Chapter 3: Celebrating the 25th!

Next morning came as the five suns rose with Solaris first to be seen followed by Celestia Alpha, then the Sun, fourth being Lylat, then last but not least Solar. Today, the group received special invitations to the Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Concert. The group headed for the Pewter City Train Station. There, they saw the train that they will ride in to go to the concert. The locomotive is a combination of a streamline and an older train. The front part being modeled after the train on Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. The front part has a Hylian crest with the three triangles of the Triforce. The rest is a streamliner decorated with all the characters from the LoZ series. Everyone there was looking forward to it, though almost everyone, except for Meila, Kelula, Seraphina, and Lilly who froze in fear, remembering horrific memories of being deported by the Nazis. The four girls shivered in fear with their bodies paled in horror.

The nearby conductor notices this, and politely asks them, "I take it you lovely young ladies have a fear of trains?"

The girls nodded nervously while shivering fearfully. Meila replied with a whimper, "Y-yes. We were put into box cars on a train by the Nazis when they deported us."

The conductor nodded in understanding, and replies with a reassuring smile, "Don't you worry, young ladies, you won't be put in any box car. In fact, this train has no box cars."

The girls sighed with relief. as the group including the three trainers got on the train in the passenger car. They found their seats and waited for everyone to get on. After all the passengers boarded the train named the Spirit Streamliner, the conductor announced, "Passengers, we are now departing for our destination, please fasten your seatbelts and keep arms inside at all times." At that moment the locomotive's whistle blew, as the train departed for its destination. The conductor turned on the Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks' overworld music and everyone loved it, as everyone on the train are hardcore Zelda fans. Also on the train is the Hero of Time himself, Link, who played the music on his ocarina, along with his wife Cynthia, and his son, Alister. Zelda was also on the train, as she played the tune on her ocarina, as well.

The locomotive sped past meadows and forests filled with wild pokemon, who watched curiously as the train chugged along. Lucas asks his ladies, "So, how do you like this train ride?"

Meila replied with cheerful glee, "I love it Lucas, I feel alot better now, and I no longer need to fear trains anymore. The scenery is beautiful as we pass by on the train. This is wonderful, and the music fits the train ride too." The other three nodded with agreement as they enjoy the train ride. The soon entered a tunnel in a mountain and saw a reflection on the windows, and can see a different realm with the legendary Ghost/Dragon-type pokemon known as Giratina flying around. Seraphina asked curiously, "Lucas, what is that place we just saw, and the dragon pokemon; It's Giratina, isn't it?"

"I believe we've just passed through the Distortion Realm", started Lucas with a smile, "Which is parallel to our reality, and also acts as the Afterlife. And yes, it's Giratina."

"Wow, so that was the God of Antimatter himself.", Seraphina replies in awe. The train soon exited the tunnel as they got closer to their destination. After many hours of travel, the train made it to its destination, as they stopped at a train station close to a theater decorated for the 25th Anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series.

Everyone got off the train, and headed to the theater which by now it is almost time for the concert to start, so everyone went inside, which has the auditorium and a large screen for showing the sequences and gameplay of each Zelda game from the original The Legend of Zelda, to the most recent and coming out in the holiday season, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Everyone found their seats, as the musicians readied their instruments, and the conductor getting his composure.

They started with Part I by playing the Hyrule Castle theme from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, which was released for the Super NES. The crowd cheered as they played. The screen showed gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, from the intro to going through the castle to fighting Agahnim, too, going through the Dark World, to the final battle with Ganon. While that is going on they played Princess Zelda's theme. After that, they began playing music from Windwaker starting with the Legendary Hero, then Outset Island, Forsaken Fortress, then Great Sea, Dragon Roost Island, Reunion with Aryll, Pirates, Zelda's Awakening, Hero of Winds, Ganondorf Battle, and Staff credits. Then, they started playing the Ocarina Songs from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. After that they played Boss battle music including Molgeria, Mid-boss and Dinosaur boss battle, Phantom Ganon battle, and Boss battle two from Twilight Princess. In addition to displaying gameplay footage, the screen also showed fun-facts about the games.

They also then played Kakariko Village from Twilight Princess, then Gerudo Valley, Great Fairy's Fountain, Spirit Tracks Overworld, Light World from A Link to the Past, Hyrule Field from Twilight Princess, Ganondorf's theme from Ocarina of Time, Ganon's Tower, Ganon Battle, The Sacred Realm, Midna's theme, Staff credits from Twilight Princess, Dark World from A Link to the Past, Lost Woods, the Ballad of the Goddess from Skyward Sword, and finally, for the finale is the Legend of Zelda main theme. When the performance was finished, everyone started applauding, as the musicians and conductor take their bows.

After that, everyone headed back home. The group took the train back to Pewter City. The next few days was spent training for the upcoming Gym Battle. They took a breather for awhile, and Star noticed Arceus feeling sadness and did not feel like doing much. He often cried in his sleep, remembering the deaths of his children that died the previous year, and that today was the very day of the tragedy that befell his world centuries earlier. Not only that, he also remembered, that no one has celebrated his birthday since far back in ancient times, and feels neglected by people who seemed to have forgotten af his existence, and that it seems he is only revered in Sinnoh, but not in other regions and felt heartbroken. Storm clouds formed over Kanto and spread to Sinnoh, Johto, outward to the rest of the world and rained tears.

Arceus stood outside in the rain in tears, crying loudly in sadness. The Original One himself ran off to a forest in tears, crying. Star and Farrah followed his tracks, concerned for him. They followed until they saw Arceus curled up on the ground, crying hysterically in sadness, with tears streaming down his tear soaked face. He was drenched in tears and a puddle of tears lay around him. Star asks him, "Can you tell us what troubles you?"

Arceus replies with tears in his eyes, "I miss my children, and today, it has been centuries since the tragedy, and I feel forgotten by humans, too. No one has celebrated my birthday since ancient times, and even then it was rare. I feel abandoned by humans, and and they don't revere me much like in Sinnoh, like they used to. I almost never hear prayers, except for those close to me but other then that, there is silence. I feel if I am not needed by humans much anymore...", as he cried even louder as rain fell even harder, from the increasing intensity of his sadness and heartbreak. His sadness has spread to Heaven too. All the legendary pokemon noticed this and knew their illustrious leader is experiencing deep sadness and despair.

Farrah replied, "It's okay Arceus. Please, don't cry.", as she then nuzzled Arceus reassuringly, but it only seemed to be false comfort to him, as he continued crying.

Star was about to try and comfort Arceus herself, but was interrupted by the arrival of Jesus Christ. He went over to Arceus, and gently strokes his hand through the poke-god's fur.

Arceus calmed, but continued crying softly while shaking, and cried himself to sleep still in tears, as Jesus asks, "What troubles Arceus today?"

Star replies sadly, seeing Arceus crying in his sleep with tears still in his eyes, "Arceus misses his children who were killed last year, and he is remembering the tragedy that befell his world centuries ago. Not only that, he feels forgotten and unwanted by humanity. He also feels abandoned and not revered by humans anymore. No one ever has celebrated his birthday since ancient times, but even then, it's rare. He also feels that humans no longer need him, and has not heard anymore prayers, as no one bothers praying to him except those close to him. Other than that, it's silence. It's like his world is falling apart, I can't stand seeing him like this. I know he felt sadness before, but not to this extent."

Jesus remarks, "How sad. There must be a way for us to bring Arceus' spirits back up."

Star replies, "But how can we? That's easier said then done. I know this is not going to be easy. There is a lot we need to do. Still, I don't want Arceus to live his life in complete sadness, and I don't want it to get worse either."

Jesus replies seeing Arceus in such a sad and defeated state, still crying in his sleep, "Perhaps we could have missionaries of Arceism go around the world and spread the word of Arceus."

Star replies, "You know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea." and continues while nuzzlingArceus reassuringly, "But there is one problem; what if our missionaries face hostility, and people refuse to believe. It would be worse for Arceus, if they do and then turn their backs on him at the last possible minute. Also, I will need to bring his and my children back to life, and somehow set up a birthday party for him somehow. Who knows how long it will take, and how do you suggest I help him in the meantime? I can sense that his spirit is broken into pieces...", as she noticed Arceus almost choking on his tears, which have gone into his throat as he cried, and coughed up his tears.

The Lord himself thought for a moment, before responding, "One thing for certain, is that if Arceism is to survive and be revitilized, we will need Christianity and Judaism to step in to help, and to let others know of what Arceus is going through right now, and the possible consequences that Arceus would never feel happiness in his life if no one acts, and he will need the reassurance and comfort of his family and friends too. It is important for the Religous Triad to stay together, and help if one religon is on the verge of collapse. People need to know how much Arceus has done for this world. He saved this planet from destruction so many times, and risked his life in doing so."

"You know", started Farrah, "He saved me from my cruel former master, and I know he helped Shyla, Cora, and Aqua, who had a similar past and situation I did, and he helped us. Not only that, he did saved many Jewish prisoners from Auschwitz centuries ago, and if it weren't for him, they would have died. I love him so much, and it breaks myheart seeing him like this. I look forward to bearing his child someday, but right now, he needs emotional healing."

Star nodded in agreement, as Jesus remarks, "I wonder what Arceus would want for his birthday party?"

She replies, "I know that he would like his children brought back to life. I will have to talk with the legendaries on how we will plan one. I will need help from his friends and family. We need to figure out where we could have it."

"What about a surprise party?", asks Farrah

"Yes, that could work, and I will talk with the legendaries to plan it. For now, I need to take Arceus back to the Pokemon Center.", Star replies as she used Psychic to put him on her back, so she could carry him. Star and Farrah soon arrived back at the Pokemon Center, though it was still raining with Arceus' tears. She took him inside and went to the bedroom, and laid him on the had Archaera sleep beside him to comfort him, while she went outside to call the legendaries to an important meeting.

She called out in a booming voice, "Legendaries of the world, hear my call, report here for a meeting!"

Within minutes, all the legendaries from all over arrived at the Center, all were worried and concerned for their leader.

Star starts, "This meeting has come to order. Now, as you may have noticed, Arceus has become saddened, and it is raining as a result."

Dialga asks her, "What is the cause of such emotional strife that befalls our father?", at which she replied, "He missed his children, and today, it has been centuries since the destruction of the old world. Plus, he hasn't heard anymore prayers and he feels abandoned."

"No wonder", remarked Palkia, "I thought the lack of prayers to Arceus seemed suspicious."

"Not only that, he feels that humanity does not need him even after all he has done and they have forgotten of his existance. Also, no-one has celebrated his birthday at all since ancient times, yet even then, it's rare. I also found from reading his thoughts, is that he feels that humans don't care about him, and no one outside his friends or family cares about his well-being, and show no compassion or concern when he ends up at the Pokemon Center, like what happened three months ago. I sense that his spirit has broken into pieces...", adds Star sadly

Giratina replies, "I can feel his sorrow, even in the Distortion Realm. It's raining tears there too. What can we do to help father?"

Farrah replied, "Jesus Christ suggested that we send missionaries of Arceism to different parts of the world. Plus, as for his birthday, I suggested a surprise party."

"How nice", smiled Palkia, "And about those missionaries. What if they fail to convince those people?"

Star replied, "You know, I thought of the same thing."

Palkia nods with understanding. Star then notices the tears raining down harder to a downpour, and the wind howled with Arceus' voice pleading to the world "Why have you humans forsaken me! How could you, after all I have done for you all? How could you abandon me!" Arceus' voice was heard all over.

Star felt her heart break at the tone, and prayed desperately for someone to help him, "Please, all ye creatures of the world, show Arceus thy faith!". By dawn, which is Sunday, people all over headed to church to pray. Churches and other places of worship of Christianity, Judaism, and Arceism, were filled with people who prayed to Arceus. while the musicians played Oracion at max volume. with bells tolling the very song that calmed Dialga and Palkia in Alamos Town. The Space-Time Towers in Alamos Town played Oracion at max volume, as people prayed to Arceus for forgiveness and a revival of their faith. Revivals started as people and choirs sang hymns of praise and renewal of faith.

Arceus felt the energy from all these things, and smiled. With that, the rains stopped and the skies cleared while the winds calmed. But still, he missed his children and didn't get to celebrate his birthday.

Meanwhile, we see Lucas helping Lilly, Seraphina, and Kelula with their training for the gym battle.

"You're doing fabulous!", praised Lucas, "Just fabulous!"

Seraphina giggles, "Aw, thank you.", as she ordered to her Pidgeotto to use Steel Wing against Dawn's Piplup, as a sparring partner.

Dawn ordered her Piplup to reply with a Whirlpool attack. "Look out!", the Jewish girl warned the Flying-type pokemon. Her Pidgeotto dodged the attack, before quickly getting an opening to use Steel Wing.

The attack connected, as Piplup was sent flying, while Pidgeotto finished with Aerial Ace, knocking the penguin pokemon out, with K.O. swirls in his eyes.

Lucas praises, "That was an amazing training battle!", as Seraphina and Dawn did a high five. After training for a while, they decided to go to the Pewter City Gym for the Boulder Badges.

The group went towards the Pewter City Gym, which took 15 minutes to get there. On the way to the Gym, they had a brief run-in with some Holocaust deniers.

One of them sneers at Lucas, "Well, it looks like you have those (bleep) Jewish girls here, you-", when the immortal trainer interrupted, "Why don't you leave them out of this, you son of a (bleep)? We're on our way to the Pewter City Gym, if you don't mind."

He and the group, including N and the three trainers, walked to the gym ingoring them.

N remarks, "Such arrogant, despicable fellows, aren't they?", to which Lucas nods with agreement, as they finally made it to the Pewter City Gym.

Lucas smiled, "Here we are; Pewter City Gym."

They came into the Gym, and is greeted by Forrest, one of Brock's siblings, who had taken his place, since Brock himself had went on to achieve his dreams.

Forrest asks, "So, you here for a Gym Battle?", at which Lucas replied, "We're here for Lilly, Seraphina, and Kelula's battles."

The sibling of Brock nodded in understanding as he then asks, "Who would like to go first?"

Kelula raised her hand, volunteering to go first. Forrest smiled, "Well, then, let's rock!", as he pulled out his Steelix's pokeball.

She sent out her Charmander as she threw her pokeball, with the Fire Lizard Pokemon coming out. Forrest caught a glimpse of a tatto on her left forearm with letters and numbers: J306401, but decided to ask after the battle as he sent out Steelix out of its pokeball.

Kelula brings out her Pokedex to give her the run-down on the Iron Snake Pokemon

The Pokedex chirped, "Steelix, the Iron Snake Pokemon, and the evolved form of Onix. Steelix's body is much harder than any metal as it is tempered underground under high pressure and heat."

"Charmander, start off with Flamethrower!", Kelula ordered as Charmander let out a stream of flames at Steelix, dealing massive damage, since Steel-types are weak against Fire.

"No Steelix, hang in there and use Iron Tail!", Forrest commanded

"Charmander ,dodge and use another Flamethrower!" Kelula ordered as Charmander dodged Steelix, but got hit and then used Flamethrower which KO'd Steelix, who has anime swirls in his eyes.

"Steelix is unable to battle, Charmander is the winner", announced Flint, Brock's father, who is acting as referee

"You did it, Charmander!", praised Kelula as she gave her Fire-type a hug

After the battle which she won, Kelula decided to tell Forrest of her past. "I've seen that look in your eyes before you've started the battle; you're curious of my markings.", started Kelula, "In case you're wondering, it's my number when I was a prisoner of the Nazis."

Forrest got curious, having never heard of the Nazis, and asks, "The Nazis? Who were they?"

Kelula replies with a look of sadness and pain, "A corrupt, racially-motivated regime that held the idea of a 'master race' of humans called the Aryans, who are supposedly better than other races of humans. They oppressed Jewish people like myself, Gypsies, and even homosexuals.", at which the younger brother of Brock remarks, "That's terrible what you went through! If I had my way, I'd have Steelix crush a few of these Nazis in his coils, just to watch them suffer."

"I know. But if it weren't for Dialga, I would not be here today. I will never forget that day when I met the Time God himself. It all started around September, at a concentration camp near Auschwitz, one of the most notorious of the Nazi contentration camps.", she started

[Flashback]

We see Kelula, who has found a way to escape when the SS soldiers weren't looking, and ran as fast as she could out of the camp, the SS Soldiers right on her tail. She prayed silently filled with desperation, "God...please, save me! I want to be with my friend Meila!", as she made it into a clearing, where she encountered Dialga, the God and Master of Time himself, who answered her prayers that went from God to Dialga in the future. Kelula was terrified at the sight of the Temporal Dragon and hid behind a nearby tree. The SS troops caught up only to be blocked by Dialga. The troopers demanded for the girl, only to meet their fates at Dialga's hand He turned around to see the frightened Jewish girl behind the tree, and called to her in a reassuring and fatherly tone, "Come on out, child, do not be afraid. I will not hurt you."

Kelula nervously came out from behind the tree, revealing her nude and battered form. Dialga lowered his head at her eye level to appear less intimidating, as so not to frighten her further. He then nudged her gently. Kelula pets him in return, before collapsing on the ground in exhaustion. Dialga asks her, "Are you alright, child?"

She managed to get up, and when she heard more footsteps and yelling, she knew that more troopers were coming. Frightened, the Jewish girl clinged desperately to Dialga's left front leg, pleading with tears in her eyes, "Please, don't leave me here! Don't let them hurt me!", as he soothed, "Do not fear, child, I would not think of abandoning you. I shall bring you to Meila. Now hold on tight, for I am taking you to the future."

With that, Dialga's diamond on his chestplate glowed bright blue along with his light blue markings, while the spines on the back grew thinner and more pronounced, as Dialga gathered energy and finally let out a Roar of Time, as both disappeared in a blue light, while a blue shockwave shot outward across the land to the rest of the world.

[End Flashback]
