Chapter #4—The Bold Conclusion
There was no telling exactly when Master Kazuma’s form would be appearing through those trees that bordered Shigure’s yard. Yuki, Kyo and Tohru spent every moment they could prepairing for that time, without leaving the house unless they were going to school. In the morning Kyo would still train but this time he had Yuki by his side and they would have short sparing fights for the sake of practacing. Monday came and it was Kyo’s first day back to school in a long time and he was suprized at how many people were worried about him. The Yuki Fan Club Girl’s were a little worried about him just because of the fact that he was related to Yuki, all of his classmates were worried, all of his teachers, and Hana and Uo were worried as well. In the morning Kyo had to actually sit up on the middle of a table as everyone else moved the desks and tables to croud around him so that they could hear what they had to say; Tohru, Hana and Uo standing at the front of the class and just watching with Yuki, Momitchi and Hatsuharu.
“Look at him, he doesn’t know what to think of all these people, wanting to know what exactly happened and if he was okay.” Uo said with a smile as she was teasing the way Kyo was truly embarrassed and clueless at the same time and Yuki could only giggle lightly to himself about the whole thing.
“I don’t think it’s all that suprizing.” Yuki said and it was then that the Yuki Fan Club Girls rushed into the room, about to do their usual cheer when Yuki held up his hand and they instantly stopped. “The past three months have been quite a mess, but there is one dramatic change to where you girls can’t hound over me anymore.” Yuki said and the girls gasped as Yuki passed them and Tohru just smiled as he walked right up behind Kyo and wrap his arms around Kyo’s waist pulling him into a loving hug, resting his head upon the back of Kyo’s shoulder and Kyo looked back at him, not expecting this but then smiled and leaned his head upon Yuki’s and placing his right hand over Yuki’s hands in a cuddling way.
The Fan Club Girls couldn’t have been more shocked to think that they had lost their prince Yuki to his own cousin. Yuki and Kyo didn’t care what the world thought of them because this, in their oppinion, was their first step in practice of gaining up the courage to tell Akito about the fact that they were in love. Hatsuharu then walked up and pulled slightly on Yuki’s sleave and Yuki shifted and looked over at him.
“So you know, Shihan should be at the house by the time you guys get home…just be careful.” Hatsuharu whispered and both Yuki and Kyo nodded in understanding.
After school Yuki, Kyo and Tohru were trying to get home as quick as possible but when they came through the forest to the front door they found that the front door was closed and the figure of Akito stood leaned back against the wall, just beside the door, his hands in his pocket and smiling as he was listening to what Shigure and Master Kazuma were talking about, hearing everything about Yuki and Kyo’s relationship. At this point Yuki and Kyo knew that Shigure and Master Kazuma never noticed that Akito was ever there as they were talking. It was then that Akito lifted his right hand out of his pocket and ran his fingers through his hair with a sadistic smile and he then began to give a hollow laugh as he pushed away from the wall.
“So my suspissions were true. I never would have expected you to fall for Kyo, Yuki…you must be so disappointed Miss Handa.” Akito said and Tohru stayed quiet.
Akito stepped down from the porch and he pulled his other hand out from his pocket before he began to approach Yuki but Kyo got in the way and Akito stopped at the sight of him and Yuki reached out and grabbed Kyo’s arm but he instantly grabbed ahold of Yuki’s shirt at the hip level to stop him from trying to push him out of Akito’s way.
“Kyo, don’t go getting yourself hurt.” Yuki said.
“No, I’m not moving. I might not be in the Zodiac because I’m the cat but that doesn’t mean I’m not a person and Yuki might be the rat but he’s just as much of a person as Tohru is…As people we have desided to love eachother reguardless of what some stupid legend says.” Kyo said in a way to change the focus to Akito in a protesting way and Akito stood boldly now with his blue-grey eyes narrowed slightly, out of anger to what Kyo had just said and it was then that he punched Kyo strate across the face and he flew to the side with a bloody lip and a bruised cheek.
“People, you say!? What kind of person transeforms the way you do!? You two say you love eachother but I won’t allow it!” Akito yelled before he reached out and grabbed Yuki by his throat and Yuki instantly grabbed his wrist to try to make him let go. “And you, Yuki! I would have expected better! Do I always have to pound EVERYTHING into you, because I’ll be glad to do it again!”
“Akito!” Came Shigure’s voice and both Shigure and Kazuma took hold of Akito and pulled him off of Yuki and Kyo caught Yuki as he fell to his knees in fear as well as to catch his breath, both of them now sitting upon the ground, by a well that is in the middle of the yard; It was then that Akito got one arm free and pointed strate at Kyo.
“THIS IS YOUR FAULT, YOU DAMN CAT! YOU, RUBBING YOUR FILTH UPON THE ZODIAC! YOU DON’T REALLY LOVE ANYONE IN THE ZODIAC SO ALL YOU CAN GIVE IS PAIN!” Akito yelled at the top of his lungs with how angry he was and every word poured into Kyo, stabbing into his heart, beginning to make him feel exactly the way he use to when he was a child, thinking everything actually was his fault, but the screaming was far from over, “YOU COULD NEVER BE A SUITABLE LOVER FOR ANYONE, ESPESHALLY NOT IN THE ZODIAC! YOU SHAME EVERYONE AROUND YOU WITH YOUR VERY PRESENSE! NOT ONE PERSON WOULD LOVE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE BECAUSE THEY HATE YOU, ESPESHALLY THE ZODIAC—”
“STOP IT!” Yuki yelled out as he pulled away from Kyo to stand up, glaring at Akito as he was still being held and everyone fell silent. “What could you possibly know about love Akito?! You’ve never experienced it, never truly seen it for what it is…you cause all of this pain for the people around you all because you’re angry about having to be cursed the most out of all of us! WELL I’VE HAD ENOUGH!” Yuki said and he then looked back down at Kyo who was still sitting upon his knees and he then reached down and wiped a tear from Kyo’s eye and holding it so that he could see it. “See that…you’re crying again because people are telling you things that aren’t even a part of who you really are…the cat is only a form for you Kyo…it doesn’t mean that you’re easy to fool…or that you’re always trying to cause problems for the rat…or that you’re bad luck…I was to ignorant to realize that until just recently so the only thing that’s truly your fault is the fact that Akito lost his favorite rat to the cat and for that…I have never been happier.” Yuki said and Kyo’s eyes teared up even more but this time it was out of happiness and Yuki dropped to his knees in front of Kyo and tipped his chin up only slightly higher and gently kissed his lips and received the same kiss in return.
“Akito-san…in a lot of ways, love can mold and shape the way kindness does. It comes differently for every two people.” Tohru said as she stepped up between Akito, who was still being held, and Yuki and Kyo and she then smiled. “Some people like to hear people say they love them and others like to see it. If love was only restricted to people of the same class then love really wouldn’t be love now would it…it would be lust.” She then truly turned to Akito as he was shocked and also slightly open about her words. “And you, having never been hugged or held by a lover, let alone a friend is going to have to change so that you can begin to see the gentle side of people and be able to mold your kindness before you mold your love.” Tohru said and Akito pulled a little bit but Shigure and Kazuma held him.
“And how will that happen…this entire family would smile to see me stay to myself.” Akito said in his emotionlessly cold tone and Tohru’s smile widened just a little bit more.
“Well, wether you want me to be or not, I’m your friend Akito-san and I am going to give you your first gentle hug from one friend to another.” Tohru said and the two smiled and let Akito go before Tohru tackled him into a hug and he was shocked by it and tried to wheezle his way out but she gently wrapped her arms around him in a more trapping way so that he couldn’t possibly get away and he then just looked at her as she was perfectly content before he just propped himself back upon his elbows and he would just glare off to the side in his usual way as everyone, including Yuki and Kyo were smiling with how calm Akito had become.
And one case of love is solved between the Sohma family…but there are many crisises yet to come…
