Chapter one: the manuscript
This is Yaoi, don't like, don't read. No flames please. I rewrote this story b/c I got one, and another one would totally crush me. Constructive criticism is welcome, though.

“No, I’m sick of it,” he said dismissively as he pushed the hands away, “I don’t know why I even bother with you.” “Look, I’m sorry, Yuki.” Shuichi cried, “I really didn’t mean to, I promise.” He slipped his arms around Yuki’s waist as a way of reconciliation. Yuki pushed him away roughly and stared at his at the soaked mess that was his laptop. “I’m done,” he said with seriousness in his voice. “But YYYYuuuukiii,” Shuichi said in a whine, “I said I….” “Shut up,” Yuki said angrily, “I’m sick of hearing your voice, that ugly, annoying, insufferable voice. I don’t want to hear it again.” Shuichi opened his mouth to say something. “Don’t say anything.” Yuki exclaimed, “I don’t want to hear it. I don’t know why I put up with you.”

He stared down at his hands as his breathing hitched. “GET OUT,” he yelled, “I don’t want anything to do with you anymore.” “Yuki, wait I.” Yuki grabbed him roughly by his arm and jerked him to the door. “Are you hard of hearing?” he said, “I’ve had enough, I’m sick of you. I don’t want to hear from you ever again.” He threw Shuichi out of his apartment, and shut the door hard. “Yuki, please don’t do this.” Shuichi called loudly, “Come on let me in.” He spent two hours listening to this before he finally snapped. He pulled the door open roughly. “I told you to leave.” he said, “Don’t you get it. You were just an amusing little plaything. Well, now you’ve outlived your usefulness.” “What are you saying?” Shuichi asked as tears threatened to spill from his eyes. “I don’t care about you and I never did.” Yuki said coldly, “You were just something I could play with, but now I’m sick of your whiny mouth and I want someone new to play with.” Shuichi backed away from him. Yuki couldn’t distinguish the tumult of emotions whirling through his eyes. Sloppy tears rolled down his cheeks as he backed away from Yuki and ran down the hall.

Shuichi tried to contact him many times after that, but Yuki adamantly refused to see him or talk to him. “What’s wrong with him?” Yuki always thought angrily, “It’s not as if I love him.” Gradually the phone calls and surprise visits ceased. Three years past, and Yuki pushed Shuichi from his thoughts, or at least, he tried to.

“Yuki-san,” a calm voice entered his dreams, “Yuki-san, wake up. I know you can hear me, Yuki-san.” “Go away, Mizu,” Yuki grumbled as he rolled over. “YUKI-SAN wake up,” Mizu walked over to him and shook him, “Hizomi sent me to get the manuscript. Yuki wake up.” “Leave me alone, Mizu,” Yuki yelled his voice spiking dangerously, “How did you get in here, anyway?” “You gave me a key, remember?” Mizu said, “That time I brought you home when you were drunk.” “Yeah well, I want my key back,” Yuki raised his head from his pillow and rubbed a hand across his face groggily. It always marveled Mizu that no matter what, Yuki always looked beautiful. His hair could be mussed and pointed and he would still exude an air of coolness. It was a rather admirable and remarkable trait. “Come on, Yuki,” Mizu said exasperated, “You’ve already made me late.” “Late for what?” Yuki asked his eyes sparking with curiosity. “Takanowa-sama wants me to help him with a patient.” Mizu said, “Thanks to you, I’m already late.” “I see,” Yuki said, “Well, you’ve wasted a trip. The manuscript isn’t finished.” “Great Yuki, do have any idea what Hizomi going to do to me if I don’t have that manuscript?” Mizu sputtered. Yuki stared at him with slightly hazed amber eyes. “I couldn’t care less.” Yuki said, “I’m sure you can handle your sister, now get out.” Mizu glowered at him, then turned on his heel and opened the door. “Oh, and Mizu,” Mizu paused still fuming, “The manuscript is on the coffee table in the living room.” “Yuki, you bastard,” Mizu yelled as he flew out the door and slammed it shut behind him. “Damn it, I’m late,” Mizu intoned as he rushed. He pulled his car into a large whitewashed hospital building.

“Thank you so much for coming Mizu-san.” Takanowa said as he rushed to shake Mizu’s hand. Mizu’s former boss hadn’t changed in the three years he had seen him. His auburn hair fell down to his chin, his slim body looked even slimmer in the white doctor’s uniform. His pale feature clearly pronounced the bags underneath his eyes, and yet also made the clear blue of his eyes stand out against his white skin. “It’s no problem Takanowa-sama.” Mizu said, “I’m happy to help. Please tell me about your patient.” “He came to us about three and a half years ago.” Takanowa said, “He’d already tried to commit suicide two times before we got him, and he’s tried one time while he was here. He nearly succeeded. He hasn’t spoken for nearly three years, and as of a year ago, he’s learned to communicate in sign.” “This should be interesting.” Mizu said, “Thank you for allowing me the opportunity.” “I’m just glad you moved back here Mizu.” he said, “I’m at my wits end, and I knew that only you could handle him.” “I hope so, Takagowa-sama.” he answered, “What’s the boy’s name?” “It’s Shuichi Shindo.” Takagowa said as they walked down the sterilized stretch of hallway. They stopped in front of room 211. “Good Luck,” Takagowa said. “Thanks Takagowa-sama,” Mizu said as he stepped into the room.

Ok, so that’s chapter one. Reviews are welcome, but please no flames.
