Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon nor the characters in it. I make no money out of writting this. |
To DedicatedReader: Thank you for pointing out that error in the previous Chapter. Also chances are there probably will be some smut, I just don't know when. However I'm not really trying to win a popularity contest. If someone needs smut, well there are many stories out there that will give it. As long as I have at least one person reading this, I will be happy. Thank you for your concern though.

What was with the odd naming of places? This was no city. If anything this was what a town should look like. There were several houses, a Pokémon Center, a Mart and a Gym Leader building. Sweet, she could have her first Gym Battle! But first they both needed to rest and supplies. She walked into the red roofed building and quickly got Champ healed up. She didn’t say much to the pink haired woman. She just wanted to continue on with her adventure. She wanted to try to beat the gym leaders in record time!
Next was the Mart. The moment she walked in the store clerk looked over at her and smiled. “Hey! You came from Pallet Town?”
“Uh, yeah. Why?” she asked, coming in. she just wanted to buy some potions and Poké Balls but the guy seemed eager to talk. “You know Professor Oak, right?” She nodded and was about to ask where his Potions were stocked when the guy continued. Did no one in this country ever let you just talk? “His order has come in. Can I get you to take it to him?” The clerk asked, giving her a parcel.
She looked it over and asked “Why? Why should I bring it to him? What am I a delivery girl? The guy has two legs. And for that matter why didn’t he just have it mailed to him? Do I really need to do this?”
The clerk gave a nod. “You sure do.”
“And why is that?”
“Because I have orders from him to not sell you a damn thing until you give it to him.”
Tammy paused. “What? Seriously? I have money. I will pay you for this stuff. It’s not like I’m stealing it. Can’t I just pay for some stuff I need and give it to him anyway?”
“Nope.”
“What kind of sense does that make!? I have to seriously go back now! All the way back to Pallet town to give him this stupid package?”
“Parcel.”
“Whatever! Can’t I buy some Potions for my Pokémon? What if he gets hurt along the way?” She said, her temper rising.
“Sucks to be you.”
Tammy stood there, her face flushed in anger. “Fuck you.” She hissed, storming out of the Mart. She had never realized Oak was this much of an ass. He had called and told the Mart to not sell her anything until this was delivered! Champ followed her, looking up at her in concern. The girl walked down Route 1, ignoring all the Pokémon around her. Most were harmless anyway. None of them had attacked her before; she had been the one to start it. It was unfortunate then that in her rage she kicked a sleeping Rattata that was in her way.
“Out of my way stupid rat!” She growled.
“Rat…Ratta...Rattata!” The little Pokémon hissed. It would not let this insult go by! With a snarl it charged at Champ, the fire Pokémon to slow to dodge. Tammy turned around and groaned. “Oh great. Just what I need. But something wasn’t quite right. This Rattata looked stronger than all the others they had come across. “Damn, Champ Scratch it!”
Champ ran at the Rattata but it nimbly jumped out of the way. “Come on Champ, you can do it!” Tammy shouted. “Try again!” As Champ got up the Rattata ran at him, tackling him back to the ground. This Pokémon was giving him no chance. “Champ, what’s going on? Your stronger than this, I know you are, now beat that rat!” She shouted, her temper getting away from her. Champ gave a little whimper as the Rattata charged once more. And to Tammy’s surprise, as well as Champs, he opened his mouth and a spurt of small fire burst out. It singed the Rattata’s fur, and the Pokémon was so surprised it ran off.
Tammy blinked and looked at her battered Pokémon. “Champ…Champ you okay? She asked softly. What had been wrong with her? She had just been needlessly shouting at her partner. She could have done…something. She bit her lip and picked him up and returning him to his ball. “It’s ok Champ. I’m sure Oak can fix you up.” She ran back to Pallet Town, making sure she didn’t piss off any more Pokémon.
She made her way back to Professor Oak’s Lab. “This parcel had better be important.” She told him, passing it to Oak.
“Oh, Tammy! Thanks. How is my old Pokémon? Well, it seems to be growing more attached to you. You must be talented as a trainer.”
Tammy stared at him, un-amused. “How do you even know if my Pokémon likes me? I haven’t even shown him to you.”
Oak ignored her, turning his attention to the parcel. He opened it and inside was a…Poké Ball. “Ah! It’s the custom Poké Ball! I had it on order. Thank you!”
Tammy stood there, her left eye twitching. “You have got to be kidding me…” She hissed.
“Gramps!” Oh this was just what she needed. It was Gary. She turned to watch the boy walk up to them. “I almost forgot! What did you call me for?”
She couldn’t believe it. So Gary had been asked to come here by his grandpa, got a Pokémon…and left before he could even hear what his grandpa wanted?
“Oh, Right!” Oak replied with a smile. “I have a request for you two.” He walked back to a small desk, pointing to two small red computer-like devices on it. “On the desk is my invention, the Pokédex! It automatically records data on Pokémon you’ve seen or caught. It’s a high-tech encyclopedia! Tammy, Gary, take these with you.” He handed the two the devices, each examining it curiously. “You can’t get detailed data on Pokémon by just seeing them. You must catch them to obtain complete data. So here are some tools for catching Pokémon.”
It was then that Oak gave them both five Poké Balls. Tammy glared up at Oak and said “Seriously? You could not do all that when you first saw us? When we first got our Pokémon? You had to wait for me to fetch that retarded parcel?
Oak once more ignored her, acting as though she had said nothing. “When a wild Pokémon appears, its fair game. Just throw a Poké Ball at it and try to catch it! This won’t always work, however. A healthy Pokémon can escape. You have to be lucky. To make a complete guide on all the Pokémon in the world…that was my dream! But I’m too old. I can’t get the job done. So, I want you two to fulfill my dream for me. Get moving you two. This is a great undertaking in Pokémon history!”
Tammy couldn’t help but stare at him, unbelievingly. “Really? No seriously? You want us to live your dream? You’re trying to impose some great quest on us? Do you do this with every kid who comes in here? Do you know how many Pokémon even exist? And not just in Kanto. There are other continents with different Pokémon on them. There are well over five hundred KNOWN Pokémon. Not to mentioned what about the legendary ones? There are only like, one of each in the world that we know of. Are we supposed to go after those too? And for that matter why can’t you have a complete encyclopedia of these Pokémon? This information is already in here. Someone clearly wrote about each and every Pokémon. Why do we need to catch them just to unlock the information? Your quest is stupid. All I care about is the Gym Leaders and Elite Four. No way am I doing this.”
Gary only smirked after her long rant, Tammy panting heavily. “All right Gramps! Leave it all to me! Tammy, it seems you won’t be necessary for this.” He laughed “I know! I’ll borrow a Town Map from my sis. I’ll tell her not to lend you one, Tammy! Hahahahaha! Don’t bother coming around to my place after this!” With that Gary walked out, laughing to himself.
Tammy shook her head. She was going to go over there anyway. A Map of the area would be good to have. Oak had nothing more interesting to say and so she left to Gary’s house. Looked like Gary wasn’t here, but his sister was. The girl smiled at the sight of her, twirling a strand of her light brown hair on a finger. “Gramps asked you to run an errand, right? Gee, that’s lazy of him. Here, this will help you.” She passed Tammy a map that showed all of Kanto
Tammy chuckled and nodded. “Yeah, it was. I’m not going to bother with it though. Sounds like Gary has it covered anyway.” She put the map in her bag before heading back out. As she left she felt like she was forgetting something…oh well, probably not important.
Meanwhile her mother still sat in her house, sipping her cup of tea….
