The Story Continues...

Chapter 2 is in! I\'m on a role (well I\'d like to think that)!

Before Chapter Notes:

Because of the multiple reviews saying that I had multiple spelling and grammar mistakes, I tried to iron those multiple of multiple problems out. It was odd they were there in the first place because I did use spelling and grammar check, plus a proof read.

I put A LOT more attention into the editing this time. I think that it improved both conventions and writing skill.

Hazmatt - I\'ll try and make this chapter flow a little better with more details and transitions (If that’s what you meant by \'A little more in the way of detail\', but I\'m not sure what you meant by you were caught off guard by the story (like in a good or bad way?)). If what you meant by me not staying in first-person, I did that on purpose. I kind of like the idea of first-person/I know everything story telling. Also if I get more complaints about poor grammar, I might need to you up on your offer.

Thank you for compliments’ on the story so far.

Oh, and open up Google translate for the story, you\'ll need it if you can\'t read Spanish.

Good luck to me I guess.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I maneuvered through the various twigs and rocks that were always located along the beaten path. I scoffed; it was as if there was a mysterious pattern that only I knew about. I knew I was approaching my destination because of the obvious arrow-designed burn marks scarred on the bark of the trees. I etched these arrows myself with my own fire for the lost or abandoned Pokémon, so they could find their way to the lot.
After a few more steps, a 25 foot wall stood before me. The wall had a long metal rod that branched out five feet from the top clearly sticking out for the rest of the wall. This marked that my backyard was on the other side.
With this immense 25 foot wall, I had some troubles; mostly because I had a high chance of tripping on the high point of the wall. Anything that would keep my face out of the ground was worth taking into account. Of course for that exact reason, my mom installed the rod so I could land on that then over the wall. I stored energy in my legs and jumped unto the middle of the rod. With another quick jump I vaulted over the rest of wall and onto the ground. None of our Pokémon seemed bothered by my dramatic entrance.
There were a few Roselias and Budews drinking from the water from the pond to my right. The field in front of me was full of fields, trees, ponds, small rocky mounds and a small make-shift dessert heated by round coils hidden in the sand. Many of the Pokémon were blissfully enjoying their own area of the lot. The climbing and various bug/grass-types in the forest section, the free roaming Pokémon in the fields, the rock-type Pokémon on the mountains, and the ground Pokémon burrowed under the fake dessert sand. A perfect oasis for Pokémon; I guess you have to have one to run a good Pokémon daycare.
I walked into the shed next to my landing location; I grabbed colossal bags of our custom made Pokémon food and threw them across my back. For me, the bags were fairly heavy, for a normal human the bags could barely be lifted. I\'m amazed that my mom can hook them up to the cart that she uses when I\'m not here. I walked out the shed and saw some of the Pokémon walk toward the metal feeders scattered among the fields.
I locked the door and started running towards the closest container. I don\'t know if it was more amazing, that I could carry these bags, or just that I can run faster than bronze medal Olympic winner with these things on my back. I skidded to a stop to gratefully release the bags onto the ground. I started cut the bag with one of my claws pressed against it and unloaded it into the bin.
I think one of my favorite, practical features are my razor sharp retractable claws. I never thought of it before but where does my claw go? I looked closer at the connection my skin and my fingernail. Nothing out of the ordinary.
I paid back attention Pokémon gathering at the food bowl, faces now full of our homemade Pokefood. "You fine? Do guys need anything else?" The Pokémon liked our food so much that the best yes or no was whether they lifted their head or not. No one’s head left there section of food. "Ok then."
I threw the bags over my back again and started towards my second food container.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 20 Min. Later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was panting heavily, running around a square mile of territory with heavy bags on my back tired even me, but I guess it was worth it. Twenty minutes for me equaled about an hour for my mom; even in the cart she uses. I put the bags back in the shack and decided to walk to the main building that was luckily not too far away. I then paused and looked around. It was silent.

"Crap." I got in my typical fighters stance. Meaning I got low and out stretched one arm in front of me and the other behind me, let my claws out, then I listened. I heard the wind pass around me, the grass rustled, but it wasn\'t the wind. I closed my eyes and tried to hear what I was after, I got nothing. I heard more rustles in the grass.

"Too damn dramatic Lucario." We both smiled after I caught his fist from making contact with my body.

"Sorry Ren. Thought you\'d enjoy it."

"Don\'t think I didn\'t." I twisted his arm and pulled the rest of his body towards me; I twisted my body and got ready to kick him square in the chest. He was too fast deflected my foot with his free hand; he used the momentum to twist his body and kick me in the back.

I fell forward, losing the attachment with his fist. He landed on me and grabbed my arm that supported my weight from hitting the ground. My face had a friendly meeting with the ground as he twisted my arm backwards. "Say Uncle!"

"Ow! No!" He applied more pressure.

"Common, you can end it now!"

"Ugh...You’re just damn lucky I’m tired."

"He he, I can\'t hear you what was that?"

"Err...Uncle." I said in a quiet voice.

"What?" He applied more pressure.

"Uncle!" I said with more volume.

"What? I think you’re going to have to yell."

A little mad "Get the fuck off me before I light your ass on fire!"

"Alright, you could have said uncle though." He let the pressure off my arm and hopped off me.

I pushed myself off the ground. "You only got me because I just ran around here with giant bags on my back."

"Yes, I realize you were just running around the lot. Yes, I realize that I was abusing that fact. No, you would not have won either way." Unfortunately he was probably right; I have much more strength than him, but he had much more fighting skill. Thus, he typically won our little sparing sessions.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just go and see if Espeon needs something."

"Alright, but be expecting another brawl tomorrow."

"I\'ll be expecting it." Just then, Lucario was gone in a flash. Extreme Speed was an interesting skill that I’ve been thriving to learn but haven’t been able to get close.

Espeon was our latest of the pregnant Pokémon; she was also one of my oldest friends here at the daycare. Her egg had recently hatched and now we have a new Eevee in our midst. Now instead of being a second mother too me, she can be an overbearing mother to Eevee.

Milotic, Lucario, Espeon, and Eevee seemed like an interesting team, no? Plus me if I fight, then we have a decently rounded team.

We are all in agreement that they would travel with me when the time came though I didn\'t want to bring Eevee because Eevee was so young. But I will not allow Espeon and Eevee to be separated, so he\'s coming too.

I cracked my back and arms and restarted my walk to the main building. I opened the door and let myself into our lobby/dining room. My mom was behind the counter, wiping it clean and sparkly. Her Dark black hair hanging in front of the right side of her face, the other side smiling. Her hair was Identical to mine, except for the red stripe. I presume I get the black part from my mom and the red from my dad (to represent fire). "Heh ma!"

She turned her head "Oh, hello Ren!" She said showing the rest of her grin. She threw the rag onto the surface and ran around the counter to me. She threw her arms around me in a welcoming hug; I hugged back. She released and went to the counter and grabbed her bag.

"I\'m glad you here, I need to run and pick up an order of planting seeds for the forests. Can you watch the shop till I come back?"

"Of course I can."

"Good." She walked back to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Mom!" I yelled while I involuntarily whipped the kiss from my cheek. She chuckled.

"I\'ll be back in a few hours, be good. And don\'t be afraid to bring Ellie here while I\'m away."

I stopped whipping my face "Sorry mom, she had to go home because her parents get suspicious that she’s not been staying were she says she was."

"Oh, that sucks." Her sad started to show.

"But!" I interjected "She\'ll be here tomorrow to help with the shop!"

She got her regular perky back. "Oh good! I can\'t wait." She really loved Ellie. She looked down at her watch. "Oh my, I better leave! Bye Hun."

"Bye mom." I tried to dodge another kiss. After a few seconds of trying, she gave up. She giggled as she left for the door. "Bye!" And she was gone.

I vaulted over the counter and put on one the three aprons that hung on the wall. I put it on and restarted polishing off the counter. I wonder how Ellie is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ellie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ellie walked up her long, bricked driveway to her small mansion on the hill. The bushes along the drive way were green and trimmed in a perfect flat straight. Her house was expertly painted a clean white. To the left was the edge of their clean yard; all that was visible was gardener Beedrill, the tennis courts, and the one hole of our personal golfing range. She sighed when she looked at her stereotypical rich family house.
Ellie\'s grandfather was one of the chief designers of the Pokeball, so her family was filthy rich. For every Pokeball sold they earn 25 Pokedollars; add all that up and you get a pretty penny.
She opens the front, grand doors to be greeted by her maid who was cleaning away at the windows on the side of the room. She turned towards Ellie and smiled.
"Hola Sra. Elizabeth, ¿cómo estás hoy? Me alegro de que yo pueda ver tu cara de hoy." Elizabeth, Ellie hated that name.
Ellie\'s parents had hired a Spanish maid to help her practice her tongue in more than one language. Ellie liked Maria, but she never looked forward to speaking a second language every day.
"Estoy bien. Estoy contento de ver que hoy en día".
"Su padre ha pedido que para la cena a las 7:00. Su vestido es en la cama." She sighed.
Dinner in the current state of her parents probably meant a talk on how she should spend more time practicing extracurricular activities to distract from the question of "What have you been doing all this time Elizabeth". Because, of course, Ellie\'s lies usually consisted of doing a report at a friend’s house when she was actually staying with Ren. Her extracurricular activities consisted of golfing, dancing, viola, and sewing. She hated them all.
"Gracias Maria". She lied.
She walked upstairs and into her almost foreign room; she threw her bag on the white vacuumed floor. On the bed to meet her was her only reason to come home; Delcatty. Her parents got her the cat Pokémon thinking she needed a friend around the house, and of course Delcatty was one of the most elegant of the Pokémon in the area.
Delcatty was her only Pokémon she actually liked at the house. Ellie always felt guilty when she left her for Ren, but Delcatty encouraged her to go to Ren\'s; at least that’s what Ren told me she said. It was because she would hate to do all the crap that I’m forced to do if she were me, so she lets her leave for Ren\'s place. Delcatty can\'t go because \'It might ruin her priceless fur, and don\'t you want her to look pretty when you see her?\' Oh the loads of bull.
She walked to and sat on her bed. "Heh, Delcatty." She purred as Ellie pet scratched her head. "Sorry for being so long; you know I don\'t like leaving you here." Delcatty answered her by smiling and rubbing her head against her arm and resonated a loud purring. "Don\'t be like. I\'m going to take you out someday. We are graduating in like two months and we can finally leave here!" Ellie tried to give Delcatty optimism even though Delcatty didn\'t need the extra assurance. But she gave her the benefit of the doubt and looked thankful as best she could.
Ellie relaxed more of her body and let her sink deeper into the bed; she stopped when she the crunch of plastic. She turned her head to find the dress Maria spoke of wrapped in dry cleaners protection plastic. It was a scarlet red dress that looked to be floor length on her. The neck line and small, red floral pattern.
She groaned, she had nothing against formal clothing, but when it got elegant and fancy she started to feel uncomfortable. She tore off the plastic wrapping and threw it away into the trash can. She held it up in the mirror and modeled herself.
Ugh, too much. "What do you think Delcatty?" Sensing Ellie\'s discomfort, she cocked her head as if giving a yes-no answer. Ellie returned by giving a blatant expression. "Just because I can\'t understand you doesn\'t mean you can\'t talk. I like to pretend I know what you’re saying at least." Delcatty blushed since she didn\'t talk much. She didn\'t like the idea of talking to no one.
"Delcatty, Del-?"
Ellie releases her smile. "Wow! I was thinking the exact same thing!" Delcatty couldn\'t help but to return smiling out of entertainment.
Ellie then started to ungown and slipped into the red dress. I fit well but a little snug at the top; otherwise it was comfortable. She turned to Delcatty.
"Well, how do I look?"
Delcatty scratched her head and combed down the fur sitting on top. "Del-" Ellie look upon in confusion.
"My hair?" She asked, Delcatty nodded.
She looked in the mirror to see she was right, her hair was too undone, to her parents’ standards that is. She ran a brush through her hair to make it neat; then she styled it softly with her hands to give it style. She turned to Delcatty again. "Good?" Delcatty smiled and nodded in approval.
"Del!"
"Thank you Delcatty." She walks over to kiss her in the forehead and continued scratching up and down her neck. "What would I ever do without you?" Delcatty blushed while she blissfully engorged herself on the treatment.
She checked the clock hanging on her wall. 6:48.
"Wish me luck Delcatty." Delcatty licked Ellie’s hand as reassurance. "Thank you."
Ellie walked out of her room and went down the stairway. She took a right turn down into the dining room. This dining room was her family dining room which they only used for them; the one on the opposite side of the house was used when company was over or celebrations were held. This room had a smaller table that seat about eight people sitting upon a turquoise rug with gold trimmings. The walls had a half blue, half green wallpaper pasted upon it. Ellie’s parents sat promptly on the far side of the table waiting for her. Ellie produced a fake smile for her parents, but her parents looked upon her in distraught. Ellie kept the smile despite the peculiar faces; she took the seat the across from her mom and dad.
The first 10 minutes of the meal were done in silence, however Ellie was paying attention more to her table manners considering she only used them once a week. Despite that she didn\'t like the silence because it started to give her the impression that their conversation would be more solemn than she had originally anticipated. Meaning she would have a harder time lying her way out of it. Her father finally broke the grueling silence.
"So Elizabeth." That name was like knives in Ellie\'s ears. "How has work been at Emilie’s?" Emily was the name she usually used as an excuse to stay at Ren\'s.
"Works been well. Slow, but it’s getting done."
"I\'m glad to hear to hear that, but I\'m more intrigued by the fact that we have never met this \'Emily\'." The emphasis on \'Emily\' obviously meant that they were suspicious of something. She looked at both her parents faces; they were smeared with a cold since of malice and distress. What was with the cold faces?
"She’s kind of shy. If we ever get a chance I\'ll introduce you to her."
"Oh Really." Ellie\'s mother butted in. "Because we checked your school\'s records, and the only Emily at your school is in kindergarten." Ellie started blushing from embarrassment; she was thinking of a quick excuse but failing entirely under the pressure. "Elizabeth Burkhart, you have been staying at that boy Untouchable’s house haven’t you!?" The raise in Mrs. Burkhart\'s voice is something that could scare the most masculine men.
"He\'s not an Untouchable, His name is Ren and he\'s my friend; you have no right to call him that."
Ellie’s father came back into the conversation "We have every right to call him whatever we feel and that boy is nothing more than filth. Have you been seeing him even after we told you not too?"
Ellie was mad. "Yes, I have, and you dare ever call him filth, In fact I\'ve been staying at his house for the last several nights!" Ellie\'s parents were in shock from her reply. Blood started to boil.
"Don\'t you dare talk to your farther like that Elizabeth!" exclaimed Mrs. Burkhart
"If he can talk like that to Ren, so can I!" Ellie snapped.
Mr. Burkhart replied "Stop talking like he\'s some sort of human being, he’s nothing more than... than a thing! I forbid you to have any relations with the thing! I will not be the father of a girl who partakes with that pathetic excuse of a person!" That’s were Ellie drew the line. She excused herself from the table.
"We\'re not done here young lady." Ellie\'s mom said as she stood from the table. Ellie ignored it and ran upstairs. Her parents looked at each other.
"Don\'t worry honey." Mr. Burkhart started. "She\'ll thank us one day."
Ellie flung her door open startling Delcatty in the process. "Delcatty" she said trying to hold her sobs "Were leaving let\'s go." Delcatty jumped from her resting place.
"Del?!"
"I can\'t stay here and I’m not going to leave you here." She cried as she changed her clothes from the red dress to the clothing she was wearing originally and grabbed her school bag. "Common, let’s go Delcatty." Delcatty gave an unneeded panic; she had only left the house to go to the backyard to meet Ren. Other than that she had never been out of the house.
Together they left the room and darted down the stairs. Delcatty was looking around thinking that she might never see the inside of this house again. Ellie was just focusing on taking that next step down the stairs. They started towards the front door only to be caught by the sight of her parents, whom were still sitting by at the dining room table.
"Were do you think you\'re going?" questioned Mr. Burkhart
"I\'m going to Ren\'s with Delcatty." Ellie didn\'t wait for her parents to deny her.
Ellie slammed the door behind her and stepped into the weather; unfortunately for her it didn\'t look good. "Common Delcatty, lets hurry before it starts to rain." And they ran down the drive way.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ren ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I yawned as I looked outside into the weather; it was pouring like there was no tomorrow. Today had been kind of a boring day; the only customers that came in today were traveling trainers dropping off their Pokémon. I liked travelers; they don\'t what I am, so they don\'t give me dumb looks.

I had an unexplainable ball in my throat that made me want to both cry and throw up. Do to my Pokémon half, I could sense around or near me better than any normal human. This particular feeling meant something was amiss.

I was easily distracted from the feeling by the intoxicating aroma of my mom\'s Macaroni and Cheese. Of all the great dishes my mom could make, Macaroni and Cheese was easily \'our\' favorite. If only Ellie were here, then the \'our\' would be complete.

"Heh Ma, when’s dinner gonna be ready?" My mom, Mrs. Olivia Gein, peered her head through the door way and over to me.

"I\'ve timed this so it\'s finished when we close."

I quickly checked to clock. "Damn..." it was a quarter till 8:00.

My mom giggled before she slipped back into the kitchen. "Sorry Hun, your just gonna have to wait."

Ugh. I wish the Daycare Lobby and our Kitchen were in different buildings or separated; that way I wouldn\'t be forced to smell all the food being cooked. Our house was part of the main building. When you entered the premises you first walk into the lobby which was plain aside from the one table we ate on in the center. There was one door way off to the side of the room that both we and the customers used to get to the Daycare Pokémon area; near the back almost behind the counter was a large entry way which led to a small, complete kitchen. Continually to the doorway and around a left turn led down a hallway. The hallway had four doors. Bathroom on the left, Mom\'s room on the right, Closet straight forward, and the attic door on the ceiling which led to my room.

After a few moments of waiting, my stomach started to lurch. What the hell is going on? My mom\'s head peered through from the kitchen again. "Are you OK honey?"

"I sense a disturbance in the force." I joked. My mom gladly understood and laughed.

"I see, well hopefully this meal will heal you up." I doubted it because the only thing that could help was knowing were the disturbance was coming from, but I gave a reassuring smile before she retreated into the kitchen once more. I checked the clock once more; it was 6:5-.

Just then the main lobby doors swung open reveling a drenched Ellie and Delcatty.

"What the hell? Ellie?" I quickly hopped out of the seat "Come in, I\'ll get you two towels." They slowly walked in and a seat at the table in the center if the lobby. I passed the kitchen and entered the hallway closet for towels and went back to the kitchen.

"Ren, who is that?” My mom asked as she grabbed two bowls out the shelves.

"Its Ellie and Delcatty." My mom\'s face brightened up immensely when she heard this sentence.

"I’m glad to hear that! Do they want some dinner?"

"I\'ll check." I entered the lobby to see the saddened Ellie once more. I handed a towel to Ellie and Delcatty. "Do you guys want some dinner?" Remembering she didn\'t finish dinner she nodded dolefully. "Yeah ma two more bowls." I yelled to the kitchen as I sat down to comfort Ellie. "Are you OK? What the hell happened?"

"Oh nothing." She paused "We just had a disagreement."

I put on a doubtful face. "A disagreement?"

"Yeah... An economic disagreement." she assured "It\'s nothing."

"Nothing? You took a three mile run over here in the rain, and you hate the rain. And you brought Delcatty, not that I’m not glad to see her, but you never are able to take her out of the house. If you were forced to storm out of the house then I think it was a little more than just a simple economic disagreement."Ellie’s eyes start to shy away, but lucky for her my mom came in with four bowls of her Mac and cheese.

"Oh Ellie, I\'m so glad you’re here!" She placed three bowls on the table and on the floor for Delcatty.

The dinner was gleefully cheery and full of good conversation. Ellie\'s smile, much to my mom\'s happiness, was slowly returning. While eating dinner, we talked. Delcatty even got into the conversation with everyone; of course I had to translate.

"Well I think you two should hit the hay soon." My mom stated as she picked up our bowls. "I\'m think I\'m going to go to bed now."

Ellie quickly questioned. "Can I take a quick shower first?" She asked it as if she were her daughter.

"Course you can sweetie." On that note she disappeared into the kitchen, down the hallway, and into her bedroom. Ellie peered underneath the table to Delcatty.

"Do you need a shower too?"

Delcatty began. "No thank-" but then stop when she remember that Ellie could only understand the shaking of her head.

"Well ok." Ellie’s head came back up. "Shall we go?"

I smiled. "One sec." I quickly did a quick run around to make sure all the doors were locked and blinds were closed. I then stood in front of the door way to the back room; I moved dramatically pointed down the hallway with both of my arms. "This way milady." I joked.

She giggled as she walked past me and my arms with Delcatty beside her. "Thank you kind sir." We both laughed at our own dumb joke. I directed both of them down the long hallway, past my mom’s room, and to the square platform hanging above us.

I jumped up and grabbed the lever that pulled the ladder down. I let Ellie walk up the ladder first. After she was up, I amassed Delcatty in my arms and jumped through the hole in the ceiling.

When we were up I put Delcatty down on my bedroom carpet. I looked out the window to see that it was still pouring outside. I walked over to close the blinds so we wouldn\'t see the sadness it brought.

I liked my room for a few reasons.

1. It was big and spacious since it was almost the entire size of the building.

2. There was the big window so I could watch the daycare Pokémon without leaving my bed.

3. It was completely refurbished, which included isolated walls, carpets, lights, TV set with stereo system, and furniture.

4. We were able to build a bathroom with a shower and working toilet with the extra space in the corner of the room.

And 5. Because I loved rooms in cool places, like in attics and basements.

I turned to Ellie who was taking out her clothes out of her section of my dresser (luckily for me, she kept her bras and panties in a separate compartment beside the dresser (that of which I was a little scared to touch)).

"Have a nice shower."

She turned towards me and smiled "Ok, don\'t worry I\'ll be quick." She turned back around and entered the bathroom built in the corner of the room. The bathroom was made of wood that was immaturely put up in the corner of the room. However after much plaster and caulking, the room was airtight besides the cracks under the through the door.

The door closed behind Ellie and the water in the shower started to spray. I, for some reason, used that as a que to move to my bed; that of which Delcatty had already become acquainted with. I stepped over the air mattress that I slept on when Ellie was here (she took the bed) and sat myself next to Delcatty. I reached for the remote to turn on the TV across from the side of my bed.

I started to click through the channel. \'Little people, big Pokémon\' Next. \'Housewives of Enterna County\' Next! \'Sinnoh\'s Next Hot Model\' Fuck No! \'Shinx and Big\'...Not in the mood right now.

After a few more trash TV and sport channels, I came across \'Untouchables. Misunderstood People? Or Tangible Impurity!\' I paused for a little while until I set the remote onto the bed and started watching the program.

It was a political debate between three groups, people who resent, people who support, and people who don\'t give a shit. Honestly, I liked the people who didn\'t give a shit. Mostly because the people who cared were usually softies and always feel the need to give people like me special treatment. The people how don\'t give a shit are like Ellie, they treat me like a normal person at least.

"These things are rejects in the eyes of god!" stated the Opposers.

"These people have taken your insults for long enough! How can you be so ignorant? They are beautiful human beings that deserve just treatment like everyone else." Snapped the supporters.

I\'m a human...Didn\'t know that.

"This debate is irrelevant. They are born like us, act like us, and die like us. They are us and aren’t even worth the debate." The words may have sounded sour, but I agreed with the man. After watching a few more minutes of the debate, the question in my mind wouldn\'t settle. I quickly adjusted my ears to the shower; luckily it was still gushing. My eyes lowered down to Delcatty who was also actively watching the debate.

"Heh, Delcatty?" Delcatty\'s head swayed towards me.

"Hmm? What is it Ren?" Remembering she could talk to me.

"What really happened at Ellie\'s house when she left?" She paused for a second, before she answered she checked for if the water was still running.

"She went downstairs for dinner with her parents. She came back up 20 minutes later absolutely bawling. She changed her clothes, collected me, and we stormed out."

"Do you know what the argument was about?"

She checked again to see that the water was still gushing. "I might have heard part of the conversation."

I got slightly excited "Well what happened!?"

"Her parents were mad at her for seeing you, and they banned her from seeing you and they would reject her if she did." My jaw dropped how people could be that thick.

"Ellie potentially screwed up her relationship with her parents for me?"

"When you put it that way. Yes she did." At the exact moment the water stopped roaring. We both turn to check if it wasn\'t our imagination. When we confirmed it wasn\'t Delcatty turn towards me again. "But she doesn\'t know I knew that, so please don\'t tell her!"

The bathroom door bursted open; Ellie still wet wrapped in a towel. "Sorry I forgot to grab my panties." Delcatty was amused by the comment only because I became clearly uncomfortable.

"In this house we call that underwear!" I felt my own blush starting to show.

"Oh, sorry I forgot." she said as she reached into the basket.

"Thank you." I said as I turned off the TV. "Oh, and Ellie-." I was interrupted a pair of panties flung in my face. "Gah!" I threw the pair on my face onto the ground beside Ellie. "What the hell! Don\'t do that Ellie!" Ellie clearly found it funny from her uncontrollable laughing. Delcatty showed her amusement by rolling all over the bed in her laughter.

My annoyed glares started to make them stop laughing after a while, Ellie retrieved back to the bathroom still with a small chuckle. I used that chance to change into my pajamas, which just consisted of a Tee-shirt and sport shorts. "Heh Delcatty, can you look away for a sec?"

She giggled "Sure." Her head hid under her paws. I quickly changed into my clothes before Ellie came out. After I was done, I setup my air mattress that sat beside the actual bed. After it was setup I sat down on the edge and rested my back against the framework.

*Sigh* "Now I feel like shit."

Delcatty moved to the edge. "Why?"

"I just started realizing all the crap that I bring into Ellie’s life."

"Well that’s what happens when you love someone."

I turned my head in surprise. "What?"

"You know when you\'ve established such a close relationship with someone and become such good friends with them that you love them. Kind of like your love for your mom."

"Oh right, friends, I know what you mean." Friends. Just love in a friendship term.

Not a moment too soon Ellie opened the door a second time, now however she was in her teddy bear pajamas. "Ready?"

"Yep, just waiting for you." I replied

"Thank you but you didn\'t have to."

"Well it wouldn\'t feel right."

She smiled. "Well thank you anyway." She made her way over to the bed. After stepping over to get into my/her bed, she reached over to hit the light switch confidently located next to the frame. "Good night."

"Night." But I wasn\'t going to sleep quite yet. Instead I stared at Ellie, who was blissfully sleeping on the edge of the bed. \'Friends\' I thought \'Just friends\'. I sighed as I turned over on my side and stared at the wall.

I love her endlessly as a friend, but how much love is there. How much do I really love Ellie? But I think a better question would be.

How long have I fallen in love with Ellie?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
End of Chapter Notes:
Turkey Day! Hurrah! Mine was good, how was yours? (Hypothetical question)
In terms of the Spanish part, I decided to add that because I wanted to make that house as stereotypical as I could, I think I did that well. For all my non-Spanish speaking brethren, just Google translate it, although I don\'t think you need it since you could easily go through the chapter not knowing what they were saying.
Also, have any of you noticed I used the word "I" for every action Ren does? This is probably the curse of first-person writing, but if anyone can think of another couple of words I can alternate on it would be great! Please, it really bothers me how much the "I" comes up.
So now we have a team setup and potential couple on the rise, what will happen next time on...?
The Untouchables! (Dun dun DUN!)
