Wicekd Eagle III
Wicked Eagle
Part III
A Zoid’s Fanfic
By: Brenna “Snakelady” Dawkins
Rating: NC-17 (WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!) violence, adult situations, and language
Disclaimer: Zoids and it’s characters, Jamie, Bit, Leena, Brad, Doctor Toros, and Harry do not belong to me, unfortunately or else I’d be rich, so you better think twice about suing me!
Summary: We learn how Wild Eagle manages to remain. We also learn why Wild Eagle is torturing our gang. Harry enters the fray (I had to get him in on the fun somehow! J ) And thanks to Aqua-chan for suggesting whom it would be to save them!
AN: Sorry for the wait! But I had trouble deciding how to write the ending. For all you Harry haters out there, I had to do this. What can I say, I like the guy! Harry originally wasn’t even going to make an appearance, but then I read your reviews and thought I’d see what I could do with him. Okay, everyone may seem a little out of character in this last bit, but after what they’ve gone through; you gotta give em a break. They’ve been hanging around for a little over three days!
Wicked Eagle dug into his and Bit’s dresser drawer and pulled out the syringe. He was exhausted and knew it wouldn’t be much longer before the drugs no longer could hold their effect. He filled it up with the stimulant and injected the illegal narcotic into his veins. It was almost three times the amount of what he had started out with just to achieve a semblance of the original buzz. He knew if he didn’t keep taking the stuff that his heart rate would plummet and Wild Eagle would be no more and Jamie, Blitz team whipping boy would return. He couldn’t let that happen… just yet.
Once he could feel his heart drum at that unnaturally controlled pace, he breathed a sigh of relief. Wild Eagle would still be around for at least one more day. He wondered what other indignities he could make his team mates suffer. Then he grinned. They needed some new blood and he quickly wrote an enticing email in Leena’s name and sent it to the Champ base. He laughed as he prepared to receive a guest.
It wasn’t long before he heard Harry enter the base, calling loudly for Leena. Wild Eagle hurried to catch up with Harry.
“Leena? Where are you hiding, my love?” Called Harry as he wandered about the hanger, looking for the sender of the romantic love letter.
Harry felt something strike the back of his head and he dropped like a sack of potatoes to the floor.
God! What a headache! Harry groaned and curled up on the ice-cold floor. Wait… he was on the floor? And why couldn’t he move? He woke up and found himself at eye level with dust bunnies. He tried to scratch his nose and found his hands were bound behind his back and his ankles bound together as well. He glanced down and discovered he no longer wore any clothes. What the Hell?
Harry rolled himself over so he could make out where he was and possibly figure out what happened. He saw the naked, dangling bodies of Bit, Brad, and Leena strung up above him in the storage hanger. He blinked. Leena… naked!
“Hey, Harry. Welcome to the party.” It was a tired sounding Bit.
Harry reluctantly tore his eyes off of the naked form of Leena. She looked haggard but still managed to look beautiful in her decidedly sorry state. It had been the first time he’d seen her perfect, naked form. Upon closer perusal of Bit, Harry noticed that the cocky blonde looked like someone tried to flay him alive. Harry’s eyes widened. He had a bad feeling that he was in big trouble.
“What’s going on?” Harry demanded.
“We don’t really know.” Brad said, looking a little bit better than Leena but sounding just as tired and defeated as Bit.
The door behind Bit and Brad opened up and in stepped a very wired and still very naked Wild Eagle. He was trembling and looked like it took most of his effort to keep upright.
“Wild Eagle?” Harry said shocked. What, has everyone suddenly gone insane? He wondered. He stared at the kid who had a nicer looking body than he’d have ever guessed.
“Hello, Harry.” Wild Eagle grinned as he greeted his new guest.
Harry had to crane his neck uncomfortably to look up at the youngest Blitz team member. “Why did you do this?”
Wild Eagle’s grin faded and he furrowed his brows, “These… persons… are being taught a lesson. A lesson they wont ever forget!”
“What lesson?” Harry asked and wondered why he was in on the bargain. Life wasn’t fair!
Harry received a swift kick to the gut and Harry gasped at the surprise attack. He coughed as he tried to get the air back into his lungs.
Wild Eagle spat, “If they can’t figure it out on their own, then they deserve to hang here for the rest of their lives! Why do I have to be the one to clue them in all the time?”
Harry couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “What?”
Wild Eagle glared at the man staring up at him on the floor. The Raynos pilot squatted down beside Harry, giving Harry a good view of his crotch. Harry made a point to look Wild Eagle squarely in the eyes.
“Hey, Wild Eagle.” Harry began, “Have you ever just tried to TALK to your team mates? I’m sure that whatever’s bugging you could be resolved easily if you just tried to talk it out.”
Harry found a strong hand suddenly, painfully grasping his jaw. Wild Eagle hissed, “TALK? To these morons? And what good would that do? Nothing! You could talk to them until you’re blue in the face and all it’d do would provide for the nights entertainment! Have you ever tried to TALK to these people?” Wild Eagle said with a tinge of hysterical deliria in his voice, which was beginning to crack under the strain of no sleep.
“I try to talk to Leena every day.” Harry told him.
Wild Eagle nodded. “And to what end?”
Harry swallowed. “My love knows no end.”
Wild Eagle stared at Harry. “You’re a fool.”
Harry blushed, “I’m willing to play the fool if that’s what it takes. But I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get Leena to notice me.”
“Harry…” Leena began but Wild Eagle shushed her.
“Don’t you mind being strung along and being taken for granted? Don’t you mind being the unwitting whipping boy of the Blitz team?” Wild Eagle asked.
Bit, Brad, and Leena had been intently listening to the exchange, in hope of gleaning some clue as to Wild Eagle’s motives.
“My God.” Leena whispered and closed her eyes, wanting to cry at the revelation. At last, so that was it. That was why they were being tormented by their youngest team mate. It was, decidedly, a very plausible grievance.
“Wild Eagle.” Bit was crying. “Why didn’t you tell us you were feeling neglected?”
“DIDN’T I JUST EXPLAIN THAT TO HARRY?” Wild Eagle bellowed exasperatedly at Bit. Wild Eagle released Harry’s jaw, stood and stormed over to the blonde angrily. “And what will you do for me? What? What can you possibly do for me?” Wild Eagle’s eyes were misting up and he angrily blinked the oncoming tears back.
“I love you, Wild Eagle. You know that. I want to do anything I can to make you believe it.” Bit pleaded.
Wild Eagle shook his head. “Love is more than just sex, Bit.”
“What do you want?” Brad asked softly.
“Respect!” Wild Eagle growled. “A little acknowledgement! I’m more than just your maid! I’m a fucking human!” Wild Eagle lost it then and began to cry. He buried his head in his hands and sobbed his frustration.
“Wild Eagle.” Bit said as gently as he dared.
Wild Eagle’s whole body shook and he almost wilted right there but he wasn’t Jamie, he was Wild Eagle! Wild Eagle didn’t do this, outwardly show weakness to anyone, and yet, here he was, struggling like Hell to regain an ounce of composure. The stimulant must be wearing off, he thought.
“You… don’t… care… not really!” Wild Eagle sniffled and tried to quit his crying fit. “None… of you… do!” He ran out of the room.
Harry looked on in astonishment. He would have never guessed Jamie had felt so miserable. He never acted like he was unhappy.
“Jamie.” Leena was crying softly to herself, feeling horribly and uncharacteristically guilty.
Harry struggled to stand and hopped over to Bit. “Where do you think he’d go to console himself?”
Bit’s face looked absolutely tragic as he tried to look into Harry’s concerned eyes.
“Come on, Bit. You know him best. Or,” he added quietly, “you’re supposed to.”
“GOD!” Bit said and shuddered and almost wailed, “I don’t know him. I don’t know him at all!”
Harry got a good look at Bit’s wounds. They had all scabbed over. It looked like it had been very painful and Harry hoped that he would never have to meet the whip. “Bit.”
“Try my room.” Bit looked away from Harry and tried to gather his thoughts.
“If I can get out of these ropes, I’d set you guys free.” Harry said and took one more long look at Leena across the room.
“Go find Jamie, Harry.” Brad instructed the leader of the Champ team.
Harry nodded and awkwardly hopped out of the room, the door conveniently left open by the fleeing Wild Eagle.
“Jamie’s right.” Bit mumbled. “The only time we really notice him is when the food’s late to the table, or if a sock is missing its mate out of the wash. And how many times have we actually followed those strategies he spends hours designing? He makes sure the Doc doesn’t go over budget by buying some ridiculous piece of hardware that can’t be used by any of our Zoid’s. He’s the one who keeps the Blitz team up and running, not you, not me, not any of us.”
Brad didn’t say anything to that. “I just want to know what’s going to happen once we DO get out of here.” He glanced meaningfully at Bit who looked flustered.
“Things are going to have to change.” Leena said quietly from her spot and wished her dad would come home early and save them.
Harry hopped his way to the living quarters and to Bit’s room. He found Wild Eagle ravaging his room and yelling obscenities. The whole room was in disarray. The mattress to the bed was in a corner across the room, books and magazines were scattered about the floor, and broken bits of Zoid’s models were randomly scattered about the whole room. The drawers of the dresser were all yanked out of their berth and their contents were littered about. Then the Raynos warrior collapsed onto the floor and sobbed.
Harry tried to hop into the room, but there was so much crap littering the floor that in his bound state, he couldn’t help but tumble into a heap on a bundle of Zoid’s magazines. Wild Eagle, startled, spun around to see who the intruder was.
“Harry?”
Harry hurt his arm in the fall and winced but answered best he could, “In the flesh.”
The Champ team leader noticed Wild Eagle was clutching at something and tried to figure it out what in the world it was. It kinda looked like a syringe, but, that was silly, Harry thought. Jamie didn’t use drugs.
“Just was worried about you.” Harry said truthfully.
Wild Eagle looked at Harry dumbfounded. “You’re lying.”
“No I’m not. I’m worried.”
“I knocked you out, stripped you, tied you up, planned on having sex with you eventually… how can you honestly say you’re worried about me?” Wild Eagle demanded, though he didn’t move.
Harry balked at the mention of Wild Eagle having sex with him. Never! But he bravely plowed on, “That’s why I’m worried about you. The Wild Eagle I know would never contemplate such things. Our Wild Eagle would not stoop to such endeavors. Our Wild Eagle would look trouble in the eye and not work around it in such a cowardly way.”
Wild Eagle eyeballed Harry. “You’re calling me cowardly?”
Harry gulped.
Wild Eagle crawled over the disorder to reach the prone Harry who had no way to right himself since he was wedged between a toppled chair and a stereo. Harry fearfully looked into Wild Eagle’s eyes. There was no telling what the crazed boy would do to him.
Wild Eagle grabbed onto Harry and hauled him completely into the room and ints las lap. Then Wild Eagle held onto Harry and cried. Harry Champ lay there in his arms, completely helpless, but even if he hadn’t been bound as he was, he didn’t think he’d have the heart to leave Wild Eagle without giving some comfort. So he lay there, trying to come up with comforting phrases and sounds for the Wild Eagle who was someone who desperately needed someone to care for him at the moment.
Then Harry’s eyes widened when Wild Eagle bent down to meet his face and Harry knew immediately what the kid was going to do and in that split second, decided he wouldn’t mind just this once. What, was he crazy?
Their lips met and it was a gentle, slow, and tender kiss. Harry closed his eyes and felt Wild Eagle’s hand touch his naked chest. His heart started to really pound. What was he doing? Then his brain threatened to pop when he realized Wild Eagle’s hand was trailing down his chest, to his stomach and… GOD!
Harry broke off the kiss and tried to wriggle out of Wild Eagle’s lap.
“I love Leena.” Harry said, struggling with his self-control.
Wild Eagle didn’t seem to have any strength left and his body slumped as he allowed Harry to flop like a bound fish out from the Raynos pilot’s clutches.
“I thought you were worried about me.” Wild Eagle said dejectedly, listlessly.
“I am. And I care about you. But… I don’t go that way, Wild Eagle.” Harry hoped to make him understand.
Wild Eagle’s resolve seemed to wilt right before Harry’s eyes. The boy lay on the floor and cried. Harry just lay there, staring and not knowing what to do. Then he realized someone was blocking the light from the hallway. He twisted his head in a painful position in order to see who it was. He thought he recognized the man standing there with a very sad look on his face. It looked very much like Jamie’s. He thought he remembered the man’s name.
“Mr. Hermanos?” Harry replied, relieved beyond measure.
“Call me Oscar.” Jamie’s father entered the room. He had a pocketknife in his hands and cut Harry free. Then he knelt before his son who was crying silently in a ball on the trashed floor. “Oh, God.”
Harry rubbed his wrists and his ankles. “The others-“
“I found them. Set them free. They’re safe. Glad I ran into Toros in town. He was concerned after no one had answered the phone on the base after the third day he left. He asked me to check up on everyone. Glad I did.” Oscar said sadly.
He put his hand on Jamie’s shoulder and the boy didn’t respond in any way. “He takes too much upon himself. He needs to let others take some of the load off of his shoulders.”
Harry fingered Jamie’s hair. “He wants to be loved, to be needed.” Harry swore he’d never tell anyone about the kiss, ever.
Oscar picked Jamie up and cradled the sobbing, naked boy in his arms, “He is. We just need to learn how to show him that. We all need to learn how to show him that.” He kissed the boy on the forehead. Then Oscar noticed the needle in one of Jamie’s hands. “Narcotics. I thought he’d kicked that a long time ago.” He took the syringe and looked as if to hurl it, then decided against it and pocketed it after he capped it.
“What? What are you talking about? Are you trying to tell me… Jamie did drugs?” Harry asked aghast.
Oscar held onto Jamie tighter. “Used to. Looks like he ran out of his favorite here. It always uses him up so fast. He’ll need to go to rehab again. God, Jamie. I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have let him go without support for so long.”
Harry watched Oscar carry away a nearly comatose Jamie. He stood there in the disordered room, his brain trying to wrap around the moment. He had no idea where his clothes were so he just bent down and picked up a spare pair of shorts and a shirt and put them on, not knowing if they were either Bit’s or Jamie’s. God, what a mess, and he wasn’t thinking about the way the room looked.
He saw a bleary eyed Leena teetering her way down the hall to her room. She had a blanket pulled around her. She looked ready to pass out. The red head saw Harry step out of Bit’s and Jamie’s room.
“Harry!” Leena whimpered.
“I know. I’m just now leaving.” Harry made as if to pass by her but when he did, she grabbed onto his shirt and her puffy, circle-ringed eyes searching for his.
“Don’t leave, please?” Leena gripped his shirt so her knuckles turned white. “Would you please… stay with me… for a little while?”
Harry blubbered. “Really?”
“I don’t want anything from you but you, understand?” Leena said and she leaned up against Harry.
“No, but, don’t worry about it. There are a lot of things I don’t understand that happened today. Why should this be any different?” And so Harry went and lay beside Leena in her bed, both were fully clothed and hugged onto each other as Leena caught up on her sleep. Harry couldn’t sleep. He was lost in the wonderful moment. He, Harry Champ, was giving comfort to Leena in her bed. Not exactly the way he had always imagined, but then again, he thought how often did things go as the way one planned?
