to the others in the room and waved them over, Lavi and Allen came either side of him each taking a hand in their own.
“Bakanda why’d you go and risk your life.” Allen said forcing a smile
“Moyashi… Not over yet…I need to say this though.” he said panting harshly still
Lavi squeezed his hand “Your strong Yu… You’ll recover… you have to.”
Kanda shook his head slowly “Not this time Lavi…. But you have to know that I still Love you… both of you… I never stopped.” pausing taking few deep breathes “I never stopped loving you and I wish things were different, That we had second chances… I needed you both so much I was scared of losing you so much that I hurt you… I’m so sorry.” A few tears started rolling down his cheek.
“Don’t be sorry Kanda we love you to.” Allen said stroking Kanda’s hair
“Short stack is right Yu we love you and we always will love you.” Lavi said leaning down kissing him, Kanda closed his eyes into the kiss moaning slightly. Allen smiled and leaned down after Lavi pulled back kissing him to.

Lena lee came in carrying the hour glass only 4 petals remaining and a largish drawing book… “Kanda I have your things you asked for.” she said placing the hourglass on a bed side table and placed the book in his lap.
“Thank you…” He wheezed out and coughed again opening the book handing 3 to Lena lee 3 to Lavi and 2 to Allen.
“I’m so tired…” He said eyes drooping slightly
“Then sleep Kanda, Were not going anywhere… we love you and are not leaving your side.” Allen said stroking his hair.
Closing his eyes fully Kanda fell asleep his breathing still irregular… Lena lee looked down at the pictures Kanda had handed her
First picture was :- Her smiling holding onto a empty tray against her chest… her eyes closed in happiness her long hair in pigtails.
Second picture was :- Her and her brother enjoying a picnic outside in the summer sun, Trees and wild flowers surrounding them both… Details were stunning like a photo graph.
Third picture was :- Her and Kanda when they were younger, Kanda’s eyes were closed a hint of a smile on his face in the picture as Lena lee was brushing his long hair… her eyes sparkling a smile on her own face.
She gasped as she looked at them “He did like them…oh Kanda.” She said sitting down smiling.

Lavi looked down at his own pictures.
First picture was :- Him in a bed sleeping on his stomach his head to the side his face peaceful in sleep… He bare shoulders have scratch marks on them made by Kanda during a lovemaking session.
Second picture was :- Him and bookman in a library, Bookman was sitting cross legged on the floor reading from a large tomb, Lavi sat back on his stool hands behind his head his green eye standing out against his red hair, a pile of books in front of him on the table.
Third picture was :- Him and Kanda when they first got together both smiling at each other both topless leaning on each other love clearly in there eyes.
Lavi had tears flowing down his cheek not caring about those in the room with him as he stroked a finger over the picture.

Allen was looking at his pictures
First picture was :- Allen alone in the garden laying on the grass staring at the clouds looking relaxed one hand under his head the other across his chest.
Second picture was :- Him and Kanda… in it Kanda was sitting up Allen was laying on his knee a smile on his face his eyes closed as Kanda running fingers through his hair Kanda was smiling… Marks covering his body from Lavi and Allen.

They all sat by Kanda’s bed watching as another petal fell in the hourglass, Kanda himself was asleep his breathing still harsh.
Bookman watched silently from the corner a second petal falling…They stayed by his side all night
Kanda’s breathing started to slow down and a glance to the hourglass showed only one petal remaining Lena lee and Koumi lee stood by him whispering there goodbyes to Kanda… Lena lee crying silently “I’ll miss you Kanda… My brother… Aishiteru Kanda-Kun.” she kissed his forehead and stroked his hair before been lead away by Koumi.
Allen also leaned down beside him whispering his farewell “I love you. Yu Kanda, You showed me true happiness, And how to be myself…You made me a better man… Thank you so much for been with me even if it was for short time… I’ll never forget any moment we spent together…I’m going to miss you so much.” leaving a small kiss on his lips before moving back to hold Kanda’s hand.
Lavi sniffed and leaned down by his ear. “I wish you didn’t have to leave us… I need you… who is going to keep me in line now. I love you we love you and it hurts knowing this is last time I get to say it to you… Never forget your loved Yu.” Kissing him briefly wiping the tears that fell onto his cheek before pulling back to hold his other hand.
They both felt a weak squeeze of their hands as Kanda’s breathing evened out before stopping altogether his grip on there hands slackening altogether.
Bookman came over and laid a hand on Lavi’s shoulder “He was a great man Lavi… No-one will ever forget him.” He said before walking out to inform the rest of the order who were waiting for the news…

The last petal floated slowly down to the bottom of the hourglass as Lavi and Allen were left behind to grieve alone over there lost love both crying silently as they held his hand
