...awesome. i totally agree that mary sues are destroying fanfiction. i wasn't expecting the yaoi, and was pleasantly surprised. thanks for writing!!~

I liked the letter they wrote-- nicely put! I hadn't actually noticed a problem with Mary Sues in this fandom yet, but I'll keep an eye out. Still, like in Reigning On Heaven, some original chars can be great even when they influence the plot, as long as it's in keeping with the DN universe and they aren't self-insertions. Owl and Lady were actually wonderful characters...! I enjoy them in it.
One thing, though-- this needs a spellcheck! *grins* You probably already noticed that, but it gets distracting. Still, it's interesting seeing what you come up with in writing! Looking forward to seeing what else you make.

At first I was very confused... I had never heard the term "Mary-Sue's" and so I read intently waiting to become educated. I thought to myself, shit... I hope that I've never used a 'mary-sue' (although I haven't written anything for Death Note... yet) because obviously some people have 'firm' opinions about them. Then I finally understood that Mary-Sue's are OC's and totally agreed.
Way to get your feelings out there and the dialogue between L and Raito was brilliant... yeah, the dialogue and other things as well. ;)
