Disclaimer:
I do not own Digimon: Digital Monsters, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Desperately Wanting
Disclaimer: Not mine; don’t sue. Man I get sick of writing these.
Warnings: Yaoi is the biggest one so far. I really haven’t written much and I’m not sure I will continue. I guess, we’ll see.
Notes: I guess it is kind of sad. That is about all so go a head and read, and remember to review!

Desperately Wanting

The moments dragged on endlessly. The awkward silence fell upon the room, drowning out the last words of the argument that still rang through the air. There was no need to say anymore. It was all over now.
Tai stared wordlessly at Yamato, who contented himself to stare right back. This fight hadn’t landed in blows but both parties were hurting more then they ever had in the past. This time, it was really good-bye.
Yamato dropped his gaze to the floor. He breathed in deeply and pushed himself away from the counter he had been leaning on. He moved slowly, almost sluggishly, across the room. He was too numb to do anything more. He walked over to the table and grabbed his over night bag. Tai said nothing but continued to stare at the spot where Yamato had last stood. He tipped his chair back a little, moving his eyes to where his boyfriend stood with his bag in his hands. He noticed the white knuckled grip on the handle, and the sharp intakes of breath that came from his lover. Or soon to be ex-lover.
Yamato stood near the table almost trembling. The anger he had felt at Tai not five minutes ago had drained away now, and left him a cold empty shell. The sad part is that even though his anger was gone and his head wasn’t clear, he could not recall what the fight had been about. But it didn’t really matter anyway. It wasn’t out of stubbornness that he intended to leave. It was true that this fight had been petty and small but there had just been to many like them in the past few months. He couldn’t take it anymore. He looked upon Tai once more, trying desperately to memorize his face. He did not want to forget this; it had been too good once upon a long time ago.
Tai never even glanced his direction. Matt turned away from him and went to the door. No more words were spoken, no more screaming, no more shouting, and no more blows. He touched the cold door handle and turned his head for one last look, praying for last words or even that Tai would stop him. He could just say stop, then run over to him and pull him into a kiss or even a hug. Whisper how much he would miss him and how he wouldn’t let him go. Except he never moved. Coldness swept through him and chilled him to the very bone, shaking his body so that all he could do for a second was hold onto the doorknob for dear life. If Tai wouldn’t even look at him, there really was no hope for the future.
Or their future.
But he gained control over himself quickly. He pushed the door open and stepped out into the world, the world that no longer spun for him. He broke into piece as he stepped into the sunlight. Was it too much for a little rain on a day like this? He shook his head.
He walked blankly around for hours. Wanting to go nowhere and having no place go. He walked through the park, the one that he and Tai had had their picnics at. Most of them had ended with fighting. It really wasn’t shocking that they should finally be over. It had actually seemed like they hated each other anyway. All it truly came down to was fighting and sex. Their relationship had been nothing more.
Yamato made his way through a dark alley, recognizing the place instantly. There was no denying where his feet had taken him. He pushed on through the gloom, refusing to turn around until shapes materialized around him. They moved in closer, ready to attack if it was necessary but recognized him immediately.
“Hey Yamato!”

Tai dragged himself away from the table. Sighing, he pulled himself to his room and collapsed on his bed, tears fell silently onto the pillows. Tai spent the rest of then night, on their bed, crying.
When morning came, he didn’t even have the heart to get up. Actually, he had no heart at all. Yamato had made sure of that. Groaning, he shoved the pillow over his head to block the light. It wasn’t right. Why hadn’t he stopped him last night? He should have said something; anything, and now he had lost him.
He vaguely heard the front door opening with a long slow creak. He pulled his head out of the pillow, hopeing against all hope that it would be Yamato. Footsteps drew near to the door and anticipation took a hold of Tai.
“Yama…”
The door opened but it wasn’t Yamato. Hikari stepped in hesitantly, taking in her brother’s haggard appearance.
“Oh, Tai. Did you and Yamato have another fight?”
Tai didn’t even nod. He pushed his face backing into the almost unrecognizably wrinkled pillow and began to sob. Hakari stepped into the room and moved to comfort her brother in any way possible.
“Tai.”
She sat down on the end of the bed and wrapped her arms around her brother. She whispered comforting words and gently rubbed his back, pushing his hair out of his eyes when he lifted his head to rest on her shoulder. She felt her heart breaking for her brother. He seemed serious this time.
His sobs soon quieted and Tai was exhausted. He fell into a troubled sleep and Hakari got up. She pulled the blankets on top of her brother and moved back. Turning off the lights, she gave one last look at her brother and shut the door, only then beginning to cry herself.

This should be a chapter fic but I’m not sure I will continue. I just found it and apparently wrote it some time last year. Review and tell me what you think and maybe I’ll write more. It’s all about the inspiration, and reviews certainly help.
