This is an interesting story, but so far I'm wondering why you chose AFFnet as the place to post it. Unless you've got plans to put something in later that's really going to change the tone of the story, it seems like you could safely post it on FFnet or mediaminer, where you'd get a lot more readers and reviews. In any case, I'll continue following it, and am interested to see what happens next.
