I'd forgotten about this, I'm glad I"m re-reading it. Hee, I have to wonder if Gouku and his original self Seiten Taisei will ever be reconciled? Heh, for that mater if Gojun will ever get to shapeshift into humanoid form someday?

Finally finished this. Whew! What can I say, love? You write a damn fine, engaging story. I really enjoyed the interaction between all of them. Even though he only plays a minor role here, I liked the way you wrote Doku and his relationship with Gojyo. It's so... family. I feel so bad for Hakkai here. So broken and trying desperately to hold everything and everyone together. You've been weaving a complex story together here. The canon background you've embellished upon for Hakkai is wonderful. The background for Gojyo is heartbreaking. And, I must say I loved the crackyness of the Merciful Goddess and her little meddling into the groups business. I will be looking forward to more.

So, I'm not exactly sure how I found your story - I know I ran into your livejournal somehow......but I have to say that I absolutely love this. Fanfiction is a new love for me, and I find that so many stories, while being entertaining, are not anything I'd remember past finishing the last word of the last chapter. Relax and Hang On, well, it's the first of your works I've read, I've not even started Chapter 6, and I find myself stopping. Not because it's not a good story. Not because it doesn't hold my interest. But because I have to stop and think about what I've read. And I have to stop until I feel like I can give this story more attention than I'm giving it right now.
I'm not a Saiyuki diehard. I still don't know why some stories refer to the pairings with numbers (WTF does that mean btw????). I have seen maybe 9 of the anime episodes and have read none of the manga. But I do find that I enjoy animes and fanfictions that dive into deeper character issues. It doesn't matter to me whether those issues came directly from the source or from the author's imagination. I resonate with characters like Hakkai and Gojyo. I feel like I've found a treasure in an antique shop when I come across stories that were written with research and care.
Again, I haven't even gotten halfway through this story, and I'm sure I'm not expressing myself well here, being that writing is not my strong suit. There's a lot more that I could say, but in the interest of not rambling, and being that this is just supposed to be a review, let me say that it is my opinion that you are an incredibly talented writer, and I look forward to reading more, just as soon as I get in a nap so I can be aware enough to *read* and not skim, comprehend without merely seeing, and share this story with all my friends who are currently smilingly indulging my sudden anime yaoi fixation.

Ch. 16 What we need here is a way to switch the evil bitch concubine with Kougaiji's mother. The bitch wants to be queen so much, she can take her place beside Gyoumaoh in hell.

Heh, I was thinking those clamps might not be for use on Hakkai.

[GRIN] Gujun is one happy dragon. So does that mean that Ah'Nesty was in the vacinity during that epic night of fucking where Sanguinans came out? If Gojyo didn't see her then, the only other guess I have is that he met her in the underground. If they *did* meet in that previous town and she got this far ahead of them, then she didn't miss the turn Hakkai did. And if Sanzo finds out then Hakkai's in trouble.

Ch. 17 Oh god, poor Gojyo. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't hit on a married woman, especially if he knew who Advowlkryie was. He's lucky he didn't loose something.

Yeah! Thank you for clearing up the whole kiss issue. In time he should get used to seeing it. Gojyo can only get more demonstrative.

Goku and Hakkai ganging up on Gojyo and Sanzo to make them behave. I like that.

You know, I'd wondered about that glass vial when it appeared in both the past and present.

Damn, I was afraid someone might be following them to the underground. Thank the gods all of them got out okay.

Hmm, who was it who gifted Konzen with that fan? I wouldn't be surprised if it was something Tenpou made. Everyone else has a weapon made from their spirit energy (Hakkai's just doesn't have a physical manifestation).

She believed the baby wasn't Gonou's because it didn't abort. Damn. And the baby is what Sanguinans is looking for.

All right, looks like we're setting up for Hakkai and Gojyo helping Ah'Nesty get past her problems. Be good for them, taking some time to rebuild lives for a while instead of just killing whatever's in their way. Then that gives the boys some experience with having a temporary third in their bed to show them it won't break their relationship. Which opens up room for Sanzo to spend a night with them. I think he'll agree in the end that putting up with Gojyo so he can have a while night is much better than just and hour with Hakkai. Goku obviously has no problem with bed swapping. And if the others don't feel comfortable with a foursome just yet, Goku can always go find Lirin. Oh look, she's headed their way. Perfect. Now, which one is Yaone schlepping, or can she get a two-fer. Don't know if Doku would be interested in Ah'Nesty, but that could work too. Or maybe my brain has gone overly hentai. No wait, too late, it reached that state years ago.

I want a picture of that first photo. What you've written exactly captures how Gonou and the two girls felt, but especially Gonou.

Ahhhh! Someone hit Gojyo up the side of the head! You love him, he loves you, enjoy it! Oh good, Hakkai saw the signs this time. All this stretching and coming back together gives them strength, which makes me wonder what kind of bad news we're headed for that will need that strength. Especially if it's *Tenpou's* memories that are making it a bad idea to return to Taikgen.

That settles it, Gojyo *has* to do something to make this right, since in his own eyes he helped make it worse.

I love all of the thought you've put into foreshadowing, so I hope you've decided to keep this up to the conclusion you originally intended and not to stop at Taikgen.

Ch. 15 [Sigh] at this point there's no way that Gojyo can trust Hakkai to use the safe words. And that *is* a trust between consenting partners for that kind of game, it's not just a one-way trust.

Okay, my theory so far over why Goku thinks it's weird when Gojyo and Hakkai kiss is because they aren't doing it with love (early on) and that anything done with live is fine, including sex. Now I'm confused. Why the heck is Gojyo and Hakkai kissing weird? Arrrgggg! Let the Monkey speak people.

Okay, the ending makes sense. They had it right the first night when Hakkai was in control. Gojyo even kept giving hints when he said that he he liked an aggressive Hakkai, but neither of them were paying attention. Thank the powers that be that Tenpou and Kenren are there.
