Mira woke to her brother talking to someone out in the hall. She listened to what they were saying.
"We didn't know you would come back."
"I wasn't planning on it, but news about Mira's pregnancy reached my ears."
Mira thought she knew the voice, but wasn't sure, she got up, and dressed. As she was throwing on her dress and yanking it down. She ran out into the hall, and looked up, gasping.
"Mira!"
Keith turned around and went over to her. He put his arm around her shoulders and a hand on her stomach, and helped her over.
"F-father?"
Professor Clay looked at his daughter, and he was shocked to see how far along she was.
"Mira, I didn't realize how far along you were. I thought you just got pregnant."
"Father, when did you.."
"Today."
Mira looked at Keith. He nodded.
"Father, are you, really staying with us?"
He smiled.
"Yes."
Mira smiled and gently hugged her father, glad to have her family completely back, and then some.
The next morning, Professor Clay woke up to the smells of breakfast, and he got up. As he put on his glasses, he walked into the kitchen to see Mira at the stove.
"Mira, you cook?"
"Everyday daddy!" She said as she put the eggs and bacon on the table.
"Do I smell bacon?" Keith asked as he came in.
Mira laughed as he wolfed down a couple of pieces. Clay sat down at the table and helped himself to some food while Mira put out the drinks. As they sat down to eat, they heard a knock at the door.
"If it's for me I'm not here." Clay said as he eat.
Keith got up to find that a member of his fathers team had come to their house.
"Can I help you?"
"I am looking for your father."
"And you think he's here?"
"Yes."
"Dude, think about it, why the hell would my father, who was so uncaring and selfish to his own two kids show up here?"
"Well, uh…"
"The answer is no. You ain't none to bright, are you?"
"No sir."
"GET OUT OF HERE!"
The guard scurried away and soon left. Keith went back to his father and sister.
"You have one worker who is more dumb then Cecili is."
