.> ... He he he... I pretty much read this the second it came out, but have not been able to review due to whatever circumstances have been going on. ^-^;;;

As per usual, wonderful chapter. I'm glad that all seems well so far, but you can tell something bad is going to happen (I mean... it already has a few times) and I am sort of worried about what's going to happen. Hopefully all will be well in the kingdom in the end, but this might be pretty bad, am I right? But let me not distract myself with ponderings of angst ( has a wonderful love/hate relationship with angst). What will happen will happen. But if I end up getting upset and re-reading the next bit while shouting "don't do that you idiot~"... it won't be anything new... I think I'll shut up now.

I suppose, as a small side note here, that you really can't fault Konzen, as you said. But, he does seem to worry me. If he somehow gets the upper hand... (images of angst) that could be bad for poor Gojyo and Hakkai, as well as the stupid monkey. ^_^

But anyway, Wonderful chapter, loved it as usual. And hopefully the angst won't be too horrible... I can hope, right? ^_^;;

Smashing chapter! I've come to realize that every chapter you put out seems to swell with climax; at certain points, I actually hear the swell of music when something as huge as Hakkai getting molested when younger is revealed (how ironic; I'm sure these aren't exactly the multiple climaxes you had in mind when you began writing this gem of a fic *lol*). I always really like the way you twist the character's metaphorical and physical scars to create a scene that is so subtly poignant, I get goosebumps. The whirling rhythm of this chappy compelled me to 'see' the scenes in fast flashes of near-still-frame pictures, and I adore such unique influence. Okay, my absolute favorite line in this chapter was a humorous, yet startlingly serious one: He wasn�t the type to see the beauty in the Pythagorean Theorem and he didn�t give a damn what a hypotenuse was. And whoa...the bits of symbolism you worked in with Gonou and the tree were mind-staggering. The part where Gonou peels bark off the tree, which compells Hakkai to clutch his scar was just...fucking amazing. *LOL*, but you're well aware how much the interweaving of abstract and reality 'does' it for me, and I thought that you did a smashing job creating profound nuggets that were equally hidden and hidden in plain sight. Also, Hakkai touching Gojyo's stomach...you clever cup. I almost missed that one, and still contemplate exactly how much you are meaning to imply with that action; the possible meanings seem so boundless, yet my interpretation narrows it down to a twisted reiteration of your main theme. Okay, other chappy faves included: *LOL* "gigolo general's finger"; "right/left turn, no signal"; clever usage of "cloth breadcrumbs"; use of shadow when Goku and Sanzo were together. Wonderfully written chap, and as for you wondering if anyone wants this to be wrapped up...*virtually smacks you*. There you go talking crazy again. Love this fic, always happy to see an update from you! Keep up the excellent work.

I've loved this fic from the start. with Sanzo's rude teasing of Hakkai, to the multiple selves showing up, to the Great Kannon showing up and pulling those tricks that make Juroshin moan. I've laughed, been on the dege of my seat, and cheered all at equal lengths, and i eagarly await more. By the way, i want Nii's bunny lady *dead*. ^_^ And I love the idea of Sanzo with an intimate piercing!!:D Keep up the good work please!!

I am back. :D

As always, another amazing chapter from you. And either that one was short, or I am learning to pick up speed on your fics. Cause in the beginning it would take me up to 2 hours to read one chapter. But I sat through it and read every word. *claps for herself*

But everytime I read it, it makes me sad because I can't write that good. I mean, I think I am good, sometimes, but after I read yours, I am like in a massive fanfiction slump where I write one sentence, and then give up. Baaaaahhhh, but I don't care. I have like 48 fics up on fanfiction.net anyway. Maybe if I wrote something other then 58, that would get me going.

Ha, I haven't even said anything about the chapter. I'm just groaning about how my life sucks. :P And you just read it. HA!

Just kidding. A good chapter as always.

But why do I get the feeling that Ah'nesty is going to either try and get with Hakkai or try and get with Gojyo??? That will make me sadddddd...

Yay! Another Chapter! I skipped out on work today, so I was able to read it uninterrupted.

As you know, I don�t like Goku/Sanzo pairings. Over all, the idea makes my stomach turn. I�m not young, so the idea of sex with a minor is not very sexy to me. However your portrayal of their relationship is very well done and sometimes fun to read. You took the time to remind the reader that Goku is AT LEAST the age of consent and not much younger then Sanzo. Thank you for that. You portray Goku in a way that is somewhat different from the Saiyuki story which makes their relationship more palatable. He�s simple, but not childish. Most of your reviewers hate Konzen for interfering with them, but I can see where it comes from. Goku was much younger when he was in Heaven, and I�m pretty sure Konzen was quite a bit older than Sanzo, so it makes sense. Besides, their exchanges are a great way to force Sanzo to face his feelings.

Ah�Nesty: Why do people hate her? I think she�s great and I love seeing Hakkai interact with someone from his past. It serves as an excellent opportunity to force Hakkai to reconcile his past with his present. How can he move forward and grow as a person if he doesn�t do that? And how can we ever get to squishy, sappy 5/8 goodness for the long term if he can�t? I loved that she had been looking for them. The subsequent exchange gave me the giggles. Although I did have to wonder how she was there that long without anyone addressing Sanzo as �Sanzo�.

And what of The Four Youkai and The Three Gods? Will they make an appearance? I personally love Kogaiji (especially with Sanzo *giggles*) so it wouldn�t hurt my feelings at all if they did. Did I understand your notes correctly that this story will span past the Kami-sama arc? Ohhhhh! I hope so. I have a lot to say about that, but I don�t want to put spoilers in a review.

Honrai Muichimotsu: Thank you for using that closer to properly. I have not seen the cultural notes on the ADV DVD�s (I downloaded all my eppies) but it must explain it fairly well. I think Sanzo doesn�t understand the meaning himself. Or he does as so many religious leaders do, and manipulates the scriptures meaning to fit what HE wants. I find these two Buddhist Poems to be much more descriptive of Sanzo:

Forgot to add something: Sanzo with a Prince Albert! Oh, that is deliciously dirty! I agree with Goku, totally frickin' HOT. Then Sanzo would be the hottest anime character in creation(not that he isn't already). Hot, blond, carries a gun, AND PIERCED! Gun kink and body piercings. Ohhh I could kiss you! Excuse me while I go get my aforementioned cold shower. Seriously, you make me go into fits of contented purring. And now people think I'm crazy. LUVITLUVITLUVIT!!!!!!!!!!!

I love you! That was awesome. You are so funny! Anyone who can give me my dose of Saiyuki humor and Saiyuki smut is definitely on my favorite people list!
Sanzo getting mad b/c they didn't get why Garfield was funny was great. Wonderful!
I have to say, seeing what you done with the 5x8 pairing has me hooked on it! At first I couldn't really see Hakkai with anyone else b/c he was so in love with Kanan but I get it now.
I was wondering, do you go off of the manga or the anime for this fic? I know you gave Kenren red hair in the Gaiden chapter(which I loved, by the way) but you have a way of making Goku seem a lot more mature than he is in the anime. I think they really make Goku seem stupid, which if you read the manga, isn't the case. Good job.
The interaction between the four of them is really well done. I love how you give Sanzo a sense of humor. It's there but just a little harder to see. You work that in well.
Please, please, please, don't just be teasing about the mirror thing! I got all tingly just thinking about it. I absoultely LOVE a uke Sanzo. Especially if it's with Goku. Really, thank you!
Sorry if this is kinda all over the place. I'm reviewing this on like three hours of sleep.
Love the story, love the development of the relationships, ADORE the steamy sex scenes that require a cold shower minutes after reading, and am extremely impressed by your vivid descriptions.
Do you write original stuff? B/c if you don't, you should. Take it from a fellow writer, you've got real talent! Thanks for sharing this, and for keeping it up. The chapters keep getting better and better!

I must admit, half of this chapter I skipped. Why? BECAUSE I HATE AH'NESTY. Well, just because she's an OC and has a past with Hakkai. Nothing against you, I just hate that stuff. Other than that, yay, update! I was reading what you wanted to get by before this ended, and was so happy to see the Kami-Sama arc up there. I hate Kami-Sama, but the pairing Kami-SamaxGojyo is just alluring to me. Of course, it'd be totally unwilling, but still! I still like it.

On to the good stuff! Goku is such a tease~. I was cracking up the entire time. Uke!Sanzo is the absolute best. Goku should be seme all the time~! Well, monky monk can be seme OCCASIONALLY, I guess. Fantastic job with those two! And of course, the lovely GojyoxHakkai. Voyureisim between these two makes me happy. That's just so sexy in my opinion. I'm such a sick freak. But, waaah! I loved it!

I feel for Kannon-Sama. She has stolen the worlds from my mouth. ..Kinda. AT LEAST IT UPDATED!

I just noticed the above question. That can be taken several different ways. You should noticed Legend references, English track references, Japanese track references and of course the imposters. Giggle. All of that is mixed in there one way or another. I have to admit a lot of that was fanservice. LOL! It also links back to one of Gojyo's comments about Sanzo and his newspapers. What news they weren't making didn't matter. So, this shows that there is some news being made -- correct and incorrect. Ever play the game "telephone" ? It's like that. Hmmm, guess I didn't make that bit clear enough. Ok, gotta work on clarity.

Ok, I�m a little confused about something (but that may just be due to watching all of Saiyuki: Reload in two days, and then watching some of Monkey Magic) is the party in question, the other Sanzo group �Sanzo priest and a human, but with them there�s supposedly some kind of water creature and a monkey� would that happen to be the group from �Legend of the Monkey King� (Monkey), and if so is that why Ah�Nesty says that the bald Sanzo is holy acting? And if so are there two groups going to India? (Hopes the question makes sense)

Yep just further proof I�m crazy , anyway, I still love how this story is going, I�m so glad you finally updated.

This was a wonderful tonic to my crappy week of temp work (I'm quitting because I couldn't hack it). Haha Goujuns so possessive and I'm learning the diffrence between pervert and letch. Seems to be that Gojyo knows he's a letch, I'm rambling. Although the Pervert Award must be wrested away from you and given to Kanzeon Bosatsu, she is the supreme pervert, Lord/Lady High Pervert. I get the feeling that if she got her way she would follow Goku's idea and they would all play cards. For some reaosn now, whenever I read your story, read the manga or watch the dvds I keep expecting her to jump Jiroshin ^_^ I think he'd enjoy it!!!
Advanced Hakkai-torture now, he can't keep anything safe although for some reason, him having a/considering a Prince Albert doesn't seem so unusual, I wonder why. My poor green-eyed baby, you just wanna cuddle him and make all the nasty angst-demon go way.
I think I see where the connection between the two half-breeds is but I'm gonna remain silent because I'm probably wrong.
I cheered when Tenpou laid out Gonou. He maybe part of Hakkai but I don't really like him, but then there's aspects of me I don't like (i can refer to my Gonou-voice as Black-Mind). Gonou is an interesting figure. I like your portrayal. Its an interesting thought to think that regardless of whether Kanan was there or not, would he have still become a youkai? Part of me thinks so.
Guild of Wenches, technically I should be a member of that. My housemate calls me Babs (after Barbara Windsor of Carry On films fame) and my nickname is Naughty Wench.
I'm also notice that Gojyo has his isntinct that he is needed, I recognise that from the manga, a yaoi whisper is always a good thing. One day I shall have to send you my "Yaoi list" from Saiyuki. Me and Neko-Chan went through most of the volumes and picked out every single yaoi whisper we could find (with some prime sake and Jack Daniels to ease the way).
When Flaxen returned, I immediately sat up and spat bitch at the screen (believe me its lonely here).
Oh dear too that Tenpou's starting to reconsider his actions of shielding Hakkai. I like to think that he'd actually survive knowing all those things. But we have a Gojyo there too!! He'll look after him regardless, who know it might make another connection to them.
Jealous Goujun is funny and my mouth fell open when you wrote the words lap-slut (thats been used to describe me before because I do lollop on people) I'm questionning your psychic abilities and wondering if we have some spooky-ass connection thang going down ... either that or you got a bug on me.
Vanilla Flavoured Sanzo .... hee hee he will have to learn that a starwberry-sauce monkey can also go on vanilla as well as rocky road (I'm hungry too, can you tell). Poor Sanzo, he thinks too much he's so jaded. In fact he's more jaded than Sanguinans eyes and Goku's being taked more than just maths lessons from Hakkai. Awwww ... even in nookie he's still a teacher (Kami Sutra 101 with Cho-Sensei complete with diagrams and experiments)
The tenderness between Gojyo and Hakkai makes me cry, it really does.
Oooh, oooh and its not even morning yet, I suppose I better get back to work ... hmmm ... oh I'll read through it again because no one knows I exist here.

When I first started reading RHOA I kept reading...and reading...and reading. Now I look for all the up-dates and go to your web-site every few days. It scares me when I become obsessive with anything, but you have easily turned out to be my favourite fan-fic author. Having had no previous viewing of Gaiden, I didn't really know what to expect. When I finally *did* get exposed, I laughed my ass off, cus I could think of nothing but your versions of the library and their discussions. I truly love the angst and romance that you put into this many chaptered love affair. It brings true emotions out, which is rare in anything I read (I haven't cried since I read 'The Yearling' and that was *ages* ago). Your use of visualations and words have become better as the story progresses. I love seeing artists grow in as their work blooms. I've found I can't listen to 'Open up Your Mind' at any time without thinking of the time when Gojyo was ripped from Hakkai and tortured. I cried sooo hard. Please, Please, Please let there be at least *one* happy ending (even if it's an alternate). They deserve that. And don't stop writing or I will hunt you down...^-^ Keep up the splendid work.

*lol* Aren't you tricky, making us think there was something kinky going on between Hakkai and Gojyo in the first scene ^_^ I loved Sanzo's sense of humor in this chappy, I know I've mentioned it a quazillion times, but I really think you've nailed Sanzo. Very dry sense of humor, and another underlayer that might almost resemble amusement...except, come on, it's SANZO. Konzen was quite well done, as well; the dialogue regarding a 'piece of the whole' was excellent, and one of those lovely sections that makes me stop and do a double take to contemplate the other implication. Also, the segue from 'Sanzo picked his ear' to 'Hakkai slowly lifted a hand..." struck me in a particularly visual way...it just fit together so well, I could easily form my own fade in when I read it. Also, excellent job with Hakkai's inner thoughts and the confliction between them and his behavior; always very well done in this fic, but he really stood out to me in this chappy. One of my favs with him was him imagining various ways to fuck Gojyo while blandly replying that they were unable to partake in outdoor activities XD I also really liked how you interspersed the previous bits of Gojyo's torture with the present. LOL 'justified monkey-icide' and 'this guy was fun. he threw sticks'. The symbolism of the apples was just freaking amazing; so well done and subtle that I almost missed it. Also loved the Dr. Suess bits, very unique perspective on that. And Goku's uber sweet dialogue about how Gojyo staff could cut his kite free, Hakkai could build a new one, and Sanzo would prevent stupid actions was just absolutely adorable and SO Goku...in fact, I think you basically summed up his entire personality with that one little section; an earnest outlook that runs a helluva lot deeper than anyone thinks or bothers to inspect. Loved it, and always looking forward to more from you; I don't think I need to emphasize how much I adore your balance of abstract and extremely concrete *glomps*.
