Raw: T_T! If you think it\'s "messed up" now, I better stick a warning when it gets worse...

Link: You have MSN? I must add thee! But yeah, Angel might be a virgin, but there isn\'t anything to say she\'s never masturbated and has a voracious sexual appetite...Like me ROFL. Minus the - TOO MUCH INFORMATION FOR READERS. xD But ah. 9000 what?.. *Confuuuused.*

------------

"Well." Oak said, eying the sickening mess of Poliwrath within the Gym, his hand cupped under his chin. Poor Misty had been taken to the Pokemon Center by the paramedics, as she\'d hit her head on the hard floor of the Gym when she fainted. Nurse Joy had phoned Professor Oak, since he would be the only person in all of Kanto that would know what exactly happened to the pokemon. Angel was kneeling, holding a KOed and weak but alive Moonlight in her arms as Gary merely stood there, arms crossed over his chest.

"What exactly happened?" Angel questioned, running her hands through Moonlight\'s short, blood encrusted fur.

"You said the Poliwrath used Hypnosis, and Moonlight used Confuse Ray, correct?"

"Yes. They launched at the same time, and they collided in the middle.

"Hypnosis is a Psychic move, and Confuse Ray, a Ghost. They are both super effective against each other, but neither of them are intended to cause damage. But, a Psychic move under most circumstances hardly touches a Dark type, and a Ghost move hits a fighting type normally. Since Fighting trumps Dark, and Moonlight was a higher level, I believe the two attacks hit, started reacting against each other, and since the two users were counter-types, the many different pokemon types reacted with the other much like Sodium and water, or Chloride and water. The effect is explosive, where as when you combine the two outside of water, they cancel each other out and become salt. In this instance, I believe we\'ve taken the flame to the napalm. Since Moonlight weakened the Poliwrath ahead of time, it lost energy to fuel it\'s attack, and stopped his attack. Obviously, the orb of conflicting energy lost the balance, and since it\'d been fed that length of time, it was far more powerful than any pokemon attack. It hit the Poliwhirl, and...boom."

Angel frowned. That poor pokemon.

"Is there anything we can do for it?"

"I\'m afraid not. You can\'t heal mortal wounds like that - its not like a battle, Angel. I\'m afraid her pokemon is dead." Angel stood, after placing her pokemon on the ground. She\'d have to put him in his pokeball to get him back to the Pokemon Center. She couldn\'t very well carry him up the ladder.

"Moonlight, return. Just for now, I promise." For the first time ever, the pokemon was withdrawn back into his pokeball. He would have whimpered, if he had the energy. "Come on, Gary. Let\'s go see how Misty is. Something tells me she\'s going to be a little shaken."

"Mmm?" the red headded Gym leader muttered, as Angel and Gary stood nearby. "Where?..." her eyes flicked about, confused for a moment. After a time, she realized where she was, and what had happened. Nurse Joy had taken her in to the Pokemon Center, and she\'d been sleeping in a bed meant for a larger pokemon. "Where\'s Shimmer?..." she muttered, rubbing her eyes. When neither trainer said anything, her face, and heart, fell. "Shimmer isn\'t going to be okay, is he?..." she voiced her thoughts, as her tears started to well up in her eyes. She was usually so tough and hard-skinned, but this wasn\'t anything she\'d ever had to deal with.

"I\'m sorry, Misty..." Angel replied, sitting on the bed beside her. "There\'s nothing anyone can do..."

"I guess this means I need to make a trip to pokemon tower..." the Gym leader spoke, her voice sounding shaken and numb. Angel had no idea what to say. What COULD she say? The girl had just lost her pokemon - for good.

"I can\'t imagine losing Moonlight, I have no idea how badly you feel..." Misty said nothing, and kept her arm folded in her lap. Her head was bowed, as if she hadn\'t quite come to realization what exactly had happened.

"I\'m sorry to interrupt," spoke Nurse Joy, as she stuck her head in the door. "Your pokemon is ready. He had to run through twice, but he\'s in good shape now." The red-and-white pokeball was handed back to Angel, who wasted no time setting him loose. Even if Misty had just lost her pokemon, she wasn\'t going to put Moonlight through hell to spare her.

"Breon..." Moonlight spoke, as if worried about Misty\'s reaction to him. He made a point to shy away out of sight, curling behind Gary. Misty tilted her head to look at the little illegal black cat.

"Hey there little guy. I\'m glad you survived, too..."

"Breon?" he replied, poking his head out from behind Gary\'s legs.

"You\'re in good condition. Take good care of your trainer, okay?..."

"Breon!" he nodded. Strangely, this human wasn\'t half as upset as she should be. Internalizing was just going to make it worse. Moonlight stepped out from behind Gary, and placed his head on Misty\'s knee. Her hand rose, and absentmindedly began to scratch at his head.

"Misty - would you like to travel with us until we get to Pokemon Tower?...Being alone might not be that good for you..." Gary finally spoke, emerging from his veritable cloud of thought.

"...No...I\'ll just go there myself...I\'ll take what\'s left of Shimmer and give him a decent burial...I think I\'d rather be alone...You two had better carry on; Serge leaves for vacation in a few hours or so..."

"Are you sure, Misty?..." Angel frowned.

"Yes, go...It\'ll take you that long to get through the underground...Go, I\'ll be fine. You don\'t have much time..."

Reluctantly, Angel and Gary left. They hadn\'t wanted to, but if Serge was leaving for vacation, they had little choice. They could always try and catch her in Lavender - she likely wasn\'t going to leave for a while. Sighing softly as they stepped through the grasses leading to the underground, all three remained silent. All they could think about was Misty, and her obvious state of shock. Not very many people had their pokemon blown up. Silence gripped them as they shuffled along the long, monotonous underground path.

"Breon?" Moonlight muttered, as he shifted his ear. It felt heavier, and a mass was there. Turning his head towards Angel, he blinked. "Breon!" he tried catching her attention, as if to say "What\'s on my ear?" Angel heard the distress in his voice, and glancing down to him, she gave a faint gasp.

"Where did you get that?..." she muttered, picking the tear-shaped blue badge from his ear. "The Cascade badge? Oh Gary, she gave Moonlight the badge..." Angel spoke, her tone obviously concerned. She hadn\'t deserved it; she\'d blown up her pokemon, and Moonlight wasn\'t any shade of conscious at the end. She would return it the next time she saw Misty.

"MOONLIGHT, USE BITE!"

"Breon!" the pokemon replied, running headlong at the rather large and equally leveled Magneton as it began to charge a Zap Cannon. Umbreon\'s brave nature might hinder speed, but the Magneton seemed as slow as molasses. As a result, Moonlight\'s fangs came crashing down on the hard metallic surface of the Magneton\'s lower right eye.

"BZZZT!" the steel pokemon exclaimed, as dizzy eyes replaced the emotionless ones, the pokemon crashing to the floor in a KO. Moonlight landed on the floor, panting. Another hit and he\'d\'ve been down and out again.

"Breon!" he mewed out, puffing his chest out proudly.

"Magneton, return! Well, I\'ll be. I never would have figured some trainer with a strange pokemon would come in here and beat the tar outta my electric pokemon on the day I\'m off on vacation! Well, I confer upon you pokemon league Thunder Badge!" Angel happily accepted the rather floral-looking badge, pinning it on the collar of her black turtle neck, with the rest. One more, and she\'d look like a star fleet captain. "You did a good job, kid. I hope to see you beating the tar out of the League."

Smiling proudly as she left the Gym, Gary followed behind, thinking deeply. If she did make it through to the league, that meant that she\'d have to have a pokemon battle against him. But until then, she was learning how to be the best, from the best. Would he be the cause of his own defeat? Would that battle tear them apart? He could get very competitive and vicious in battle - he didn\'t want to get too angry with her. He knew he would when he lost. He used to get very angry when Ash beat the hell out of him. How that kid made it through the league before him wasn\'t any wonder.*

"Hey, you look like you\'re deep in thought." Angel muttered, as the two made their way along to Lavender, to catch up with Misty. She had stopped and turned around, and had jarred him from his thoughts only seconds before he plowed into her - which he managed to avoid.

"I was just thinking about you, Angel." he spoke. Half true, but she\'d likely not press any further.

"Oh, well that explains the complex look on your face," she grinned. "But what about?" Shoot. So much for that thought. He\'d have to think of something quick.

"I was thinking about this morning," he spoke, and almost immediately smacked himself. Brilliant, Gary.

"Oh?" she grinned, as if she\'d known it the whole time. She surprised him a bit, and wrapped her arms around his waist. She was acting much more sexual than he could ever hope. Not that he was complaining... "What about?"

"Well, I was wondering if you\'d ever let me do that again...If I can keep you."

"Keep me?" she grinned, trying to play coy. "Whatever do you mean?" For a rare once, Gary smiled as he slipped his arms around Angel\'s shoulders.

"I guess I didn\'t make it official, did I? Angel, would you be at all interested in being my Girl?" Angel\'s entire face lit up like a Christmas tree.

"I wouldn\'t have it any other way." she replied, leaning up to kiss him tenderly. Something told her, no matter what happened, she would be okay; she had her Gary.

*I realize that in the game, Ash beats Gary. I\'m tweaking this as if it happened the other way around.

Bit choppy, but yeah.
