Lessons in humilation.
Chapter One, part I of II: The taming of Green.
Chapter summary: Green should have been more careful in his battling ways, least he bring down the collective vengeance of an entire Gym full of female trainers. A pity he wasn't. NO SEX YET, just plot/ build up.
Many of the prized plant-pokémon were just as bad off as their unevolved cousins. All but a few were irreparably damaged and even they would take months of deep healing at a pokécenter to recover to a working state. Seemingly oblivious to the wreckage enacted by his orders at every turn, or else simply too callous about the value of their life, Green's grin shone upon his face brightly as he marched up to Gym Leader Erika's downed form and dropped onto his haunches before her, one hand stretched out toward her tear-streaked face expectantly.
A quiet sniffle escaped her as she reached a shaking hand into her kimono and reluctantly pried loose one of the famed Rainbow Badges' tucked away inside. She gripped it tightly within her fist, ignoring the stab of physical pain from the pin on the underside, and thrust her hand at his own without opening. A single drop of blood raced down to splash across his palm, followed after a moment by another, and another still.
Green cocked his head to the side at her theatics. "C'mon, hand it over already," he jibed impatiently. Erika hadn't given him a sweat, nor her so-called Gym Trainers. He didn't even need to use a single potion, let alone take a pitstop at the local pokécenter, and the urge to get on his way to a real challenger again, like Koga, or even Sabrina, was already digging its heels in.
"Take your badge in the same cold blood as you earned it, trainer," she answered in a leaden tone. The soft footsteps of her equally emotionally-wounded friends approached almost silently, forming a partial ring behind his back.
Oblivious to the ire and cold rage burning within their eyes, Green shook his head with a fey snort and reached forward with both of his hands to pry her fingers loose, disregarding the coppery scent of her blood and the large splotch of life-fluid that spilled across his fingers when the Rainbow Badge lay glistening before him.
"Thanks," he stated sarcastically. He avoided pricking himself on the back as he plucked it from her palm and wiped it clean on the outside of his shirt, revealing the multifaceted hues anew, and smiled brightly again as he tucked it in to the badge case.
With the pin dug into the liner inside, he turned around and eyed the females hemming him in. "If you'll excuse me, I have another Gym to dominate." He nudged between the two Beauties with an appreciative eye of their amassed cleavage and was soon out the door, humming to himself.
When the door slammed shut, all four gathered before Erika. "What do we do now?" Tamia asked through gritted teeth.
Erika stared down at the blood pooling in her palm and spilling over the sides of her fingers. "..."
Route 16, late evening // Celadon Gym, night.
Pausing for a brief supper before heading down Cycling Road to vent his unused wrath upon Koga and his Poison-type Gym Trainers, Green yawned as the fire crackled and crisped the bought Spearow-meat skewers to a delectable golden-brown. He had just taken a sip of lemonade and leaned forward to snag the first skewer when something lashed out, slid past his eyeline, and looped up about his throat, just beneath the chin. He choked and reached up to grip at it with one hand, the other reaching down for his pokébelt, when a rock crashed into his fingers with pin-point precision in the dusk. Only a strangled yelp escaped his lips as his hand fell away, too numb to be used to grasp anything now.
He thrashed about, spilling the lemonade across his cloths and kicking over the skewers, nearly catching his shoes on fire, as the rope tugged and yanked him back into the darkness. He tried reaching with his other hand only to have another pair of rocks come dashing out of nowhere to nearly break his fingers. He dug at the smooth surface with his palm, gasping, vision tunnelling, to no avail.
In no time at all, Lass Kay and Picknicker Tina had done what no other trainer had managed to date - they defeated the infamous Pokemon Trainer Green Oak, all without ever having a single pokemon to their name to work with. With a bag over his head to ensure he heard and saw nothing and soon hogtied hand and foot, the noose about his neck loosened only enough to prevent him suffocating once he blacked out, the two Gym Trainers hauled their prize into the air and discreetly worked back into Celadon City through the forest nearby.
A splash of freezing, rather smelly water crashed into his face and shocked the unconscious trainer back to awareness. He sputtered, trying to regain his breath, and for several minutes all he could gather was a distant blur of sight and sound, like a hazy fog had descended upon his brain and mixed up all the signals. When it finally passed he found himself laying on his back, hands bound above his head to one of the handful of Bellsprout statues lining the vast and dark room.Only a couple of lights were lit nearby to illuminate the environment, but he placed it soon enough as his wits gradually returned.
The many females of Celadon Gym hovered overhead, and this time he did see their expressions for what they were - vengeful fury. A bit of his own temper flared, realizing he was also bound knee-to-leg-to-ankle. Circulation had slown in his lower body and made his legs feel dull and abominably heavy. A bruised ego pushed him to speak out irregardless of the potential danger and precarious setting he was in.
"I don't know what you're playing at, but knock it- oof!" Tamia, the dirty-blonde haired Beauty he had taken out first, drove her left heel into his gut harshly. He lurched up a moment before his binds drew short and yanked him back down to the cold earth.
"Shut up, you vicious murderer!" she exclaimed heavily. He coughed, trying to get his air back for the second time that night. Erika laid a bloody hand across her shoulder, the thin cloth she had apparently wrapped about the palm hardly sufficient to prevent fluid from oozing through with a wet squelch.
Tamia shivered, be it in further rage over her wounded Gym Leader or in disgust for the glistening contact, and relented with obvious reluctance.
Erika spoke up after a moment, eyes downcast and hidden behind her deep black bangs, "You have taken more than our badge today, trainer. You have taken our loyal friends and allies. You have razed us to the ground and salted the soil to prevent regrowth. This once-fertile terrain will never know a single blade of grass, a single lively root, ever again."
Around her the other women expressed their dismay at her unbending certainty with a stifled sob, a bitter grunt, or in Tamia's case nothing more than the jab of her heels one after the other into the black-brown soil, who was simply too furious to make any other noises.
Green blinked and tried to sit up again, wheezing as the air came back into his lungs in small inhalations. He managed to verbalize his faint thoughts, at least in part. "S-so what--" he began, intending to ask them what they expected of him in recompense, but he fell into another racking cough that postponed his words.
Erika leaned her head back to glare at him with righteous wrath splashed across her features. She knelt down beside his head and slapped him across the face with all the strength of her good hand, and for a relative waif of a woman, she posessed an abundance of power in her arms. His head lurched aside and his teeth clacked together loudly, head ringing from the blow. Cheek pressed to the cold soil, his vision tunneled until all he could see was a distant glint of window far away.
What... what's happening? he wondered around the pounding in his skull. Too much trauma was leaving him severely disoriented and borderline confused over his position. "They're just weeds, they'll grow again anywhere in Kanto..." he muttered deliriously, and not nearly softly enough to avoid detection.
"So you do not care. I had hoped this knowledge would earn even a sliver of remorse in your eyes, that I would simply report our losses to the Indigo League and ask a penalty delivered to your trainer card and ID for such terrible losses. Even rehabitilation lessons to calm your ferocity. But no," Erika paused to turn his head back to the ceiling above and leaned it forward so that their gazes met, hard glare to dazed befuddlement. "You have shown yourself without care to the pain given to others so long as your quest is fulfilled. Very well. Let us see how you feel about receiving this heartless gift in return."
Rising to her feet with a winch, Erika spoke quickly to the others, particularly the two youngest, Tina and Kay. "You should not be present for what follows, but I will not forebid you to watch, not after what he has done to all of us. I may yet require your rope and knot skills again tonight, Tina."
Green blinked and turned his head back toward them.
A/N: Alas! Interrupted! I waited too long to start this after brooding over the concept for a month! My usual end-of-the-year fic. This one I actually plan to update somewhat often, but I'm outta time for today/night and I have to get it up before I'm offline celebrating the New Year! On a side note, I originally planned for this to be Red rather than Green, but I was writing him a bit too... asshole-ish, so I figured Green would fit the bill better! So I'll see ya next time!~Ulforce
