"CHIK_OR_EEEE_TA!" Ash called out as loud as he could. As he had started into the cave he hadn't expected it to go so deep into the mountain. The light from the entrance had long since faded away making the cave gloomy and cold.
"And getting colder!" he muttered to himself, grateful of his thick knitted shirt as he walked carefully onwards. "Why does she have to be so difficult?"
Feeling along the wall of the cave the light from the entrance was quickly fading making it hard to see. "I get on well with all my pokemon." He muttered. "If anything Chikorita gets better treatment then the rest of my pokemon, certainly I let her get away with more! OUCH"
he stubs his toe against a sharp rock and hops up and down on one foot indignantly. "Damn!"
Feeling around he lowers himself to the ground and finds a place to sit where he removes his shoes and socks so that he can massage his sore foot. "Misty's the same." He mutters between rubs. "One minute their by my side; helpful, supporting, friendly - The next their yelling at me!" He mutters a bit more inaudibly and lowers his foot to the ground.
Taking in his surroundings Ash's eyes seam to have adapted to the light...
he thinks. His shoes and socks forgotten, Ash gets to his feet and looks back and forth to get his barings. "It's coming from this direction.... Chikorita, are you in there?"
Finding a large opening in the wall some distance further down he follows the light even deeper into the cave.
"I wish I understood girls..." he mumbles, then enters.

At first the scene that greets his eyes amazes him into shock. Unknown to him he had been walking down a gradual incline into the heart of the mountain. The cavern he'd just entered was moderate, the size of a small function hall, and alternated between hard rock and the reflective surfaces of large gems. Encrusted into the walls were dark crystals that seamed to glow with a pale bluish light somehow lighting the cavern tp the level of a spring sunset.
Once the initial shock of the scene wore off he finally noticed the limp figure in the centre of the hall, a sobbing girl. He looked again blinking....

With a gulp, Ash faced into the centre of the room and took a step forward.
"Excuse me miss," He called out, "have you seen my pokemon?"
"I mean, I don't mean to intrude but she ran off and I'm worried about her..." He faltered as the crying figure lifted itself up from the ground. "She was kinda up... Um?"
He faltered to a stop as the crying girl faced him. Aged about eight or nine she was definitely naked, but that wasn't the surprising part. The Caucasian flesh around her pert belly button flowed up to just above her chest and the edge of her small waist where it gave way to thin, short fur that was light blown in colour which curled around and covered her back, legs and arms. On the shoulders she seamed to be wearing a shawl made of small leaves that sprouted from her collarbone. Above that collarbone her neck and face were flesh again with fur... No not fur. Her body was covered in fur but the edge around her face had back of her head was dark green flesh, the colour of grass and bark. Finally from the top of her head sprouted a large leaf the size of a hand. Sniffing as she looked up at Ash she flicked that leaf now without moving her head and a small sprey of bluish powder sprinkled out around her.
ash though unbidden. "Um, Chikorita?"
"Chick.." She sobbed..
"It IS you!" His nervousness suddenly vanished and he rushed across to the distraught girl wrapping his arms around her. "I'm sorry I was mad at you, I'm sorry, so sorry.... What on earth happened here?"
Feeling the girl shivering with racking sobs against her body ash panicked...
cold....
