The dark-haired girl set his drink in front of him. He stared up at her, taking in everything about her as quickly as possible. One didn't encounter girls as attractive as these two every day. Her curves were out there, and her long, black hair fell down in an impossible mane behind her, reaching her well-rounded rear end.
"I told him you're here." The girl said. She smiled and walked towards the blonde one. Wolfwood sat back, contemplating. He needed to get behind the bar. He needed to see Vash.
Suddenly, the blonde girl, Hannah, walked over to him and sat next to him. "Well, Mr. Wolfwood, it's just you and me now." She said, winking. Her hands, however, were businesslike. Something clicked.
"Yes, yes it is." He said, putting his cigarette out on the table. "So what are you going to do about it?"
Hannah stood up and took his hand, leading him towards the back of the bar. The entire tavern noticed and there were a few lewd grins and even more whistles at Wolfwood's successes with the ladies.
Tasha watched from the corner, arms crossed, very much amused.
"Here he is." Hannah's voice intruded on Vash's inner thoughts. "One priest, on the rocks."
Vash chuckled. Hannah's sense of humor was about as dry as the wine that was served here. Which was to say, very much so.
Hannah busied herself cooking, taking over for Vash deftly. Since she was supposed to be back here screwing Wolfwood's brains out, she had to stay out of the way anyway, and Vash had to talk to Nicholas.
She hummed silently to herself while she prepared various orders. So that was Wolfwood. He was totally hot. She'd boink him. In fact...
"Who are those two?" Wolfwood asked, apprehensively.
"I'm not really sure. They're sort of part of the gang now." Vash said. He sounded sort of nervous. "I wouldn't annoy them, if I were you."
"Is Vash the Stam afr afraid of two women, now?" Wolfwood pulled out another cigarette and lit it, smiling. "I never thought I'd see the day."
"Not afraid, exactly. But they could easily make my life a living hell...more than it already is, anyway." Vash said. He looked in Hannah's direction, and then peeked out at Tasha.
"Who's the blonde bombshell?" Wolfwood had a hard time hiding his interest.
"Huh? Oh, Hannah. She's alright."
"And the other one?"
"That's Tasha." Vash said. Did Wolfwood detect a bit of defensiveness in his voice? "I wouldn't mess with her at all, if I were you. She's pretty scary."
"Scary, eh? I like scary." Wolfwood grinned ferally. Vash shook his head.
"Don't mess with her. Besides, Hannah seemed really interested in you."
"What happened to Meryl, Vash?" Wolfwood asked. Vash blushed.
"Well, I sort of snuck out from under them." He grinned now. "I didn't leave a note or anything. Just left."
"Well, that would explain why they were so heartbroken." Wolfwood flicked some ashes into a tray. He didn't particularly care what was in it, either.
Vash looked somewhat ashamed. "They'll just get hurt. I mean, they're tough, but the stuff I'm going to end up going against..."
"And these two aren't going to get hurt?"
Vash paused, thoughtfully. "I think they're very able to take care of themselves. Tasha sort of reminds me of you."
"And that makes Hannah into a female Human Typhoon?" He laughed. "I don't know if I want to tangle with someone like that."
"Better her than Tasha." Vash said. His hand automatically rested on his revolver.
"I get the point, Vash. Stay away from Tasha. She's taken."
"That's...not what I said." Vash blushed.
All of the sudden, there was a commotion from outside. Vash groaned and walked out, Wolfwood on his heels.
Tasha stood over a patron, who was yowling on the floor. A smoking gun was in her hand, but Vash could see she hadn't made a fatal shot. He wondered if that was because she'd missed or because she didn't want to kill him.
"First of all." She began. "My money is my business. You don't touch it."
The guy groaned.
"Second of all, I am not a whore. You don't touch me, either."
Vash groaned, too. This wasn't good.
"Third of all, you insult my friend, and the next shot will likely end up in your brain." She tossed the gun back towards him. "Thanks for the rental, buddy."
Vash stepped out of her way as she stalked back towards the bar. Everything was quiet for a moment before the turned back towards their dinners. This sort of thing was normal for Tasha.
"Wow." Wolfwood said as she walked past him.
Hannah smirked. "That's my best friend. She doesn't take insults to either of us kindly."
"I'll remember to keep that in mind."
"You'd better." Vash cautioned him.
"Four people in one crummy hotel room." Tasha said. She sighed. "Okay. We can do this. Hannah and I can pair up, and Vash and Wolfwood can pair up."
"What? No! I'm not sleeping with him!" Vash said, blushing brightly. Tasha grinned.
"You could always sleep with me..."
"I'll take the floor, thanks." Vash said, haughtily. He turned away and for a moment, Tasha's face fell.
"Oh, darn." She said, snapping her fingers sarcastically. She regained her bright face. "Oh well. You can sleep with the spiders. Hannah and I can bunk up and Wolfwood can have his own bed. Or.....Hannah and Wolfwood could bunk up." She glanced at them. "I don't think either of them would mind that predicament much."
Hannah looked considerably cheered, and Wolfwood smiled.
"So it's settled then." Tasha said. "Wolfwood and Hannah on one bed, me on the other, and Vash gets the floor."
"You sound...just like Meryl." Wolfwood said, tiredly.
Vash just sighed.
It was cold.
Tasha had somehow come up with another pillow and blanket for him, but the wood floor was still cold, and he had to keep spiders from crawling up on him. Add in to that the fact that he could hear Hannah and Wolfwood going at it, and it made for a really miserable night.
At about one, in the midst of the Hannah/Nicholas episode, Vash stood up and tapped Tasha on the shoulder. "Uh.."
Tasha scooted over. "I knew you'd cave."
Vash scratched his head sheepishly and climbed into the bed.
