Shadine Tsukune

Tsukune is an ancient creature known as a Shadine, they are well hidden an actually like humans. In fact they are even more hated than witches by other monsters. They feed on monster energy and can go stronger by feeding on it.

Chapter 1 Power of the Shadows

Shadine creatures that dwell in the power between light and dark, unlike most monsters shadine do not hate humans and since ancient times have been the guardians of humanity. Not only do they manipulate shadows they also feed on the energy of monsters. No one has seen the true form of a shadine in a long time, because shadine can use powers outside of transforming. Another lesser known fact a shadine's shadow has its own personality and can move freely and even talk.

Tsukune's blood line holds this great power. It was passed through his father's blood line. For a long time Tsukune has watched over his family home feeding on monsters who break the rules and try to do harm to the humans.

Because Shadine don't need to feed its possible for them to blend into the human world perfectly, this being the case Tsukune's mother has no idea he's a monster. Tsukune has attended human schools, getting decent grades but when it comes to tests he has major test anxiety and flunks. As Tsukune walks home depressed that he has failed another exam there is a meeting between his father and the head master of youkai academy.

"You really think this is wise my son in youkai academy…?" Tsukune's father spoke to the headmaster.

"There isn't much choice in the matter, he has reached the age he must report to youkai academy for at least a year weather he stays or goes will be up to him after that point."

"But other monsters hate the shadine, he will be in danger…" His father protested.

"Enough the rules of monster academy will keep that fact a secret if he is revealed he will have to take care of himself…" The head master handed over a packet. "This is his, have him report to youkai academy immediately…" The robed man got up and quickly left. Having no choice he took the packet and headed home thinking up a good story.

His wife bought the story, happy Tsukune was going to get to go to school without waiting a year to take the next exam. "Oh Tsukune your father has a way for you to go to school, isn't it wonderful…"

"Umm…" Tsukune looked to his father who gave him a look and Tsukune realized what this was about. "Yeah it's great mom…"

Later that night…

"Dad this is crazy go to Youkai Academy THE Youkai Academy!" Tsukune was freaking out a bit. Both his father and grandfather told him stories of how much other monsters hate the shadine. Shadine are secret S class monsters but their rank differs based on the skill of their control.

"Look Tsukune it's only for a year, all monsters have to go to the academy at some point, just take care of yourself for a year then you can choose to return home."

"Let's do it, if any of those monsters mess with us we can play with them!" Both males turned to the wall where Tsukune's shadow was moving along the wall, his movements fully pumped. Tsukune chuckled. His shadow tended to go overboard but he did refrain from speaking when humans were around.

"Ok I'll go…" Tsukune said and both he and his shadow began to pack to go to the academy.

The bus for youkai academy arrived the next soon as Tsukune loaded his stuff and stepped on the bus the driver acknowledged him. "A shadine huh…well try not to get yourself killed…"

"Umm hehehe thanks I think…" Tsukune took a seat. 'How did he know I was a shadine?'

The bus driver chuckled and drove off. 'Guess I won't be seeing my family or the human world for awhile.'

Tsukune was taken to the monster side. He felt the aura of the barrier as he crossed over. 'Man what a barrier we could probably feed for years off its energy…' Tsukune's shadow spoke in his mind.

'Don't even think about that barrier protects the academy…' Tsukune spoke to his shadow. "Yea Yea I was just teasing…'

Tsukune was dropped off, and the bus driver wished him good luck before leaving. Tsukune saw the academy from a distance. "Guess I better get started…" He set off towards the academy.

As he was walked he felt another presence in the forest. "Look OUT!" He turned to the female voice that screamed the warning. A girl with pink hair came down speeding on a bike. The bike hit a rock hard and the girl was sent flying.

"Damn!" Tsukune snapped and with a wave of his hand his shadow reformed and became a massive hand the hand caught the girl with ease. The girl passed out from the shock. "Oh man a few minutes here and I already had to use my powers not good…"
