I’ll Get Back to You
Fuji listened to Jiroh talk, smiling often as the boy digressed from his own tales to say something irrelevant or comment on something he saw out of the window. He sipped his tea and looked down at his watch realizing he’d been out later than he had in a long time.
“Fuji-kun?” Jirh leaned forward and blinked. “Fuji, Fuji-kun?”
“Hai?” the boy answered looking up.
“Do you have to go home?”
“No, I just realized I’d never been out this late in a while. I’m having fun.”
The orange haired boy smiled, lacing his fingers together. “I know I just talk forever! But really you want to hear about me and Keigo-chan, hm?”
Fuji just smiled, having been found out. He knew Jiroh was just playing around with his clueless act, but he wanted to know why he persisted in it for so long. The boys smiled at each other, Jiroh leaning back in his seat and poking the straw in and out of his third soda.
“He told me I was cute...in a stupid way. I didn’t know what that meant, but he said he liked me so I let him kiss me.” Jiroh looked out of the window. “Make no mistake, I do like Atobe...he’s handsome...but he’s just so mean. All the time.”
Fuji rose his eyebrow. “How do you mean?”
“Jiroh, you’re so lazy and stupid or Jiroh, you can’t sleep during sex because then it’ll be like fucking a warm corpse or Jiroh, shut up, I don’t pay you to talk or Jiroh, don’t bother thinking, you’ll hurt yourself!” the boy tapped his lips, humming a bit. “He also made some nasty comments regarding my hair color...and other things...but I could never figure out if he didn’t like me so much why was he always trying to sleep with me and kiss me and cuddle me when we were asleep. Kabaji was nicer to me.”
The tensai blinked. “Kabaji?”
Jiroh shrugged. “I cried alot...when I was with Atobe...or when he was finished with me...or whatever and Kabaji would pat my head and be like ‘dai-jou-bu’ and I’d be like ‘no’ and he’d be like ‘Usu’ and I’d have to be alright because you could tell he cared.” Jiroh smiled broadly. “Kabaji is so nice. He gave me a pillow shaped like a cupcake for my birthday last year.”
The brunette was stunned. The reason he’d gotten rid of Atobe, well, one of th reasons, was because of Kabaji.
“He doesn’t...freak you out? Watching all the time?”
“Eh?” the boy blinked. “All you have to do is ask him to go...or he’ll leave on his own if you can see you really like Atobe.”
“He never left with us.”
Jiroh closed his eyes, smiling and leaning forward. His eyes cracked open a sliver. “Then that means a) Atobe told him to stay to gage your affection b)Kabaji didn’t think you were good enough for Atobe or c)...” the boy giggled. “Kabaji had a crush on you!”
Fuji turned crimson then shook his head. “Are you for real?”
The other boy shrugged. “So Kabaji’s a bit huge and quiet...he has a heart too.”
This made the tensai think. Perhaps he’d been to hasty but in light of what Jiroh told him about Atobe...
“I think Atobe really likes you though.”
“Hn?”
“All he could talk about after you got together was you...and I’ll bet he didn’t insult you at all. He’s been with Oshitari too...and broke his heart. But he still talks about you...even though he tries to talk bad about you, he’ll just stop and stare out the window or something.”
This made Fuji’s stomach jump. Atobe still liked him.
“That’s good to know. Thank you.”
Jiroh nodded. “Yep yep yep....but I wouldn’t go back.”
“Why?”
Jiroh stared him right in the eyes, causing his own to open slightly.
“You’re not really in love with Keigo-chan. Just flattered.” Jiroh stood then and fished some money out of his pocket. “Thanks! I love soda!” He put some bills down on the table and left the café humming and saying “hi” to random people.
Flattered....?

Inui stared at his cell phone. There was a number highlighted and all he had to do was press “talk” and it would be done. But what would he say when the boy picked up?
“Hello Yagyuu-kun, I broke up with Kaidoh so we can be together now?”
The data player shook his head and put his phone down. How could he say that? He wasn’t even with Kaidoh, he never had been...but it hadn’t felt that way. Right?
He hadn’t emptied his recycle bin on the computer and the notebooks were still sitting in the trash. He’d even brought up another trash can so he wouldn’t accidentally throw other trash in there with them.
He leaned his head on his desk and sighed.
“Kaidoh....” He whispered.

Eiji’s eyes slipped closed as he panted, gripping the covers weakly. He felt like he couldn’t move, he just didn’t have the energy. He felt lips against his neck and he smiled, moving back into the warmth of his boyfriend.
“Eiji-senpai, daijoubu ka?”
“Hai...hai...” he nodded weakly and hoped Oishi wasn’t looking for him. He turned off his cell phone when he’d ventured over to Echizen’s house, hoping to figure out a way to ease Oishi’s temper. It’d started out nicely, they’d both come up with some pretty good ideas, until Echizen jumped him and they’d started rabbiting on the floor.
He felt arms slip around him and he whined, happy. His O Chibi had so much energy. He didn’t mind that he was the senpai. He liked Uke so much and O Chibi felt so good...
“You have to go home.” Echizen whispered to him.
“Hai...” Eiji sat up slowly, trying to shake sleep off of him. He was exhausted but pleased. “Hey, O Chibi, don’t tell Oishi. He’ll be mad.”
“I know.” Echizen sat there, the sheets covering his lower body. “See you at morning practice.”
Eiji put his clothes back on, coming his hair with his fingers. “Ja, Ryoma-chan.”
“Ja.”
The Neko left then, taking the way to his home at a leisurely pace. When he got home, he found Oishi waiting. The boy looked worried and hugged Eiji.
“Where were you? Your cell phone was off and I couldn’t find you.”
Eiji hugged him around the neck and kissed his mouth. “O Chibi.”
“With Echizen?” the vice-captain frowned. “I don’t like it when -.”
“I like it nya. Let me do what I want.” He kissed his boyfriend again. “Don’t be mad. And don’t hit me either!”
Oishi looked away. “I don’t do that anymore...”
“But you used to...” Eiji took his hands. “Stop being mad, you said we’d share.”
“But the other night I thought I made it clear that you were mine!”
“I am yours Syuichiroh. And O Chibi is yours and I’m his and so really...you’re both sharing me now!” Eiji giggled and tugged Oishi to him again. “Want to come upstairs?”
Oishi pushed him away and walked away to the street. Eiji sat on his steps and put his chin in his hands.
“You’re the one who treats me like a whore! Then when I do sleep around you get angry! Make up your mind, nya!” he called, a bit angry and tired. “Are you sleeping over or not!”
Oishi paused, cursing under his breath. Who was he kidding. Eiji was in charge, he always was.
“Oishiii!” the boy whined. “I said I’m tired. Are you sleeping over or not?”
Oishi charged back to the porch and Eiji got up slowly, opening his house and letting Oishi in with him.

A few days passed quickly and the Seigaku tennis team relished their Sunday after a murderous practice on Saturday by their Bucho. They all knew he was pissed about something, bu no one knew what and weren’t about to venture and find out.
Fuji considered looking into it, but he was busy. Busy baking.
Yuuta was due for a visit in a few days and he wanted to make sure his brother had something sweet to eat before they got into their eventual fight and the boy stayed locked in his room the whole night only to come out later and apologize.
He set the second freshly baked pie out on the counter and took off the oven mitts, smiling in satisfaction before he went back upstairs with a pitcher of lemonade for his guest.
“Jiroh-kun I -.”
Sprawled out on his bed like he lived here, Akutagawa Jiroh was sleeping away the afternoon...for the fourth time this afternoon. Everytime Fuji left to go check on something or go refill the boy’s glass Jiroh managed to fall asleep, somewhere, and look more comfortable than anything.
Fuji just laughed softly and decided not to wake him this time, instead going over to his computer and working on a report that was due Tuesday. For the past few days he’d been going to see Jiroh, getting more information about Atobe from him while at the same time, spurning the Captain every time he saw him. And it was bothering the hell out of Atobe from what Jiroh told him.
He wrote for a while until the door bell rang. His sister was out busy today and his parents were off somewhere. They liked weekends just as much as he did and often went to do things in town.
He went down to answer it and was surprised to see none other than Atobe Keigo at his door, looking mildly aggravated.
“Atobe-kun. Hello.”
“Fuji. Syuuske. Can I talk to you?”
“We’re talking now Atobe-kun.”
The wealthy Bucho suppressed a growl and blinked, sighing. “Can we go to my car and talk? It won’t take long.”
Fuji blinked and thought about Jiroh sleeping upstairs. He should be alright...but I should get back soon. I don’t want him thinking I left him...
He nodded and followed Atobe to his car. He sat in his familiar place and looked around. “I noticed you didn’t bring Kabaji with you.”
“No.” Atobe gestured to the small refrigerator. “Would you like drink?”
“No. What would you like to talk about?”
Atobe slid closer to Fuji, putting his arm on the back of the seat. “Nothing much...just you. And me. And why we’re not you and me.” Atobe looked at his nails. “So I made a mistake, said some things. I’m willing to forgive and forget as you are.” He caressed Fuji’s cheek with a finger. “Hm?”
Fuji blushed and Atobe took this as a good sign and leaned in to kiss what he thought was his again. His lips made contact with Fuji’s and the boy gasped a little, letting Atobe into his mouth. It grew heated pretty quickly, Fuji mewling softly as he was leaned back on the leather seats, the shoulder of his shirt already down.
I can’t do this! I have to get back to Jiroh!
Atobe mouthed his shoulder and Fuji pushed him away, face red, panting.
“What?!” the bucho growled. “Kabaji isn’t even here!”
Fuji shook his head. “I can’t do this...” He kept thinking and all he could think of was, “I have to get back to Jiroh” and he realized, face turning crimson that he was just flattered by Atobe and didn’t like him at all.
He opened the door and pulled his shirt back up, taking a deep breath of fresh air.
“Damn it Syuuske!”
“Good bye Atobe-kun. I’m sorry.” He closed the door and headed back to his house, closing the door and leaning against it.
He looked up the stairwell and it seemed dark. He traveled upstairs and went into his room. The window was open ad small breeze was making the curtains flutter. He looked at Jiroh sleeping on the bed and went over, sitting down.
He gently shook the boy’ shoulder, knowing by now this was better than roughing him up. “Wake up.”
Jiroh came to and sat up slowly, looking around. He saw the lemonade and his eyes lit up. “Hey! Lemonade!” He smiled at Fuji and rubbed the back of his head. “Was I sleeping again?”
Fuji nodded. “Hai...” he replied softly. “You were sleeping.”
The orange haired boy looked at the time. “Oh no! I’ve wasted almost all of the afternoon! Didn’t you want me to tell you more about Keigo-chan?”
The tensai shook his head. “It doesn’t matter now.”
“Huh? Okay!” Jiroh scooted to the end of the bed and poured himself some lemonade. He drank nearly the whole glass down. “Woo! This is amazing!” He looked at Fuji. “You’re a good drink maker!”
Fuji blinked and his whole face turned crimson. He looked down and felt his heart throbbing. All he said was I made good drinks. That’s all....yeah but that’s not all it means to me anymore is it...
“Fuji-kun?”
“I...also made a pie. My brother is coming soon. Would you like to taste it?”
Jiroh smiled. “Sure! Say...”
Fuji’s eyebrows went up.
“Do you want to kiss me?” He kissed fuji on the mouth. “Like that? Man that was great! You taste like sugar!”
The tensai gave a small laugh and shook his head. “Jiroh, you’re interesting.”
“Yeah!” the boy said, laughing. “Let’s go have pie.”
Fuji nodded and took the empty glass, filling it up before he and the other boy left the room.
Jiroh...

Kaidoh watched the ceiling, letting the air cool him after his shower. He’d trained hard all day and taken a shower and still, the day wasn’t half done. It was only four and the sun was only hinting that it might go down.
He looked over to the dresser where his cell phone lay. Jin hadn’t called, but then too...
The Mamushi’s face went red and he giggled stupidly, covering his mouth as if he’d just said something obscene.
They’d been at it pretty regularly since -
Kaidoh’s nose started to bleed and the boy grabbed at tissues. He had to stop this. It was only sex.
That’s right...it’s only s-s-sex...
Another giggle wormed it’s way out and Kaidoh growled in frustration. He’d been thinking about that non-stop lately and it was all his boyfriend’s fault. He liked it especially when Inui -
Jin! Jin! I like it when Jin strokes my back!
That had been happening a lot lately too.
He hadn’t seen Inui for days it seemed like. They weren’t talking and Inui was avoiding him. He didn’t even look in Kaidoh’s general direction and it was pissing him off. He’d gotten into more fights with Momo, but Taka always broke them up.
Seemed to be a lot of Taka and Momo lately too...
The Mamushi hissed. Momo could be friends with whoever he wanted....
Kaidoh sat up and snatched his phone. He dialed and waited. It picked up and he spoke first.
“Jin, it’s Kaidoh.”
“Oh, hello Kaidoh-senpai! Akutsu-senpai is busy right now!”
Kaidoh’s eye twitched and he growled.
Fucking Dan Taichi.
