Chapter Two: Lively Art
Chapter Two: lively art
A/N: I made Shuichi have chestnut hair instead of pink because it seemed more natural. Also, Mizu isn’t Yuki’s editor, he’s Hazuna’s brother. Hazuna is his editor. Mizu is a psychiatrist. Sry, for the confusion. Big Kudos to DemonLadySesshoumaru, you figured out where I got the idea from. I was fascinated with the episode where Shuichi loses his voice, and came up with this idea. Btw, I made up Hazuna, since I didn’t know who Yuki’s editor really is.
Mizu breathed in deeply to calm the rapid beating of his heart. He always got this way before meeting a new patient. He didn’t know if it was from excitement or apprehension. “Ready, Mizu-san,” Takanowa said as rested his hand on the metallic handle. Mizu nodded as he let out a large breath of air. Takanowa pulled open the door, and stepped into the room slowly. Mizu stared around the plain bleached room. The room seemed oddly devoid of life. Takanowa motioned for him to fallow. They walked to the other side of a rickety hospital bed.
Mizu stood frozen. He knew his mouth was hanging open, but could find no reason to close it. The small figure in front of him laid shockingly still. His arms were resting limply in front of him. His head was held unmoving on the cold linoleum. Dark chestnut hair was splayed across an ivory forehead, clear amethyst eyes stared, but saw nothing. His legs bent inward and seemed melded with the ground beneath him. Mizu could only marvel at Shuichi’s angelic appearance. “He looks like a Grecian sculpture.” Mizu thought, “It’s almost unreal.”
“Shuichi-kun,” Takanowa called softly as he stepped to the prone figure, “I have someone I want you to meet. This is Mizu-san.”
Mizu emerged from his thoughts quickly as his name was sounded. “It’s nice to meet you, Shuichi-kun,” Mizu said as he lifted out his hand to Shuichi. Shuichi pushed his body back while jerking into an upright position. He pulled his knees into his chest. His amethyst eyes held a kind of terror as he stared at Mizu’s hand.
“I should have warned you.” Takanowa said, “Shuichi particularly untrusting of people he’s just met. It will take some time for him to be comfortable with you.” Takanowa rested a hand on Shuichi’s arm. “It’s alright,” he said, “Mizu isn’t here to hurt you. He wants to help you.”
Shuichi stared at Takanowa, his eyes held no hope or spark of life. It was eerie to see. He had many patients that were definitely what he would call loony, but each one had some sort of liveliness to their eyes. They each had some spark of anger, betrayal, or a sadistic look that somewhat scared Mizu, but Shuichi was odd in the fact that his eyes betrayed nothing. They held no pain, no anger, they seemed empty. It was almost as if he had run the course of his feelings, and decided to let them go. He was terrified, yes, but patients were often that way. The look in Shuichi’s eyes frightened Mizu. It was a look that said, “I’m giving up.”
Ok, that’s chapter two. I know its super short sry, lots of homework. thanks so much for those who reviewed and Please continue to review.
