Forbiden Destiny
Forbiden Destiny
In one of the many theme parks of Nimbasa City, was a black tent streaked with gold patterns. The inside of the tent was dark, dimly lit by black candles with burning purple flames. No one would go near the tent. Why? Because of the woman inside. She's a tall, slender African - American woman. Her black hair is like silk that curls at her shoulders, and her lips the color of blood. Her eyes, a yellow than glows brighter than the moon, and her smile like ice. A very intimidating woman indeed. The woman wore a maroon blouse matching to what a peasant would wear. The blouse was laced with black and gold designs, followed by a long layered skirt with a the same pattern. She wears large hopped earrings, and many, many bangles and bracelets. Her finger nails were red as her lips, almost looking like claws. In the center of her forehead was a ruby that would occasional spark with a faint light. Dipping into the crevice of her breast, a necklace that held a strange purple orb that flickered with life; If you looked closely shadows danced inside. Her face was hidden away by a cloak that blended with her outfit. Those who have gotten close enough to her, see her beauty but are so intimidated they run. Day by day she would stay in the tent staring into her crystal ball held by two Mew figurines whispering foreign words.
“The Gods are smiling upon us, Opal. She's been found, the one the prophecy speaks about. She's called Annabella Eloise Cordelia, does that name ring a bell to you?” From out of the shadows appeared a lilac feline with a red gem centered in her forehead. “Oh? A fellow member of the Cordelia line? Does that mean...”
“Possibly,” the woman smiled behind her cloak “She's from a land called Sinnoh, she's lives in a town called 'Eterna City'. Sounds to me like a place a budding psychic would live..”
“What does she looks like?”
“I can show you.”
The woman grasped hold of her crystal ball and began to chant the strange words again. Slowly a image started to form inside the crystal glass, the image soon became less blurry and more vivid. There was a girl, eighteen possibly. A petite girl, with long flowing black hair and big green eyes. “She's beautiful, wouldn't you agree Opal?”
“Yes,” the can sneered “But are you sure this human is the one?”
“Her aura, it's just like Lady Cordelia's. “
“Even so, how can we be sure, she's ready?” Said a new pokemon, a Liepard. “Even is she is a descent of Lady Cordelia, we don't know if she shows any potential; Are you willing to take that risk?”
“Are you willing to not, Leonardo? This girl may be our only hope.” The mysterious woman stood from her seat. She walked to shelve lined neatly with books and figurines. “This,” she said pulling a book held together by leather “Will guide her on her adventure.” She places the book in the table. She removes the necklace from around her neck and gently lays it inside the heavy book. “And this will help her communicate, I no longer need it anymore.”
Leonardo circled around the woman “If I may make a suggestion Madam',” the liepard purred “Perhaps we send one of our own?”
“Oooh clever, then we can keep a closer eye on the girl.” Opal grinned “But who?”
The woman circled her shelves running her fingers along the dusty wood. She stopped as her fingers brushed a certain crystal pokeball, When held up to the light it mimicked glass but was much stronger. “Madam' with all do respect you can't be considering him?”
“He's perfect.”
“The boy is still a child himself.” Leonardo argued “How can we trust him with such a mission?..”
“Because it is destiny.”
